Carr. Talk Again

Carr.:

Wappo Jack was my fiend. Friend. My friend.

Baker B.:

Well, that’s a pretty impressive castle he has there. Takes up a considerable amount of my prims.

Carr. (correcting?):

*My* prims.

Baker B.:

You are ruler of this town. Correct?

Carr.:

Corr. ect.

Baker B.:

What’s your relationship with Wappo Jack?

Carr.:

Friend. Played tennis together. Swam in creek. Leeches. Jack picked them off of me. Friend.

Baker B.:

That’s nice[ I suppose].

Carr.:

Friend.

Baker B.:

And what about Jesus of N. and Piet Mond.

Carr.:

Less friends. More fiends. Jack and I battle. He built his castle to control battles. Grays verses Browns. Slaughter. Then Olive Branch. I be here[ in this diner/museum].

Baker B.:

Are you jealous of Jack for having such a big place?

Carr.:

Palace. (pause)

Baker B.:

Then you are jealous?

Carr.:

No. We live together. Married.

Baker B.:

Err, with Jack?

Carr.:

Yes. (Carrcassonnee attempts a smile)

Baker B.:

Well, that’s wonderful. And you’re…

Carr.:

Yes [we are still married]. (pause) Jack invented Newton and Jasper. You can say they are our children. Hi mom. Hi dad. And so on.

Baker B.:

Is [Jesus of N. your child]?

Carr. (quickly):

No.

Baker B.:

And I [suppose Piet Mond isn’t your child either].

Carr. (again anticipating Baker B.’s question):

No. (pause)

Baker B.:

Carrcassonnee, I attempted to set up a movie theatre in the formerly empty central building of the Crystal Fields. But there isn’t too much to these fields now that more buildings have been inserted.

Carr.:

I wish to see Uncle Meatwad. Show Uncle Meatwad.

Baker B.:

Yes that was my intention. But the file wouldn’t play.

Carr.:

Try harder. Uncle Meatwad.

Baker B.:

Okay I’ll try it again soon.

Carr.:

Tomorrow. I hear you are interviewing Karl Song. He will not enjoy the blog. He thinks you are mad. I am [instead] the mad one (Carr. attempts another smile here).

Baker B.:

This is our second attempt. I’m going to give him a lot of rope this time. I screwed up the last one.

Carr.:

I heard. Sing him a song to soothe. He likes tunes. He is a tale tune spinner too[ like Collagesity resident Joe the Guitarist].

Baker B.:

Quite a mouthful.

Carr.:

I talk to you because you work hard and play harder. I attempt drink. I see double. I see song and tune together. Strummer. Joe. Rock on. Rock the[ Casbah?]. (I believe Carr. attempts to even sing a bit here).

Baker B. (after Carr. finishes “singing”):

Very nice. So we know for sure that’s Wappo Jack’s castle, and maybe his gallery, since it’s Gallery Jack. But it wasn’t named for him originally. Instead it’s…

Carr.:

Don’t say it. Seven eleven.

Baker B.:

Time to go?

Carr.:

Yo.

Afterwards, Baker Bloch watches a short animation in the theatre. He’s getting there(!).

Collagesity Developments 02

(continued from)

Baker Bloch looks out from an opening in the West Tower toward Central Stream’s lower pool and an inhabiting pink crystal cluster. He contemplates taking up painting[ again?].

Snapshot1948_029

An arch of the castle actually projects over top of this pool, connecting West Tower with a kind of separate, smaller tower or a turret-tower: the 7th spire of the castle as I’ve called it before. This particular feature was also found in Rubi’s VWX Town from 2013-2014, where it marked or enclosed the famous 97/97/97 spot of the Great Rubi Forest.

Snapshot1948_037

The ground level of East Tower retains several landscaping elements from the overlaid Crystal Fields, including a brass colored cross and this ring of red mushrooms. The protruding west side of Gallery Jack is to Baker’s right here.

Snapshot1948_042

Baker Bloch heads up the spiraling stairs of East Tower from another West Tower opening. The castle has a rather complex line of walking that connects all of its floors and platforms without the need for flying or teleporting. You didn’t have those, after all, in the olden days of Lemony Goodness.

Snapshot1948_044

The stairs lead to the second level of East Tower. A lantern room with surrounding catwalk tops this tower.

Snapshot1948_048

Another interesting connector: a double arched walkway linking the 2 middle floors of West Tower.

Snapshot1948_050

Top floor of West Tower and 3 of its 6 turrets.

Snapshot1948_059

Looking down the top of the arch from West Tower to the 7th turret-tower projecting from the other side of Lower Pool. Some say this 7th is where Little Wappo Jack was cloistered away as punishment for his infamous Seven Years’ Spending Spree during ages 5 through 12, squandering the family fortune.

And as I’m reminded in looking at this December 2013 post…

https://bakerbloch.wordpress.com/2013/11/25/the-return-of-edwardston-resident/

… VWX Town’s Edwardston Resident also disappeared within this same place for a spell before his self described “Wake Up Call”. I wonder what the link between the two could be?

A view from the connecting arch up Central Stream.

Another new gallery of Collagesity: Sink Lair (next to the town diner/museum). Detailed description of the permanent exhibit within are here and here. LINKS

Collagesity Developments 01

The Edwardston Station Gallery holding the entire Art 10×10 set of 100 collages, formerly hovering in the sky about the Crystal Fields, has been deleted. In its place now sits the groundside Gallery Jack holding 60 of the 100 same collages, or all collages in the series named for places within Jasper County itself (Rose Hill, Yale, Newton, Hidalgo, Wheeler, and Jasper). Gone for now are the collages of the Greenup and Oblong series making up the remainder of the Art 10×10, numbering 20 apiece. But of course they may return at any time in another setting.

Snapshot1948_007

Then directly beside Gallery Jack has been added the Castle of Wappo Jack, actually composed of 2 separate Moard Ling “castles” mashed together, as I’m wont to do at times. But this is peculiar: the name Wappo Jack was formerly unrelated to the name Gallery Jack, which instead originated in Jasper Newton Daniel, better known as Tennessee liquor distiller Jack Daniel. You the reader may have a bottle or three of his product in your cupboard right now.

We’ll get to a description of Jack’s Castle in a moment. Giant Wappo Jack looms over an arm of it in the below photo.

Snapshot1948_010

The rezzing of Gallery Jack beside Central Stream displaced the temple generated tableu of Jesus of Nazareth, which moved across the creek to settle in a green crystal nook beside the town diner. Neat fit; Boss Moss certainly blends right in.

Snapshot1948_011

Snapshot1948_014

The forum of Gallery Jack still contains statues of the Eternally Bickering Newton and Jasper. Perhaps they should sit down with each other and hash things out over a liquor drink.

Snapshot1948_017

Some collages of the Rose Hill series. Nice texture fit between the poking pink crystal and the collage to the right (Rose Hill 04). But the collage immediately behind the crystal will obviously have to be moved. There’s room on an adjacent wall.

Snapshot1948_018

Another Gallery Jack collage that had to be repositioned a bit is Hidalgo 04 (“Day of Destruction”). This is because the eastern tower of Wappo Jack’s castle actually protrudes through the walls of the gallery here, another intentional structure mashing of sorts.

Snapshot1948_019

The tower has stairs spiraling around its entire height. You actually have to walk through part of Gallery Jack to reach its top in this manner. At some point in its history, the tower began to serve as a lighthouse.

Snapshot1948_021

The western tower of the collaged castle is higher and larger in circumference, with 6 projecting, conical turrets.

Snapshot1948_022

Little Wappo Jack’s temple display still resides on the ground floor of the western tower, about in the same location as before when it was sheltered within a gazebo. The Castle of Wappo Jack was built around the already present display in other words.
