sink in

“We have this road running straight here, and then the same road running to the side as well. Wonder what it means Option 01?” Pause. “Option 01?”

Turn. “Now where’d he go?”

—–

“You know, Son, these wearable pipe chairs come right here from Pipersville back in the days. Hence the name.”

“Cool, Dad. Um, cool, heh, that you’re hanging around more now. I sort of, I don’t know, *missed* ya.”

“That’s great, Son. No, I’m back. Or at least more back.” Damn sinkhole, he thinks to himself again while staring down at it. He’s glad now he planted that big Tree Green 02 back in the days as well, since it now helps impede his view of the bottom. Along with that big piece of plywood the neighbors left just sitting down there. Cursed sinkhole. Maybe just start a petition to cover up the thing. We have the Professor Suckaluck death story to get the ball rolling. Rolling, rolling, dead. Doorknob dead.

“Dad?” asked Preston Weston, still clutching his zapper gun. “Are you in thinking mode right now?”

Craighead Phillips Option 01 turns to his only child. “You’re one to speak about thinking modes.” He points to his head. “You have a whole *world* in there, Son, heh heh. Your mother can’t wrap her brain around it.”

“Are you asking me to tell you a stor–yyy?” Preston Weston queries expectantly.

Craighead Phillips takes one last drag off his Chesterton cigarette before snuffing it out on the cement porch. “Nah, I’ve got to catch up with my other self, the one who cares less. Just wanted to come visit and see how you’re doing, kid.”

“I’m fine. So — you’re not going to stay the night?”

“Nah. Your Mama and I have patched things up pretty well but not to that extent — not… well, let’s not go that far quite yet. Maybe within a month or so.” Maybe within a month or so my other self and I will tire of exploring north east south west on the continent, he thinks. Away from this blasted sinkhole. Anywhere else. But maybe they could *all* go away. At least for a bit. A vacation of some kind. He decides to test the water.

“Son, if you could go anywhere. And I mean anywhere. Where would it be? Where would make you happier in the world? Mars, I’m guessing.”

“Aww Dad. You know the answer to this.”

“Not the Pipe Room. Don’t say the Pipe Room.”

“I… I wasn’t going to say that.”

“Because we don’t talk about the Pipe Room,” Craighead Phillips insisted.

“I *wasn’t* going to talk about it.”

“Son. That’s where your mother went off her rocker. When she was just a kid. Only a little more older than you. Did I ever tell you that story?”

And he thinks *I* have an overactive imagination, Preston Weston ponders while wondering how he can get out of a 15 minute soliloquy himself at this point.

Gno King

Sweet Alice’s father was King Null, obviously conceived before he became all jigsaw-y and stuff and was known merely as Richard (or Ricardo to some). This was the fault of Bishop, his closest companion now that the Queen was dead. Long live Queen Mae, fairest in the land, protector of the realm, instigator of none. But the Bishop — different alligator altogether. A crocogator, even. He pulled a Brutus on Caesar; took away his humanity; made him like he was. Sometimes likes attract as well, and this is the case here. King Null: only his now separated body pieces know the full picture. Let’s listen in…

“Move over,” Bishop commanded. “You’re in the center again.”

Typical.

Hell

Click to access black-clear_lake_mp-a_2013.pdf

1933 -Black-Clear Lake was formed by the construction of the Allen Dam across Saline Bayou downstream of its confluence with Black Bayou. Prior to that time, there existed a chain of three swampy areas known as Black Lake, Clear Lake and the Prairie. The Allen Dam inundated all three of these areas and formed what is now Black-Clear Lake, known locally as Black Lake. Construction of the Allen Dam also created Saline Lake and water levels in both lakes were regulated in unison….

1959 -The Chee Chee Dam was constructed and served to separate Saline Lake from Black-Clear Lake.

1981 –The Allen Dam failed and was washed away

“I will not fail in my mission,” thought Allen Y., at a Calas flower kiosk with a just purchased bouquet of fresh and lovely purple roses. “I *will* win her heart.”

—–

“He will fail,” spoke observing Baker Bloch back at the Blue Feather Table.

“Yes,” answered Wheeler beside him. “The water obscures, the water clears. Bottom-writing is revealed. All demos down there.”

“Demons,” spoke Baker Bloch. “You forgot the ‘n’.”

“I didn’t forget nothing,” retorts the co-ruler of Collagesity. She settles back in her chair, pulls out some chew and sticks it in her mouth. “But first a little Chee Chee,” she delivered from an open, masticating void.

Black people. Just like me. But then: “Whiteyes”. Ice Cream Eyes?

She looks at the watch that she’s not wearing. Time to meet Grassy over at the Blue Feather Table Room.

—–

Hucka Doobie kept staring at the map and adding information. “Karon above Lapara, Grassy. And Cadiz is nearby too.”

“A ‘Z’ is kind of an ‘N’ turned on its side,” offered his old friend sitting beside him. His old *nemesis*. But that was long, long ago and far, far away. In a different universe, really.

“You’re right Grassy Noll!” She rotates it in his mind. “Karoz’s ‘N’ must have been turned into a ‘Z’. It’s not lost, merely sideways!”

“Visa versa.”

“What’s that?”

“Visa versa,” Grassy repeated. “Reverse the ‘N’ with the ‘Z’.”

Hand of Opp.

If odd, crazy things become consistently common…

… well, I think you know what I’m getting at here (odd crazy things turn into common ordinary things). Like this image I found while googling “‘Baxter County’ Arkansas map” just a minute ago, before logging in here. It was in the 5th row of hits, about 29 images down. But it stuck out, you see, because of my recent mentions of Hand in relation to this county…. LINK

A very odd picture — it represents an upside down map of the county since the Missouri state line is to the south instead of the north where it should be. Here’s the web site it’s from:

True Man Show

https://www.columbiatribune.com/news/20171027/three-original-pieces-by-salvador-dali-unveiled-at-tiger-hotel

“It’s possible here in Columbia for people to see surrealist masters like this in our own backyard,” Laverick said. “That’s what the Tiger Hotel has always been about, creating a place that would be at home in New York or Chicago, and this is the next level of that. These paintings would normally only be accessible in a big city but they’re right here.”

“Today Missouri. Tomorrow: Rosehaven.” Ruby Fantasie extends her arms and shrills in as nasal a voice as she can muster over the city. “Come fiind mee! I’m heeere!!”

Three

There’s a Moss Island sim in Our Second Lyfe but it only seems pertinent because the parcel composing the whole sim is called Two Sun 3. This pointed me back to Nascera and the Threesun Cult that, recently, we’ve seen Doc Brown of Eotia Village mentioning as a past obsession, and connected in some mysterious way to the religion that new Eotia resident (and new father) Zoidboro was a preacher of over in The Waste. The Threesun sim is also a location featured in Collagesity novel 8 LINK.

But first I probed other “Moss” sims of Second Lyfe. Checked all out by teleporting into the center and having a look around. These included Moss Gully on the Jeogeot continent (basically empty), Moss Island (already accomplished), Moss n Mink (no allowed teleport), Mossmopolis (interesting name, but nothing there that I could tell), Mossu (clothing store), Mossy Cove (no teleport), and, finally Mossy Hill, which turned out to be a protected land sim of one of the Nascera continents, but not the original one. Perhaps the one they called Arecsan?

Upon visiting, the “Hill” part of the name confused me since the sim seemed totally flat, but I discovered there is a raise area in the southwest corner. Perhaps that’s what the Mossy Hill namers had in mind, and it is greener than the flatland to the northwest, green being the color of moss.

But the fact that this was a landscaping sim interested me (like Threesun sim) since the great majority of Nascera related sims are instead populated to the brink with residential houses (linden homes). I pondered what equivalent sim might be on the several other Nascera continents, and quickly came upon this: Tam Lin, with some more interesting landscaping going on. And the point of a *heart* shaped pond in the middle.

Let’s go see…

Not quite a point but certainly a heart still.

And just over there to the east: another one. Reinforcement.

Some of you probably know who Tam Mossman is. Tam and I became friends many years ago. That was around the time he was the Prentice-Hall Publishing Company’s editor for Jane Roberts’ Seth books. He continued in that role many years.

And there’s this:

AlmaNoz

“I will come back,” spoke Karoz at the Table again. “But we must start to focus on TILE once more. Occident. I am a high TILE priest after all. And: bite it Wheeler.”

But Wheeler Wilson was still holding and using the cell phone. “I can’t seem to get a hold of Hucka Doobie, Karoz. Could she be… dead?”

“Doubtful. She’s in Gaston. Right?”

“Yes,” Baker Bloch answers for Wheeler.

Wheeler finally gives up on reaching Hucka Doobie for the night; puts away the phone. She crosses her legs and leans toward the blue-green being. “Okay, Karoz. Tell us all about TILE, then.”

—–

Later:

“I’d pretty much say it’s exactly your color,” bee person Hucka Doobie declared to her old friend Karoz at this Treasure Hill representing the heart of the Orient, its apex. Its climax if you will. Hucka Doobie looked around again. “Both Morgan and Julia sides.”

“Then this must be about me. And also Baker Blinker,” spoke the wise cyan guy. “Okay, we’ll return. Obviously mum’s the word about our meeting here.”

Hucka Doobie made a zipping motion over her slightly pollen covered lips.

yarns

Queer, thought Baker Bloch, back to exploring Blue Junkyards. I recognize this butterfly ship from Rosehaven. And (as he’s checking): owned by an actual Rosehavener (again: !). Well, in that nice Designing Worlds video on the region fleet commander Wildstar Beaumont did say his ships were deployed throughout Our Second Lyfe. I guess this is proof! Far far away from Rosehaven I would assume we are.

So another synchromystic link between Rosehaven and The Waste, since Blue Junkyards’ name is very similar to The Junkyard sim of latter.

And this just after I moved my Rosehaven Yarn Shop over right smack next to the *Yarn*a sim on Corsica last night (thanks Green Squirrel and Huma!).

Queerer and queerer. Maybe we’re not done with Rosehaven in the *present* yarn.
