Notes

The Sam Parr series may be coming to a close, or has closed already, even. I’ll create a part 2 of the interpretations tomorrow or Thursday, most likely. Is this it for Collagesity, then? I’ve learned today that my only real neighbor, Veyot, is pulling out asap. Nothing has been happening in Collagesity proper for a while as I instead focused on Sam Parr State College. I also have an opportunity to jump up in tier without buying land, and in *Sunklands*. Not sure I want to make this jump but strange that it’s even an option at this point — just found it after Veyot told me she is leaving Noru. Other options include just selling the Collagesity land and keeping the Sam Parr “gallery” in Philudoria, on my free 2048 there. So I’m at a decision point. I have about a week, perhaps a little more, for an ultimate decision. I’ve hung onto Collagesity, Noru style, for almost 4 months now.

I have a bit of a cold, which is unusual for me. Can’t seem to fully shake it. Purchased a mocha latte by accident today, which brought it back.

I need to work on the Sunklands site. Maybe I better give Carrcassonnee and Hucka D. a break tonight, pheh.

Snapshot2025_001
Neighbor Veyot’s already pulled out. Things in SL are so transient!

Snapshot2025_002
I want to keep Collagesity. It’s a great place. But is it fate I move on? It could be.

Snapshot2025_003
Maybe speaking with Carrcassonnee can help after all.

—–

Carrcassonnee:

Welcome, Baker Bloch. Speak your questions.

bb:

Well, is this the end of Collagesity, Noru style?

Carr.:

I do not know how to answer that question.

bb:

Is a return to Sunklands in the cards?

Carr.:

Sunklands is always in the cards. It’s where you end SL.

bb:

Not Noru.

Carr.:

No.

bb:

Is there really a need for almost 2x as much land as I have already?

Carr.:

Not really.

bb:

If I stayed, what else could I do with Collagesity in Noru?

Carr.:

Not much.

bb:

Should the focus be on Frank and Herman Parks?

Carr.:

Yes!

bb:

Thank you.

Interpretations 01

“Sam Parr collage process perhaps finally winding down, Hucka D. Is it time to start interpreting? Maybe that will help me seal the deal.”

Hucka D.:

Your choice. Do you want to start at the beginning?

bb:

Why not.

Snapshot1284_007v

Hucka D.:

What’s happening here, then?

bb:

Well, this is the snapshot that was suppose to show Story Room’s new digs at Sam Parr State College, after they agreed to join the faculty and at least teach the course called “Composing with the colors red, yellow, blue”.

Hucka D.:

And then all these other things showed up in the collage… I mean, snapshot.

bb:

Correct. Karoz Blogger was super excited to find this out. “My college is turning into a *col*-lage — he emphasized the first syllable to associate it with the word college, see.

Hucka D.:

I see. There was talk of recreating all the elements of this collage as Second Life cutouts. This was rejected as being too literal.

bb:

It was discussed or at least thought of, yes.

Hucka D.:

Well talk about the images, then.

bb (taking a gander):

We start, obviously, with the central 3 figures of Story Room, standing on the stoop of their new home in Collagesity. Address: 2130.

Hucka D.:

Like the numbers above the entrance to the mystery corridor of the old Confluence Place. I miss that place.

bb:

It’s slightly off my actual property.

Hucka D.:

I haven’t been inside.

bb:

Believe me, there’s not much there. There’s nothing there in fact. Not in this dimension. But in the 2130 dimension I would assume Story Room has quite comfortable quarters. They haven’t complained yet.

Hucka D.:

Do they miss Stonethwaite? I know they each had comfortable beds in the various inns they owned there.

bb:

I believe they plan to go back.

Hucka D.:

Nice. So they’re just here for the semester? Kind of visiting faculty?

bb:

I suppose. But back to the collage…

Hucka D.:

Is Redd Foxx going to take their course?

bb:

I believe everyone in the college has enrolled in their course, Hucka D. All 6 or 7 of them.

Hucka D.:

Well if Redd Foxx has enrolled then the count would be 7. Because he is the last. And the first. Is there an actual prostitute working on the grounds of [Sam Parr State College]?

bb (laughs):

I don’t think so, Hucka D.

Hucka D.:

As I understand there are 5 Sam Parrs that have access to the college grounds, and one of them is a hooker. Like Carrcassonnee. And that brings up an interesting question. Which of the Parrs is real and owns the college here?

bb:

All 5, if that’s actually the correct number, own the college jointly, Hucka D.

Hucka D.:

Are any of them in this first collage?

bb:

No. (pause) So back to the collage…

Hucka D. (interrupting again):

All these images that I see come from the Falmouth series. This is simply a clearing out of that series so you can get to the meat of the Sam Parr stuff. Don’t you think?

bb:

There’s certainly that element.

Hucka D.:

I don’t think it needs interpreting. Except for the fact that you put this collage in the building to the left, with Roger Pine Ridge the First greeting people at the new gallery door. He stands in front of the 2141 building, interestingly enough. Yes, that’s interesting. 2130, then 2141. And you thought the address of this new gallery on the other side of the walkway from 2141 would be 2119, 11 down from 2130 instead of 11 up, see.

bb:

I see. But then I renamed it, in quick succession, “Gallery 2130”, then “Gallery 2130?”, then just “Gallery ?”. And then I simply eliminated the gallery and moved the new collages to the Admin Building of the campus, where they still are. And I don’t think they’ll move back here, even though the gallery has been re-rezzed just last night.

Hucka D.:

Tonight.

bb:

This is… you go ahead.

Hucka D.:

This is the lasting effects of Falmouth. We do not have to interpret. Do you want to move into other collages tonight?

bb:

Oh why not. Here’s the second, then, which is an animation. It refers to the 2 Roger Pine Ridges and the houses we 1, live in, and then, 2, *want* to live it. The nicer of the 2, the desired for house, is under Roger Pine Ridge 2, who is Roger Waters variant. The present house is under Roger Pine Ridge 1, or Barrett. Neither of the 2 houses are real, and neither are the 2 Rogers. The truth lies between the 2 in each case.

rogers06a

Hucka D.:

Good. Then we can move into collages 3 and 4. This is the picture of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Parr the Androgynous who bought the college at this point and renamed it from Falmouth to Sam Parr. Correct?

bb:

I believe so.

Hucka D.:

And this is a picture, in actuality, of 1 of the 5 Sam Parrs who plan to sue you for using their images in your collages.

bb:

Well…

Hucka D.:

It is, though.

bb:

Yeah. But I have to use Sam Parr images for a reason. In collage 4 the perch is revealed, which is the contraption owned by Roger Pine Ridge. Both of ’em. Supposedly Roger hid it in Kansas, but not the state. Instead, Kansas refers to a small canyon near my house where the toy happening called Lion Roar occurred Fall 2012.

Hucka D.:

I remember.

samparr04real07

And in collage 5, with a picture of 2 fisherman — composite — from Sam Parr State *Park* in Jasper County, Illinois…

Hucka D.:

Good to get that off your chest.

bb:

Anyway, they reveal the perch again. 2 fish, one perpendicular to the other, reveal the contraption again, like on Sam Parr 04. It’s called “Perched Again.”

contraption13test01

Hucka D.:

And then with collage 06 and 07, a diptych, we move into a [work] that compares in complexity to the first of the series. But this is pure Sam Parr now… we have cleared out most of the lingering influence of Falmouth. Haven’t we?

bb:

Maybe. Sam Parr, model, has become a symbol of God that is also Carrcassonnee, newly positioned inside the TILE Cathedral of the college. Baker Bloch appears below her, in worshipping position, just as he would in the cathedral. He asks questions as usual, and perhaps gets answers. He asks about TILE… a green being manifests to the left and legos of the color red, yellow, blue spill out of a barrel in front of him. This is obviously Story Room again in some way.

Hucka D.:

The green man is Karoz Blogger, the president of the college. The green man, the 4th, has always been Karoz. He’s always been here. I should know.

bb:

Because you’ve always been here.

Hucka D.:

Yes.

samparr07real12b

bb:

Cool. I now see this barrel is the same as the trash can connecting the 2 parts of the collage. This is the contraption again. And the yellow, blue, red marbles are directly above this joined trash can. That’s pretty cool — I didn’t intend it that way, or its not on purpose.

Hucka D.:

See? It’s good to interpret your collages. You see things that you didn’t consciously create.

bb:

Yes.

Hucka D.:

Redd Foxx appears on the shore of Sam Parr Reservoir. We should probably explain that the setting is Sam Parr State Park here and its central lake. Pretty place. Redd Foxx is the last student admitted to Sam Parr State College this Fall. And the first. He, unfortunately, inquired about the hooker.

bb:

The hooker, however, is just Carrcassonnee, joking around.

Hucka D.:

No joke. She is a hooker.

bb:

Carrcassonnee is a God. A minor God perhaps, but a kind of God.

Hucka D.:

Yes. She’s that too.

bb:

Let’s go to the other half of the diptych.

samparr10real12

Baker Bloch again appears on his pillow in worshipping position. However, a Sam Parr image, crouching, fronts him instead of backs him, as in the first part. They are yin and yang, alpha and omega.

Hucka D.:

They are Whitesburg and Blackey, the parents of Foxx. He is black and white and red all over. He is of course a newspaper. And an embarrassed Skunk. Embarras… Ambraw. Hmm.

bb:

An actual red fox doubles for Redd Foxx. 2 Sam Parr wedding models stand close together in the center, framing the mirrored garbage container which we also know now is the contraption again, binding the 2 parts of the diptych together. A frog appears in the tree, and also in the sky. A martin bird looks on.

Hucka D.:

We’ll get back to that martin bird. What is, then, happening in collage 08?

samparr08real06

bb:

Sam Parr reappears, with the head of Redd Foxx now.

Hucka D.:

The 2 have become one. A bed is below. A woman with the word HOOKER hovering above her head is to the side. A more shadowy, smaller man heads toward the hooker. The hooker has become Lancaster Dodd, the Hubbard double in the movie The Master. We have reached the meat of the Sam Parr collages at last… what they’re all about. It’s about TILE.

bb:

Thank you Hucka D. We’ll continue another night.

Questions

Snapshot2021_001

Baker rejoices in the illuminated green hills of Nabi before heading over to the TILE Cathedral to ask Carrcassonnee some more questions. Karoz was on his back today about doing too much work at work. He asked Karoz if he were [delete name]. Surprisingly the answer came back affirmatively. Certainly something for Baker to think about as he headed over to speak to Carr. We join the discussion in progress.

—–

Carr.:

Instead you must bend the bow back… like this (demonstrating). See how easy that is?

Baker Bloch:

I wonder if Karoz knows about this.

Carr.:

Oh yes, he shot a jackelope just the other day.

—–

Actually let’s fast forward a bit to get to the more meaty stuff….

—–

Baker Bloch:

And then Herman revealed *he* was the monster. Ahahaha!

Carr. (also laughing):

HAR HAR HAR.

—–

Let’s go a little further…

—–

Baker Bloch:

… also ran for president in that year. We haven’t talked about him much in this blog, in contrast to the other Clinton.

Carr.:

What year is it?

Hucka Doobie:

1877.

—–

I forgot that Hucka Doobie joined in the discussion about 40 minutes in. He didn’t have much to add, though, so let’s skip to about 55 minutes, just around the time he left. I promise this will be more interesting.

—–

Hucka Doobie:

Winter was not a good time for Bill. He started to freeze up during his speeches. We began to think back to Big Chimney and the good ol’ days. Bill pulled out the folder. Started reading. Started chuckling. I asked for details, and wished he would stop constantly chomping on that god darn corndog of his. Always eating and chomping.

Baker Bloch:

I hated that too.

Hucka Doobie:

Not surprising Baker Bloch. Is Baker Blinker outside still, waiting in the boat?

Bill (chuckling and reading):

“And then…” hehe… “And then he started looking for the other fisherman.” Har har! This stuff is a hoot. Who thought all this up?

Hucka Doobie:

Well… you did. Mr. President. Mr. First Man I should say.

—–

I guess Hucka Doobie stayed longer than I thought he did. Oh, and we’re almost at the end of the tape. Let’s go to about 5 minutes before the end.

—–

Hucka Doobie:

You know, Bill, you don’t have to go back in time and change everything like you did before. You can just leave it as is. Hillary would never know.

Bill:

Shhhhhh! Don’t even say that name here. Baker b. might put it in his blog.

—–

Ooops.

Sam Parr update.

Snapshot2019_001

I keep churning out Sam Parr collages, 2 on Friday (samparr 06/07) and another rough draft yesterday (samparr 08). I don’t anticipate this going beyond 10 or 11 collages, however, but of course could be wrong. It’s not going to go on and on like the Falmouth series from early this year I don’t believe. Is it? I don’t think I have the energy for another one of those. It greatly surprised me that another collage series surfaced so soon after what I would consider the massive Falmouth effort. Between the 2 Carrcass-11 also formed, although I haven’t been able to “fix* it yet (tape it, in essence). And a Carrcass-12 could even be on the horizon. And also between Falmouth and Sam Parr was created Collagesity itself, first in an intense psychic battle between Noru and Rubi (Noru winning, of course) basically ending in the formation of the new virtual town, and then the further development of the town itself, first focusing on Westside and now Southside and its Sam Parr State College. Westside was essentially sacrificed for Southside. The core of the town remains mostly the same, built around the central Falmouth, Toxic Art and Power Tower galleries. What place does the brand new Sam Parr series and the harbouring Sam Parr State Park College have here? It is a question to keep asking. It’s something new.

State your questions.

Snapshot2015_004

—–

Carr.:

I have scanned your mind and will answer some before you speak physically. The Master has intimate tiles with TIE.

Baker Bloch:

You mean, ties with TILE obviously.

Carr.:

TILE colors appear in several spots. Karoz wants you to think about The Master and TILE. The Master has appeared before in one of me. Tasted like chicken.

Baker Bloch:

Yes, that joke was funny the first and perhaps second go around.

Carr.:

Are you mocking me? Your God?

Baker Bloch:

I don’t think you’re a God, Carrcassonnee.

Carr.:

That’s what you told Chuck.

Baker Bloch:

You mean Charlie? He was asking about the image from the most recent 2 collages, which form a diptych. That image is you. I told him the giant woman in the image, which is you, is God I think, but said I wasn’t totally sure about that. He seemed to like the joke. Joke?

Carr.:

Joke (laughs).

—–

Baker Bloch:

I’m back.

Carr.:

I blinked and you were gone. Now you’re here. I have to get use to that.

Baker Bloch:

You are smaller than you’ve ever been before, Carrcassonnee.

Carr.:

Call me The Master.

Baker Bloch:

I’m not going to do that.

Carr.:

Then call me YANA. Heck, just call me Carr. Like a little, spidery one you drive around Bath in. In the future.

Baker Bloch:

Thanks! How’s Spider doing, by the way?

Carr:

Spouting out the same 4 numbers in different ordering. Maybe I should trade him in for a newer model.

Baker Bloch:

I hear Redd Foxx is in town. But it turns out to be the red fox in one of baker b.’s collages, the one that turned her back on Spider.

Carr:

She hasn’t gotten over it yet. Poor Spider. Had to go over to the next collage down and speak to lowly Dingo. Dumb Dumb Dingo. Dumbgo.

Baker Bloch:

Is there really that contrast?

Carr:

Yes. Spider is my baby. Mothers are protective. Mothers must keep their babies from being influenced by Dumb Dumbs.

Baker Bloch:

You don’t sound much like a God.

Carr (quickly):

Good!

Baker Bloch:

Back to TILE — so it’s in this film, The Master, and Greenwood did the score.

Carr:

What was it?

Baker Bloch:

What was what?

Carr:

The Score.

Baker Bloch:

That’s the film score.

Carr:

Oh, I thought you meant sports score. Karoz is infatuated with sports, you know. Wants to build the whole school around sports, not teaching per se. But that tiled into his TIE as well.

Baker Bloch:

As I recall baker b. saying, The Master, in an older version of you…

Carr:

Yes.

Baker Bloch (continuing):

The Master is one who gets entangled in TILE, as his ego and charisma and following grow. Kind of like L. Ron Hubbard again. The Master was one of Karoz’s teachers, and the reason he went to Crabwoo University in the first place.

Carr:

Uumm.

Baker Bloch:

He created the TILE pyramid on the southern shores of the Blue Feather Sea, much like The Master of Anderson’s film is seen in a cathedral-like building at the end, when he and Freddie make their final split.

Carr:

I am telling you this because another one of me is coming up, and you can’t rest on your laurels. I am small now, in this cubby hole at the end of your aisle in your church. But I will grow larger again as I get hungrier. Remember how large I was over in Collagesity, just before eating the 11th. I get hungry — I grow larger.

Baker Bloch:

Opposite of what you’d think. You shrink when you eat.

Carr:

Karoz is attempt to start a college, this college, based on a religion that is TIE. Yippie tile one on. You have recently ranted about religion and Islam, Judaism, and Christianity being 3 aspects of 1… *thing*. This thing is TILE. TIE, I mean.

Baker Bloch (correcting):

I think you do mean TILE, actually.

Carr:

Am I backwards as usual? I am backwards. Yes?

Baker Bloch:

Maybe Carr. Specifically in that instance you were. The religion Karoz wishes to spread is called TILE. Not TIE. You left out the L, see.

Carr:

Where did I put it?

Baker Bloch:

I’m not sure it’s been put anywhere, Carr.

Carr:

Then we must drive my little car to find it. Where’s Spider?

Baker Bloch (pointing to his left):

Right over there. Spouting out his numbers, as usual.

Carr:

Do you mind riding in the backwards?

Baker Bloch:

Um, back you mean? Spider is a dog, not a car… Carr.

Carr:

Spider is a Litt Carr. Little car. Like used for driving around baths.

Baker Bloch:

I’m thinking we should end.

Carr:

Then we’re not going to take a trip?

Baker Bloch:

I don’t think so. Do you want to talk [more?] about the 2 most recent collages?

Carr:

Hurla Dontbee will help you more with those. I handle the more God-ly stuff. Asking the big questions. Like, what times are it?

Baker Bloch:

Yes, a good one to be asking.

Carr:

Yes.

Baker Bloch:

Then I will take my leave. Goodbye and thanks a lot Carr. And goodbye to you little Spider. I hope you 2 have a great day.

Carr:

Thank you. And the same to you my fiend. On your way out send the next worshipper in. A man named Freddie I believe. We are trying to help him. Little Carr, my Spider, has doubts. I believe this may be where we part ways but we’re not at the end of the film yet.

Baker Bloch (surprised to see Freddie’s head stick inside the door at the far end of the church):

Oh. He really is here (!?). Yes, I’ll be glad to tell him this. Thank you again.

SPSC Thoughts

Updates on collages. My latest thoughts on the latest batch of collages I’ve been producing in the last week are that they are a more minor collection, a satellite complement to Falmouth at best, and, virtually angling, “merely” a way to decorate the main building of Sam Parr State College (administration bldg./library/gallery). No really in-depth look at the collages is needed, minus the interpretation of the most complex one perhaps, samparr01 — “2130!” I might call it. Here’s that one in case you don’t know what I’m talking about, loyal reader or readers.

Snapshot1284_007v

Here’s 2 possibilities for the base of more Sam Parr collages:

Snapshot1284_005

… esp. this one, perhaps…

Snapshot1286_005

To remind again, this “2130 Gallery” (slightly later changed to “2130? Gallery” and then just “? Gallery” to end), was essentially replaced in its function by the Sam Parr building, which gained a title just as this structure was derezzed from the college. And also to remind, the former 2130 Gallery structure is a duplicate of one in Collagesity proper, housing the Kollage Kid exhibit starting in early July sometime. Stairs Gallery is the name in that case. Should the Stairs Gallery simply be moved to the college?

—–

Looking back through recent blog posts, I was reminded that this particular post, dated August 4th, mentions racial tension in combination with actor Redd Fox 5 days *before* the Ferguson shooting. Redd Foxx in his most famous role as Fred Sanford of “Sanford and Son”, originally hails from St. Louis. Redfox, Kentucky on the portrayed map lies on a Blackey topographic map, and also several miles west of the old Whitesburg Municipal Airport. The bigoted, cantankerous Sanford character regularly calls Caucasian people “honkys” or “whiteys”, always getting a laugh from the audience as a result.

—–

“The enrollment of Sam Parr State Park College is currently 6 or 7, depending on whether the original African American student decides to join us this year. And I, of course, am part Moss myself. But don’t call me Mossy, please.”

“We won’t Karoz,” Story Room promises in unison, once more. They always speak in total or near total synchronicity. Strange.

“Start calling him President Blogger in front of the students,” Patty Pepper Mint urges.

“We’re not Caucasian either,” Story Room speaks. “Actually,” suggests the yeller feller Chuck separate from the rest this time, “we don’t really know what color of skin we have underneath these outfits.” “Outfits?” exclaim the other 2. They are in unison still; Chuck is out-of-sync.

Sam Parr update

Snapshot2007_002

There no longer is a gallery “2130” or “2130?” next to the house with the same number in Collagesity. Instead, the still developing *Sam Parr* collages are now housed in this structure…

Snapshot2007_001

… which is probably the Administration Building of Sam Parr State College but which also acts as the campus’ library and gallery.

So it’s definitely not Falmouth College or Fal Mouth College now. That’s in the past. Sam Parr still owns the place. Karoz Blogger remains its president, although I think his office is over in House Orange through the tunnel, in “Old Collagesity”. I have over 250 prims to play around with, so we’ll see what happens next. I like to keep about 220 in reserve, however.

All kinds…

… of interesting things happening in Collagesity these days, Hucka. Sam Parr as the new owner of the old Fal Mouth College is just the most recent.

Hucka D.:

We should save an interpretation of Sam Parr 01 for another night, however. See what happens next with that name.

bb:

Can you tell me about this entrepreneur? He’s apparently from Illinois.

Hucka D.:

He’s a patron of the arts. I can’t say much more now. Perhaps androgynous. Or at least has a wife who is united with him in spirit.

bb:

Interesting. And he bought the whole college.

Hucka D.:

He was interested in the direction Karoz was taking it. Karoz Blogger will remain as president.

bb:

But maybe they can focus on academics rather than sports.

Hucka D.:

Eeehhh.

bb:

I believe Sam Parr is physically going to show up in Collagesity soon.

Hucka D.:

Your choice.
