Baker Blinker Blog Book II: Pre-Jeogeot II 07b (Apr/May 2009 02 of 02)

“Where Are We On That?” Floor 1: Baker Blinker

Baker Blinker 01

Baker Blinker was first photographed for the Baker Blinker Blog in Feb 08 in the Kerchal Forest of the Sansara continent. A planned link between SL and RL was being enacted there, namely between the forest itself and a place called Henry or Baker’s Island off the coast of Cape Breton in Canada.

Baker Blinker 02

Unfortunately in the process, the youngish Ms. Blinker, then only about 1 month old in SL terms, became ensnared by a powerful entity known as Shakenstein, most likely a warped Baker Blinker from a future probable reality. Long story short, the SL-RL link occurred, but at a huge price: time became mixed up, allowing Shakenstein to take over and fuse with Baker Blinker’s body and soul.

Baker Blinker 03

Only after counterpart Baker Bloch was born, resolved his own karma with an “Ancient” (see floor above), and discovered the Okinu glyphs, was Baker Blinker able to free herself from the evil clutches of the Ancients. She did this by expelling the harmful “Moon viruses” infecting her onto the healing glyphs. But traces of the symbiosis would remain — to name one obvious effect, Ms. Blinker would always retain the same white and pink colors as Shakenstein, and even combined in the exact same proportions relative to their respective surfaces. As I said, we have every belief that Shakenstein is a future Baker Blinker, and has locked her onto a particular aberrant course in order to control her destiny. We, as a family, are still working on the problem.

Baker Blinker 04

But Blinks, as we affectionately call her at times, grew use to this curse, and after the move to Azure Islands in April 08, even grew comfortable enough to include a replica of Shakenstein in her first house, calling it her lapdog.

Baker Blinker 05

Baker Blinker changed her appearance only once during her now well over 1 year existence in SL, increasing the length of her formerly cropped hair and doing some other relatively minor cosmetic alterations (such as making her eyes a bit less bulgy). Her hopes were to make herself more appealing to Baker Bloch, who she thought at the time would become a future love muffin.

Baker Blinker 06

Baker Blinker and Baker Bloch only met one time in SL, but it was a significant event for both, especially Ms. Blinker. The cottage they chose to initially meet was unfortunately bewitched — another curse! — causing the two counterparts to fall for each other.

Later The Bakers would understand they are actually two aspects of one user (baker b.), and thus closer than twins. A physical relationship was deemed unnecessary, since they would always be inwardly united.

Baker Blinker 07

After Baker Bloch and Hucka Doobie forged a more successful SL-RL link (see floors above), Baker Blinker was left alone in SL for a spell. She made the best of it, preparing what she hoped would be a small, underwater gallery for Baker Bloch’s art (“Just Call Me Ernie Banks”) that he was beginning to churn out through the effects of this link. This would be in a deep trench in the Cub sim, a 20 meter long, 3 meter wide, quite illegal build that has long since been derezzed. But it still represents the initial gallery of the Baker family that other, future and legal galleries built upon.

Baker Blinker 08

Baker Blinker is the only member of the family to contact their user, baker b., as recorded in this July 08 snapshot from Azure Islands. Here baker b. is mumbling to her something about a mashup called SID’s 1st Oz; frankly she wasn’t that impressed.

Baker Blinker 09

Although Baker Blinker’s role became more subsidiary to Baker Bloch’s after the family move to the Rubi sim on the Atoll continent in Aug 08, she still made some major contributions. An example would be the discovery of this hidden map inside the central Tyle Cube of the Temple of TILE. From it, the family was able to determine that the temple was suppose to reside in the Rubi sim, at least for several months, and that the move back to the mainland from Azure Islands was predestined.

“Holly Blue Holly Blue Holly Blue”

The 9th collage of the Hidalgo series from March-April 08 depicts an idealized self envisioned by Baker Blinker and manifesting, angel-like, before a despondent Baker Bloch still trapped inside RL.

“Where Are We On That?” Floor 2: Baker Bloch

Baker Bloch 01

Baker Bloch first showed up in SL immediately after Baker Blinker was absorbed into Shakenstein (see floor below). As briefly discussed before, Blochs, as we sometimes call him, came into this world with his own built-in problems with an Ancient, the sinister seeming Mr. Low who lived at the bottom of the Solomon Sea. At the time Baker Bloch, appropriately, mostly resided in the Baker sim, in particular on an isle in its sw corner (Isle of Baker). We look though its native vegetation here at the newborn Blochs.

Baker Bloch 02

Baker Bloch understood that he initially came here to perform certain tasks for Mr. Low, which fortunately turned out to be only 1 single task: the creation of this small graveyard near but not in the Solomon Sea. Blochs understood the gravestones represented some kind of fallen, compatriot Ancients; what he didn’t know was that the chair he is sitting on here represents the 4th headstone: that of Mr. Low himself! (see picture outside door).

Baker Bloch 03

Having completed his shorter-than-expected period of servitude, Baker Bloch was now free to roam and explore the waterscapes he had quickly grown fond of. Here he is hovering directly in front of the underwater Hilo Peak, the most sacred peak of the Ancients. Directly behind it in this snapshot is the considerably larger summit they called The Abomination, which, in contrast, represented their most hated peak. To the Ancients, The Abomination stood for the Linden ruled SL grid that would replace what they considered their own, much better one.

Baker Bloch 04

With the direct help of Hucka Doobie (see floor above), Baker Bloch was able to successfully transition between SL and RL in March 08 at Uli, one of the Volcanic Island Sims. A buzzing shape descended from the sky, quickly forming as a shoehorn around him. The shoehorn narrowed and narrowed and narrowed, until…

Baker Bloch 05

… Cinderella-like, Baker Bloch found that it became small enough to snugly fit around his left foot. Once this happened, the shoehorn dissolved, and he was no longer in SL but RL, atop a North Carolina mountain that, confusingly enough, is called Hilo Peak Mtn. in the Baker Blinker Blog. We now know this mountain is actually called Long Hope.

Baker Bloch 06

Like Baker Blinker, Baker Bloch only changed his appearance once during his SL existence. This was in Nov 09 at the Temple of TILE, when he decided to remove his mask, thereby disassociating himself more from his father.

Baker Bloch 07

Speak of which, although Blochs, unlike Blinks, never directly contacted their common user baker b., he was able to peek into RL in one instance through a time/space portal at Ross Falls, and see his real father looking back at him from just above the computer screen. Quite a moving experience.

Baker Bloch 08

Baker Bloch, ever since his beginnings, was nuts about exploring SL, and perhaps his best known travelogue comes from some of the earliest forays into the just risen Nautilus City island in Oct 08. Here he happens upon a remarkable treasure trove off a secondary island, protected by some kind of force field.

Baker Bloch 09

But as time progressed, Blochs took over more responsibility from Baker Blinker and Hucka Doobie on the building and decorating end as well, including this nicely designed interior in the Tyta house next to the Rubi Forest.

Baker Bloch 10

Baker also took on larger roles with each of the many revisions of the Temple of TILE itself, including this last version, with pipes, in Rubi before the move to Otherland in Jan 09. Baker Bloch is now the sole owner of the latest, mainland versions of both the Temple of TILE and the Edwardston Station Gallery, as well as “Something to CHRO About” itself.

“/After”

Another collage from the March-April 08 Hidalgo series, this time the 5th in the series called “/After”. Baker is in the same inactive position as he is in Baker Bloch 05 of this particular collection. The rock he is standing on here represents Long Hope Mountain itself, and the waterfall below him is taken from this RL mountain as well.

Please visit Floor 5 of the Edwardston Station Gallery just across the road (accessible through the teleporter near the front door of the CHRO gallery) to see the rest of the Hidalgo series, as well as other series of baker b.’s 100 collage “art 10×10″ effort.

“Where Are We On That?” Floor 3: Hucka Doobie

Hucka Doobie 01

Hucka Doobie first showed up in his true, bee form in the Baker Blinker Blog in March 08, when he appeared to Baker Bloch atop RL Long Hope Mtn. At that time Hucka Doobie revealed to Blochs that he was the one who caused the Uli droning, and also manifested the shrinking shoe horn that translated him from SL to RL in that sim.

Hucka Doobie 02

Baker Bloch and Hucka Doobie subsequently watched the formation of the lemon shaped laboratory called Lemon World, an event that was happening simultaneously in the then present (2008), as well as in 2001. The 2001 version of this world/lab can be said to have formed at basically the same time as Linden World, the direct (alpha) precursor to (beta) Second Life. Droop, droop, drop!

Hucka Doobie 03

An even more mysterious thing happened, then: after the Baker Family’s move to Azure Islands in April, Hucka Doobie allowed the soul of the recently deceased New Mexico surrealist artist Charles Nelson Blinkerton to enter and possess his bee avatar. This snapshot shows the bee body in a hybrid form during this transition, with a strangely shrunk Mysti’s Big Blue House attached to it.

Hucka Doobie 04

The Bakers then built the Blinkerton possessed Hucka Doobie a room in the basement of the new house, accepting him into their family. As Baker Bloch was out exploring most of the time, Hucka Doobie often remained alone with homebody Baker Blinker. Hucka, of course, liked Blinks, but desired the manly bonding that could only come from Blochs within the family.

Hucka Doobie 05

Hucka Doobie never once changed his appearance while in the bee body. However, he strongly desired to have a particular set of new eyeballs to replace what he considered his quite goofy, default ones. And from a particular object: a Starax goldfish. In fact, the search for such a fish would start his own SL journey separate from the other Bakers on Azure Islands, leading first to the Edwardston related sims (see floor above), and then to Otherland.

Hucka Doobie 06

And it was in Otherland, during July 08, that Hucka Doobie met what he considered his true soulmate at the time, Hurla Dontbee. His usual quip about why he believed this to be so was that she represented a “good ride”. In fact, as you can see from this snapshot, she’s actually a ride: a female bee-shaped springy one. But Hucka actually considered her a real avatar, perhaps, ahem, saddled with an immobility curse.

Much like Baker Blinker and Bake Bloch, though, Hucka Doobie later came to see Hurla Dontbee as an aspect of himself, and not a truly separate soul-entity.

Hucka Doobie 07

It was also in Otherland that Hucka learned he could fly really high, in fact to an unlimited height it seemed. This was in contrast to The Bakers, whose flight range, like most avatars, were capped at about 170 meters above ground.

Hucka Doobie 08

Hucka Doobie built the first and smallest of his several beehives in the Cub sim, directly above the space of the then still corporeal “Just Call Me Ernie Banks” gallery (see Baker Blinker’s collection)

But this was just the beginning, for Hucka soon built the considerably more impressive B_Hivia, whose combination of large space and prim economy frankly shocked both the still naive Baker Blinker and Baker Bloch at the time. Then B_Hivia was followed by what might have been the even more impressive Temple of TILE, also built in the Gliese sim on Azure Islands.

Hucka Doobie 09

Hucka D.’s largest beehive so far would only be constructed a number of months later, after the move of the family to the mainland and then back to Azure Islands a second time (Neith sim this time). The family called it the Ubertemple because of its relatively massive size: essentially it was made up of 6 B_Hivias and 3 Temple of TILEs, creating a 90 meter by 90 meter square on its largest side. The Ubertemple was quickly succeeded by the smaller but more efficient Otherland temple.

After the move away from Otherland in March 09, sole ownership of Hucka Doobie’s beehive designs were turned over to Baker Bloch, who decided to only use the single Temple of TILE beehive module for more portability and flexibility in the family’s post-Otherland wanderings.

“It’s Up To Us Now”

Along with the creation of beehives, undoubtedly Hucka Doobie’s most valuable role has been as a spiritual guide for user baker b. through his Baker Blinker Blog, where the two regularly “chat”.

“It’s Up To Us Now” is the only collage of baker b.’s 10×10 to feature Hucka Doobie. The fact that he’s staring straight out from the picture and pointing at the viewer may also be a symbol of his unique aspect to exteriorize, among family avatars, outside of SL and into RL, and least through the blog.

“Where Are We On That?” Floor 4: Esbum Michigan

Esbum Michigan 01

In July 08, Esbum Michigan, then known just as S-Bum, was born as a 2-dimensional avatar atop a hobo mattress in the recently completed Gliese Temple of TILE.

Esbum Michigan 02

Shaking herself into a 3d shape, she sat at what she called First Chair and stared into the central shaft of the temple w/ its spinning Tyle Cube. She then knew where she was and who she was. A freak.

Esbum Michigan 03

Although Esbum was designed as some kind of in-house caretaker for the Gliese temple, like Baker Bloch before her she quickly outgrew this initial, servitude role and began to explore the SL landscape. She attempted to retrace various family member’s exploration routes, and eventually came to the Edwardston sims, originally discovered and roughly mapped by Hucka Doobie.

Esbum Michigan 04

It was love at first sight. If other members of the family were enamored of avatars of the opposite sex that actually turned out to be soul-aspects of themselves, Esbum could be said to have loved these sims in the same way, especially the central sim of the 3. We can now safely say these sims were part of the Delphic Archipelago, with the central one called Alexandria instead of Edwardston (but for a reason).

Esbum felt that Hucka Doobie did not understand the full worth of these sims, and also determined the location of what she called their geomantic center, a point of great power. She planned to move away from the rest of the family and live underneath and/or around the pictured pond here, hereafter famously known as “Esbum’s Pond”. As we shall see, this plan was destined to be short-lived.

Esbum Michigan 05

Esbum Michigan never changed her appearance, despite the fact of always complaining about the lack of respect she got from others because of it. But she seemed to get younger when in her favorite sims, and especially around her namesake pond, as witnessed, I think, in this snapshot.

Esbum Michigan 06

Specifically, Esbum planned to live in what’s now called the “Missing Piece”, a 6 prim, partially sanitized sewer pipe constructed tube she hid underneath her pond, as recorded in this snapshot. Her desire was to hoist it into the sky after figuring out exactly what to do with it. She later came to the perhaps insane determination that it would have functioned as a “portal hopper.”

Esbum Michigan 07

Then tragedy struck: the Alexandria sim and the whole, attached archipelago simply vanished in the middle of the night, perhaps the same night that Esbum hid the Missing Piece in its central pond. Here a considerably older looking Esbum stares at the resulting grid void. It was a loss she never recovered from.

Esbum Michigan 08

The family tried to compensate Esbum by building the Edwardston Station Gallery, named for her favorite sim and containing snapshots of it in a specially designed room. Pictures of another, older Edwardston, from RL in this case, appeared alongside the SL ones, including the 2 pictured here depicting what the family considered yet another Ancient named Max. But this could not truly sooth the gaping hole she felt.

Esbum Michigan 09

In the various iterations of the Temple of TILE down through the months, and in different locations, the family always prepared a room for Esbum similar to her original one in the Gliese temple, including a velvet Elvis she was particularly fond of. She did not like pictures showing a fat Elvis, though, and refused to believe that such an Elvis ever existed.

Unfortunately, Esbum took to drinking and hanging out at the Hobo RR Infohub in Calleta, making such a nuisance of herself that the family decided to deactivate her in Jan 09. A very difficult decision. She never got over the deletion of her sims, her pond, and her hoped-for home away from The Bakers.

“St. Michigan”

A collage in the 10×10 devoted to the memory of Esbum Michigan, changing her final status from grid removed psycho-bum to ascended saint.

Also as a special part of this collection, we’ve recreated the Missing Piece and decorated it in a style that Esbum herself might have chosen, had she had the chance (see above floor).

“Where Are We On That?” Floor 5: Wilsonia (& Esbum’s Missing Piece!)

Wilsonia Foxclaw 01

Although the other avatars would deny it if asked directly, newbie Wilsonia Foxclaw, born only several weeks after the grid deletion of Esbum, acted as her replacement, a new 4th for the family if you will. A decision was made to create a more normal looking form, albeit with a twist: Wilsonia had both male and female identities rolled into one. She was part Linden Boy Next Door and part Linden Girl Next Door. Like the other family members, she also had a specific place of birth: a remote valley in Otherland almost completely surrounded by granite mountains and, at that time, unpopulated.

This picture shows Wilsonia just after birth. The coffee cup (?) she’s throwing toward her head here was also found in this valley, an object she’s only let go of twice, and both times by mistake. It’s like Linus’ blanket to her.

Wilsonia Foxclaw 02

Like Esbum before her, Wilsonia was curious to see old and current family haunts, including the Calleta Infohub where her predecessor was known to taunt incoming “hottie” avatars she so detested. One said, “you can always change your form if you don’t like it.” “I don’t think so,” came back the icy reply along with an icy stare.

Wilsonia Foxclaw 03

Here Wilsonia visits the Otherland gallery for the first time, taking in the Edwardston snapshots/photographs and trying to grok Esbum’s love of her sims. Wilsonia was well aware that she was essentially a replacement for Esbum, and vowed never to forget it.

Wilsonia Foxclaw 04

After further exploration, Wilsonia eventually became quite drawn to the Snow Region of the oldest continent, Sansara, an area never fully explored by family members before. It was here that she determined she could possibly make her own niche, minus the fatal attraction that befell Esbum. As of the present, she has managed to remain quite objective to the attraction.

Wilsonia appears in no collages of the 10×10.

Loose Thoughts, Possible Chatting

The Where Are We On That? exhibit is now open, along with Something To CHRO About itself. Relief to get that done, admittedly. It’s a fairly good show… tried to make the notecards funny.

What next? Well………..

Hucka D.:

You forgot to finish your sentence.

bb:

RS7?

Hucka D.:

Yes. Yes.

bb:

Should I start hallucinating in those woods again? Some woods?

Hucka D.:

Hike the Atoll Range like you were planning. That’ll give you a project. Perhaps Wilsonia.

bb:

I miss Otherland.

Hucka D.:

Hallucinate there, then.

bb:

Baker Bloch needs to exteriorize into the real world again.

Hucka D.:

Yes. Maybe Hucka D., me!, as well.

bb:

I’m thinking portal #1 on the river. From there he can…

Hucka D.:

… access other portals, yes.

bb:

This has to happen now.

Hucka D.:

Yeah.

bb:

I’ll try to go to portal #1 tomorrow, or maybe early Sat.

Hucka D.:

More pictures. You should post the ones from portal #2 you took the other day.

bb:

I will, then. A couple.

Hucka D.:

Your experience in SL is complete now. You must hallucinate. Wilsonia will stay behind.

bb:

Baker Bloch goes into RL again?

Hucka D.:

Yes. I will help him. Maybe to Long Hope, but maybe to Darkside. Beach. Baker Beach.

bb:

Can he just enter the cube in the Temple of TILE and come out in the sphere of the Temple of the Moon?

Hucka D. (tapping pollen ball thoughtfully on chin):

Could it be that easy? Maybe.

bb:

Darkside is ripe for this transformation. Maybe I’ll just go back there.

Hucka D.:

You already have pictures, though.

bb:

Temple of the Moon divides Kansas from Oz? Kansas City Life from the Oz part of Dark Side of the Rainbow?

Hucka D.:

Well… there’s certainly a hole in the middle. A central shaft or chamber. Doorway as you call it.

bb:

If Baker Bloch goes there, what will he do?

Hucka D.:

Maybe he should just go to TILE Creek.

bb:

Maybe you should. New Hope.

Hucka D.:

Who lived at Darkside, baker b.? You must ask yourself that.

bb:

Ancients, I suppose.

Hucka D.:

Baker Bloch may meet his father there again. Ross Falls like. Ross. Black Oz. Dark Oz.

bb:

Could he, then, walk up to the Land of Oz itself? Top of Beach?

Hucka D.:

Yes. He has to. There’s another portal at the Lion’s Den. Star map.

bb:

He will meet the lion, possibly a Black Lion.

Hucka D.:

Yes.

bb:

I need to read again where Hitchcock took Rupert to that very spot. From, er, Islands in the Book of Booker.

Hucka D.:

Star map. Portal. Lion’s Den. Denville.

bb:

Does…

Hucka D.:

Mainland madness? Yes, she does.

bb:

I thought so. That’s why I need to have one foot in and one foot out.

Hucka D.:

Just like you did at Uli with my shoehorn, yes.

bb:

Kerchal is a key. Kerch.

Hucka D.:

Whiteness there. Void. Ozmo shows up along with Grassy. Are they one yet? Where are we on that?

bb:

Maybe Baker Bloch should take Baker Blinker with him.

Hucka D.:

And me? Leave Wilsonia in SL to take care of things there. Baker Bloch’s immediate obligations have been fulfilled.

bb:

Or to portal #1.

Hucka D.:

Another possibility. The link between portal #1 and portal #2 has perhaps been broken.

bb:

I better wrap this up.

Hucka D.:

Talk soon.

Another discovery

New news.

In Klein this morning, only about a week after discovering Esbum’s Missing Piece in the field next to our 1024 parcel there, another strange thing has emerged from the 4th dimension of that sim, a document we’re calling Ozmomap. More soon.

baker b.

Tronesis, 1?

“Hucka D., I’m going to give you one of your wishes and let you talk about Tronesis.”

Hucka D.:

Thank you baker b. I wish this quite much. Not as much as last spring but still let’s attempt it.

bb:

Do you want to start?

Hucka D.:

Tronesis is a audiovisual symbiosis of the 1982 movie Tron and the 1974 album Lamb Lies Down On Broadway. It is, in essence, a trace of a real movie made about the same time as Tron based on the *album*.

bb:

This would involve Peter Gabriel’s discussions with director William Friedkin about a possible movie about the album during its pre-production. Although some trial script drafts were created, nothing came of it and Friedkin moved on to create the movie Sorcerer.

Hucka D.:

Right. That movie, however, got off the ground in another reality and was released about the same time as the movie Tron. That’s the base resonation for the Tronesis synchronicity. Bleedthroughs have occurred, as picked up through your synch. That’s what interests me, these pockets of resonation. And what they point to.

bb:

As I was just telling the “other” Flynn, Blackbird plays an important role in this synchronicity.

Hucka D.:

Bleeds into Carrcass-1 as well, then, you see. And also no chance that Graham chose the blackbird as a logo for his gallery before giving it up and allow you to expand your *Chro* gallery, which you know stands for Crow. Bakers works are in Chro now, and it actually tells the story of the 2 Bakers, 2 aspects of yourself (animus, anima) in the exhibit “Where Are We On That?”. Chro is the 13th hidden around and behind the 12. Blackbird come out of the sky…. sure can fly.

bb:

I was also just telling the other Flynn that one of the more profound moments of the sychronicity is when the character *Ram* dies or fades out at the *exact* moment that the *Lamb* album ends by fading out at the end of the song “It”.

800px-Ram_derezzes2

Hucka D.:

I believe “It” stands for the user power that Jeff Bridges — Flynn — had in the movie. He could not save Ram from dying, though. Ram/Lamb had to die in order to be born again.

bb:

Maybe you should explain the 4 cues of the synchronicity, and how… you know the synch better than me now, after all…

Hucka D.:

The playing sequence of the movie Tron is not altered in the synchronicity, although it is edited. The playing sequence of Lamb Lies Down On Broadway within the synchronicity is, in contrast, greatly altered, although in 4 large blocks. These correspond to the cues, and, roughly, to the 4 sides of the original, double album when it was released as 2 vinyl records in ’74. The first side of the album is played as a whole within the synchronicity. However it only appears at the end of the movie Tron in the synch. Roughly again, the sides of the album are played in this order within the synchronicity: 2-4-3-1. The 4th and last side ends with the death/fading out of Ram in the movie, as you have pointed out. Ram dies with Lamb, but this occurs only at the halfway point in the synchronicity. The synchronicity actually ends with the song “In the Cage”, the next to last song on side 1.

bb:

“In The Cage” is also a piece by Charles Ives, as mentioned before in this blog.

Hucka D.:

2-4-3-1. The general weakness of the Lamb album is that it starts very strong but ends not as strong. This was pointed out by the band members themselves. The synchronicity is partially created, or *allowed*, to compensate for this, even out the strength and weakness and allow it to end on a strong note (In The Cage). This is partially why the re-ordering was allowed to take place.

bb;

Interesting, perhaps, that both “John” and “Cage” are prominently featured words in that song. John Cage, who, along with Ives, may represent the most important American musicians of the 20th Century.

Hucka D.:

Amer*e*can (smiles).

bb:

That song ties it with SID’s 1st Oz as well, and the lyrics of Barrett’s “Long Gone” with “And I borrowed a page from a leopard’s cage…” Ives was inspired to write “In The Cage” because of a caged leopard.

Hucka D.:

The parrot flew into the tv screen at “opening dawn of her face”, when Toto was opening the window to attempt to follow Dorothy to the electric shock institute headed by Worley.

bb:

Do you want to say anything else about Tronesis tonight?

Hucka D.:

The tube is the frisbee.

bb:

Thank you.

Over The Top, 1

“A daring daylight chat, Hucka D.!”

Hucka D.:

Over the top and under the bottom!

bb:

Darkside and Ozland as one.

Hucka D.:

A vinyl record is flipped over, and then flipped again. Frisbee. Adam. Rook. Chro. Raven. Rookwood…

bb:

Why does the Mossman religion forbid travels to Granddaddy Mtn., Hucka D.?

Hucka D.:

It is sacred. Rock Gods. Rubidoo.

bb:

Ahhhh… what I was going to ask you about next. I think I’ve figured out what Rubidoo is. Where it is. It’s a creek.

Hucka D.:

Yeah. Green and red and once. You need to go back before the flies and mosquitoes and gnats fill the air with their buzzing.

bb:

And New Hope as well!

Hucka D.:

Obviously!

bb:

Should Baker Bloch go ahead and make the transition from SL to RL again at the Bay Harbour portal?

Hucka D.:

I think he has to. Like a trip to the moon.

bb:

Will you help him again?

Hucka D.:

All I can.

bb:

Should Wilsonia go instead. After all…

Hucka D.:

Baker Bloch should go. Leave Baker Blinker in charge of the inworld family for a while. She needs a Star Trek logo, btb.

bb:

It’s rained every day since I last visited Darkside, Hucka D. I know we need it, but…

Hucka D.:

Photos. Camera. Take pictures. Snapshots for blog. Blogshots.

bb:

Hold on…

*****

(24 hours later)

bb:

Wow, didn’t mean that long. You still there?”

Hucka D.:

You wish to speak about the Foreign One. Orrin. North Da… (pause)

bb:

You still there?

Hucka D.:

Foreign One. The Arab. Found in Sink/Sank/Sunk. Actually 1/2 mile from Current River, the current river. Sink Creek. Ziczaczoe. Camp Zoe. But The Arab manifested in the Ziczac sim. Travelled down the Great Atoll Wall, you see, to Rubi and the temple then there. Made a cross with the subway system and then mirrored the cross in other ways as well, like your cemetery at the bottom of the tree trunk with the crosses. Also the underwater Bible with the cross on the front. At the time we connected it with The Point of The Wall. Oblio and all that. Still applies. Where are we on that?

bb:

Rubi is SID, though. SID’s 1st Oz.

Hucka D.:

The Arab comes from Mythos as a whole, though. It is Mythos in a manner. Petrarchian Com… (pause)

bb:

Hmmmm… what are the contents, Hucka D.? I know that it had a powerful blue energy source when transposed to Rubi, right in the center of the cross it made with the subway system. What was that?

Hucka D.:

Not oil that’s for sure. Nor Oyl. Gas. Blue gas. Pure. Clean. Energy.

bb:

Is it the ship Finally Married, that carries the valuable synthetic rubber?

Hucka D.:

A *tube*.

bb:

Ahhhh… yes. Maybe.

Hucka D.:

A tube is inserted into the throat of a rat. When the rat speaks…

Both (in unison):

… everyone listens.

(both laugh)

bb (clearing throat):

What would be the parallel of the tube in Rubi, then?

Hucka D.:

We need to talk about what’s going to happen next.

bb:

The transformation with Karoz. Kaoz.

Hucka D.:

Yes. Half Kansas, half Oz. Karoz. Kaoz. Radio. Kaoz. Where are we…

bb: (interrupting)

I’m picking up on something that’s precisely 4 minutes long. 2×2 minutes, then.

Hucka D.: (prompting)

Darkside. He is in the Temple of the Moon. Can you see?

bb:

Should Baker Bloch go with him?

Hucka D.:

No, but as you’ve picked up on, Karoz and Baker Bloch will be great friends. Before they were great enemies, in the dark past when both were Ancients. Warriors, each. Hanna Barbarians, ha!

bb:

Sometimes you have to get that out of your system, I suppose. Like you and Grassy and The Wilderness.

Hucka D.:

There were be remnants [of this conflict] left. We’re not perfect. We are and we aren’t [I mean].

bb:

So this is it. We send him, well, to the Moon, in essence.

Hucka D.:

Essentially, in essence.

bb:

Like Neil Armstrong. Buzz. Buzzing.

More Roamings, Misc. Stuff…

The SL inspired abstract work of Bau Ur , who I met upon my first visit to Yapland. Very beautiful and moving. This is from Twilight’s Peace; her paintings are also found at the Palais du Gouverneur, Bourbon

Wilsonia was pleasantly surprised to find that the waterfall next to the Okinu sim was still there, with the inclusive parcel now providing a free inner tube ride that propels one over the end of a conveyer belt and directly into the waters of the Okinu sim some 30 meters below. Wilsonia quite enjoyed the ride!

snapshot986_004smaller

Then she had to jump off at a certain point and take a gander at the glyphs she knew would confront her when reaching the bottom. Hmmmm… this one has an interesting sawtooth shaped jag to it.

snapshot986_007smaller

Then it’s on to the Linden Memorial Island with Baker Bloch once again. I neglected to advertise in this blog that the island is now open to the public (!). More info can be found in this post from the official SL blog.

snapshot987_002smaller

The same night, I believe, Baker Bloch visits some old stomping grounds in the Cecropia sim, namely the very green pool of water called the Grief Containment Pond, complete with a pipe that heads all the way south to ANWR. You can find out more about the latter here. Like ANWR, the Griefer Containment Pond is also listed as a Point of Interest for the Atoll Continent (Heterocera), but, as yet, doesn’t have any text on its particular page.

Anyway, back to Baker Bloch’s personal experiences with the pipeline that connects the two. Well, it does and it doesn’t. I’m pretty sure that Baker Bloch has walked in this pipe before, and I know Baker Blinker has. Before today, the Bakers were able to walk maybe a third of the way south toward ANWR before reaching a dead end. This day, Baker got stuck almost at the beginning. I’ll have to remember to send in the shorter Hucka Doobie to see how far he can now go. But at any rate, it seems that the pipe is narrowing, at least in places. More Sansara-Heterocera strangeness?

snapshot989_001smaller

I don’t usually like to jump ahead of fellow explorers to areas they’ve advertised they wish to explore in the near future, especially to take pictures. But I did make this one exception. I’m sure fellow Sansara trekker Nish’s snapshots of the Fuchsia sim will be much nicer than mine, and the accompanying text will be much more journalistic.* However, I was struck by a *slight but perhaps still distinct* resemblance between this oddly shaped Linden created rook (chess rook, that is) structure near the western edge (left side of photo below) and my Darkside’s Temple of the Moon. I’m pretty sure I’ve been to Fuschia before, but I don’t remember this object at all, nor the forest that covers the much of the western part of the sim next to it. Hopefully Nish’s promised blog post concerning the sim will provide more light on this “mystery”.

snapshot990_001smaller

Maybe it’s just the same combination of looking up through a crack in gray matter toward a blue sky. More research needed, perhaps.

snapshot990_005smaller

Then it’s on to the “Something to CHRO About” gallery in Healy, but not with Baker Bloch this time, nor any of the familar, extended family. No, this is someone different: it’s the highly anticipated snapshot debut of *Karoz* that Hucka D. and I have been chatting about recently. As you can see, he’s very green. More on him later. Hucka D. has said several times that Baker Bloch and Karoz will be best of buddies in SL.

snapshot992_006smaller

Moving on yet again, this time to Nova Albion, although I don’t think Edward Manray will be able to help me much with my examination of Sansara continent mysteries (thanks anyway for the im, Edward!), I decided on a whim to visit his office in a Grignano brownstone apt. building. There I spotted this prettily framed photograph hanging beside the front door. Judging by the appearance, this must be an ancestor of Edward Manray himself — is this gentleman, in a kneeling position, perhaps proposing to the queerly expressioned woman in the photo? Why is she looking directly at the photographer with such an expression? Luv to know the story.

On second thought, maybe Mr. Manray can help me out in some way. After all, I do know that Myst may be involved.

Over The Top, 2

“So it’s actually night time now.”

Hucka D.:

High time.

bb:

Want to speak about Karoz, etc.?

Hucka D.:

Sure. (pause)

bb:

Can Karoz speak through this blog?

Hucka D.:

Karoz and Baker Bloch, Baker, will be great friends. It’s a male friend for Baker.

bb:

Isn’t that, uh, you, though?

Hucka D.:

I talk to you; that’s my main role now.

bb:

I think I’m going to head over to that Bar Harbor portal. As Baker Bloch perhaps. I think that’s where it’s going to happen, the new SL-RL translation. But it won’t be Baker Bloch going through it this time. He has too much going on over in SL now.. almost said “over here”, but we’re not in virtual reality right now. Are we.

Hucka D.:

Not really.

bb:

So… is this “the place”?

Hucka D.:

You need to roam around more in Herman/Frank Parks. 6/7. The two children in the TILE scheme. Brother and sister to Blue Mountain and Mythopolis, the mother and the father. It started at New Hope.

bb:

Karoz is a Mossman, Hucka D.

Hucka D.:

Yes. He is.

bb:

What are the implications of that?

Hucka D.:

He will succeed.

bb:

In the SL-RL translation, you mean.

Hucka D.:

He helped create it.

bb:

Will he then be able to establish a further connection between Frank Park portals 1 and 2?

Hucka D.:

No. He’ll have to walk between the two. He’s prepared to do so.

bb:

What about Darkside? Will he go there? And if so I suppose this means another portal will have to be opened.

Hucka D.:

Not necessarily. There’s always the goodmobiles.

bb:

Grassy’s Goodmobile? 1st Goodmobile?

Hucka D.:

Karoz will head, then, to Rubidoo. He has to. That’s his new home.

bb:

Hmmmmm….

Hucka D.:

Yes. He will head to Granddaddy.

“Hucka D., how’s the Tronesis research going?”

Hucka D.:

Get Flynn involved.

bb:

Alright. Is it more mysterious than the Okinu glyphs?

Hucka D.:

What do you think?

bb:

OK…

Hucka D.:

I still watch it almost nightly on my SL laptop.

bb:

Where exactly is that loca…

Hucka D.:

In Klein. I live in Klein now. K-l-e-i-n.

bb:

Not C-l-i-n-e.

Hucka D.:

That’s coming up, though. Try out that castle and other buildings. You may like.

bb:

In Mythos, Cline is a prophet. Clineism.

Hucka D.:

Pope Project. Which brings us back to Tronesis. I’m seeing more to it than I supposed. It is the new Dark Side of the Rainbow.

bb:

I think SID’s 1st Oz fits that bill.

Hucka D.:

I am studying all 4 works on my laptop from that flowering. The Point of The Wall, SID’s 1st Oz, Fantastic Aspic, Tronesis. That’s baker’s peak. Baker’s Mountain. Hill… Mountain. Tyler County.

bb:

SID is the most important one, though. That’s the octave of Dark Side…

Hucka D.:

It’s the octave of the Rainbow Complex.

bb:

Yeah, that’s what I meant.

Hucka D.:

We must speak of TILE, then. Tyle and TILE [spells out each].

bb:

What of The Arab from Mythos, carrying the foreign one?

Hucka D. (ignoring bb’s comment):

Make a map of those 4. 4 in 1. SID is dominant, yes, but others must have their place. Tronesis. Flynn.

bb:

What is the frisbee? Blackbird?

Hucka D.:

Yes. Chro… Crow. Bakersworks. Where are we on that?

bb:

User. Flynn. Lily White Lilith.

Hucka D.:

It’s a great synch. It will always be undervalued, though.

bb:

Compared to, say, SID.

Hucka D.:

It’s interesting… (pause)

bb:

Yes? (pause) Hucka D.?

Alice:

We wish to know about the toy avatars, baker b.

bb:

Oh. Hi Alice. Do you know Karoz yet? Have you met him, I mean?

Alice:

So he is the one.

bb:

I’m not sure. What exactly does that mean?

Alice:

The one who will lead the toy avatars beyond their present boundaries.

bb:

You mean Frank and Herman Parks?

Alice:

I see a green 7 and a red 6. But they are equal.

Hucka D.:

This is TILE.

Alice:

Two children. In the same band. Vibration.

Hucka D.:

The parents are not Blue Mountain and Boulder but Blue Mountain and Mythopolis. I think…

Alice:

The two colors are one and the same. Red and green.

Hucka D.:

Rubidoo, baker b.

bb:

What of Ragitoo?

Hucka D.:

That’ll work.

bb:

What should I do with Rubidoo?

Hucka D.:

Live there.

bb:

I’m afraid…

Alice:

Flickering. Vibrating. On off on off.

bb:

Hucka D. said Karoz will live on the Rubidoo Creek, Alice.

Alice:

Karoz, yes. Red and green.

bb:

Well, he’s green, that’s for certain.

Alice:

Also red. One and the same. Giant and dwarf.

bb:

Interesting. Green and red again.

Hucka D.:

Take the 7 and the 6 and head into Rubidoo. Grizzly, Egan, Ben.

bb:

Snapshots. Lots of snapshots.

Hucka D.:

Yes. When the bear roars…

bb:

No, that doesn’t work.

Alice:

A rotating house. M.C. Scissors. Cut it out, Hucka D.

Hucka D.:

Oooohhh.

New Gallery (!) (Under Construction)

The newest Hibdon gallery, I think this may eventually serve as the replacement for the Healy “Something To CHRO About,” but not positive about that. Here’s some pics of the present construction situation. More as it comes in!

Red cards… Redbirds… Cardinals

When I first got a chance to fully absorb Nish Mip’s most excellent Fuchsia sim post, one I think should become a model for all future single sim examinations anywhere, I immediately hopped over to both Fuchsia and also Extasia (possible “twin” to Fuchsia, according to this post) to see with my own 2 virtual eyes the various mysteries and otherwise observations she had written about. I quickly summarized my follow up finds in 2 identical comments on both this blog and Nish’s own Big Orange blog.

Nish also mentioned the Okinu sim glyphs in her Fuchsia post, and compared them to the shifting textures she also found in Fuchsia. As a more concrete attempt to build upon her wonderful research after making my aforementioned comment, I decided to trek the ne-sw diagonal of that sim, as I had previously done in other locations, especially the Rubi sim that I use to live in with its mysterious TILE resonations. My idea was to walk this diagonal at least every couple of days, and to take snapshots of what had changed or perhaps even remained the same. However, let’s talk about a discovery I found on what I envisioned as only my initial walk in this study…

First I should mention that, just prior to this, I had Baker Bloch teleport around the interior Nautilus continent water sims to see if any were worthy of a similar study. I knew from my visits last fall that the underwater scapes of these sims contain interesting texture patterns; each sim also has its unique style of patterning. The closest to Okinu in this respect seems to be one called Quidd, at least among the ones that I checked (there are many). But still they’re not as sharp nor distinct as the ones in Okinu. So having retested the, er, waters out in another spot, I decided to give the Okinu sim all my attention in this direction. It still seems unique.

Snapshot998_001smaller

So about 2/3rds the way down Baker Bloch’s subsequent walk of the Okinu ne-sw diagonal he found this glyph that you just skirt the edge of to the west. This one attracted me more than the several others also seen from the diagonal because of 2 proximate, smaller glyphs off its southern end.

Snapshot997_023smaller

Somewhat surprising me (and Baker Bloch) in this area was a heart shaped glyph Baker Bloch had notably stumbled across before in this sim (recorded in this post), but with the color switched with the ocean floor backdrop in respect to that one, the heart being beige against a blue-green background now. Then next to it was a somewhat larger, regular diamond pattern. I immediately thought: hearts and diamonds — the 2 red suits of an ordinary deck of cards!

Snapshot997_026smaller

Snapshot997_040smaller

It was at this time that I began to think about that dizzily spinning bird in Extasia that I mention in my comment re Nish’s material, not only because it was a *red* bird but because it was also a particular kind of red bird according to its description: a *card*inal.

More to follow.

Snapshot998_012smaller

More red (Cardinal), then Fuchsia…

So I teleported once more to Extasia. Here’s a direct quote from Nish’s Fuchia related post about it:

If you look Fuchsia up on the web you can find out that it apparently shares a server with an island called Extasia. (my note: Nish then provides a picture of where Extasia is in relationship to Fuchsia and the Sansara continent as a whole here). I teleported over to the Extasia sim to take a look at Fuchsia’s twin. The Extasia sim at first glance did not appear to have any connections with Fuchsia as it is for the main part snow covered and privately owned, but on closer inspection the Sim possessed three small islets roughly the same size as the ones on Fuchsia. As well as this there is a narrow water channel splitting two of the main landmasses. This feature you can also find in Fuchsia.

Yes, it was indeed that narrow water channel now drawing my attention. For one thing, it’s exactly this same channel that you land in upon selecting a generic teleport into the sim (that is, just selecting Extasia in the SL map’s search box and hitting “enter”). You are suppose to teleport into the center of the sim. However, since that particular location is banned you enter at the nearest unbanned region, which is in this body of water. The red band lines will be immediately to your south when you teleport into Extasia in this way.

Snapshot999_001smaller

Snapshot1001_002smaller

In following this central, narrow water channel to the east, then, after several turns one runs into a dead end, complete with what I thought was a turkey upon my initial visit to this sim. However, in checking the description in this follow up visit, Baker Bloch finds that it’s actually what’s called a chocobo, described in the wikipedia article on the subject as a large, fictional, and normally flightless bird that can be ridden. Indeed, the strangely stranded bird in front of me advertised itself as being both ridable and cuddleable. However, I found when Blochs attempted to ride it he merely bounced up in the air. Apparently only the owner can ride it, I’m guessing, although the chocobo itself didn’t say so itself.

Snapshot999_008smaller

In turning around and heading the opposite direction in the channel, one more turn past the entrance point brings you to this larger, more open waterway with that furiously spinning redbird I give a close up of in the previous post to this. He is flying around the extreme west side of this water body, as the chocobo is on the extreme east end of same, if you count the whole as one interior stream or system. All other water in the Extasia sim lies along its edges, in contrast. But what is overlapping this extreme east-west position for the 2 birds is the fact that one is *flightless* (emphasized by it being pinned at the end of the waterway, unable to fly up and out), and the other is *flying too much*. That is, its flight is overexagerated. The redbird is spinning so fast that it seems certifiably insane, in fact. No sane bird would fly in that manner, and in the same tight circle. I would assume, for one thing, that any non-virtual bird would soon get dizzy and fall out of the sky if doing so.

In the below picture, you can see a frozen shot of the cardinal near the lower left corner. The redness (and also “cardinal-ness”, perhaps) is emphasized by the fact that the bird continually, rapidly spins in and out of another banned area on the island marked by *red* lines. I thought this fact odd too, and also that this means the ever orbiting bird spends about 1/2 its time above (unbanned) water, and 1/2 the time above the banned, red bordered land.

I’ve never seen a bird fly that strangely in SL, but in visiting the next sim up (Fantasia) found a doppleganger cardinal spinning just as rapidly in a tight circle above a garden space there. Upon inspecting each, discovered that both are named “Cardinal” with the added description as follows: “Merry Xmas from ArchTx Edo and Jemma Flora”. It’s a rather old creation also, from late 2005, and weighs in at a hefty 27 prims, quite a waste considering that it appears as only a blur due to its rapid orbit.

Snapshot999_019smaller

I’ll have to quickly summarize my other Extasia finds as I’m running out of time for this paticular post. Just wanted to note that on the turn closest to the entrance point is this 3 prim object rather mysteriously termed a “water balloon” even though it looks as little like an actual water balloon as, well, a motionless giant turkey does a insanely spinning, small redbird.

Snapshot1001_020smaller

Not far to the west of the “water balloon” is a Philip Linden created bullet, from 2002 this time. There’s another, PL bullet near the channel as well. I mention this in particular because Nish states she found a Philip Linden creation on Fuchsia during her time there — a cylinder in that case. And owned by an *Easter*ling (remembering that the redbird description mentions “Xmas”)

Snapshot1001_022smaller

Moving back to Fuchsia, then, I also rather flippantly mentioned something in my comment to Nish’s post about the web color fuchsia having official rgb coordinates of 255, 0, 255, which means it is exactly 1/2 red and 1/2 blue. I noted in this comment that one could translate this to a sim coordinate, given that you can move an object underneath the surface of the sim to SL “sea level” (“0” elevation), but admitted that the coordinates would have to be shifted a bit to read 255, 255, 0 if so. It would lie at almost the northeast corner of a sim as well (256, 256, -) I thought, what the heck, I’ll find out what’s at 255 north and 255 east at Fuchsia. I knew that Nish mentioned a hole where you can peek under the land into nothingness at this northeast corner.

Upon finding the location of the 255, 255, 0 coordinates, I was surprised to learn that a bend in the land occurs at this exact spot. I couldn’t help but place a tiny, *fuchsia* colored cube to mark the spot — one probably has to enlarge the snapshot below in order to see it. It is at this very point that the land seems to kind of veer into the 4th dimension, if that’s a good description of it. I don’t know — maybe this is really a stretch. But I was just very surprised to find *something* at these exact coordinates. Hucka D. has since advised me (unrecorded up to this point) that this indeed does represent a kink in or, perhaps better, into the 4th dimension, calling the Fuchsia Point or Point Fuchsia. He says he’ll speak about it in this blog very soon. He also highlighted the 1/2 red and 1/2 blue component for this point, saying, yes indeed, that it is tied to the cardinal at Extasia, as well as its “opposite” of the non-flying chocobo. My guess is that he’ll state the chocobo stands for the opposite, blue color of the fuchsia composite, and perhaps even tie it back into the heart-diamond combo of the Okinu sim that’s part of this whole flow of examination. We’ll soon see if my guess is correct.

More coming up, then, I suppose!

Loss Thoughts, & Chatting?

Duplicate “Where are we on that?” now set up in the new Hibdon gallery underneath the Temple of TILE. When to end the original show in Healy’s CHRO gallery, though? Maybe mid-June now (parallel to the end of Kelly’s Circus themed show). There’s a chance I may just close the CHRO gallery, then, but probably not. I think I can pull enough pictures from the blog itself, even as it stands now, to create another, full show similar to “Where are we on that?” Should be fun, once again, to try to cobble together.

Let’s just bring in Hucka D., since we’re stretched for time tonight a bit. “Hucka?”

Hucka D.:

Pull out of Healy?

bb:

Maybe. Probably not.

Hucka D.:

You need your ESG there. And if so, you need to keep CHRO there as well. Both or neither.

bb:

Hmmmm… could put ESG in Klein… barely enough room.

Hucka D.:

No one will see it, though.

bb:

They might.

Hucka D.:

You are going to ask what is the meaning of Extasia and the resonances there. MapS. Rotating Redbird. Dante. Ring, circle. Spinning… fastly. Butte… S.F. The redbird wishes to escape its spin, which it does in Oklahoma. Dead end the other way… flightless. Go back. Tonight. Fuchsia point now. Center of SL? Most likely not. 255, 255, though. Go back. Tonight.

bb:

Anything else, then?

Hucka D.:

No. See ya!
