Warren + Wilson shows up recently on James Franco…

120908b_james_franco

At the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival press conference for “Spring Breakers” that took place on Friday, the young starlets Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, and Rachel Korine wowed journalists and photographers with their subtle-but-sexy outfits.

The film’s male star James Franco, however, made a more peculiar wardrobe choice.

Beside his lace-and-leopard clad costars, Franco wore some snappy jeans, sneakers, black jacket and a bright blue T-shirt with the words “Warren Wilson College” emblazoned on it.

… who starred with Winona Ryder in several recent movies, including the arthouse style The Letter from 2012 (which I just watched and was *frank*ly pretty confused about; and coming from the same year as the above picture).

Some of the interesting background of Winona here. Fun trivia (among others): Timothy Leary was her godfather.

Warren & his owls look out on a stump in Wilson (Wilson Stump). He knows this is where he comes from. He always remembers his origin because it is always within his sight. There is a big drop in front of him, separating carved entity from river. He lies at the end of a 15 (natural) step passage. People marche right by him all the time.

The Arches, MN

DME 6090 and two other SD40-2s drag an empty moonshine train up Stockton Hill through an area known as “The Arches.” Clearly you can see why it has that name. The future civil engineer in me loves finding cool bridges like this one while out railfanning.

When we saw this train sitting in Minnesota City waiting for a warrant, there was no doubt a chase was in order up Stockton Hill, something we’d never had the chance to do before. But since we’d never done it before, we also didn’t have a great idea of where all the good photo spots were – just that one could follow the tracks for the most part on adjacent road. So when we saw a nice girder bridge just to the east of this bridge we set up there and were quite pleased with the shot. Then we continued only a few thousand feet down the road and found this slick double stone arch bridge. The keystone on the left arch has a build date of 1882. This was a fun chase on a Sunday morning for two railfans from Central Wisconsin. Sometimes the best chases are those where you don’t really know the territory and end up stumbling onto the best of shots by accident.

More photos from this chase and other photos shot on the BNSF and CP on the same day can be found here:

Dead Center Hill (also see upper right corner of above photo): This is where it all went down. Warren also knew of the place; no lie this time. Warren again separated from Wilson and climbed this hill just to the south of the river, leaving a piece of kane (Old Kane) as a marker.

Wyatt, born on March 19, 1848, to Nicholas Porter Earp and his second wife, Virginia Ann Cooksey, was named after his father’s commanding officer in the Mexican-American War, Captain Wyatt Berry Stapp, of the 2nd Company Illinois Mounted Volunteers. Some evidence supports Wyatt Earp’s birthplace as 406 South 3rd Street in Monmouth, Illinois, though the street address is disputed by some.[who?] Monmouth is in Warren County in western Illinois.[5]

More strange stuff indeed…

smoky01

That’s all the Smoky/ pp in the US, including variations. Lo and behold, the Lovely, KY we were just talking about pops up, and right next to the only legitimate Smoky in Calvert County, MD. The variant name for Lovely, and why it shows up in this list, is Smoky Bottom.

I’m not sure if this means anything but a pointer to Kate Swift of [Winesap], who is Lovely as described by Rev. Hartman (and Lovely *and* a Beauty in the next story) and also a smoker — smoky or smokey. We know this through Smoky Ordinary, VA linked to Ordinary, VA and Glass and Lady and Achilles. The Lady is Kate again, who, at the end of the reverend’s story, becomes one with the praying child of the window who has lost his (Achilles) heel. Story of Achilles, then, to refresh my memory. This is only US Achilles besides one in remoter part of Kansas (Rawlins County).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Achilles%27_heel

In Greek mythology, when Achilles was a baby, it was foretold that he would die young. To prevent his death, his mother Thetis took Achilles to the River Styx, which was supposed to offer powers of invulnerability, and dipped his body into the water. But as Thetis held Achilles by the heel, his heel was not washed over by the water of the magical river. Achilles grew up to be a man of war who survived many great battles. But one day, a poisonous arrow shot at him was lodged in his heel, killing him shortly after.

The use of “Achilles heel” as an expression meaning “area of weakness, vulnerable spot” dates only to 1840, with implied use in Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s “Ireland, that vulnerable heel of the British Achilles!” from 1810 (Oxford English Dictionary).[5]

Money may also be involved. Only 1 of 2 Moneys in US in Gloucester County, along with a historic Cash. The other is in Mississippi with possible attachments to Pink Floyd’s song Money, reinforced by Money Creek + Root River in Houston County, Minnesota, remembering that we’ve brought up this county before (archetypal 2, as in HHH). Floyd’s Gilmour croons that money is the root of all evil to-day in the song Money, a famous line of the Dark Side of the Moon album. Money is another achilles heel for a lot of people — worrying about it in various ways (not having enough, wanting more, etc.). Not the Winesap reverend’s problem necessarily, but add it to the list along with sexual temptation. At the top again, Minnesota is more about Nixon (through Hixon) and him being a crook and exposed after the ’68 election. Nixon tops native son Hubert H. Humphrey. We’ll travel down that path or Trail sometime soon as well, hopefully avoiding the Gully. 🙂

Another type of smoke (monster) we’ve been seeing on LOST a lot lately. We’re at the final episode… started in July!

Story Room?

Possible connection between (Daniel) Day and Lily. First, defunct Day County in Oklahoma with Lily (another blood stain on this; Grand?… positioned between 2 Lilies?)…

Day_County_OT_map_1905

then, second, current Day County in South Dakota

1910_Day

Connection: daylilies of course.

Syncs of old blog concerning lilies:

Kinda Freaky…

Lily Munster (that’s Herman’s wife) already mentioned in the current blog here, with US villages of that name listed.

https://bakerbloch.wordpress.com/2013/10/18/updates-2/

The Way came, and the old power gave way — *way* — to the new power. Lisa The Vegetarian took control from the owner still in Herman’s Mansion at the time. An agreement was forged. Handshakes… There was a meeting, several in fact. Herman’s wife Lilly knew of St. Lisa. Lilly…

bb:

Lilly was greatly disturbed by the coming of The Way, which effectively split Herman Park in two.

Hucka D.:

Herman Park was *made* at that point, per Lisa’s plan overseen by Marty.

here come old flattop

Lily, SD (current pop: 4) is notable as the home of Hubert H. Humphrey’s father, who opened a drug store there in 1903. He met & married HHH’s mother there, a native, and then moved to Wallace, SD in 1907, where the future vp was soon born.

Here’s a later, more famous Humphrey-Wallace conjunction this seems to presage…

humphreywallace01

And this is coded also into the Houston “corner” County syncs of Minnesota and Alabama as well. Geneva-Houston helps highlight.

Humphrey and Wallace are archetypal 2’s and 3’s.

March(e)

March in Marshall County, Minn., near incorporated Warren (Marshall County seat).

marchminn

Marche, Arkansas in Pulaski County, with lone variant name of Warren. Marche is linked to Natural Steps, and also 15 steps of nearby county and “Steve” via Rule 110 (connect to Mouse’s Q109).

March, *Craighead* County, AR: may refer to mystery book Winesap as including 15 steps or else Rule 110 in some respect, connected to 2 fis(her)man’s within each (county and book). Nearby Bono =s Sonny, as in King Sonny or King Charles, fighter of Anti-TILE forces near Bill Creek, Ashville.

Marche pronounced Marsh, sometimes mispelled, perhaps, as Marshe. It is a small mashy region just beyond Warren’s river cane grove on the Wilson River. People sometimes march right past Warren on the main trail there, not seeing him. That wasn’t the case, as it turned out, with my new facebook friend JS. She was looking through my eyes, or I her’s.

Barry > Shin(i)n(g) 03

barrystanley

Let’s take another tact.

But first, an *odd* coincidence. Remember when I talked of seeing a white spark above a red ceiling triangle during Wendy’s discovery of Jack’s insane manuscript, connecting it the the Eye of Providence? Well, apparently I’m not the first to notice the triangle, for Ager mentions his own Eye of Providence connection here. The white spark completely fits in with his analysis! I wonder if he knows about the same eye depicted on the Seal of Colorado?

I’ll quote…

I only half suspected that the false enlightenment themes of The Shining were related to the Eye of Providence until an email correspondent pointed out an important set detail in the Colorado Lounge. It’s seen only once in the film. As Wendy leans forward to flick through Jack’s manuscript there is a slightly out of focus strip of colourful designs on the ceiling that do not look like Native American designs. The strip contains alternating blue and red triangles, each with a circular object in the centre. They look very much like the eyeball and triangle design featured on the Clockwork Orange poster. Is this the Eye of Providence?

eye triangles ceiling clockwork

Quite bizarre. But we must get back to the Barry>Shining theme, and the new twist of Stanley’s *landing strip*.

Did Jack choke Danny in his bedroom just after the filmed scene depicted here?

sh_howsitgoingdoc

Notice the red car in the bathroom window (thinking of the yellow duck again), and the similarity with Kearns’ close up of the ChOking poster above, as she points out. I have not much doubt that Danny was choked during the “time” we see the 2 versions of this poster in the film. Danny has entered, or seems to have entered Room 237 just before this. But Jack seems to have an alibi since he’s been typing, or at least dreaming at his typewriter. We are confronted with another aspect of the maze.

But is time what it seems here? I also think not.
