Baker Blinker Blog Book V: Jeogeot III 06b (Sept 2010 02 of 02)

*More* additions (!)

I now own basically the entire Otaki Gorge sink. Will wonders never cease!

Views for now…

From the cabin perched atop a rock ledge looking north across the bottom of the sink.

Baker Bloch points to his cabin.

Baker walking through cemetery at very center of Otaki sink. It’s the same as the old Norum cemetery for now, with one interesting difference: the separation of a darker rock from the rest of the cemetery objects via a 4×8 meter iron rail fence. What is the meaning of this rock (which also has its own, separate 32 sq meter parcel)?

Baker perhaps ponders the same question himself while sitting on the edge of the cemetery. The larger of the 2 Victorian houses on the property contain the Big Island pictures once more, same as in Noru still.

This is something really exciting to me. My land now completely surrounds what I’ve identified as Peter’s Mound in this blog that Baker stands atop of below. Super exciting! Can’t wait to hear what Hucka D., Sapphire, etc. have to say about that.

Baker sits on the upper porch of the larger Victorian house looking toward the 2nd, smaller Victorian house up on the hill, beyond Peter’s Mound. To its right is yet another structure already rezzed on the property, and another familiar one: it’s currently a duplicate of the Gallery 9 structure, again also still in Noru at the moment.

From same position looking south toward the cabin already discussed.

From the smaller Victorian house (blue) toward the larger Victorian house (red).

From the top floor of Gallery 9 looking east again.

The land was purchased at a really reasonable price. I simply couldn’t pass it up, although it meant sacrifices in other areas. I am once again a Sunklander.

More on Otaki Gorge in this blog here.

Solo

“Probably…”

Hucka D.:

No. A good thing. The right thing.

bb:

Sunklands is highly deserted! Flying around it just before logging in to the blog here.

Hucka D.:

Weelll… you don’t need the rest of Sunklands now, baker b. Last p in the Pod baker b.

Sapphire:

Norum had taken you as far as it could. I mean you took Norum…

Hucka D.:

He knows. He understands. He’s…

bb:

Something else has come up. A space needs to be cleared out.

Hucka D.:

Move beyond the Blue Feather but also incorporate it. And now you have. Winesap.

bb:

Plant liked to talk about Winesap.

Hucka D.:

Lemon brought in the Bill. The Bill. Starting with Peter’s very first, true carrcass and ending with his last true carrcass. Carrcass-0.

bb:

ESBUM, you mean.

Hucka D.:

Yes. There’s a reason Firesine Theater are called The Beetles of Comedy.

bb:

Firesine… good.

Hucka D.:

You must… should go to the Lake District next. [As ]Baker Bloch, I mean.

bb:

Great idea (!)

Hucka D.:

Go to the Greenup Valley first. Follow the path of the series, 1-20. Go to the mound. Follow the stream, which is a serpent.

bb:

I’ll do that. I’ll check now about new Greenup pictures.

*****

bb:

Yes, looks like many more, as expected of course.

Hucka D.:

You start in Greenup Gill. That’s the next exhibit.

bb (to Sapphire):

So you’re not *too* mad at me, Sapphire?

Sapphire:

I will continue the interview, but you will take notes first. And: no. Norum is independent of Chilbo, but Chilbo, um…

bb:

It’s right there.

Sapphire:

Yes.

bb:

Now I have a true, independent microcosm, Sapphire.

Sapphire:

It is independent. And you know where Peter moved when he left Norum. Because *you* are Peter. Peter the So So. Peter The Rock. All Peters.

bb:

There’s a message on the rock. The Rock. The Rock is special.

Sapphire:

Yes. Peter carried it with him from Norum. A Special Rock. It was beaten[(hewn)].

bb:

I’m going to go take another look, Sapphire. Hold on.

bb:

I noticed today that the rock is kind of the same size as the tiny pool in front of the house as well. If you moved this rock directly east and down, it would fit really snugly into the sides of the pool. Let me demonstrate by copying the rock and pulling it east…

If you move it inside the house and adjust the height, it would also pass through the portrait of Chancellor Lord Chesaw hanging in the front room, specifically the right side of the portrait, through his left arm. The rock is also a similar color to the suit of the black and white painting. But I guess that could actually be a photo?

In the next room up, and keeping the same east-west alignment, it would pass through the fallen down cabinet of the 2 in that room. The other stands upright beside the fallen one.*

The Rock is the same as The Cabinet. Both “fallen” in some way? [Sapphire doesn’t respond]

In the other direction, it would glide past (to the north) but not hit the palm tree marking Peter’s grave — the mound.

More experiments. “Unfolding” The Rock.

“You still there, Sapphire?”

Sapphire:

Yes. You know what I want to say.

bb:

It’s the “I”.

Sapphire:

Yes.

bb:

The Small Pool is the “E”[, then].

Sapphire:

Correct.

bb:

Thanks for that. I almost didn’t put the pool on the property, but decided just a tiny bit of water needed to be at the bottom of the sink.

Sapphire:

It is a sink[ after all].

bb:

Sorry about the interview. We’ll continue tomorrow night.

Sapphire:

That’s fine. Bring over your “E” now.

bb:

OK.

*****

bb:

Maybe something to do with Meeting Rock in Herman Park.

Sapphire:

*Yes.*

Hucka D.:

He’s getting it. Finally.

Sapphire:

Yes.

bb:

OK… maybe it’s the energy that formerly was in this place. It was a Christian retreat.

Sapphire (quickly):

Now it is a TILE retreat.

bb:

Not sure they would like that.

Hucka D.:

Christians regularly took over pagan sites and [assimilated] their energy.

bb:

Yeah.

Sapphire:

You are doing the same. Crosses all around.

bb:

The “E” is like my cross. It is The All.

Sapphire:

There is a front and a back. A Nascera side and an Arecsan[ side].

*****

bb:

Well. Since the parcel the rock sits upon is 32 sq meters, perhaps The Rock is the same as Karoz’s 32 prim fuchsia diamond. The Rock.

Hucka D.:

It is a teleportation device to call in The Bill. A window[ into another dimension]. You had to buy this land, baker b. You simply had to.

bb:

Firesine Theater… The Bill.

Hucka D.:

Yes. (pause) Lemon brought them here. St. Lemon of Troy. From Patmos.

*****

bb:

The Rock had to be kept apart from The Pool? Fenced in[as it were]?

Sapphire (quoting):

“I before… I before E.”

bb:

Why would they have to be kept apart?

Sapphire:

Energy generation. The Rock grows stronger when separate from The Pool. Isolation. Just like the gorge or sink itself.

bb:

Is it a Jupiter Rock?

Hucka D.:

Err… we better end soon.

bb:

If the “I” is separated from the “E”, then TILE follows the Mundane Path and not the Special Path.

Hucka D.:

Mundane is not necessarily Bad.

bb:

It [The Rock] is also The Confederation. Separate from Rion, the mother source.

Hucka D.:

Yes. I think.

bb:

And then Mythos itself. I meant Mythos instead of the Confederation above.

Hucka D. (correcting):

Before.

bb:

Sapphire, what say you? Is The Rock Mythos?

Sapphire:

Yes.

bb:

Is The Pool Norum?

Sapphire:

Yes.

bb:

I’m not going to live in that [larger Victorian]house. I’ll live in the smaller, blue one. The larger one will be devoted to TILE.

Hucka D.:

We better end. Think as usual. Feel as… well, feel.

bb:

The Rock is me.

Hucka D.:

Correct enough. Good night.

Sapphire:

Night baker.

bb:

Thanks guys.

*****

*The Rock as some kind of storage device, perhaps of documentation of a “Fall”?

“Well…

… I woke up tonight guys and had the feeling that I shouldn’t have given up on Noru. Otaki was a carrot on a stick for some reason.”

Hucka D.:

To get you out of Norum. Sapphire wanted you to stay.

bb:

Thanks for that. I seem to be resolving energies of places and then moving on. First Rubi and the new Temple of TILE — gave it up. Not the building itself but the land. It is a fulfillment of the energies of Rubi, begun way back in August 08. Then the Norum property seems to have culimnated with the latest incarnation of the Blue Feather Gallery, and the “Jeogeot Through Art and Word” exhibit. Gave the land up again. Now it’s Otaki Gorge’s turn, seemingly, as I return to the Aotearoa general area. The gorge is only about 128 meters from my old land there. I own a whole sink. But I can’t help think I’ve been tricked.

Hucka D.:

No. No trick. We needed you in Otaki Gorge. Sink to match a [completed] synch.

bb:

Carrcass-4, you mean.

Hucka D.:

Yes. (pause) And no.

bb:

Billfork… can I say that?

Hucka D.:

It’s in Floydadada. Might as well. (shrugs)

Sapphire:

And we needed to keep you out of trouble, baker Beach.

bb:

Hi Sapphire.

Sapphire:

TILE is an important thing now. True, Otaki Gorge is like a last gasp for Your Mainland. An island in a Sea of Void. We also had to get you away from the Baker sim, but not Isle of Baker necessarily. That can be a mainland base.

bb:

Where Baker Bloch was born in SL, after all.

Sapphire:

The house is inessential, though. You’re just going to light on Isle of Baker and fly around, after all. Isle of Baker can be your center. The campfire.

bb:

Yes.

Sapphire:

But keep doing that. Otaki Gorge is a longer, slower project to develop. You’ll see soon enough.

bb:

Glad you’re OK with this, Sapphire[ (purchasing of Otaki Gorge sink)].

Sapphire:

Had to happen. Last gasp.

Hucka D.:

Island.

New art in the Blue Feather; new gallery (SoSo) in Otaki Gorge…

Kinetic art piece bought about a week ago from Tubular Gallery near Chilbo. Baker “sits” within and takes a fun ride. Inserted on middle of 3 patio areas of Blue Feather. Tubular Gallery added to appropriate maps and notecards. Go visit!

Couple more copies of famous art pieces procured from the Parktown Art Gallery. Once again, visit! There’s also an ad I picked up from the Red Leaf Gallery, which exists now only as a shell of the busy, functioning gallery it use to be (judging from the ad). I’d ask you to visit as well, but… well, it’s really not there any longer. Perhaps the Red Leaf will return; I’ll make a note to keep checking back. It *was* located just across the Hanja Infohub region from Parktown, in Hamneda.

Bought another beautiful etched glass art piece from Chilbo’s Kristine Kristan (K2 Gallery), along with another Chilbo piece by surrealist Janis Shamen (Ceci n’est pas une Galerie – Sur)

Finally a couple of Blinkertons for the second floor — yes he was a resident of Jeogeot — sometime, somewhere. 🙂

Moving now to Otaki Gorge, I’ve created an entirely new gallery called SoSo, a small affair housing, presently, 1 series of my “Art 10×10”, namely the Oblong series, my personal favorite as a whole.

Within you can look up for a great view of the palm tree marking the grave of Peter the SoSo, former resident of Otaki Gorge in pre-Linden days, apparently. This leftover tree acts as proof, after all (!) And so the gallery was named for this Sunklander Peter, who also, according the story/stories I’m still developing, left Norum sometime just before or after its absorption into the Linden Lab grid to come to this gorge/sink, perhaps the first such sink created.

As you can see, nature has not been excluded from the gallery. 🙂

Looking toward the Home o’ Fibs, as I’m calling it, from the large, east facing window of the gallery.

Overhead view. Since the creation of these photos, I’ve also made a path from the backdoor of the gallery (there are 2 identically shaped doors — front and back) to Gallery 9 transferred from Noru, up the hill a bit. More on that soon.

SoSo (gallery) was designed so that you could still get a great view into the center of the sink from the House of Truth (blue house in photo below) and Gallery 9.

More Updates…

Replaced Gallery 9 near northeast corner of Noru, on my remaining parcel there (a 512), with just purchased Victorian house that I intuitively felt would be a great place to show the Greenup series of the 10×10. And it seems I was right. I call it House Greenup.

Upstairs:

Alcove w/ transparent walls, giving that great view of the surrounding “lowlands”.

Downstairs:

The Greenup series (20 collages) begins at Baker’s right here and works counterclockwise around the walls of both the lower and upper floors. ending at Baker’s left. Fits pretty well. And the house looks great, and slots into my narrow parcel perfectly.

View from long porch toward park-like grounds.

I don’t think I’ve included a picture of the expanded version of the lake in the park, so here ‘t’is. It’s quite deep for its size, although not really big enough to warrent a sailboat. Just for show, mind you. It’s a nice place to relax, and admittedly my favorite spot in Noru presently. Good place to get away from it all still.

Finally, I thought I’d throw in a snapshot from Otaki Gorge once more, showing some recently planted pink bushes in the pine woods on each side of the sink/gorge. And today I also tested whether the entire Blue Feather Gallery, current version, would fit onto this new property in any way. Success! Yes, I can move it to Otaki Gorge, but I’d ruin most of the views I currently have. So for now it’s staying put in Noru. But I left a bit of its pipe on the ground still (right), just to get use to the idea if needed.

Entre Titel Heer

“I can move the Blue Feather to Otaki Gorge, I found out. Amazing! Didn’t think I could fit it like that in another space so easily. Reminds me of the larger vesion of the Edwardston Sta. Gallery, which looked great in both Yeot and Noru, even though it was built for Aotearoa.”

Hucka D.:

You can move it there for a few months, true. How about Baker sim?

bb:

Haven’t been there for a couple of days. Need to write out descriptions of my travels around the area.

Hucka D.:

Research some of the oldbies in the area. Salazar Jack… Headburro Antfarm, and so on.

bb:

But I’m going to give up the property in Baker, Hucka D.

Hucka D.:

Yes. You don’t need it now. You have your escape from Noru. And still you are there a bit as well.

bb:

House Greenup. Great fit (!)

Hucka D.:

That’s 4/10ths of the 10×10 in 2 small galleries now. The remaining 6/10ths are series named for towns within Jasper County, Illinois, and not just outside of the county (Greenup and Oblong in other words). Good you are working on Floydadada now. Keep experimenting with structures in Otaki Gorge, in the skybox. Otaki Gorge is long term. Develop the Sunklands mythology more. Read. You are a Sunklander again. Always were. You synch, you create synchs. You create sinks, then. You sink. Sink into Sunklands.

bb:

OK, I get the picture Hucka D.

Hucka D.:

Thank you.

bb:

Sapphire not around tonight?

Hucka D. (explaining):

Powdering her knees.

bb:

I knew you were going to say that.

Hucka D.:

Oh here she is. She’s finished.

bb:

Hi Sapphire.

Sapphire:

House Greenup is a great idea, baker b. Greenup is where it all started. The Bill. Logically it should be in Otaki Gorge but Noru is fine, especially on that nice perch. Karoz use to sit there and stare out into the Infohub area, after LL came. He missed me.

bb:

Hmmmm… were you… well, better not ask that.

Sapphire:

Dead? Yes. LL killed Sapphire. I was Lapis and Lazuli, then, but that… (pause)

bb:

Sapphire? (pause)

About

Heading north from Otaki Gorge, past the ever empty Aotearoa sink. But that’s good!

Interesting rock formations in Ghamb. We’re probably already out of Sunklands proper, or in the very northeast corner at best.

More builds owned by the same group that own the rocks: Voices in the Dark. It’s a pretty impressive holding, with lots of nooks and crannies to explore.

Then I found their main skybox dotted w/little houses on a multi-tiered grass platform. I’m not the skybox type, really — prefer to be on the ground — but this is kind of cool, and certainly worth a rental experience for those of a different bend.

Then it’s on to Sansara, and a shot of an interesting store in Muir just above Baker.

And while I’m on the subject, I think as of today I’ve decided to not renew my rent in Baker. I’m going to stay in Otaki Gorge instead, and try some totally new build soon.

Another Sansara beauty spot, in Gerstle. Love the island effect. This is called Gerstle Bay Gardens, and I remember it from my young days in SL, when Sansara was more a hiking focus. Nice to see some things stay the same over the years.

Reenter The Tile

“Hold on, I gotta make some more coffee.”

Hucka D.:

Don’t you just love live blogs, pheh.

Sapphire:

I haven’t slept a wink all day. How long will this take tonight?

Hucka D.:

Why don’t you go home and get some rest. I can handle Mr. b. tonight, Sapphire.

Sapphire:

Thank you. Much appreciated.

Hucka D.:

Just waiting, not watching you get your coffee ready, baker the b.

bb:

Sorry.

*****

bb:

I hate when I run out of cocoa, Hucka D.

Hucka D.:

I hated it when Cocoa ran out on me. She was the best thing since Hurla.

bb:

O-K.

Hucka D.:

Sorry, in turn.

bb:

I complete a synch, then I am able to own a whole sink. Curious, Hucka D.

Hucka D.:

Yes. SoSo in the middle. Last addition, besides the bit o’ tube. You can move the whole Blue Feather Gallery inside if you wish. Fantastical.

bb:

Museum of Jeogeot (pondering a rename).

Hucka D.:

Peter would rather you just keep SoSo there for a while.

bb:

Peter changed from Good to SoSo in the transition from Norum to Otaki Gorge.

Hucka D.:

Correct. Soso… Solo.

bb:

And he brought The Rock with him, penned up in that 32 sq meter parcel. Railed up, I mean.

Hucka D.:

Peter was the candidate chosen. Bold that.

bb:

Like Jack in LOST, as we just rewatched tonight.

Hucka D.:

Very much like that.

bb:

Who offered him the job… me?

Hucka D.:

Yes. Baker Bloch, if you will.

bb:

There was… sorry.

Hucka D.:

There was a knowledge of a limit to Dark Side of the Rainbow, and the solidification, like an established orbit, of your level 2 around *the* level 1. This is SID(‘s 1st Oz). 3 candidates were selected around… actually 4. 4 candidates. Maybe more. But Peter was chosen, or chose himself.

bb:

Like Jack again.

Hucka D.:

Yes.

bb:

So what’s the parallel to protecting the LOST island, Hucka D.?

Hucka D.:

Protecting Sunklands, of course.

bb:

Reenter the TILE, Hucka D. (pause) But what I was going to say is that Peter *created* Sunklands, as a solution to a problem already present.

Hucka D.:

Jack chose to die; Peter chose to die.

bb:

There’s a bit of water at the bottom of the Otaki Gorge sink, Hucka D. Lost Spring?

Hucka D.:

Plug it up and see what happens. The Rock plugs, The Rock solves a problem.

Shefiguresin

“I think I’m going to give the “Jeogeot” exhibit one more month and take the whole thing down. It’s not a permanent exhibit[ after all].”

Hucka D.:

No. But you can recombine art from it into other exhibits. Sunklands exhibit, perhaps.

bb:

I must focus now on Sunklands.

Hucka D.:

Yes. Good (pause) Good that you went to the Being place again tonight. Oh, that wasn’t you.

bb:

No. We or he talked of Billfork and the story of how Lemon brought The Bill to Our Second Lyfe to end the reign of Pynk Floid.

Hucka D.:

That’s very correct. And it happened in the middle of Otaki Gorge[ ta boot].

bb:

And how Marty didn’t really agree.

Hucka D.:

He agreed as a Beetle, though. He agreed because it was a joint decision. The Bill must be brought in. To help preserve. The Beetles use their far and yd influence to set this up.

bb:

And Karoz was called in to facet the pink or fuchsia diamond. A tiler he was. Was that your line?

Hucka D.:

Not now. A tiler he was.

bb:

1st Tilest?

Hucka D.:

*Yes.*

bb:

And Peter was there as well. Peter the SoSo.

Hucka D.:

Of course. He was the candidate chosen[ after all].

bb:

What is the role of the 6 sinks with each other? Was Otaki the first?

Hucka D.:

Yes. A small or smaller one to begin. One you could grasp all the way around. A flood coming. Cement cork. Bottled up. Stick a plug in the sink to begin. Flood coming.

bb:

How about Aotearoa (just across the street)?

Hucka D.:

Later. A confusion was set up about the actual site of Peter’s Grave, not to be confused this time with Peter Graves. Pietmond slowly formed. The village was above the sink this time instead of in the sink. The power of the plug was forgotten.

*****

bb:

2 collages regarding sinks in the 10×10, Hucka D. (pause) I’m going to have to go back and read the interpretations to those things. (Wheeler-Jasper collages)

Hucka D.:

You should. Parts 12 and 13, isn’t it? Baker’s Dozen?

bb:

Well… what of the other sinks? Big Sink, Second Sink, Blackmount, Lill Burn Valley?

Hucka D.:

All were formed after Otaki Gorge and even Aotearoa. Oolamoo/Drews and Lill Burn were last. Bookends[ to Sunklands]. Big Sink was the 3rd. That was a big project.

bb:

What of Blackmount.

Hucka D.:

Special. You need to reexamine all the names involved again. Sunklands is your special place in SL. Not Norum. Peter went from Norum to Sunklands to escape the harmful effects of the LL grid coming. Sapphire didn’t pull out in time. But she became LL still. Split. Like Aotearoa.

bb:

Hmmm… so Karoz moved to Sunklands with Peter… from Norum?

Hucka D.:

Yes.

bb:

Who made Peter a candidate again? Baker Bloch?

Hucka D.:

The Ancients, yes. Baker Bloch was the last in the pod.

bb:

Baker Bloch is St. Nick of Barkley?

Hucka D.:

(pause) Yes.

bb:

How are the Slippermen the same as the Glopmen from Ladyslipper in Sharon, Hucka D.?

Hucka D.:

Ensoulment. Toy avatars. It begins.

bb:

Tronesis influence[, then].

Hucka D.:

Yes. Brother John. Number Nine. Lamb. Ram absorbed into Lamb. In the center, the middle. Put a plug in it.

bb:

I’m still not quite understanding. I get more bits and pieces during our nightly talks but I’m not sure it will ever Come Together.

Hucka D.:

Don’t you want it to?

bb:

Yes. (pause) Of course.

Hucka D.:

Then it will. Start with Notebook I. Start at the beginning. Baker Bloch wrote that. St. Nick of Barkley wrote that. Then he wrote a sequel: about Sharon. Not Sharon Stone, but she figures in.

shefiguresin02

“Maybe The Ancients are just metaphors for the other regions of Wazob who wanted Sharon to join them as the “last p in the pod,” Hucka D.”

Hucka D.:

I don’t like talking about Mythos too much, baker b. And goodnight to you!

Sapphire:

Gurglegurglegurgle.

Hucka D.:

You caught Sapphire gargling before bedtime. Keep’n it clean with listerine.

bb:

Sorry.

Hucka D.:

She went back to bed.

bb:

I’m going to really get inside Sunklands this time, Hucka D. What’s left of it. A trip back to Blackmount is in order very soon. Perhaps tonight?

Hucka D.:

Damaged goods. You know that the peak… peek… dangit, peak, of Your Second Lyfe is Sunklands, but not this one. The Sunklands of 2009-2010 winter. Now you begin to withdrawal.

bb:

Do I begin to replace My Second Lyfe with another “second life”, another virtual reality perhaps? (pause) How can I find the equivalent to a Sunklands that easily?

Hucka D.:

You can’t. We — they — brought you back for a reason.

bb:

The Bill.

Hucka D.:

Yes.

bb:

I attempted to move House Greenup to Otaki Gorge last night, but it didn’t quite seem to fit. Seems like Noru may be the best place for that particular mini-gallery.

Hucka D.:

Keep adjusting… fine tuning. A whole new block of information is coming up. Prims… tiles. This is about getting maximum value out of what you have.

bb:

Delphic Archipelago… I think that was another peak. Esbum was never the same after its erasure. Esbum is me[ in a way].

Hucka D.:

Yes, Esbum is An Ancient. Afterwards she split into Esb and Um, another set of unlikely twins.

bb:

They’re both the same length. Er, 105 millimeters. (pause) Will more spirits show up soon, Hucka D.?

Hucka D.:

Yes.

bb:

I can’t remember talking to anyone recently except for you and Sapphire.

Hucka D.:

No. We need to talk of The Bill. That’s what we call them here, in this blog. I have talked to *them*.

bb:

Interesting. What did they say?

Hucka D.:

They said talk through Bacon. Notice I didn’t say talk *to*.

bb:

I see. Hints. But we probably shouldn’t call him that in this blog. Baken. Best to digest at 10AM.

Hucka D.:

We have our lines mixed up again. Never mind. He is treating you like you are treating Chilbo. With kid’s gloves.

bb:

*You* originally told me to treat them like that, Hucka D.

Hucka D.:

Yes. I did. It doesn’t matter now. All you have in Norum now, really, is House Greenup. And that’s almost as much Parktown as Chilbo. Energy-wise, I mean.

bb:

You have to have a base. I was interested in the fact that House Greenup didn’t quite fit into Otaki Gorge, as I said before.

Hucka D.:

As I said, afterwards, keep experimenting and refining.

bb:

Cool. You mentioned The Bill as well.

*****
bb:

I see Bracket’s little conversation about The Bill and Pynk Floid hasn’t shown up in Google yet, Hucka D.

Hucka D.:

That was a…

bb:

Mistake?

Hucka D.:

Yes. Be careful with Bracket. Don’t want him to go the way of Esbum (!)

bb:

I see. (pause) Maybe it won’t show up anyway.

Hucka D.:

It will.

bb:

Well… it’s in Floydada anyway.

Hucka D.:

So to The Bill.

(to be continued?)

Otaki sink shuffle

New sidewalk in Otaki Gorge, connecting SoSo and House Greenup galleries. Oh, I’ve moved House Greenup to Otaki Gorge as of today. Can’t keep up with the shuffle? Me neither. But I think HG belongs in Otaki Gorge. And then I moved Gallery 9 across the lot from House Greenup, essentially directly south of its old location. So that’s 40, now, of the 100 collages of the 10×10 on the property, w/ 20 (Oblong series) in SoSo and 20 (Greenup series) in House Greenup. What of the other 60? Still have no long term plan for bringing those to Otaki Gorge; the entire 10×10 is still housed in the Edwardston Station Gallery in Rubi.

View of the two newly placed structures from the Home o’ Fibs porch, across the top of SoSo once more.

View from top floor of Gallery 9 in its new location.

Speaking of Rubi and Heterocera, I gave up my last official Noru plot — the one that, as of now, still has a version of House Greenup on it — in order to buy a 512 in Slosser. Why, Baker, why? Why keep buying land? I hear you saying. We, the other reader or readers, simply can’t keep up with all this shuffling. I’ll just leave you with a picture for now and explain later, if I can. That’s *official Linden water* now at 50 meters high, keep in mind. 🙂

Slosser could be a nice new base for exploring Heterocera, close to Rubi but not too close.

Enter Bracket’s Actions

You SEE (!) I’m going to have to — call a family meeting to talk about Bracket’s actions.

bb:

It wasn’t that bad, it doesn’t seem.

Hucka D. (obviously still upset):

Sapphire! Oh, she’s not around tonight.

bb:

Do you want me to split into Baker Bloch and Baker Blinker for this?

Hucka D.:

I tell you what, I’m going to bring in Peter for this one. Then you’ll see. Peter!

bb:

Hmmm…

Peter:

Oh. Erm.

bb:

I can’t even load up the webpage to recheck, Hucka D.

Peter:

Ah. Iiiiiiii…

Hucka D.:

OK, Peter’s not quite ready yet. So, it’s just you and me. I’ll have to take it out on you personally, baker b. Don’t take it too personally.

bb:

OK, shoot.

Hucka D.:

I won’t take it that far.

bb:

I own in Slosser now.

Hucka D.:

I don’t give a f— about Slosser tonight, baker b.

bb:

Oooo…

Hucka D.:

I’m *serious*. Look at what Bracket has done… undone. 5 years of hard work.

bb:

I don’t really see the harm. He was just spouting off some *nonsense*. It is nonsense, isn’t it?

Hucka D.:

OK, here she is.

Sapphire:

Oh, what’d you do to him baker b.? (slight laugh)

bb:

Bracket went to this circle chat where they log in all your conversations and said some stuff that maybe he shouldn’t have said. About The Bill.

Sapphire:

Where’s the “stuff”?

bb:

Lemme try again to pull it up. (pause) No, it’s not working now.

Sapphire:

Well, *that* might be good.

bb:

Switching to another subject perhaps, I’ve heard that you may be going away from us, Sapphire.

Sapphire:

Probably not.

bb”

Connected to my totally leaving Noru now?

Sapphire:

(pause) Yes. (pause) And the finishing of Carrcass-4. (pause) And the move to Otaki Gorge and also Slosser.

Hucka D.:

I’m back. Sorry I got so huffy. And it was *me* that broke that link. See what I can do, baker b.?

bb:

You know, that’s one of those things I half believe from you!

Hucka D.:

It’s true. I shifted time around a bit.

bb:

I went back to Darkside today, speaking of oddities. I heard that *noise* again. 5 times clear now, maybe 6. It seems to happen at regular intervals, maybe about every 12 minutes or so. The last one was noticably fainter than the one before. Otherwise they all sounded exactly the same, and the same as every other time I’ve heard this.

Hucka D.:

I can’t really speak about that.

bb:

It’s always out in the middle of the woods. But not any certain woods, or even any specific city. But it’s always in the woods.

Hucka D.:

Nope, can’t say anything.

bb:

Is Sapphire really going away?

Hucka D.:

Lister baker b., we have a lot of work to do. I’m going to have to muzzle Bracket in some way.

bb:

It’s just like Esbum.

Hucka D.:

No, not quite. Not *yet*. Let’s start a campaign. The “Save Bracket” campaign. Can you do that for me?

bb:

I suppose.

Hucka D.:

And that’s it for tonight. Apologies again for taking this out so much on you. No, Sapphire won’t leave. Goodnight.

bb:

Thanks, Hucka D. I’ll attempt to rein in Bracket a bit.

Hucka D.:

Thanks in turn.

*****

It was subsequently decided that Bracket should be exiled to the Blake Sea region for a period of about 2 weeks to think over what he had done, and to understand that actions do have consequences.

Sloshing in Slosser

Gotta get a name for this small, inland lake which I just probably tripled in size. Can’t wait for it to show up on the terrian view of inworld maps. Much leafy cover within, and also a good amount of small fish, including some angelfish. No fishing allowed, though. Just tubing as legal recreation.

But what fun with only that one option!

I didn’t really plan it like this, but turns out my new Slosser parcel is a sort of twin to a near neighbor, whose land and similar Linden pool of water has already been described in this blog here. Mine is to the left, and dominated by palms. The neighbor’s smaller pool, just visible in the photo to the right, similarly lies within a dense grove of trees, but cypresses in that case, and with a considerably larger and also nicer house on the land, just to the north of their particular pool as well.*

Baker Bloch sits on Mt. Pond in the Tethea sim and considers restarting an investigation of the Pond District he’s perched near the heart of. Could Slosser also be considered a part of this district now, even though it is a considerable number of sims to the southeast? Should the concept of a Pond District be expanded to include all higher water level sims indicated on this map from June?

*****

* 09/22/10 update: Now the relationship has shown up on the terrain maps (!) I call the 2 official Linden pools under discussion, lyrically enough, Ourin and Yurin. Again, mine (Ourin) is to the left.

Floyd*d*, 01

Going to attempt to give the “spirits” a break tonight and just talk as baker b., to “myself”. We’ll see how far I can take it.

Hucka D.:

Hi.

bb:

Darnit!

Hucka D.:

Yes. Well hellow to you too.

Sapphire:

Hi.

Torsit:

Hello.

bb:

Torsit?

Hucka D.:

From behind enemy lines. Don’t turn your back on him!

bb:

That doesn’t make…

Torsit:

Hellu. Welcome me into your kitchen.

bb:

OK, you’re welcome.

Torsit:

Knife?

Hucka D.:

*No*, Torsit. No knives. We discussed this.

Torsit:

Torsit sorry.

Sapphire:

So what are you up to tonight, baker Beach?

bb:

I was just sloshing around Slosser a bit.

Hucka D.:

We better move pretty far away from the kitchen.

bb:

We’re not… never mind. OK, we’re far away, Hucka D.

Hucka D.:

Thank Dog.

Sapphire:

It’s The Moon. Sapphire Moon.

bb:

I see.

Hucka D.:

Torsit must rest now. He’s going to rehab tomorrow.

bb:

Does he have a drinking problem? I don’t know why I keep asking these things.

Hucka D.:

Killing problem. Mainly ants but sometimes larger. Like…

bb:

People?

Hucka D.:

Not often. Just keep the kitchens far away.

bb:

Oh we have, Hucka D. We’re far, far away now. But anyways he’s gone. Right?

Torsit:

Right.

Hucka D.:

Yes. Gone.

Sapphire:

Moon.

bb:

Anything else?

Hucka D.:

Not really. Did you move House Greenup to Otaki Gorge? I know you did. Is it still there? As of 5 minutes ago?

bb:

Yes, Hucka D.

Hucka D.:

Bracket wishes to have a copy of Floydada to read while he’s in exile. He hasn’t even left that island since you put him on it night before last.

Torsit:

Torsit will visit. Torsit will visit Bracket. Give him book. Floydodo.

Hucka D. (correcting):

Floydada.

bb:

But not Floydadada, Torsit. That came later.

Hucka D.:

Lies. Fabrics and lies.

Torsit:

Torsit wishes to read too.

bb:

Torsit, I thought you had a big day tomorrow.

Hucka D.:

He just wants to kill Bracket because he can get away with it, because he’s all alone on that island in the middle of nowhere. But then *we’ll* know, Torsit.

Torsit:

Torsit is bad to bone. Torsit will educate herself. Read.

bb:

You don’t look much like a woman, Torsit.

Hucka D.:

He’s neither. And both. And I think it’s a good idea that she reads Floy*dodo*. We can do that, can’t we baker b.

bb:

Um, yes. But not Floydada. (quickly) Or Floydadada.

Hucka D.:

Yes. Like I said before, Floy*dodo*.

Torsit (repeating):

Floydodo. Yes. Read. Floydodo. After Bracket reads, though. I will watch him read. I will not kill; I will be silent. Then I will kindly take the book from him and read it myself and then return here. To the kitchens.

Hucka D.:

Give him the book, baker b.

bb:

How?

Hucka D.:

Just email it to him — how do I know?

bb( to Torsit):

Torsit, did you just get the book I sent to you? In the email? Through, er, my head?

Torsit:

Torsit check. (pause) Torsit not find in own mind. Can you resend?

Hucka D.:

Nevermind, here’s a hardcopy. (Hucka D. hands Torsit a hardcopy of Floydodo found in handy kitchen cabinet.)

bb:

I’m afraid to ask where…

Hucka D. (to baker b.):

You wanna know what’s in it, don’t you?

bb:

Curious, admittedly. It’s a handsomely bound book. Green marbling. Much better than Floyd… the other book we talked about.

Hucka D.:

Why don’t you open it up and read the first page. You don’t mind Torsit, do you?

Torsit (handing book to bb):

No. If I can get back in time for tomorrow.

(baker b. takes book and opens it to the first page. Floydodo. Handsome lettering. Victorian. He turns the page and reads the first sentence of Chapter 1: “Going to attempt to give the ‘spirits’ a break tonight and just talk as baker b., to ‘myself'”.)

Hucka D.:

Bye!

Enjoying and Not Enjoying…

Bracket pauses in reading Floydodo to check out what Torsit has just pulled out of his knapsack.

TILEpire?

“You’re right, he’s dead.”

bb:

But he’ll come back, perhaps. Probably. Most likely. Maybe the 1st TILEpire.

Hucka D.:

We’ll see. Torsit did his job well.

bb:

He’ll rise again, mark my word. I’m not sure how but he will. Perhaps as an Obi Wan Kenobi type ghost.

Hucka D.:

He had to die. He was the last Dodo. Floydodo, the final of its kind. A terminus.

bb:

Check this out, Hucka D.: TILE

That’s the wrong picture [Slosser image] but I guess it will do.

Hucka D.:

Here’s the right image.

bb:

Didn’t know you could do that.

Hucka D.:

So… TILEpire. Sure you want to do that?

bb:

The logistics don’t work out, but when has that stopped me… us. He would have to be bitten to death instead of stabbed.

Hucka D.:

A new type of vampire. TILEpire. Doesn’t need to be bitten to become one. Instead… stabbed with a special, special knife. A prop from the original Psycho movie. Very powerful. Remember how Marion Crane came back as her sister in that movie. But it was the same person… you have to be observant.

bb;

The two were played by different actresses, though.

Hucka D.:

Well, your Psychogumma proves this wrong. They were the same. It was Marion reborn.

bb:

Hmmmm… So Torsit is like Norman Bates.

Hucka D.:

Bracket wanted this as much as anyone. We all agreed it had to happen. We’re just working out what comes next… we hadn’t, collectively, planned all that out. We just knew Bracket had to die, and to be stabbed. Stabbed and die.

bb;

Yes, I see that. The small island he is — was on is like Maritius, former home of the dodo before it too became extinct and ceased to exist. Tortis had to kill him as he sat there reading Floydodo. It was an act that had to be acted out. But, Hucka D., I think it brings into question the nature of actors and roles in the first place. If Marion is involved. South equals absorption into the character — can’t get out. North equates with ascension out of the character and back into the real world. Something like an avatar in that way, too, come to think of it.

Hucka D.:

This isn’t and should not be like Esbum. This is not a permanent death — doesn’t have to be. Yes, this was more staged.

bb:

A King. Exiled to an isolated island. *And*, the same island, perhaps, as where Baker Bloch found the portal. Long Island Sound, I believe.

Hucka D.:

You stabbed Slosser tonight.

bb:

Yes. I guess I did.

Hucka D.:

The parcel was completely full. Did its bit. Just like Bracket. Full.

bb:

I’m going to have to look back and trace his short history, Hucka D. I think I should do that, since I — we — killed him. Owe that to him.

Hucka D.:

He may come back as a board spirit[ like Hucka D. himself].

bb:

That would be interesting. (pause)

Hucka D.:

Yes. (pause)

(both wait)

Hucka D.:

But maybe not.

bb (quickly):

Nah.

Return to Darkside

Some early Fall shots of Darkside. Incredibly warm here for late September. Close if not at 80 degrees today at home.

Darkside is a blog category, and these particular pictures mostly supplement those I’ve already taken, like this one below of the top of Hobbit Rock, looking from the east.

Foliage still barely turning.

Passage through rocks near Hobbit Rock.

Large rock marking the East Wall of the Darkside mini-bowl. Interesting tracks around it. Bear? Trash near the north lip of Darkside also adds support for nearby bear habitation. I doubt that there are any bears in Darkside itself.

Fairly interesting shot of a side of the fabulous Temple of The Moon from the east.

I’ll attempt to take more pictures of Darkside later this Fall, perhaps even providing a map. I’ve certainly had a fun packed 2 days of hiking so far on Beach Mountain, but if I had my druthers I’d have taken my Fall vacation days in mid to late October instead of now. Tough to take decent shots of Darkside with so many leaves still on the trees. On the other hand, it was *really* nice weather up there yesterday and today.

Let’s tile 1 on.

Great two days of hiking on my vacation so far, both on Beach Mtn. Hiking will continue tomorrow, but more locally. Want to return to Whitehead Crossing, but there’s another story to that. The Michael Story.

Bracket Jupiter, a former King of Comma Islands, is dead. But will be resurrected — as something. Coincidentally, The Bakers of England have also left the company of The King and Queen in Wiltshire County, since the crop circle season is over. I’ll have more to say about that when I have a chance to read the opinion of others on the 2010 season.

I’m still loving Otaki Gorge, but for how long will I stay there? Will the Blue Feather Gallery be moved to the sink? Staying in the Chilbo region is not an option now.

Or will the Blue Feather just go away? Will I downsize in SL and get rid of my own, personal sink in the near future? Depends on the continued strength of the Sunklands idea.

I don’t see the end of the blog coming up, but I see an end to mainland SL. Shifts will be made to other grids — other “mainland” perhaps. Need to study up on the philosophy of mainlanders as compared to estate owners. How does a Chilboan or a Parktowner or a Sterberginite think differently from an isolated island owner? And what of the relative disappearance of sub-continents in SL, like Azure Island #1 or Otherland #1? Or even Big Island for that matter? It doesn’t look very good; Sunklands is really all I have, unless I can make a renewed stake on Heterocera, which is doubtful (?) Or maybe even Sansara.

Why stay in Sunklands when it is so deenergized?

Because I still need it for storytelling. I need to know why Peter, whose burial mound appears to be in the middle of my Otaki Gorge land, after all, was the candidate chosen to lead the Sunklands Initiative. I need to know the relationship of Peter to TILE. I need to understand the connection between SL avatars and toy avatars from Frank and Herman Park in the real world. I need to understand better the writings of St. Nick of Barkley, who may be the patron saint of Big Sink (St. Lemon of Troy is saint of Sunklands as a whole?).

I am writing history. The current condition of Sunklands doesn’t matter as much as what was there in the past. The Sunklands Initiative was there. Little Robert Plant Variant was there; Marty was there. Peter who is a variant Peter Gabriel of Genesis was there.

I think the Initiative all started on my Otaki Gorge property now. Lemon, who is, in turn, a variant John Lennon, called in The Bill, against the protests of Marty (variant Paul McCartney). The Residents of First Life became the residents of Second Life. Revealment of the 2 games of Trivia Ratsuit already played, one to squelch a corrupted “Second Life” path emerging at the end of the Roman Empire, and another to jumpstart virtual reality and Second Life in 19–, let’s see, 1985.

Robert Plant Variant had to be purified of outside influence before he could enter the heart of Sunklands and be initiated into the Initiative there. He then knew of Joplin, Arkansas and the missing Joplin Ball of the Temple of TILE.

My first Sunklands story was mainly about Plant and Marty and how they had to learn to cooperate to make the Initiative a success in 2009. Peculiarly, this phase of the story continued after Plant and Marty had essentially left this blog, their job completed in the Initiative. Perhaps this is because it wasn’t *really* finished, and more work had to be done. Or maybe Peter was really behind this.

Hucka D. recently said that Peter was not ready to speak on this blog as himself. Curious. I need a pep talk.

Hucka D.:

Peter is here. He’s ready.

bb:

Oh hi Hucka D. That’s great news. What of Sapphire? Has she gone the way of Marty and Plant before her?

Hucka D.:

Yes. We need to start speaking to Peter directly. This is a new direction.

Peter:

Hello.

bb:

Hi. Pleasure to be speaking with you tonight, Peter. But we’ve spoken before, haven’t we?

Peter:

No. US.

bb:

(pause) Are you a collective?

Peter:

US.

[long pause]

bb:

How did Lemon attract The Bill to Second Life and Sunklands, Peter?

[no answer]

Hucka D.:

I guess that’s it for Peter tonight.

bb:

I didn’t really understand it.

Hucka D.:

Well. Let’s then look at the Bracket Jupiter situation.

bb:

Can we?

Hucka D.:

Bracket talked about this very subject, and it got him killed. Peter is wise to answer in short.

bb:

Let me venture a guess. They had to make a 4th. Where is the 4th?, you’re always asking.

Hucka D.:

That’s TILE.

Wiltshire (RL UK County)

Tonight the wife and I were watching the 3rd episode of Season 3 of Jam and Jerusalem (stateside: Clatterford), and I noticed that two of the locations mentioned in the show were homes of 2 famous Wiltshire white horses, namely Westbury and Pewsey. In the episode, called “Dinner Party”, a train carrying most members of the aforementioned party was stalled by floods in Wiltshire. At first, the host of the party was rung up to say that their train was in Westbury, then a second ring up gave news that their train had actually moved backwards to Pewsey.

Both of these locations are also mentioned in this March blog post concerning white horses. The Westbury horse is actually a part of the alignment weirdness described therein. The Pewsey horse, one of only a few horses left out of these alignments, is still shown in the map at the end of the post.

Purposeful nod by Jam and Jerusalem to the famous white horses? Might be. I’m researching Jennifer Saunders, who both co-wrote Jam and Jerusalem (and thus “Dinner Party”), and also starred in this particular episode as the host of the dinner party in question, and also the wife of the man who kept ringing her up about the train progress through Wiltshire. Saunders is probably most famous for her portrayal of Edina Monsoon in Absolutely Fabulous, and is also well known as half of the French and Saunders comedy team. Dawn French also stars in Jam and Jerusalem, and both French and Saunders have expanded roles in “Dinner Party”.

I basically only mention this because Wiltshire was brought up in my post from last night (immediately below), stating that The Bakers have left the company of The King and Queen in that county now that the 2010 UK crop circle season is apparently over. The King and Queen’s house in Rockley is very near another white horse at Hackpen Hill.

Instead of creating another new post tonight I’ll just chat with Hucka D., if he wishes, in this one. “Hucka D.?”

Hucka D.:

Train. Stall. Flood. Wiltshire. Pewsey, Westbury. White. Horses. All white horses are one white horses. Horse. Golden Horse. Eye eye. There was something in Wiltshire that the host of the party should have been aware of. White Horses. One. Eye. Opening. Closing.

underwater3hsmall.jpg

bb:

Hmmm… that’s from a very old post of this blog about an eye found in the northeast corner of the Rodeo sim, even before Baker Bloch was born in this Second World. Let me find the post in question. (pause) Oh here it is — you left it open for me (!)

hidalgoeye02small.jpg

Hucka D.:

Your wife Edna thinks that you shouldn’t talk to me as much as you do, and that you should go back on your medication.

bb:

*You* are my medicine (smiles).

Hucka D.:

Right-o. So… you understand…

bb:

I understand that I may have to stay in Baker, Hucka D. Here’s a picture of what I created tonight there.

The Edwardston Station Gallery, larger version, seems to work quite well there. *But*, if I do stay in Baker, I’m going to have to downsize elsewhere. And that means Otaki Gorge, since that’s the only place I have to downsize from now.

Hucka D.:

I never liked you leaving the ESG behind, baker b. That is most closely identified with you as Baker. That is where you are *from*. The Blue Feather is an extension beyond yourself in an attempt to contact others. You need both: you need to be constantly reminded of where you come from and also where you are going. You need both past and future converged in the present.

bb:

Thanks, Hucka D. What of Wiltshire and The King and The Queen? The Queen and The King as well?

Hucka D.:

The season is over. There was a place of ultimate contact but only in the future will the past be revealed. You also had several communications from The Queen/King in Second Life.

bb:

Yes, the key hole shaped crop circle in Wiltshire, obviously, but also another Wiltshire crop circle that appeared to form a hole between 2 parts of Second Life or Second World, or between Magicland of the Bracket sim of Comma Islands and, on the other side, Ratcliff of Heterocera. That is a strong remainder of the grid before the Linden Lab grid. Reminder. Mickey’s hole, a mouse hole but perhaps also one for a rat. A particular Rat. Map Rat.

Hucka D.:

Map Rat, yes. Gang of Willard. Gang of One.

bb:

The Bill again, then.

Hucka D.:

Yes. (pause) Careful.

bb:

What of Bracket Jupiter, then?

Hucka D.:

He figured this[ part] out. He let the LL grid pass through Comma Islands but got rewarded in the process. Rat Hole. Mouse Hole/Rat Hole. Gang. Willard.

Marion Crane resurrected after her shower stabbing as doppleganger (“sister”) Lila Crane in Psychogumma (2000)

Reenter The Labyrinth

Otaki Gorge seems to react to recent progress made in Baker sim (addition of Edwardston Station Gallery there) with counterpunch: a central “Labyrinth Lake” at the very bottom of the sink, courtesy of Baker Blinker.

More soon. The No Room cemetery is still intact, although completely engulfed by water now. You can still see the tombstones through the transparency, some of which poke above the glowing surface a bit.

Original story on Baker Blinker’s labyrinth here:

http://bakerblinker.wordpress.com/2008/04/04/labyrinth/

Baker Blinker then visits Baker Bloch’s newly placed Edwardston Station Gallery in the Baker sim, and thinks to herself, “I can’t let Baker delete this again. It’s perfect here.” But we’ll see.

*****

I don’t think this warrents a new post, so I thought I’d stick it here. New place in Craggen Maw, a 512 again. This is near the center of my precious Big Sink, so pretty in the past and not so pretty presently (but still with its spots).

I have a decision to make between abandoning 1/2 of my Otaki Gorge property or giving up the rental in the Baker sim soon. Right now, I’m leaning toward the latter (yes, it seems to change hourly), and I think yet another (small) property purchase could be in the works soon.

Thoughts…

Upon further experimenting with the idea, I don’t think the Blue Feather Gallery should be transferred to Otaki Gorge. It *almost* fits but not quite. Oh, I could make it fit, but that would be kind of forcing the issue a bit, which goes against my intended style. I believe that the Blue Feather will always be linked with Noru and, moreover, Norum. Right now, it’s still there, and could be for at least another month and perhaps beyond. This is much like the Temple of TILE just has to be located in Rubi and nowhere else, or at least that particular version of a temple. The Blue Feather is just on a larger scale than the Rubi project. Each are fulfilled now, I guess, structure and location both.

Blue Feather Galley is to Noru
as
Temple of TILE is to Rubi

Fulfilled in a structural/landscaping way.

And on a more minor note, I also believe — just thought of this — that the Edwardston Station Gallery, larger version, represents a fulfillment of my involvement with the Baker sim, which I’ll most likely leave in about 12 days. As Baker Blinker recently said, it seems perfect there, but I can’t keep it up in this case. And I still have the smaller, cube version of this gallery with the 100 inclusive collages (the definition of an ESG is a venue for the “art 10×10”). Not saying there’s not yet another ESG coming up in the future — that’s one way I can develop further in SL — but for this particular version that could be it.

Now to what I *will* keep, as I’m seeing it now. Otaki Gorge. I have to follow where it is taking me, and it’s not through with that task yet. I have to walk the labyrinth; I have to think more of Peter and the secret initiative that this sink/gorge was connected with, perhaps at its heart (or one heart or center). One problem is that Sunklands is so relatively de-energized even in comparison to this past winter. I need additional exploring options, and I think a solution is to focus on Heterocera, at least for a while. A somewhat new mythology angle may be developing in Slosser, as a kind of 2nd, minor Pond District. Very small, but still present. And as I’m learning, Heterocera has a considerably richer body of writing attached to it from which to draw on. Outside of Chilbo (and to a degree now, Parktown), comparatively little has been noted about Jeogeot outside this blog and also ujiyasu’s excellent review of the continent. Now, Hucka D. has indicated on several occasions that Jeogeot is actually the crown jewel of the Linden land masses, but flawed or *rifted*. Sapphire seems to back him up on this. But Heterocera is comparatively undamaged and symmetrically more perfect, although a smaller scale project.

Something happened when Jeogeot “rounded the Korean Channel”. It’s one of my responsibilities to dig deeper into that mystery.

I had much more to say when I logged onto the blog tonight. I wanted to talk more about Sunklands and a secret agenda attached to that fallen but still highly potentialized area. That new labyrinth “lake” in the center of my sink holds a key.

What of Bracket Jupiter? Has he been resurrected yet? Perhaps in Slosser, on the new property (?)

Hucka D.:

He has been ressurected. Thank you for building the labyrinth to help with this.

bb:

Hi Hucka D. The labyrinth regenerated?

Hucka D.:

Yes. (pause) Peter can still not speak tonight. Sapphire isn’t available.

bb:

Just you and me, then.

Hucka D.:

Yes. The Slosser weapon was turned against itself (pause).

bb:

Inverted?

Hucka D.:

What was once 8-5-6-7 has now become 4-1-2-3.

bb:

Labyrinth, then. The effects thereof. Cool-ie.

Hucka D.:

TILE is extremely important but still just an outer layer of a 2 layered thing-ie. “Where is the 4th?” That’s why Lemon… (pause).

bb:

The Bill.

Hucka D.:

Yes.

bb:

(pause) Flooding of the No Room cemetery by this Labyrinth Lake, outer and inner at once.

Hucka D.:

Two perpetual waterfalls fitted one into another. Figure 8. Mobius.

bb:

26 and 10.

Hucka D.:

36, yes.

bb:

In the Booker T. Archive, these were called the Realm of Letters and the Realm of Numbers. The Realm of Letters was colored the 4 colors of TILE. The Realm of Numbers remained uncolored in that schema.

Hucka D.:

3 corruptions… am I taking your lines again?

bb:

T’is OK. Then 3 corruptions away from perfection to form the 2 layers, totaling 36. All this in a product thought totally fluffy and valueless called Dark Side of the Rainbow.

Hucka D.:

And the other. Sphere.

bb:

Brainard head, then.

Hucka D.:

Yes. Ray.

bb:

Weather controller. End of nudie days.

Hucka D.:

End. So much.

Out and…

Abandoned temple on the west edge of Second Sink or Oolamoo/Drews Sink (take your pick). This has been here quite a while, at least a year I think.

The Drews side of 2nd Sink still has available rentals, just like before, but seems a bit more settled in than previously. However, as I’ve indicated, the really nice and long established Roseheart development in the Oolamoo half of the sink is now no more. Although this sim sized piece of land has been sold in the meantime, Oolamoo remains empty as of this writing.

Then it’s on to Heterocera, where Biking Biker looks back on his Slosser owned objects poking above the landscape a bit (palm trees, Slum apts.).

Moving quickly back to Jeogeot and the Kingdom of Zor, taking up almost all the land of Hillhurst. Zor is a welcome new addition to Jeogeot, and represents an impressive array of towers, ramps, and buildings, combined with great views.

Medieval style bar on the property. I may have more to write about Zor soon.

Oh, and yet another purchase quite near Zor, on the outskirts of Sternberg. Kind of excited about it, although it’s only a 512, with probably no chance for expansion.

Turns out Sternberg has a kind of undeveloped underground level to it, as I’ve found out in entering the metropolis from direction of my new house pictured above (east). Interesting Sternberg wall graffiti below; the underground can be entered just beside it.

2010 Circles

http://www.realitysandwich.com/2010_crop_circle_season

Same article featured by another blog:

http://globalwarming-arclein.blogspot.com/2010/09/crop-circle-2010-season.html

Yes I watched the Yahoo News featured video at the time and was upset as well:

http://www.realufos.net/2010/07/yahoo-news-disinfo-on-crop-circles.html

The wikipedia article on cc’s is basically a joke.

So the question becomes not, “Are crop circles real?” as much as, “Why the disinformation campaign?” And if we start with crop circles — what *else* is being campaigned against? What if aspects of “pseudoscience” are actually more real and valid than our legitimatized science? Why do we think that Man is so smart that he’s figured out even a small percentage of what’s really “out there”? Why isn’t the phrase “We don’t know” more common?

It has been forgotten that intelligence which forsakes emotion and common sense is often groundless, sometimes dangerously so. To keep going down the path of science *in and of itself*, without a parallel development of empathy for what is being studied, is to enter a Chinese finger trap situation.

I know, W. was an easy target. 🙂

Is religion any better in and of itself, *without* scientific method? Probably not. And what about the “useless” or non-utilitarian Arts?

The future, if Man has one, is not down one of these paths but all of them (and more) *at once*. The blend starts with an individual or group on one path saying “I don’t know”, and then looking around for another on a different path for a possible new angle on the situation.

We as scientists, artists, worshipers, and more, have to find a way to cooperate with each other. We are one Man on one planet.

Air Arcadia

Not necessarily flying per se, but kind of curious, don’t you think, finding Arcadia’s arcade *floating* above Ratcliff in the middle of the night, EST, after I wrote about just such a “flying vehicle” being in this city here:

http://bakerblinker.wordpress.com/2010/06/12/blue-feather-01/

and here:

http://bakerblinker.wordpress.com/2010/06/11/loose-thoughts-29/

Mickey’s Market mentioned therein is to the right below. Just look for the mouse ears. (or rat ears?)

I must think more about the possible sealing off of the Pond District’s heart from the sea surrounding Heterocera.

Oh, well I suppose I should mention this here. Nah, better not. OK, I will. Very near the arcade, just happen to… no, let’s leave it.

Below is the dry channel that should logically contain a stream draining from the Sesia and Tethea lakes (north) into the ocean (south).

Letterer He 10 It

[joined in progress]

bb:

I think he’s in a hole between Ratcliff and Magicland and can’t get out, Hucka D.

Hucka D.:

Torsit said Slosser before he left…

bb:

For good, perhaps.

Hucka D.:

Knife and tooth inverted… what was that all about? (snickers)

bb:

If it is Slosser, would it be the pool we find him in. Ourin, as opposed to Yurin and Hisin. Hisin’s new.

Hucka D.:

And Therin. Thesin. Whosin.

bb:

Herin. List goes on.

Hucka D.:

Why do you think Corsica and Heterocera seem so connected?

bb:

I guess it could have started in Rubi and the Temple of TILE. Temple of TILE akin to Temple of The Prim. The Rubi Forest connected with the Linden Memorial Park Island forest, the original one first, and then the one in Rookwood. And then the Rookwood-Wales connection through the Jasper [collage] series. I’ll have to look that up tomorrow.

Let me list them out:

Rubi Forest to Corsica Island Forest (now shifted to Rookwood)
Heck’s Canyon from Valley of Nye
Ratcliff (Pond District) to Magicland (Comma Islands)

bb:

I can’t write the list out! Neither could I buy land tonight in SL.

Hucka D.:

We better end, then.

bb:

Oh, never mind, it’s a coding error. It keeps erasing text between the arrows, thinking it is code. I’ll try again (pause to correct list). There, it’s done. I don’t think there’s links like this between Jeogeot and either of these 2 continents.

Hucka D.:

Why?

bb:

Well… I do know that The Bill were in the Valley of Nye, Hucka D. From coast to coast, and this represents US as well. Diamonds. Shine on.

Hucka D.:

*You* were in the Valley of Nye. You have been ever since you started watching Yellow Submarine when you were a kid. You’ve always been there. Pepperland.

bb:

This must be tied into the Greenup series, then. The yellow sub heads to the tunnel with the 3 diamonds representing US. On the way it turns into a boat, or assumes the shape of a boat. LSD.

Hucka D.:

“Picture yourself on a boat in a river. Answering quite slowly. Towering over your head. Fish head. ‘We died, dear.'”

bb:

It’s a great song. Yet another [from the Beatles].

Hucka D.:

Beetles.

bb:

In Dark Side of the Yellow Submarine, where that is playing in the movie is dubbed by the first part of Dark Side of the Moon: “Speak To Me/Breathe.” The music starts again — this is a repeat as the diamond tipped stylus is lowered back onto the record to begin again. Peanut to Diamond.

Hucka D.:

And this repeating happens again much later on. Again, Lemon is involved — see?*

bb:

I’m seeing lots of wormholes (!)

Hucka D.:

You have — had — to return to Sunklands. You must follow this through.

bb:

In a way, The Bill themselves are handing things off to other powers, creative ones.

Hucka D.:

They’re handing them off to you. Send Baker Bloch in. You’ll see.

bb:

Into the Valley of Nye?

Hucka D.:

Heck’s Canyon; Valley of Nye… whatever.

bb:

But the Valley of Nye doesn’t exist any longer, thanks to Bracket and his agreement with the Lindens.

Hucka D.:

Bracket is dead. The valley has opened back up.

bb:

Can I just go to Heck’s Canyon?

Hucka D.:

Anywhere there’s a picture of the Greenup Gill valley, you can enter.

bb:

Then the Valley of Nye is the same as that valley.

[no answer]

Hucka D.:

Why don’t you try. (pause)

bb:

I think I’ll wait. But I believe I get the gist of what you’re saying.

Hucka D.:

You must enter that valley. And then figure the heck how to get out of there. Bees will come. Attack.

bb:

I’ll have to create new wormholes [then]. New, um, wedding style number one records.

Hucka D.:

Lola. (pause) Kola.

bb:

The planets who are now my children will be arranged in their proper orbits around US, the Sun and the Moon.

Hucka D.:

The Sun and The Moon together open wormholes. Oblong (series) is where it really starts cooking. This is the direct, higher octave, in your words, of Greenup. Now you have to deal with the whole Lake District. You simply have to send Baker Bloch there. Or Bracket Jupiter’s death will be in Vain and not Long Island Sound.

bb:

Vein?

Hucka D.:

Bees. Remember The Bees.

* For the record, this is the beginning of the UM part of ESBUM.

Trying out ESG at Otaki Gorge…

This is where it will fit if anywhere on the property.

View from Gallery 9.

View from Labyrinth now underneath gallery toward Peter’s Mound.

I do like the way the new labyrinth fits underneath it. I don’t think it works quite as well here as in the Baker sim where the “official” version currently is. Views aren’t as impressive.*

None of my big structures seem to *quite* fit into the sink. Is it suppose to be more of a natural sink after all?

*****

* 10/1/10: On the other hand, the Otaki Gorge labyrinth won’t fit underneath the Baker version of the ESG, as I’ve found out this morning. Now I’m leaning toward keeping Otaki Gorge… hard to downsize at this point.
