As of this writing New Pietmond is no more — for now. I abandoned all Second Life land and returned to a (free) basic membership. Hated to give up the land, but I could tell I wasn’t going to do much with it in February, especially since I’ve now completed (apparently) the Gila series, which I’ll continue to analyze today, hopefully. I tried an experiment on a super cheap parcel in Sansara Snow Land before giving up premium, with interesting result. I’ve kept a record of my brief sojourn there in the first photo below.
Here’s a last shot of New Pietmond. Already in this picture I’d deleted half the town, however.
What I *still* have in Second Life, among some trifles here and there, is this Rubi gallery called “Wiltshire Virtual”, that contains the Gila series along with the Baker Bloch in England exhibit. Seems like a perfect location for it.
There’s a good chance I’ll rent land next to the snow land seen in the first photo. Interesting neighborhood — cool, virtual site. If so, I’ll be at about 20 dollars a month instead of close to 50. At the very most I would have kept New Pietmond around for another month so it was soon to go anyway. Just decided to pull the plug now and put it out of its misery. But I’m not finished with Second Life, and New Pietmond or the equivalent may return later, perhaps this summer. We’ll just see.
