Bigfoot Notes

Components of toy happenings so far…

1) Found regional objects (“junk”).

For Billfork (Spring 2012) and Lion’s Roar (Fall 2012) this came from sites of torn down houses and structures in Herman Park each. For Bigfoot, outside the protection of Frank and Herman Parks, the objects were found at the Plateau of Raw Art (site of old high school). Ruins are a key link. The smaller art event called Falmouth (Spring 2013) also contained some junk objects, most of which were old bottles. Same story there: came from nearby site of old house. Billfork and Lion’s Roar had a lot of bottles as well. Then there’s the basically unpotentialized Whitehead Crossing with its 55 or so bottles laying around in a pile.

And *then* there’s Rust Spot with its cache of metal stuff. 😮

2) Marble Race Track

The first marble race tracks of happenings set up in Billfork and Lion’s Roar were linear, with the end separate and unrelated, let’s say, from the beginning. For Bigfoot, end loops back into beginning potentially, or they are directly up and down from each other at least. This mimics the idea of Opus 19, where the bottom of the track is directly below the top. If you had some kind of pulley system, the race could potentially be made perpetual.

The marble race in Bigfoot was somewhat bigger than in Billfork and Lion’s Roar as well. All use 0-27 gauge model railroad track, of which I have probably 70-80 pieces by now.

3) Toy avatars

Billfork had no toy avatars except for the marbles (which count, despite the opinions of the Mmmmmmm’s). Lion’s Roar contained a couple, or at least I especially remember order barking Sue. The Sharieland art event (Fall 2013) excels here, with a good number of toy avatars involved in building and maintaining a central road through the rocks and sand of Erath on Earth Creek at Heart Lake. Sharieland is also where Billy J. Thornberry made his first appearance in a toy happening in the role of Lazy Sideburns Man, famously destroyed by Hater the Cow there. Of course he later reappears in Bigfoot as iron smelter Taum Sauk and also, briefly, as LSB’s twin brother Daisy at Whitehead Crossing, deemed The Leader (Spring 2014: 1 2).

Toy avatars appear quite early in my blogging experiences, way back in 2008 at TILE Creek, which can count as the first toy avatar happening. But there it was pure toys, with no junk and marble track (except for a couple of rustmobiles, i.e. old tin cans). I suppose we can call it the Jonesborough Happening. Nothing really has gone on there since then.

I keep stockpiling toys, which can be found very cheaply at flea markets and such.

You have to have a right combination of the above 3 to make a true art happening in my opinion. And that’s what occurred at Bigfoot.

Heman Park: Hermania & Billfork 03

Then we come to a Billfork revisit. To remind the reader, Billfork was the site of an important art happening or toy avatar event about 2 years ago. Nothing’s really happened there in the intervening time, but today I decided to import an interesting looking rock from the area above Billfork where I got the bottles and other objects for the aforementioned event. I also have a pot full of bricks and several other objects ready to go to Billfork from the same place when I get back there. Soon!

And as the case with Hermania, Billfork has changed a bit. I simply do not remember all these exposed bricks pictured below before. Will look really good in Billfork, I believe. New event!

The pots appeared different from before, and also arranged in unremembered ways…

Herman’s mansion approach-eth.

This day I also ended up visiting Billfork about a mile from the mansion as the fly crows once more. Below is Billfork’s “Beehive”, now split in 2.

A white quartz topped rock that got my attention while hiking a small stream to the east of Heart Lake. I believe this to be a placed sign as well, although of a psychic or non-terrestrial or at least non-human kind.

The rock (bottom of below photo) rests gently upon a curved limb several yards long. The rock is not rooted firmly in the ground here, meaning that the limb might have come first and then the rock slid against it, illogically enough. On the limb near the rock are interesting “symbols”. The one that struck me first is a “4” atop a part of the limb closest to the rock. I also thought this “4” might stand for the astrological symbol of the planet Jupiter. You can see this clearly in the below overhead photo, just above the rock.

Is the rock suppose to represent the planet Jupiter itself? Note that the white rock could be said to have a high albedo, just like this planet as it appears in our skies. Jupiter has the second highest albedo among the Sun’s planets, with only Venus reflecting more sunlight.

Near this is what could be an artistic rendering of some kind of face. Is it a Jupiton??

Facing the opposite way from the bigger 4 on the limb is a smaller 4 and then what appears to be a dash and the number “20”, seeming to create the glyph “4-20”. Is this the date April 20th? Does it have something to do with the number 20 and the planet Jupiter instead?

Check out this exact conjunction of events in the April 20th wikipedia article (most surface aspect of oddity highlighted):

1939 – Adolf Hitler’s 50th birthday is celebrated as a national holiday in Nazi Germany.
1939 – Billie Holiday records the first Civil Rights song “Strange Fruit”.

Those events, attached to opposite poles of human and civil rights as it were, occurred on the same day.

Rock and limb. The rock is so white that it’s difficult to not take a washed out picture of it beyond a certain distance.

Jupiter (and *4* major moons) in telescope.*

This is the glade the white rock and limb are found in. I do not yet have a name for the stream that flows through this area. We’re about maybe a football field’s length away from Heart Lake here — quite close.

As I’m writing and pondering the text for this post, I believe I may have come up with a kind of surface interpretation of all this. The rock *is* Jupiter, as it appears in *Galileo’s* telescope, where he first learned of its *4* moons. So the symbol “4” on the limb next to the rock can stand for both Jupiter (astrological symbol in the shape of a “4”) as a white circle/planet, as well as its 4 moons. It follows that the limb itself, although curved, is suppose to represent the telescope Galileo first saw Jupiter’s moons (as well as Saturn’s rings, sunspots, and the crescent of Venus). The “4” is on the limb, meaning Galileo saw these things *in* his telescope. Straighten out the easy curvature of this pine tree limb and it could take on the appearance of the scientist’s telescope from afar.

What of the “4-20”? Galileo’s telescope he used to first spy Jupiter’s moons was said to have a power of 30, so that doesn’t quite fit. Could refer to the famous “4 score and 7 years ago…” speech by Lincoln, since 20 is a score of years. This might go along with the holiday/Holiday double reference of April 20th concerning civil rights. I’ll thus leave that second, smaller “4” and accompanying 20 alone for now, and deal with something else that was pointed out to me through the quote at the bottom of this particular post. In the time Galileo saw all these things in his telescope, Earth was considered the *heart* of the Universe, which all else revolved around. Galileo’s finds helped (according to that article I quote) the furthering of a sun-centered Universe instead, an idea Galileo was famous for championing, and a public belief that eventually led to an arrest that restricted him to his house for the last portion of his life.

Does Heart Lake, then, represent The Sun that Galileo rightly believed usurps The Earth as the center or heart of our local system? Stuff of further thinking for sure.

From any telescope on Earth, a view of Jupiter and its four main moons are possible. Galileo Galilei, an Italian Astronomer, discovered the four moons of Jupiter in 1609 (along with the phases of Venus) using a new invention called a telescope.

The discovery of the phases of Venus and the orbits of the four moons of Jupiter helped to add evidence of the Sun-centered Universe (heliocentric). For the longest time, scientists believed the Earth was at the heart of the Universe. We now know that we reside on the edge of an “average” spiral galaxy among a population of several galaxies that are members of the Universe – there is no center.

As seen from a small telescope on Earth, you may see Jupiter and its four main moons like this:

The four main moons of Jupiter are:

Io
Europa
Ganymede
Callisto

The image above shows, from left to right: Callisto, Ganymede, Europa, and Io. These sizes are accurate to each other. The orbits of the moons are seen below, and all four moons keep one face towards Jupiter – called Tidal Locking (like our Moon is tidal locked to the Earth).

Each of these satellites are different from each other. An example is the interiors:

The interior of Io (upper left) indicates a larger rock core, a mantle and crust. Europa(upper right) demonstrates an icy curst, a liquid ocean, a mantle and a smaller rocky core – possible metallic. Ganymede (lower left) is actually similar to Europa and may also possess a metallic core. Callisto (lower right) may have a core, but very small – the interior is thought to be water mixed with rock.

More details on each moon have been left to their own sections, but much of our knowledge is limited and will require further data analysis and collection.

The first “WIS” map (but not the last?).

“WIS”, pronounced like “wiz” (center center), is the 3rd, hidden element of the triangle whose 2 known points are Health [Lake] (right center) and Wealthy [Mtn.] (top center). We do not even know what kind of element WIS is presently. It is a black hole I believe Hucka D. wants to say here. WIS exists in the gap between Herman Park, seen as north in the above map, and Frank Park, south on the map. I am not unconvinced that Whitehead Crossing (SW of WIS) won’t be the main station for these parks in future times, as I move more out in the woods at retirement (8 years if all goes well; *I* will be the Whitehead in the Woods (!)). WIS is close to Whitehead Crossing but not the same. WIS is close to Wealthy Mtn. but not the same. Close to Health Lake but… not the same. It is in a gap in a map which does not logically make sense topographically but does psychologically. It is a hole that everything folds around, like flower petals.

All I can do is move from Frank/Herman Park focus to Frank/Herman Park focus. A new focus is Falmouth Creek (lower right corner of map). I’ve now determined that the original village on this creek was called Old Baker Settlement. I have a rough picture for now; it exists in the basic center of Falmouth Creek, about equidistant from both source and mouth. Old Baker Settlement, or what remains of it (ruins) is white-ish rocks in a moss bank below a clump of trees.

We’ll get to more of the story behind Old Baker Settlement (OBS) shortly. Hopefully I’ll be able to take more pictures of Falmouth this weekend, despite the continued cold weather, PHEH. On the bright side, I’m definitely going to England once more. I had a panic attack in the middle of the night, and started thinking negatively about the trip. Now I’ve turned around again. Analysis of Falmouth collages is helping. Falmouth is centering — in Avebury. Might Avebury have something to do with Old Baker Settlement?

Falmouth, Indiana which lies on the line between Rush County (west) and Fayette County (east) was originally called Old Baker Settlement. That’s obviously where I got the name. The synchronicity to this, ‘coz there’s always synchronicities when it comes to Frank and Herman Park names it seems, is that the ridge separating Falmouth and Second Life Pond (named later) acts as a peculiarly extended *block* between more public land around that pond and Falmouth Creek, essentially and effectively isolating the creek while allowing it to be quite proximate to tourist attractions in Frank Park, Second Life Pond basically. So I decided to name this ridge Block Ridge, then remembering Old Baker Settlement as an original name for a US Falmouth, decided to change this to Bloch Ridge, after my main Second Life avatar Baker Bloch. Second Life Pond, lying on the other side of this ridge from Falmouth Creek, is named immediately after this, then. Second Life Pond is the origin place for not only Baker Bloch but also Baker Blinker, who was my original, dominant Second Life avatar during my first half year or so of involvement in that virtual reality. When I moved to mainland SL from Azure Islands in Fall 2008, Bloch, the male, took over as the dominant one. The story of my avatars is found in the Where Are We On That art exhibit I still have up in my flickr site. Accompanying the first two stories about Baker Blinker and Baker Bloch in that exhibit is a 3rd story about Hucka Doobie, in case you’ve ever wondered about *his* origins (this is the same as Hucka D.), and then Esbum Michigan and Wilsonia Foxclaw, my final two avatars I was using at the time. After the exhibit was created, I made 2 more Second Life avatars: Karoz Blogger (formed right after the exhibit) and, about a year later, my last one called Bracket Jupiter.

I heard my name and woke up. Howdy baker b. Heard you talked to Headburro Antfarm for the first time in a long time.

bb:

Yes. I just asked him if there’s a virtual reality out there to rival Second Life yet, at least as far as making pictures and galleries go. He suggested Minecraft, but I’m not sure it is a rival yet to SL, or will be in the future. The best hope is to attach something directly to a web browser, with a first person viewpoint and simply getting rid of the avatar.

Hucka D.:

But that wouldn’t be any fun.

bb:

Maybe not for me, but it would make things easier for people to see your work.

Hucka D.:

Oh you can’t do that. You have to have Second Life. What about the Pietmonds??

bb:

Yeah. Not sure. But back to Falmouth, if you want to talk about them. Second Life Pond, a logical name for reasons I can’t go into here involving the *actual* name of the pond. Another virtual reality.

Hucka D.:

Maybe that should be your new virtual reality. Is it still around?

bb:

Check the link I just made with your last sentence.

Hucka D.:

I’ll check it later. It was just a rhetorical question anyway. Second Life began in that pond in Frank and Herman Parks. Bloch Ridge blocked Baker Blinker from proceeding over the hill to Falmouth. Only Baker Bloch exists in the attached collage series[ Falmouth 02 and Falmouth 04]. Falmouth 01 02 03 04 is Old Baker Settlement. So, yeah, it *is* the same as Avebury, if you will. Falmouth is Avebury.

There’s Lean Rock in the creek just below OBS.

There was the mysterious writing “Fi” in a rhododendron leaf at OBS as well.

Hucka D. (guessing):

Hifi. Or High Five.

bb:

This is a picture of a cascade on a creek just north of Falmouth, just over another ridge, or I gues it is an extension of the same ridge [Bloch Ridge]. This creek lies between Falmouth and Gnirps.

Hucka D.:

That’s a pretty cascade. A popular vacation spot for toy avatars, much like Gnirps nearby. They stay away from Second Life Pond and Second Life Creek, however, because of the humans. Humans and toy avatars as yet do not mix.

bb:

I can imagine. So there are toy avatars at Falmouth?

Hucka D.:

Oh yes. Mouse and Shark. Bart and Lisa. Baker Bloch and Baker Bloch. Red Lion man/woman and Man/Woman. Hand. Non-President R. Booger Hayes. Sunfish. Patrick Star and his friends. Lots of toy avatars.

bb:

So it’s the same as the characters in the Falmouth collage series. The 2 Baker Blochs which are actually different Baker Blochs, for example.

Hucka D.:

Yes. Non-President Booger Hayes wants to speak with us again soon. He has some ideas about Falmouth.

bb:

What of the other parts of Falmouth presently? — Visible I., Stream’s End, the unnamed spring which contains the mossy bank with *no* rocks, unlike OBS.

Hucka D.:

That’s a black hole. And the spring is a black hole. Rush.

bb:

How about X-Ray. Or Ray-dium, the follow-up?

Heart O’ Herman Park

Since I’ve gotten around to writing the text for this post, the appellations for the lakes pictured below have changed. Head Lake in the map has “reverted” back to Heart Lake, and the actual Head Lake appears to instead be the larger body of water at the bottom of the map, here called Heart Lake. So the two names have been reversed in the meantime. Drink Lake, to the left, will probably be still known as this in future posts, although it is understood that behind-the-scenes planning had it at some point as Hand or Hands Lake. Instead, at some stage in the development, the “Hands” part was moved to the opposite side of the stream in effect, or made the *source* of the stream, hence Hand Spring, which begins with “hands” as well (upper center of map). The implications for this move are quite enormous for the Frank Herman Einstein blog.

And now Bass Ackwards Lake (map’s left) is now called or implied to be Health Lake, completing the 4H analogy. And all this is now directly assoc. with the state of Arkansas through its own, strong 4H resonance, including containing the only US Heath and Heart population centers. Health Lake also could be different from the other 3 named Herman Park lakes in that it might be spinning in an opposite direction from the others, whatever that means. One clue to this is the removal of “Wright” from old 3 leaf clover emblems of the 4H club when a 4th “H” is added, which might mean that the one *left*, the 4th (Health), is spinning in the opposite direction (or opposite of (W)right). But what is this spinning if so? Could it be the direction of time itself?
