00500206 (STOP/GO)

—–

Only when planetary traveler Gemilly Niceniece looked at the video afterwards did she see the A on the rock directly below her right where she decided to stop and pan around…

… which seemingly turned into a P on the other side of it. “AP!” I called aloud when seeing the transformation from my own angle, remembering the joined letters from the day before. “What was it? The Annie Oakley case?”

“Orkley Andy,” spoke someone to the side listening in, probably W aka Wheeler, the female half of our duality with a better memory, we can imagine. “Biff Carter’s case,” she clarified more for the reader than the writer. “But connected to Oakley… Annie. Together, they make–”

“–a complete A-Z time loop,” I completed, so excited I was that I forgot who was speaking in the moment. Freed up, W/Wheeler started checking her phone. Then:

“38-AP to be precise it says here, with, hmm, 37-QZ being the Oakley Annie one… *before it*. Names reversed, letters reversed. Let’s see — caused Biff to become prematurely retired and then quickly retired again when he tried to make a comeback.”

“In-ter-est-ing.”

And exactly between 00320206 and 005002006 here, we found out just later, is 00410206, where we find Biff yet again. Titled “(Biff)” even.

Passengers finally unload at Bellisaria’s Shobu station at the end of the straight as an arrow tracks in the shadow of towering Mt. Sakuru, let’s keep calling it. Father Fecked’s cane appears first out of the train, calm now after all that shaking from the last 5-7 minutes was over. Should’ve pinpointed this all important location before, but better late than never I suppose. The SYSTEM speaks, I understand. Egging me forward. Just like before; just like always. TBC(!)

Turns out Frank’s visit to Rodentia was a red herring with Blue Moon and him arriving at an empty parcel after walking from the King’s Head instead of the expected, run down house with a death bed and observing chairs. So that the *actual* Mouse, reduced to a cane, could make his point. Frank missed him coming around the corner toward Petty’s detective agency by about 30 seconds (let’s set it) while standing outside Daisy’s Hole in the Wall bar. Close, The Powers that Be think. A little too close.

“Here!” he says gruffly, as is his style, cane indicating the final destination with the right hand while perpetually refreshed Jim Beamed bottle still firmly grasped by the left.

“You sure?” said traveling companion Plastiman behind him outside the queer, small building that seems so out of place in the otherwise concrete environment. They didn’t grasp that it was a developing mini-mall with several other businesses besides this one. They hadn’t rounded the corner yet, come across Frank’s phone spot and then Daisy’s bar just beyond. Nor Ray’s Pizza across from the bar. And I should mention, they lost Pigg and Bully somewhere on their journey across several Bellisaria continents/sub-continents and down the spine of Jeogeot to here. But I don’t believe they’ve even noticed, the two were so irrelevant to our overall story in this here photo-novel 49. Swiftly coming to an end (!). So let’s get to it…

They were on a bridge in roughly the center of Bellisaria in roughly the center of Our Second Lyfe, Fecked’s come-alive cane still pointing forwards, egging them on.

At the top they cross a line between two of its continents/sub-continents, their 3rd such transition if I’m counting correctly…

… all except Poor Jesus Christ, who unfortunately fell off the bridge and into the water far below and drowned after wandering off course, since he’d lost the power to walk on or even swim in water because of the whole nailed to the cross situation.

Plastiman only thought afterwards about extending a long elastic arm down to him as a lifesaver. He’d live with that guilt not for the rest of his life but at least for several more days before further adventures preoccupied his thoughts again. Pigg and Bully were still just add-ons, not having any opinions one way or another on, well, anything. Maybe that should change. I manifest downward.

“Mr. Pigg, what do you think of the current economic downturn? Mr. Bully what about you?” No answer from each. We’ll work on it. TBC

… in Bellisaria on one of the numerous continents — sub-continents some call them but nevermind that now — Father Fecked’s cane came alive and started to shake violently. When it finally settled down after about 7-10 minutes, it seemed to firmly point somewhere ahead now instead of being useful as a walking aid, with the suddenly non-lame Father having no other choice but to follow. Jesus and the rest of his manifested gang — Plastiman, Pigg, Bully — tagged along too (see tags). TBC

I had circled back to the Newbank sim on the Newbrooke continent of the Bellisaria series of continents now dominating the “center” of the Our Second Lyfe worldscape, determined to make more of the experience. Plastic Man — I had that much. Friends Pig, Bully, Father and Son — they’re still around too. But Plastic Man quickly turns (again) into elastic armed Peter Oesso impossibly reaching through a window to an espresso machine 12 feet from him and procuring himself a drink. We’re at the gallery just north of Newbank now, with a corresponding increase in realism. As a newborn starts to recognize the world around him and the difference between father and son and mother and daughter, so we have the appearance of 2 brothers here, one 5 years older than the other but still the same age. And, as we’ve also seen, a third brother who is the same age but even 5 years older is involved, his Penn station being the center of virtual Paperville alternately Pageville where we can get Peter Oesso’s friend Bardie some pens and perhaps pencils to write his words down with. And, queerly, Second Life Freeze Dry is only 2 miles south in the Pennsylvania equivalent. Maybe we’ll visit a variant version of that real life business soon too.

Back to the action…

“We love you, baker b.!

“And we want you to come home too!”

“Not for a while, Mother, Father.” And so we, I, continue… The last of my kind.

Besides, these aren’t really my shared little world parents. I saw the unequal love since almost the beginning, one in the air, the other not.

Rock beats Paper because it possesses Scissors, a depravity of what was suppose to be a round and round and round, fair deal situation.

And with the examination and usage of this sculpture menagerie replacing my original one coming from Newbank/Newbrooke, I think I might be done with the Bellisaria series of continents as a whole for a while, however which way you spell it. Other places to examine. Like Paperville.

Peter Oesso, clothes back on and red rose dreams finally ended, sits at a table drinking espresso to match the returned t-shirt, waiting on…

She remembered.

I could live with that, she thought while watching the man continue his yoga exercises from her 2d, painterly existence. Peter Oesso we can assume, although it’s hard to tell without the tell-tale t-shirt. It was only fair. As he paints them they should be able to paint him *back* and tell him what they feel as well.

We’re in another Bellisaria continent gallery, unregistered just like for the first we saw Peter in toward the beginning of this here section 02 of this here novel 49, painting away at his own interestingly textured/colored/lighted passion. Strange how these keep popping up for me. Not trying to find them — just do.

Now let’s get to the surprising menagerie lined up outside against its back wall. Perhaps a replacement for *my* menagerie coming over from nearby Newbank. Or just a way to move on from Bellisaria into something else after review. As usual, we’ll see soon enough as one post progresses to the next. (TBC)

Still protected by a single, large red rose in a moderately rated sim — good enough — I peer around at my surroundings, note a train car in the distance down the straight as an arrow tracks in this location with my 168 meter draw distance. That must be it, I reckoned.

Yes, passengers ready to unload, let’s say, at the Shobu station in the shadow of towering, er, Mt. Sakura I guess this is. Who is it who is it who is it? Post for another day.

“All the homes have just appeared, see?” he indicates with his pointing cane. Excited he was. Another center. “This *must* be where we head next, explore the neighborhoods if not explore the mtn. itself. Because I understand there’s really nothing on it.”

“No, Mouse. It’s as if… well, I won’t go as far to say that Our Second Lyfe is *dying* or anything. Just changing — in perspective. Outpaced by other virtual realities. And the *cracks* are starting to show. Can we right this thing?”

“One way to find out,” Mouse logically answers. And so the Bellisaria* team already established over on the Newbrooke continent (Newbank sim) in the background behind the white mtn. continent here will be sent over to investigate and interact. Unless I decide to create a whole new team, or a mix of new and old. I’ve reviewed all the available avatars found on the SL Marketplace for under 50 linden dollars (about 25 cents) in the last several days, filled in the gaps of what I had before as I deemed fit and worthy. A lot now! Over 1500 unique characters created for this blog and attached photo-novels, 48 in number and apparently still growing. And probably 80 percent of these from Our Second Lyfe sources. Not dead. But just because of the creators past and present. The platform remains a viable sandbox option for cutting edge development, if not technologically then psychologically still, at least for those who know how to navigate its complex ins and outs and also don’t mind dealing with a little bit of lag at times. So creators: keep it up. I don’t think the game can be “fixed” and I’m not really sure it needs to be. Just allow it, master Lindens, to keep on keeping on, tweaking as we go along but no major overhaul. It is what it is at this point for the most part. With these lemons we can still make lemonade and that’s all that might matter.

*I know this is spelt wrong, ha.
