He waits between hot and cold, choosing hot himself and currently enjoying a mustard and ketchup laden dog of such temperature before customers show up for the midday “rush” — not much of a rush actually but he’s not much of a worker these days, being technically retired and a bona fide Whitehead in Da Woods.

The Mustard Ketchup Kid plays soccer in a nearby field with his sister Ventura, who hails from California. She channels her energy in order to attempt to get the ball past Bert (actual name), but all this is just more code.

Squared Root City is expanding across Highway 13-14 into the sim to the north. Still exciting times for the burg. We hold out hope that it can replace Collagesity-Fordham as proper capital of Lower Austra. Because the latter is probably going away and is, anyway, too small for the role, being only a little over 1/8th of a sim in size. Squared Root Cy is, in contrast, about a sim and a 1/2 in area now.

That’s why the Axis-Windmill character is back. He waits in the Zero Club at the beginning of it all — just before the beginning, some say — for another important character that has chosen to resurface in these here blog-novels to match the new energy. Vim, some call her; others: Vigor (that’s actually her sister, maybe a twin). She counts her Mississippi’s in anticipation of the manifestation. One Mississippi, Two… wait, she forgot something. Newt! At the Zero!

“Hi baby doll.”

He turns. “Eyela?? Wasn’t expecting *you*.”

“No one is,” she speaks truthfully and, after adjusting the strap of her new clockwork eyepatch to better match her face, takes a seat beside him at the bar. Both now turn away from the camera and speak privately. We try to listen in but only catch a couple of words like Geronimo, Slick, Olive, and Oklahoma. We gather an oil spill in Indian territory of the panhandle state may be involved but could be mistaken. Let’s back up and move in closer. We’re the bartender. Let’s call him Jim. Tom, actually, only 3 feet away. Close enough to properly record. We ask if they need a drink to be more legitimate seeming. They refuse. We move away but not too much — should be OK. And… PRESS.

“I’m glad we could mustard enough energy to catch up,” she began, which was code for “very important information to follow.”

“Spill,” he requested, and she did. We were right. Kind of.

boxed in (no 257)

I wonder if Mr. Z ever made it off Tina’s islet over there,” she ponders, sipping on a cocktebeerl to try to soothe her still weak and rumbling stomach. Maybe we should start over and begin at that Art Box in the sim’s corner — see what else leads into the island. Perhaps fresh characters? May be too late for that. Only about 5 or 6 posts left in this here photo-novel, 31 in a series of… 31 in a series… *siiighh*.

She thinks back to the calendar opened up to February and what lay underneath it. Red. Lots of red. She spills her guts over the deck’s railing, carefully avoiding the flowers this time.

Later with her one good eye, she decides to find out.

mourning sickness

It always seemed to be raining on the island. Lightning and raining. She decided to use the transformative powers she intended for Opine on herself. Failure! How many times had she reenacted the tragedy in her head. Why did she position that particular tank over the stairs. Why had she not thought of the trajectory made when he fell to the floor. First time! But she had decided, unconsciously, she wanted it this way all along. A real true to life woman she was now, an Eve without an Adam. Dammit, Axis. If only I hadn’t been greedy and ordered two fer one Opine would had been stored in the safe tank, the red one instead of blue. Blue stands for dangerous future as opposed to safe past. Best to cut it off at the present, best to stay below the horizon line. Or at least keep the body down there, hmph. Pheh. Bleh! She threw up colors again, thinking about that head, that face…

uninvited

We start again at the House on the Hill at the summit of one of those islands we just spoke about, the two stranger ones representing retirement itself. A figure both male and female, one locked inside the other. And behind him or her, in the kitchen. A ghost.

We can call it a rock.

We can call it a planet.

It is the same size as our Earth.

It is associated with the color blue (like our Earth).

But it is not Earth.

It is from somewhere else.

And we need to treat it with respect.

I’ll let the darker one sleep this time, she thinks from her couch of power as the awakened lighter one is released to the floor.

But an occident occurred as he dropped too far and spilled down the stairs instead. “Oh my God oh my GOD.”

We could say the neck was snapped but that wouldn’t be the half of it.

seed

Rose Wells’ first Tesseract House, in Diagonal but also Lineville according to other sources. Combined: Diagonal Line(ville). Fitting. Probably called Eyela at the time but perhaps Leela. This started the whole Nautilus continent-US of A hyperlink back in the mid to late 1800s. Marvelous. Fantastic.

Thanks Facebook!

eye for an eye

Visit to the unusual “eye rock” and subsequent discussions. Lester Jackson, owner of the cornfield, wanted to name it *I* owa and town councilman Alex Bald countered with Hawk*eye*. They would fight it out later that day over a good ol’ game of Iowa chesskers, 1/2 chess and 1/2 checkers where black always moves first. Make that Hawkeye chesskers, because Alex won. Plans to move the Hawkeye Rock to his town’s square were in the works before they could say night night to each other. The next morning neighboring Taylor County and its superior moving company based in Siam was rung up. “Ringgold County here,” they started, then cut to the chase. “We need a crane.” “It’ll cost you,” came the not-so-neighborly reply, terms which later telescoped back into the equally unusual 14 year old girl and her twins.

—–

And that’s how Rose ended up in Our Second Lyfe on the Omega continent in the Tesseract House with the tailors, who are actually Taylors.

“Andy! Bee!” she joked through the door she couldn’t remember was oriented east or west on this particular day. “Come quick; he’s done!” And so they entered the bedroom for the first time in who knows how long, maybe Tuesday.

“Why do you have him tied up?” asked innocent Tealy, stuck on his one color. The more worldly, multi-hued Tillie explained it to him later.

“Oh, *that* kind of creation.”

Siamese twins Archie and Ed Bunker with surrogate mom Rose Wells, telescoped to the past in this here photo and known colloquially as Eyela, about 14 years old at the time of the snapping. She made sure the picture was public domain and available for later decoding. Smart girl!

But such condensings do have consequences. Hence: a 3 eyed woman who lives in a very similar house but in a neighboring village. One hand goes in, the other comes out. Karma.

The condition is now known as Winona Ryder Eye, after the famous actress whose 3rd was unlocked, like a door, during the filming of “Edward Scissorhands” on location in Lutz, Florida when actor Johnny Depp accidentally opened it up with his scissorhands prop while pretending to cut her hair with them. She was rushed to the hospital but the forehead wound had already healed, advantage gained. Winona developed second sight, and was able to see the Upside Down, which gave her a leg up in winning key roles down the road in her then fledgling career.

Could be that the one eyed woman above is named Ylem, or that’s the technical (slang?) term for her medical condition of singular ocularity. I’ll have to ask Rose more about it when I get the chance.

spoiled?

“Why are you here, Big Red? Can you not find the litter box again? I told you. Today is the 5th so you turn left at the stairs. If it was the 4th you’d turn right. You understand? Even and odd, Big Red. Just like we talked about. And then the 3rd Sunday’s Monday… but no need to complicate matters right now. Can you hold it in a bit more… until I guide you down the hall past the tailors to the correct room? Thanks for your patience. No need to pull out lumber or anything.” She was starting to sweat. A.B. Normal was influencing the future as well as the past too. He needs to merge with my 1/2 brother’s body and pronto! Besides: I get lonely. She concedes.

“Alright Big Red. Just this *one* time.”

“Ma – ma,” he squeals in joy while moving toward the east that was the west just yesterday. He’ll pick it up. Or not. Hopefully won’t matter soon.
