Baker Blinker Blog Book IV: Jeogeot II 01a (Oct/Nov 2009 01 of 03)

Sunklands Central?

So what do you do when you get bored in SL? Move! I’m now in the middle of Sunklands.

So as you can see, I have my two standard, intro ground houses already set up, and also the waterfall I’ve also now rezzed in Ephant. Nice fit here as well! Now although I like about every waterfall I meet up with in SL, I’ll also say that some of them seem miscast for a role. I don’t feel that way about this waterfall… seems perfectly natural… maybe a tad too wide. but all in all…

Snapshot3047_004smaller

Victorian house from the road. I don’t own the property right next to the road, but I don’t think my view will be obstructed. I hope! Nice little garden to the left here… a roadside rest stop as it advertises itself. Already inside the house are many of the pictures originally found in the House of Truth in Noru. I’m on the same continent, so many of the pictures, maps, etc. certainly apply to the new setting.

Snapshot3047_007smaller

The waterfall goes right to the north edge of the property, which, by the way, is 7680 sq. meters, arranged like two side-by-side 4096s subtract a 512 on the front right side. It’s a little less than half of what I still own in Azure Islands (basically speaking, I rent there as well… just from a bigger enterprise), but the upside: almost *twice* as many prims to work with. And all at about the same “rent” per month. I think I would have stayed longer in Azure Islands — maybe — if Azure Island #1 hadn’t been essentially shredded during my time there. Probably the end of AI is near, or else a complete makeover. Maybe the Comet Archipelago is part of the makeover, but I have my doubts, and for good reasons. Mainland is certainly still the most stable place to live, despite all its shortcomings. Maybe I just needed a little break from all the madness… probably so.

Now I can also resume the commercial aspect of my gallery or galleries. That should be fun. But with all the extra prims, I think another gallery revision is in order, with the thought that the situation now is more permanent than even, perhaps, Noru. Although it seemed big at the time, I realized, through my experience on a homestead sim, that I needed a bit more. This is 1 1/2 times the size of the Noru property, and might be just right… I knew I probably shouldn’t rent less or even the same as Noru and expect it to last. My idea is that this new move will be my last major one for a spell. Of course I’ll most likely move again, but I’m hoping to delay such thoughts till at least, say, um, Christmas (?).

Snapshot3047_009smaller

Currently my favorite place to hang on the new property– what little time I’ve had to do so. It’s a Chilbo related cottage that I forgot I had in my inventory until rechecking the lengthy list upon the move, apparently the first cottage owned by Chilbo founder Fleep Tuque.

Snapshot3047_010smaller

I made the walls transparent from within so that I could see into the center of the sink I live above now. I know it won’t last, but for now the view is breathtaking. The rest of the sim, however, is up for sale, and I have a feeling that it will be bought up quickly. See below for more on that…

Snapshot3047_013smaller

Baker in the Chilbo cottage.

Snapshot3047_014smaller

Baker on a rock beside the waterfall.

Snapshot3047_018smaller

And then, as I returned to the cottage and sat there, or Baker Bloch sat there, civilization harshly made its presence known in the sim. I just hope they don’t cover the sink again (this particular owner can only cover 1/2 of the sink… btw, I don’t own any of the bottomland of the sink).

I’ll have more to say about this property soon. Let’s let the neighborhood settle down first, however!

Edwardston Station Gallery Reborn…

Baker Bloch waiting at the nice little “rest stop” just south of my properties for the whole sim of Aotearoa to come back online. He was busy working on the new gallery structure (more below) when the warnings came. 10 minutes till your sim goes offline, 3 minutes, 1 minute… At the last moment he chickened out and teleported over to Chesaux to wait the downtime out, although he would have liked to have stayed and see what happened to an avatar when his home sim goes offline. Maybe it’s like Tron (once again) in that you get derezzed along with the sim. But in any case he didn’t find out.

Snapshot3048_003smaller

On the west lip of Aotearoa, you get this marvelous view down into the eastern side of Jeogeot’s largest sink, and, as far as I can tell, the largest such dry sink in SL. The landscape is barren in front of Baker here because the central parcel cutting through the vale from the east here is up for sale.

Snapshot3048_007smaller

I rent almost 1/8th of the Aotearoa sim. The rest has been bought up by a single individual in the last several days, who’s currently setting up what appears to be a quite large, multi-level mall in its center. Quite close to my parcel, as you can tell. I was resigned to having neighbors and the inherent problems (and, yes, also advantages), so this comes as no big surprise. Mind you this is also the back of the mall (whatever) and the front is much prettier. But from the back it’s not much to see, and the multilevel part is kind of irritating (it grew a new, bottom level just yesterday). I must admit that I played around with erecting 2 60x60x1 screens between my parcel and his land, but it just didn’t look right. So, again, I’ve resigned myself to look at the back of this monstrosity while it exists next to me. From what I’ve scanned it looks really nice inside, and, as I said, the front is much better. I wonder how much trouble it is to set one of these giant thingies up? Anyway, I’ll never find out, although I’d like to play around with unpacking some kind of [non-mall] superstructure in the future, just for kicks. Just to get use to the scale. But for now the stuff I’ve been working with is certainly large enough…

Snapshot3049_004smaller

Bringing us to a happier subject: the new Edwardston Station Gallery (!). I briefly pondered setting all gallery spaces up in the air, but settled on this “adjusted”, new style of ground gallery, built up from a simple structure Baker Bloch found in his inventory called the Black Box, which served as a module (as, for example, Arcadia Asylum’s “Shop In A Box” acted as the module for the former version of this gallery, last seen in Noru I believe back in August).

Snapshot3049_008smaller

I won’t go into great details on the build except to say that part of it was modeled in my skybox and moved to the ground, and then the second stage involved modifying the resultant new “superstructure” (module based, as I said) to act as a proper receptacle for my collage 10×10. What I’ve previously determined is that all gallery structures named “Edwardston Station Gallery” should serve as a home for this 10×10 and it alone, sans Edna’s photographs. *Ideally* I’d like to house collages and photographs in one structure, as I did, in part, in b_hivia. However, just for practicality’s sake (lag caused by large number of textures and prims), I think it’s now best, at least at this stage, to stick exclusively with the collages in this ground gallery. As I believe I’ve already mentioned, I still have close to a *1000* prims to work with on the property, even with this gallery all set up and collages included now. I think there’s no doubt a sky structure will have to come soon, as I don’t want to set anything else very large on the ground itself — that part’s mostly developed as far as I’m concerned.

Snapshot3049_009smaller

As I was telling Hucka D. in a recent post, I see this as a “bigger boy” gallery than former structures. Even though I loved b_hivia and all such beehives that came before it, along with those using Arcadia Asylum work as modules or parts (for example, the aforementioned Noru-version Edwardston Station Gallery), I believe the newest gallery looks a little less “home made” and more like other SL galleries that I’ve visited. I think you can see the difference below. Mind you, I like both approaches, but for this build I decided on a slightly more sophisticated, streamlined look. Like adding fashionable lights on certain floors such as the first one (pictured below)…

Snapshot3049_014smaller

Snapshot3049_015smaller

… and also an aquarium in the middle of floor 2 (with non-phantom water, though, so you can walk over it).

Snapshot3049_019smaller

Floor 4 below represents the current, main entry point into the gallery from those teleporting in. As you can see, I’ve appropriately set the SL gallery kiosk inside a cut/edited pillar. Since the below picture was taken, I’ve also added a welcome sign of sorts, providing, upon touch, a link to my gallery url in this blog (I decided against — again for now; may change my mind — having a notecard for the gallery, especially one that is automatically provided as one enters from this point.

Snapshot3049_022smaller

It was a lot of fun playing around with the structure once the base was firmly set on the ground. One interesting result was the introduction of circle based elements from the tower wing of the newest Temple of TILE version. I also used bits from this wing to enclose the 5 tier spiral staircase linking all 7 floors of the structure together. I found that when it wasn’t enclose using this stairwell, Baker Bloch had a tendency at times to merely walk over its narrow edge at times due to “natural” lag, especially when going down instead of up.

I’m not sure what the red circle means here; just something that I decided to include in the natural evolution of the build.

Snapshot3049_036smaller

The new gallery from behind. This is from the western lip of Aotearoa again, and from about the same position as picture #2 of this particular post. I’ve since removed the gallery sign (black, center) from the back.

Snapshot3049_039smaller

ESG Reborn, Couple More…

Thought I’d also include in this blog a couple more pictures of the ground just before the new Edwardston Station Gallery was built. This is from the modified Arcadia Econo apartment that use to sit in the same location. Basically the entire space between it and the Victorian house Baker Bloch is staring toward here has been filled by the new gallery. The sidewalk linking the two has also been uprooted — more on that to come, perhaps…

Snapshot3047_001smaller

Baker Bloch on the west end of the 40 meter, totally straight sidewalk, staring toward the property’s cottage (Chilbo bought). As I think I’ve said, the cottage is currently my favorite place on the property to just “hang.”

Snapshot3047_003smaller

Then a picture from after the gallery was set on the ground. As the whole structure is set on these pillars, a type of walking space is still provided underneath. But no room for large trees — only the smaller ones like short, fall Linden oaks from our default library inventory.

Snapshot3049_002smaller

A look up into the level 2 aquarium from below. Yes, that’s a shark, although I didn’t activate his “roaming” ability. This is another Linden inventory item, along with all the fish here.

Snapshot3049_003smaller

Interesting juxtaposition of gallery and Victorian house viewed from behind the single grave on the property. May add more headstones soon to make a small cemetery in this location.

Snapshot3049_006smaller

A small pond on the property. I’ll have more to say about this in a future post.

Snapshot3049_007smaller

A closer view of the front, middle of the new gallery.

Chat….

” A brief chat with the Huckster, perhaps. Hucka D.?”

Hucka D.:

We are now Petermondans. ..dites.

bb:

Yeah, feels good. So is *this* Petemond? Or on the same site?

Hucka D.:

Yes. This is another place that Peter lived. Peter’s Mount. Pedemount. Petemond.

bb:

How exciting.

Hucka D.:

You will live here 3 months, maybe 6, maybe even 9 if you’re good. Can you be good?

bb:

I’m not sure…

Hucka D.:

You are in Sunklands. You have returned home. You are in your natural element. Noru was good but not this good. Keep attached to Chilbo, also, in a peripheral way. Or, better, send Karoz over to mingle at times. Give him a role.

bb:

I will. I promise.

Hucka D.:

Make friends with your Sunklands neighbors. Spread the word of Sunklands far and wide. Peter in the past, Baker in the present. I think you can be happy there.

bb:

I hope. I’m quite pleased with the new version of the Edwardston Station Gallery. More of a big boy gallery, or a bigger boy. Still an amateur build, obviously, but I’m learning, and I think it fits in fairly well with the overall environment of the property. Still lots of nature left. May even get rid of the Victorian house… probably not. But it always seems that has to go.

Hucka D.:

I’ll see you soon.

Chatt…

“You wish to talk a bit about Sunklands, understandably.”

bb:

Yes, I suppose. Good night to begin?

Hucka D.:

We’ve already begun, baker b.! We’ll will begin more, then. Petemond. You are there.

bb:

I’m going to, er, recreate Peter’s Cross as soon as possible. Do I have the right location?

Hucka D.:

You do indeed. You do indeed.

bb:

The Bill are from here as well?

Hucka D.:

Yes. The Bill. Ancients.

bb:

Can we briefly discuss a philosophy about the sinks. I’m counting 6. Let me go through what I’m thinking, and then you can add comments.

Hucka D.:

Ok.

bb:

Sinks, first of all, are sacred spots. They should never be covered…

Hucka D.:

Except. Sorry… go ahead…

bb:

Maybe special circumstances?

Hucka D.:

Yes. [delete 1 exchange] Ideally they shouldn’t be filled with water either, or at a minimum level.

bb:

There are only 2 that are obviously directly north and south of each other, like the Egg Hill and Chasm Deep sinks of Corsica. These just happen to be the 2 I live between now. The Aotearoa and Otaki sinks.

Hucka D.:

Now you’re cooking…

bb:

Aotearoa is the Maori name for New Zealand. 4 of the 6 sinks would occupy basically 1 sim each, including Aotearoa and Otaki (Gorge). The other two would also logically be named for the inclusive sims, or Blackmount and Lill Burn (Valley), 2 more New Zealand derived names, and both from the Southland. In fact, if I’m reading this map correctly, it looks like Blackmount and Lill Burn Valley in Southland are right next to each other. Yet in Second Life, although the 2 namesake sims are directly east and west of each other, there are a number of sims between the 2, two more sims to be exact, as I’m checking. These are Morton Mains and Arrowtown. We’ve already mentioned Arrowtown in this blog a couple of times, Hucka D.

Hucka D.:

East and west, like Aotearoa and Otaki are north and south of each other. Looks like you have an implied right angle from these 4 one sim sinks, baker b. We have made a start but we better end here for tonight.

bb:

Thank you.

Sunklands East

Baker heads east along Route 10 for his first trip around Sunklands since renting the Aotearoa property. Route 10 also runs just south of my property, within very easy reach of the Edwardston Station Gallery.

Baker finds lots of abandoned vehicles along the way.

Snapshot3050_001smaller

Snapshot3050_002smaller

Perhaps interesting, derepaired gazebo in Numbat, two sims east and one sim south of Aotearoa. I may have more to say about it soon.

Snapshot3050_003smaller

Then another couple of sims down the road is the second largest of the Sunkland sinks, called simply the Oolamoo-Drews sink for now (for the 2 sims it is located within). To remind, Baker Bloch has already rented in Oolamoo, as well as Lill Burn Vallery in Sunklands. So the Aotearoa rental is technically his third stop in Sunklands, although by far the largest venture.

Back to Oolamoo, which Baker is standing in below at the nice bridge over the Oolamoo-Drews Reservoir, we’ll call it. Like the sink, the reservoir extends over both of these sims, one can say, although the water level in Drews is about 10 meters lower than in Oolamoo. A phantom wall also separates the 2 parts of lake on the border between the 2 sims. Hucka D. has indicated that half of the sink, and, by assoc., half of this lake at its bottom, has been well protected or restored (Oolamoo side), while half remains still in development (Drews side). Hucka D. has also strongly hinted that The Arab ship use to be located in this pool, and, if so, in a larger, past version of the lake, most likely. I’m sure this story will also be developed more quite soon.

Snapshot3050_004smaller

There are a number of lakes in Oolamoo, although all of an “artifical nature” save for the Oolamoo-Drews Reservoir. Now as far as I can tell, the whole Oolamoo sim is owned by the Roseheart Rental Community, which I rented my really nice cottage from near the eastern line of the sim, and near the top of the very waterfall Blochs is staring at below. However, this water system is unconnected to the Oolamoo-Drews reservoir, which has no feeder streams, at least presently. Instead this particular stream empties into a lake on a ridge just to its north. As Baker Bloch is checking now, the water level of the Oolamoo side of the O-D Reservoir is 45 meters (again, 10 higher than the Drews side), while the smaller, ridge lake here lies at the 70 meter level. And at the top of that waterfall pictured below is positioned another nice, smaller lake of a more circular design. This is the lake Baker’s cottage was situated upon, a place he might rent out again sometime.

Snapshot3050_007smaller

Baker sitting on the shores of the 70 meter high ridge lake, taking in the views.

Snapshot3050_010smaller

Snapshot3050_011smaller

We’ll save the story of Roseheart Rental Community’s extension into the almost equally scenic Nedben sim to the north of Oolamoo for another time. 🙂 I will add here that I consider the Oolamoo sim probably one of the prettiest mainland sims I’ve yet to encounter. There’s no “gristle” showing here atall, unless you count the fairly high amount of scripts running in the sim.

Chatters…

Plant:

I think you should go ahead and tell him tonight, Hucka Bee.

Hucka D.:

I’m not… here he is…

bb:

Hi fellows. What are you two hiding from me? I can tell something.

Hucka D.:

Oh (looks at Plant) we’re just discussing the future. Past and future. And how the two mingle and interact in logical but seemingly, linearly speaking, illogical ways.

Plant:

Tell him about page 156.

bb:

What’s this?

Hucka D.:

Plant has some theories. More than theories, since thoughts become reality. Plant has a certain line of probabilities he’d like — he’s requesting to explore.

Plant:

We think we know how to get to your 4th dimension, baker Beach. (looks smugly at Hucka D.)

bb:

Like the Flatland idea? Well… lemme guess again: the tube?

Plant:

You know I had to get the tube by giving up my career with Led Zeppelin. Not giving it up (blows out)… well, anyway, I was then 18 and 59 at once. Present met up with past to make a continuous loop. Like your Klein bottle, perhaps. Bottle… tube.

bb:

I’m not under…

Hucka D. (interrupting):

We need you to do some experimenting. Obviously, you need to play around with the Peter Cross tomorrow — today. That’s the old center of Petemond. Maybe.

Plant:

Perhaps.

Hucka D.:

We need you, as you’ve kind of guessed, to start thinking about the tui bird of New Zealand. The Kiore rat is a natural enemy. How do these interact in Aotearoa or New Zealand? And is Aotearoa just the north island or is it both islands?

bb:

Peter said “teu e, teu e,” or something to that effect.

Hucka D.:

Also: BROOK. (pause) Rent that CD from the music library.

bb:

I will!

Hucka D.:

What else? (puts finger on chin in thoughtful position) Plant? (looking over to Plant)

Plant:

Let’s see… there’s 234. The reader is still creating what’s being read, in a Philip Dickian kind of way. Like Red Dwarf…. Bladerunner.

bb:

What about Big Island now? Does it have any more tales to tell?

Hucka D.:

We better end tonight. Just think of Plant’s request, and also the Peter Cross. We’ll take it from there, then.

bb:

Thank you both.

Sink Uncovered (!)… For Now

Well, since I inserted these pictures into the blog, my neighbor to the north (who, again, owns, still owns, the rest of the Aotearoa sim save one 512 parcel which we shared borders of) has put his land up for sale, and then retracted the sale, instead putting a slice of land next to the road up for sale. Don’t know exactly what his plans are, but I’m one to talk about having second thoughts about property (!).

Snapshot1352_001smaller

From the other direction (south) comes a new “threat” of unknown dimensions. Now I’ve seen this type of distortion in Rubi when I was working across a lot of ban lines, but not, admittedly, on my home computer, whose domain this picture comes from (as do about all the SL pictures from this blog, in fact).

Snapshot1352_004smaller

The source of the “distortion” was this simple pill shape, which is actually glowing (I had my particle effects off for some reason)… labeled an avatar, although obviously not one there, I don’t think. It’s the name of the avatar who owns the land.

Well, it’s not there today for Karoz to recheck.

Snapshot1352_005smaller

Peter Cross?

“Ok guy… guys?… I’ve made the cross and put it up on top of the skybox. You fellows there?”

Plant:

I am beginning to take over again. We can talk about my probability line again now, if you wish. I would suggest it, though.

bb:

Hi Plant. You and Marty still buddies?

Plant:

Through thick and thin.

bb:

I’m having a little problem with my co-worker. Want to talk about that?

Plant (a bit agitated):

Alright, alright. 5 minutes, though. Then to my project.

bb:

Well, how do you deal with someone with that kind of syndrome?

Hucka D.:

I will take over for 4 1/2 minutes. You be kind to them. You recognize their limitations. You work within those limitations. You see the advantages of working with someone like that. You give him a cookie now and zen.

bb:

We don’t have any money.

Hucka D.:

Neither do they. Yet you take a 15 minute break each morning…

bb:

I’m not going start buying food…

Hucka D.:

Coffee every now and zen might be nice.

bb:

I bought him a map.

Hucka D.:

Right. Ask him about his birthday. Ask him about war. Peace and war. Obama. McCain. Palin. The price of eggs in Nebraska. Don’t think about the syndrome when… well, it irritates you understandably when someone continually talks about themselves.

bb:

Yeah [duh].

Hucka D.:

This is a dilemma. Maybe you should talk to [delete name] after all. Map out a future for the lad.

bb:

I have more pressing matters this coming week. I’m behind.

Hucka D.:

Anyway, here’s Plant back.

Plant:

Finished?

bb:

I suppose.

Plant:

Good you made the cross tonight. You found Key Rock as well. Giant key, it is. Hucka D. and I are both excited at this new development. Aren’t you excited?

bb:

Yes. (smiles)

Plant:

Key Rock will unlock the dimensional doorway. (pause)*

bb:

Between RL and virtual life?

Plant:

Yes. Toys are there. Marbles this time. 3rd life. Give it a read.

bb:

Ok.

****

bb:

You still there Plant?

Plant:

Couple more minutes, then cooked.

bb:

How did you and Marty sort things out?

Plant:

Tui is in control now. The bird, not the person. But the person is… (pause)

bb:

Birdsong is the key, then.

Plant:

You remember the third part now. The Beatles part.

bb:

Something about Ringo Starr. I can’t remember details.

Plant:

You then have the triangle complete: Birdsong, Gilmore, [Beatles]. The VHS tape. Maybe you should bring it up to Gary.

bb:

May-be.

Plant:

Dean has obviously moved on. That’s good. You’ll see him this week.

bb:

Nice. Back to Key Rock.

Plant:

You will “live” there when you get older. The blue feather you found was the key. Birds again. Blue feather… blue drake.

bb:

So Blue Drake is involved as well… makes sense.

Plant:

So you have tube, throat, warbling, birdsong in general, Key Rock, feather-key… put pictures of The Bird’s place in this blog as well.

bb:

What of The Rat?

Plant:

Everyone will listen to it, of course. Saw-chee, Chesaw. Left behind. Gone but not forgotten and so on.

bb:

Obvious that I had to move back to the mainland, Mr. Plant.

Plant:

You have your instructions and guidance.

bb:

Thank you both.

*****

* Key Rock was discovered by myself just today, hidden in a tangle of forest on the ridge atop Denville that I’ve already provided pictures for in August. This is the first time I’ve been back to this ridge in the meantime. I will attempt to go back, perhaps this weekend, and take more pictures. Begin to map out the intricracies.

I should also add here that the Key Rock area is kind of a poor man’s alternative to Dark Side, perhaps (Darkside was another intended goal that day that I didn’t get around to visiting). But it’s considerably closer to my house and also more accessible in general… I think. The ridge is more protected as well… special.

S. and W. of Sunklands, 01

Heading south from Edwardston Station Gallery beyond Sunklands territory, at least as defined by this map.

Took Karoz a while to refind this, but it’s in the Campbell Plateu sim about 500 meters west of the ESG, and represents one of the only nature spots Baker Bloch found this night. Just a couple of waterfalls, couple of rocks, couple of trees, but at least it’s something. Actually the lack of nature in the immediate area of Aotearoa makes my landscaping efforts look 1/2 good.

Snapshot1354_002smaller

There’s a lot of empty terrain in the immediate area. Now I’m really one that appreciates empty spaces like this. Others might look at it and say, how can I completely fill this void with “stuff”, or at least the portion one can afford to buy/rent. I always like to work with the landscape as is first, and then make changes according to that. For example, I *always* revert land I’ve bought/rent to the original state, just to see the “natural” lay of the land. Basically, for example, the new Sunklands property is reverted landscape, with some digging down to place the waterfall and a little more terrain editing to make sure, for example, that stairs can be reached, and so on. But not a drastic amount by any means. And I think that’s the attraction to owning a considerable amount of land, say close to 8192, like I have in Aotearoa. Not by filling it with “stuff”, necessarily, but almost, um, restoring the land to what it should be. Linden trees and vegetation and rocks are an essential to any such restoration. Sculpted plants should not be used in excess, in my opinion, but a balance between Linden plants and sculpted or higher prim plants should be made, weighing toward the former in most cases. One of my complaints is that no new Linden plants have been created in a while, at least that I know of. I’ll research that subject for a later post, though. Moving on…

Snapshot1354_004smaller

Snapshot1354_007smaller

Finally, a decent sized “town” is found, but with little of the charm of even Little Robert Plant Variant’s Nowtown, say. As Karoz is checking behind Bloch today, he’s discovered a couple of other mall type areas near this region unfound by this particular Baker on his explorations of the night before. But, again, nothing really earth shattering… nothing, again, that even approaches the interest level of even Nowtown/Zen City, for me at least.

Snapshot1354_008smaller

Speaking of sculptie plants, here’s a store in the area I’d thought I’d take a picture of just to show the type of plants I usually don’t like to use on my properties. Just a personal preference. I prefer plants that look like world plants, and not like they’re from another planet altogether. Again, I’m pretty conservative, I suppose, when it comes to ground cover. Skyboxes might be a somewhat different matter… have to think on that more as well (esp. considering I’m planning to start work on a fairly large skybox asap).

Snapshot1354_010smaller

More relative emptiness.

Snapshot1354_013smaller

Baker unexpectantly stumbles upon an infohub in Exxilon (some connection with Exxon?), but, perhaps curiously, not named for the sim it’s located within. Instead the name is Akira Info Hub,

Snapshot1354_014smaller

Baker doesn’t like to hang around Infohubs, especially relatively unattractive ones like this. So he quickly moves on up the road…

(to be continued)

S. and W. of Sunklands, 02

This semi-interesting patch of land is found by Ol’ Runnin’ Baker in the southwest corner of Reverie, just past the Akira info hub just discussed in the last post. Baker is running on an unpaved Linden protected roadway. In looking at Fleep Tuque’s handy map of current or projected Jeogeot roadways, see that this is a part of Route 9.

Snapshot1354_015smaller

A little further up Route 9, then, Baker spies a mountain to the west. He knows an isolated highland region exists there; will have to certainly go back and take pictures for the blog soon.

Snapshot1354_018smaller

A camera shy, animated bunny Baker encounters just off the roadway in Strata, on banned land however. Quite a bizarre spectacles, um, spectacle.

Snapshot1354_022smaller

Pink Floyd symbolism encountered along Route 9 somewhere as well (Moon + Wall again, or Moonwall).

Snapshot1354_024smaller

Baker runs into a short tempered security orb which forces him to teleport quickly away. He chooses what he know will be a safe nearby haven: Lill Burn Valley, not far to the west. *This* is how a dry sink should look folks!

Snapshot1354_025smaller

Then this same night Baker decides to head over to Big Island in the Comet Archipelago as well, just the reminisce about the old days (old like 1 month ago!). But realistically Big I. still has to go. As of today have less than 2 days left on my tier. Too much happening in Sunklands and also Chilbo (and Ephant for that matter… although that may go soon too).

Chatty…

“You need a focus in this world closer than Beach Mtn. and Darkside. Key Rock may give you this. Keyrock. Castle Rock.”

bb:

Was there a castle inside this rock, Hucka D.?

Hucka D.:

Buy your marble track. Marbles. Red, green, blue, yellow and odd. Meeting of your county and Bridee of Mythos that begins Wazob. 3rd Life that returns to 1st. Winesap. Go the whole day… take the book. Read. Look. Key. Lock and key.

bb:

Thank you.

Loose Notes, Then Chatting?

In Aotearoa skybox, I’m sure I’ll put some version of Big E or Big Schwa, displaying my involvement with the Jeogeot continent starting in May of this year. Obviously since I’m now rooted in the heart of Sunklands territory for a while (Xmas? beyond?), this story will continue. Started with Karoz taking over exploring tasks from Baker Bloch for a spell upon move to Noru. Focuses were Chilbo (south) and Korean Channel (northwest). “Best route” to the Korean Channel (and also Chilbo in a more minor tone) were explored. Karoz eventually switches from Chilbo circle to Crabwoo circle in “middle” of Korean Channel, and simultaneously, exploring switches back to Baker Bloch. Crabwoo seen as inadequate double to Chilbo on the Maebaleia continent. Meanwhile Blood Dr. is finished… so much information since May! Little Robert Plant Variant is “born” between Crabwoo and Chilbo, in effect, and is found to have been raised in Nowtown, next to Zen City on the west coast of Jeogeot. Next he moved to Sternberg, where he was suppose to meet Page and form Led Zeppelin, variant style. Instead he found out he was both 18 and 59, and was instead given the tube that represents the Zeppelin career, already completed. Page chose not to join. Blochs had to explore Nowtown [instead of Karoz] because of pay bans there, but it was fate. Rubisea then discovered on the Maebaleia continent. Hucka D. claims it was original SL land, and where Baker Bloch and Baker Blinker were “born”, perhaps.*** Represents 1/12th or 1/13th of Blue Feather Sea which Crabwoo is situated upon (one corner anyway). Is original ur note of SL, the Red C or Red Sea, thus: Ruby Sea or Rubi Sea or Rubisea. Unexplored connections between Rubisea and the Rubi Forest. Has light (sunny) and dark (moon, werewolf) side. Represents anima and animus in ways, like Baker Bloch and Baker Blinker to me. Light half in Blue Drake sim, thus origin of story that Blue Drake is source of Blue Feather (Sea). Original note, again, which turns into the 12 notes [or 13; Baker’s Dozen] of the Blue Feather Sea. Feather is bigger than bird/duck in this manner. Later Bluedrake connected with yellow duck of Boulder in RL. *The* Blue Drake. Connection between Rubisea and Rydal Water of England’s Lake District made, as well as Grasmere L. for neighboring, larger lakes (but still considerably smaller than Blue Feather Sea itself, the largest of the inland lakes of Maebaleia).
Robert Plant Variant is then found to have gone to Sunklands after moving away from Nowtown/Zen City and/or Sternberg. Sunklands is below Sternberg, and also X-ville and Y-borough briefly mentioned in this blog. Y-borough is Crabwoo-like. Plant may have also lived in Quetzal for a spell. But Sunklands then becomes a focus for a time, with Baker Bloch renting in, first, the westernmost sunk (Lill Burn Valley) and then the easternmost (Oolamoo/Drews). Speculation about this eastern sink, the second largest, harboring The Arab that R. Plant talks so much about with his oh so loud mouth. I still think this is true — get to that more in a minute. Baker Bloch sinks or disappears into Sunklands, and I speculate that my time in SL is basically done, except for some gallery maintenance. Then whole Corsica Prime-Pennsylvania stuff arose, and I was back in the thick of SL things. Resonation focused on what became Egg Hill Sink, found fellow collager had lived in bottom — fish bowl in center. Parallel sink directly south in Chasm Deep sim mostly. Two, I believe, are linked in a Klein bottle type relationship — that’s how they were formed. Original site of Petemond in Egg Hill Sink? This may be wrong now, but *Centerville* was certainly in the upper sink of the two (Egg Hill). Connects with K.C. Life a/v synch in that Centerville is in exact center of this 2 movie synchronicity, with Kansas all around. Kansas here obviously is same as Pennsylvania — even 2 states are involved. This is pre-SL in many ways. Klein bottle situation between the 2 involved sinks is pre-SL, and probably disappeared when the Linden grid was superimposed on the landscape.
Briefly contemplated buying land in Egg Hill sink before fully understanding relationship with Chasm Deep sink and Klein bottle relationship.
Then the whole Big I./ Comet Archipelago story came along right after this, another big chunk of information centered by the Trivia Ratsuit Uncyclopedia entry. Big I. used to seal up runny (Pennsylvania) mess of Corsica Prime. Corsica Prime becomes a row of 12 notes in 4 permutations: original, reversed, inverted, reversed inverted. This continues idea of Blue Feather Sea as 12 notes of scale (7 and 5). Sealing of Corsica energy on Big I. is connected with West Virgnia state and The Jug. The Jug represents memory of Egg Hill Sink and Chasm Deep sink as a Klein bottle situation. Also identified with Blood Dr. and Dr. Blood, which is the same as Blood Doctor and Doctor Blood, also from Pennsylvania (Blood Rd. and Blood Settlement, later Marienville, and the connection of Corsica, Pennsylvania into all this). Sim named for Philip Dick works help identify central axis of Corsica Prime and its 2 central sinks. Big I. mythology developed to contain sealed up energy of Pennsyvania via Blood Dr./Dr. Blood through hole on island asssoc with Rat, formerly Saw-chee apparently. Story of Chesaw and Saw-chee playing Trivia Ratsuit to save the world from penguins, and start up virtual reality in Pieland (original name of Big I.). Big I. is surfacing of Pieland into SL grid. Locked into place through Comet Archipelago. Friend Flynn moves to what was originally called Chesaw Island, and where Chesaw lived before moving to Big Island. Chesaw I. rumoured to have a Money Pit, but the pit was the hole on Big I. instead, also identifed through Flynn as resonating into Tron’s Flynn and Tron itself. A 3rd Life was seen beyond Second Life inside the hole. Sealed up to protect, assoc. with Cthulu mythos through Derleth, but also connections to SL friend Headburro Antfarm. A way to connect stories. Hucka D. claims to have lived on Big I. as well, but in form of purple obese alien, or perhaps just pregnant alien. Has 5 kids, named after fingers on hand. The Arab brought her and 6 others to Big I. She went “native”. She was like Mary Ann of the crew, and so identified with Kansas, it seems. Middle was key (named after Middle Finger) because he retained memory of The Jug/Klein bottle. This seals up memory of Peter, who at least formed Sunklands on Jeogeot, and perhaps the 2 Corsica Prime sinks as well, similarly dry ones. Corsica Prime [through Pennsylvania] becomes the symbol of Pinky, or One Pink. Which may also be the same as Big I. (?).
Scene shifts back, then, to Jeogeot as Baker Bloch purchases land in heart of Sunklands, in Aotearoa. Largest sink seems to have been created by Dr. Blood, or Blood Dr. No, Dr. Blood. Who may be the same as an Aorta??
But the big sink and what it means is key. And the Big Sink (same as Big I… may be a connection (!))* has been corrupted, perhaps beyond repair since it spans so many sims and belongs to so many avatars at once. Some of the smaller sinks have been repaired (Lill Burn Valley, Otaki Gorge, Oolamoo/Drews, at least 1/2 of it).
Theory: to heal the 2nd largest sink totally and not just in part, Saw-chee has to don the rat suit and loose the Trivia Ratsuit game to Chesaw. The wall between Oolamoo and Drews is this game, perhaps. Anyway Dr. Blood created the largest sink [apparently called Big Sink now, associated somehow with Big I. through “Big Ink”], or was its culmination. Sunklands was created in 2004-2009. Sealed up by Klein bottle relationship between Doctor Blood and Blood Doctor, which seems to be the same as the relationship between the 2 sinks of Corsica Prime.
Dr. Blood also has something to do with the original blood red color of Rubisea on the Maebaleia continent, fed now by Unnasty Branch and quite pure and clear in contrast to previous times.
The collage 10×10 was created at the same time as Sunklands of SL. The sinks literally did not exist in complete form until at least 2007, maybe 2008. Before my entrance as Baker Blinker/Baker Bloch into SL, Sunklands was not solidified. Only at this moment did it cystallize as it appears now on maps.
Forgot to even mention the 2 rabbit holes further linking Maebaleia and Jeogeot, and, more specifically, the Rubisea area (Lake District) and Sunklands. Study difference between “wet” and “dry” sinks.**
Collages find perhaps their true home in Aotearoa in new and hopefully improved Edwardston Station Gallery (beyond “borg cube” original nature, as culminated in Horisme version just before b_hivia creation in Noru). Introduction of collage 10×10 into scene is another way to heal Sunklands.

Hucka D.:

I have nothing to add much except to saw that my 5 fingers were all black children, poor, and barely with clothes. But we lived on a tropical island so not much care there. Middle is a key, yes. They’re all keys.

111414---Grand-Piano-Keyboardweb_Full

I loved them so. I spoiled Pinky. He always went wee wee wee all the way back home when he ran into mainland money trouble. He grew up to be Dr. Blood. He grew up to be Peter. Peter formed Sunklands, not you, baker b. Baker Bloch. You created the collage 10×10, though. Tell me how that works again sometime.

bb:

I’ll attempt it soon. Thanks.

*****
* a transitional archetype between Big I. and Big Sink may be Big Ink, but we’ll see about that.
** Hucka D. indicated to me that both rabbit holes, which are, in effect, one rabbit hole, are created by the Ancients that I encountered in various ways at the beginning of this blog (Baker Blinker and Shakenstein, Baker Bloch and Mr. Low).
*** Hucka D. has since indicated to me that this is where Baker Blinker and Baker Bloch were *married*, or where they spent their honeymoon. Lake District.

Notes:

I wish to talk about Middlebourne next to The Jug (“middle”) asap. Perhaps mention Sistersville and annual marble festival there (think it was held in Sep. already).

http://www.tylerstarnews.com/page/content.detail/id/501042/Sistersville-hosts-annual-festival.html?nav=5008

Perhaps go to the festival and tell about marbles “living” around Key Rock (only Key Rock pop place in US is in WV as well, but in southern part of state).

* Maybe the marble track proposed at Key Rock in Denville will be a symbol of the windy Middle Island Creek, called the longest creek in the world in this article…

Map of loopy Middle Island Creek provided here as well…

http://www.find-your-roots.com/familyhistory.html

* Perhaps play around with idea that Key Rock is also called Finger Rock, as in middle finger. Perhaps devise a ring to put on this finger. Is this ring the fuchsia diamond?? Made by Karoz?

* Fuchsia diamond, then, perhaps made (or cut or faceted) by Karoz, the “carver”, for a wedding. Middle finger, though, is not ring finger, which would instead be the 4th finger instead of the 3rd. Fashion an “artificial” fuchsia diamond ring for Finger Rock, then?

Flickr site of someone from Sistersville:

I *luv* this set and the comments. Probably not, but could be genius.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/timboduke/sets/72157601592620457/

Apparently I’ve stumbled upon at least a faintly famous flickr personality. Called the “Mark Twain of Flickr” in this review. I can kind of see it!

http://www.pansoot.com/PANSOOT/links.html

Castle Rock, WV seems to have the alternate title of Key Rock.

Castle Rock and Key Rock are also found in this list of fake rocks…

http://www.fakerock.com/sizes.htm

Key Rock is the cheapest on the list at 10 dollars and Castle Rock is 12th cheapest at $65.*

Free ad for the good folks at Rock It! then…

rocketlogo

Reminded that Rocket Boys was set in WV as well. Made into a movie called October Sky, which is an anagram of Rocket Boys… no way I could have guessed that!

*****

* If this list is an octave of 12 notes starting at middle C, then Key Rock would be midde C (like Middle Island Creek, Middlebourne, and The Jug in the middle of Middle Island Creek as well), and Castle Rock would be B# next to the higher C above it. Minimum dimensions of Key Rock at Rock It! are same as marble block from Marble Falls sent to Washington to become part of the Washington Monument: 2x3x4 (except *12* times less tall being inches instead of feet). Marble again, then… a pattern.

polykeyrockdim

Picture of fuchsia diamonds from this blog. Make up part of 65 prims available at Hucka D.’s old homestead, Cabron, before its deletion from the grid. 65 again, then, just like the price of Castle Rock in the fake rock list above. And prims in SL are the real money behind the Lindens.

Is Key Rock the same as the fuchsia diamond? There’s now more reasons to believe this, but too complicated and all secrety and stuff to go into more in this post.

Peiland Gone, Ephant… Good For Now…

New structure at the bottom of Sunklands, since removed in the intervening time between the insertion of these photos and the creation of the attached text. Currently there’s nothing on the bottom of the Aotearoa sink. Could change in, well, a heartbeat.

Snapshot3600_004smaller

The Baker Family’s first sighting of Santa this year. How exciting! And two of them ta boot.

Snapshot3600_006smaller

And Belkie Bear! Now I personally run like hell when I see this bear approaching me in malls and stuff, but Karoz seems unfazed by the appearance. I hate Belkie Bear; long story (can’t remember it myself but it’s long standing… ask the wife). But, anyway, I don’t really think this is Belkie Bear pictured below. Here’s a comparison shot. No, in looking at it now this SL bear is obviously merely a bear in a Santa costume, and probably no relation to Belkie Bear at all. What a relief.

Some last shots of Big Island after I deleted the ground house, wrecked steamer, and about everything else except the palm trees.

The unframed portrait of Lord Chancellor Chesaw, now half buried in the sand where the house once stood. Will we ever know the full story?

Snapshot3601_010smaller

Then after deleting all the non-vegetative objects on the Big Island property, hopped over to Ephant to decide that particular rental’s fate as well. I decided it will stay… for now. As I’m writing this text, the rent’s about up again, actually. Another decision time.

Chatsy

“Good to get that over with.”

bb:

Sunklands next? Further than the beginning.

Hucka D.:

Plant has come along again.

Plant:

Hi.

bb:

Plant, do you work for Hucka D.?

Plant:

Not really. Nor Marty. Nor Lemon. Nor Petemond or Peter for that matter. I’m a free agent. I came into this affair with [no strings attached].

bb:

Sunklands, you mean.

Plant:

I had to give up my career, but not really. It was all in the tube then. But Dr. Blood came along. I was there at the beginning for that as well.

bb:

You’re talking about Big Sink, then. Big Island or Big I. is gone, Mr. Plant.

Plant:

That’s ok. Let it go.

bb:

The two are not that different in size and shape, though: Big I. and Big Sink.

Plant:

Peter made the sinks from Norumbega.

bb:

You’re talking about [delete name], then.

Plant:

That’s what I said: Peter.

bb:

These have something to do with the Sunk Lands of Arkansas. And also Sunklands of Missouri. Both, perhaps equally, although the two are on very different scales physically.

Plant:

It is predicted that you would come and live in Sunklands among us, past present future. We are Petemond.

bb:

Did The Bill make the central Petemond cross… the one I’ve “recreated” on the new property?

Plant:

Lemon drew The Bill in. He was a Firehead. Lemonhead. Marty said ok, just like I said ok when Page decided not to join our adventure in Sternberg. I understood that part.

bb:

You were and are a team, just like Marty and Lemon. You saw that in them.

Plant:

I respected that. I had… have my problems with Marty, but who could live with Lemon? Marty did a spectacular job of putting up with him. The rest as well. But, of course, he was the heart.

bb:

Of The Beetles.

Plant:

He was a Lemonhead. He, in a way, started all of this. Dr. Blood came in later.

bb:

We need to talk more about those rabbit holes sometime. You or Hucka D. and I. Or perhaps Marty. Lemon?

Plant:

Peter.

bb:

Back to the cross idea, then. So the cross was made and Peter entered it. Time became simultaneous in nodes. The celestial roundabout.

Plant:

It is a clock whose alarm is set for 2062 [delete 2 sentences].

bb:

What is the Peter Dunne mechanism?

Plant:

A synchronicity charter. Defining List. Tronesis.

bb:

Is he the same as Hucka D.?

Plant:

Might be. We’ll see [soon enough].

bb:

What about Peter Gabriel… Variant? Is he, I mean, a variant, like yourself?

Plant:

He is the only one that’s *not*.

bb:

Tronesis is close in spirit to Dark Side of the Rainbow. My closest synch to that. Not MessianSphere.

Plant:

Tronesis has always been a problem for you, hasn’t it? Not in the center but central in importance. A dichotomy. You deal with this by not dealing with it. Set it aside. Logical.

bb:

Sunklands, though, was created in 2004-2008, or the same time as the collage 10×10 now exhibited in its heart.

Plant:

Hucka D. wants to look at your collages again soon, baker Beach.

bb:

I have been thinking the same thing, not surprisingly.

Plant:

You are not really the same as Hucka D. You can just predict what he can say quite often. You don’t put words in his mouth. You just pick up on what he’s about to say, or what he’s thinking.

bb:

Interesting. Separate entity. Of course I knew that all along.

Plant:

Sunklands is very real. Perhaps the most real place for you in this virtual reality. You know Peter made it [from Norumbega].* You know that there are two major sinks and 4 minor, 1 sim sinks. You live between 3 sinks now. As much in the middle as you can possible get. Petemond. Cross. Clock… mechanism. Wind it up. See where it takes you.

*****

bb:

I was going to say thank you, but let’s continue just a little more. The Big Sink was created, along with all the others, perhaps at the same time. Petemond, maybe was the first settlement. The cross was created first. Peter’s Cross. All was built around that. It is an alphabet.

Plant:

Of The Bill. That’s what Lemon got out of them. Center becomes important. Beyond SID. Core.

bb:

In a way this is Arizona and New Mexico at once. A small town within, perhaps in one state, then the other. Or both at once. AZ-NM. AlMaNoZ.*

hidalgoeye01small.jpg

Plant:

One had no idea what was to come when it started. Spectacular. Spectacles.

bb:

But this, in a way, is coded into the Greenup collage series on the bottom floor of the Edwardston Station Gallery, Mr. Plant.

Plant:

Yup.

bb:

Is [Peter’s Cross] the same as the cross in the 10×10?

Plant:

Hucka D. is here now.

Hucka D.:

Seathwaite Fell, yes. S.F.

bb:

I suppose I should start reading Floydadada again.

Hucka D.:

Yes. Goodnight.

bb:

Thanks.

*****

* I suspect that New Mexico’s Charles Nelson Blinkerton may play a role in this discussion soon as well.

From Chilbo to Genesis…

Karoz starts another dance in the jazz club in Chilbo. Don’t worry, though, he didn’t take it nearly as far this time…

Snapshot3565_007smaller

Ancient Chilbo? (found in a neighboring shop to the club just before the dancing began, I suppose)

Snapshot3565_008smaller

Soon the dance ended at the Crazy Diamond sim, where Baker Bloch heads sometimes when he’s itching for a twitch as well. Instead, Karoz touches something on the dance floor and suddenly finds himself in this nifty prog rock museum. The below pictures were taken in the large Genesis skybox section of the museum, very meaningful since regular blog readers may recall that Peter Gabriel (yes, young’ns, he was an original member of Genesis, when they were really *good*) has been mentioned a number of times now by Hucka D., and very recently again as well. Hucka D., or, sorry, Plant I believe, said that Peter Gabriel was the only musician of Sunklands that was *not* a variant of a RL counterpart (unlike Plant himself, for instance).

Snapshot3565_009smaller

The Lamb Lies Down On, um, Broad Walk? Dunno. I assume it’s the same lamb, though, since it is surrounded by other early Genesis album images (see directly above and below for more). Has to be, don’t you think? Of course. Now, Lamb Lies Down On Broadway, as you may recall, is the audio source of Tronesis also mentioned a number of times already in this blog. Hucka D. had a fascination with it for a time while living on Azure Islands in Spring 08, shortly after he was “reborn” into this virtual world.

Snapshot3565_011smaller

As usual, the ever resourceful Karoz remains a head of the game (sorry).

Baker D.?

“*You* were the pie baker, Hucka D. Not Chesaw.”

Hucka D.:

That is correct. Pieland was named after my pies. I was Mary at the time. Like Mary Anne but without, obviously, the Anne part. Where’s Anne, where’s Anne?

bb:

Mary Blackburn, then? That’s why I have name Annie Blackburn displayed in my office?

Hucka D.:

Chesaw merely advertised my pies. Pieland was named after my pies. Not coconut cream, like Mary Anne’s. Or maybe they were. They’d have to be on that island, I suppose.

bb:

Amazing… your pies. So how did Trivia Ratsuit get started? It’s too much like the pudding contest that started the name Pudding Hollow to be coincidence, perhaps.

Hucka D.:

Pudding Hill was named for its mud, with the consistency of pudding. In those days, you still had rain in what became, later on, your Rosedale SL. At the time, though, Landsaw was Chesaw and his future Pieland. Not separated out yet. Grannie or grandma was still baking award winning pies and puddings and the like, and writing her world famous cookbook. She was de Kamp.

bb:

Campton, you mean. Mary and Grannie and Campton… and Vortex.

Hucka D.:

You have Pudding Hole or Hollow in the southwest corner, and Pudding Hill in the northeast. As you have guessed, Pudding Hole is the very center of Big Sink. In fact, the whole sink use to be named Pudding Hole, although this later became Pudding Hollow. Or visa versa.

bb:

What about Peter?

Hucka D.:

Peter *frames* all this. Peter the Wolfe. These are his memories. Memories of grandma and Mary and pudding and pies. And cookbooks. The cookbook must be central here.

bb:

Did *you* write that cookbook, Hucka D.?

Hucka D.:

I was on the hill. The hole was different. The hill was named after the hole, although in your seeming reality, Pudding Hill was named for the mtn. in New Zealand. It was named so because it was a hill above Pudding Hole. Thus Pudding Hill.

bb:

So who wrote this cookbook. Chesaw? That doesn’t seem to make sense now, since he didn’t make the pies of Pieland, really.

Hucka D.:

Oh he made some later on. They were quite good, actually. That’s what we did there a lot: cook. Bake.

bb:

What do The Bakers, my Bakers, have to do with this?

Hucka D.:

The Bakers were at the center of Big Sink. They moved there from Rubisea in 1780. Shortly thereafter the Trivia Ratsuit contest was held. Chesaw won and Saw-chee lost. Saw-chee donned the rat suit. Pieland was born. The Vortex.

bb:

Chesaw of Pieland is really Saw-chee in disguise?

Hucka D.:

Yes. The real Chesaw stayed in Big Sink, which became Pudding Hole. Or centered by such.

bb;

Is Chesaw Baker Blinker?

Hucka D.:

Yes.

bb:

Startling, then.

Hucka D.:

Yes, isn’t it?

bb:

This must have been the reality that Baker Bloch and Baker Blinker got married in.

Hucka D.:

Mary, yes.

bb:

You moved there with them, then.

Hucka D.:

Yes. I lived in their house…

bb:

Just like you lived with Baker Bloch and Baker Blinker in Azure Islands. Hey, Pieland was in Azure Islands.

Hucka D.:

Is in Azure Islands. It’s the last place you’ll live there, as our house was the first place.

bb:

Let’s see, then, in this probable reality Baker Bloch and Baker Blinker get married, move from Azure Islands to Big Sink.

Hucka D.:

No, they had their first house in Big Sink. But the vortex between Big Sink and Big Island was still open at the time.

bb:

The Temple of TILE, then, was built in Big Sink in that reality…

Hucka D.:

And on the same property in the center of the sink up for sale now. Not coincidence. Pudding Hole.

bb:

Should I buy it?

Hucka D.:

Probably not. Just know what it is. And keep track of its history, of course. The little park beside it is important as well. It was a park of sort then, too. The whole sink was a kind of park in those days. Very pretty. Lill Burn Valley represents a vestige of those days. But it also has its own energy.

bb:

Baker Bloch and Baker Blinker moved specifically to Big Sink to re-create it as Pudding Hole or Hollow.

Hucka D.:

That is correct. The difference is that I created the pies, not Baker Blinker. Although she may have created the pudding. But I helped.

bb:

In that reality you stayed a purple alien.

Hucka D.:

I was a black child. Not African-American, but just the color black. My 5 children on Big I. were all black as well. The 7 were white. We were all keys, like fingers in our case.

bb:

So when, um, you grew up, you turned more purple than black.

Hucka D.:

You know the probable reality where we lived in Big Sink, and Baker Bloch and Baker Blinker were married. Mary. I was with them, but not as a bee, as I am in this reality. But traces remain in this reality. A link is Uli. That’s where I became a bee in this reality, not the black child.

bb:

We should also mention that avatars still had taste buds in those days. (pause)

Hucka D.:

In this alternate reality, or an alternate reality from that alternate reality — which The Bakers tapped into at the time in most of those alternate realities — they were not named Baker, but just bakers. Or Baker Blinker was a baker. Instead their names were Aaron and Abigail. They were from Centerville. Or Centreville. They were and are still the rebis.

bb:

Ok, so you were the master cook. You wrote the cookbook.

Hucka D.:

Pudding Hole cookbook, yes. But really Hollow. More split off realities.

bb:

Or Hill.

Hucka D.;

Yes. Pudding Hill cookbook. Good.

bb:

Obviously this opens up a whole new chapter to our story. I’m going to have to think about the role of The Arab.

Hucka D.:

It was stolen. From the second sink. The second largest sink.

bb:

Little Robert Plant Variant had to go through a purification process in Lill Burn Vallery before he could even enter Big Sink, so sacred it was at the time.

Hucka D.:

There was a lot going on for such a relatively small place. Chesaw missed it when he moved to Big I. But there was no turning back, since he won the contest.

bb:

This contest seems to be central. A baking contest with pies, and then Trivia Ratsuit. All in one.

Hucka D.:

One in all.

bb:

I suppose that better be it for tonight. Thanks as usual. Very interesting.

Hucka D.:

Remember rats have to chew to live, like all of us.

bb:

I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks again.

Hucka D.:

Goodnight.

pic1 009
Hucka D. states this is much like Big Sink use to look in its days as Pudding Hole.

A Quick Chat…

“Hucka D., I’m really starting to sink into Sunklands. I believe I’ll be there past Christmas now.”

Hucka D.:

And why not. You have a correct microcosm. You are seeing how much it magnetizes.

bb:

Do you want to talk about “Baker’s Dozen” tonight?

Hucka D.:

I didn’t know about that beforehand. But of course I did know about it. Both in one. Not a great show but it spreads out. Mabel King. You know that, in one way, the Blue Drake is Steve Martin. Martin. The Jerk.

bb:

That’s a really interesting development (!)

Hucka D.:

It may even help you to create some new collages. Very simple ones, mind you, but still artificial environments. Mabel King was, of course, also in The Wiz, both the play and the movie. She was the Wicked Witch of the West. Michael Jackson stuck by her until the end. She lost 3 limbs to diabetes.

bb:

Cool my (RL)/SL friend Flynn found the “Baker’s Dozen” episode. She has her own trail running through it. The trails converge here.

Hucka D.:

And then separate. King’s Beach… check it out. Chilbo resonation. Automatons. What does that mean?

bb:

I’m unable to refind King’s Beach tonight, Hucka D.

Hucka D.:

Let me tell you what I know about what you know now. You know that “Baker’s Dozen” is an ingredient in the history of Sunklands. Not a major one but it plays a part. Mabel King. The Arab. Mary.

bb:

You are Mabel King. At least as she appears in the role in Sunklands.

Hucka D.:

Correct enough.

bb:

Did you turn Saw-chee into the rat?

Hucka D.:

Yes. I provided the rat suit.

bb:

Very interesting… makes sense. I couldn’t figure out before where the rat suit came from.

Hucka D.:

King Lady Marmalade.

bb:

But you weren’t *evil* in this role.

Hucka D.:

Not really. But I made the rat suit. And I was with The Bakers, just as I was in this probable reality. Am still, of course. Talking to you and all.

bb:

Then you went to Pieland and had the 5 children. Pinky was different. Pinky, or at least Peter, grew up to be the Blue Drake. The white within the black.

Hucka D.:

True enough. It was Guy Lombardo who spurred him on.

bb:

So was Chesaw the ad man for your pies or baked goods in Sunklands?

Hucka D.:

He helped me create the Sunklands famous cookbook, true enough. He advertised it. I stopped the fame at a certain point, just like Ruby stopped hers in Baker’s Dozen.

bb:

Blue Drake is the 13th, isn’t he?

Hucka D.:

*Yes*.

bb:

Is he Jasper?

Hucka D.:

He is Baker.

bb:

Odd how shows like Carter Country stick with you down through the years.

Hucka D.:

Names. Numbers.

bb:

Jasper became a symbol of racism because of that show, for me.

Hucka D.:

And Baker the opposite. “Baker’s Dozen.” The 13th.

bb:

Well obviously we’re not going to finish the story tonight. Or even get a good start on it.

Hucka D.;

Spreads out. Pudding Hole. Trivia Ratsuit. Ratzenberger. Trivia Pursuit wildcard. Racism.

bb:

Thank you.

Hucka D.:

Think of the witch.

bb:

I will.
