“Did you know, baker b., that Olive was (Egg)born(sville) in Korea and that’s her Homeland? She invented the game of Scrabble. More than that, though…”

bb:

She *is* Korea.

Hucka D.:

*That’s* the meaning of her newly placed Olive head in the diner, her (Olive?) Branch oracle center as I think you wanted to put it.

bb:

It’s an egg (!)

Hucka D.:

Ask Carrcassonnee. No use beating about a bush.

Carrcassonnee:

Are you at my diner?

bb:

*Your* diner. But: yes.

Snapshot11037_002

Carrcassonnee:

Then we can speak. We are speaking. You know that I am Korea. I invented Scrabble. I was Eggborn in this Homeland.

bb:

I think you are Hucka D.

Carrcassonnee:

No. We differ. On certain points.

bb:

I like the curtain. Contrast of red-violet and your yellow-green, olive shaped head.

Carrcassonnee:

That is my head. That is my eye. Captain.

bb:

It seems to neutralize the head or ground it. Then I guess the curtain will be moved during Oracle Time.

Carrcassonnee:

In this position at the Falls, a power place, I have additional thoughts and knowledge.

“Do you…

… have amnesia, Carrcassonnee?”

Big C:

I have backward forgetfulness. I am blank slate. Feed me my reality.

Baker Bloch:

Interesting. You don’t mind if I call you Big C do you?

Carrcassonnee:

Call me Carrcassonnee.

Baker Bloch:

Alright. Done.

Carrcassonnne:

Aren’t you going to ask about my hanging moss?

Snapshot1131_026

Baker Bloch (lying):

It’s nice. What does… it mean?

Carrcassonnee:

It is my arm drape of reality. My arm understands, and will tell the rest of my body soon. Then I will know. I have to wait, let’s see, 50 moons and 20 suns.

Baker Bloch (counting):

That’s over 24 years!

Carrcassonnee:

I can wait. I have nothing else to do except chit chat with the townspeople and give them advise about their own lives.

Baker Bloch:

Let’s reexamine that thought in a moment. So Carrcassonnee…

Carrcassonnee:

Yes?

Baker Bloch:

Do you know about LOST? The tv show I mean.

Carrcassonnee:

Yes?

Baker Bloch:

Then you do know.

Carrcassonnee:

Yes.

Baker Bloch:

Can I ask you some questions about it? That may be why I’m here tonight, and the island formed and the plane crashed. Did you know that the former owner of this land also had a crashed plane — just east of here, not a stone’s throw away. I believe there was an article in the Chilbo press about it. Hold on please, Carrcassonnee…

—–

“Well, I can’t find a picture. Sorry about the delay.”*

Carrcassonnee:

OK. Not OK. Just kidding.

Baker Bloch:

So back to LOST.

Carrcassonnee:

Ask.

Baker Bloch:

Do you know of [delete name]?

Carrcassonnee:

I am told — I peeked at the script this time — that we do not need to talk about that tonight.

Baker Bloch:

Okay, what do you wish to talk about?

Carrcassonnee:

You are here visiting me. You ask.

Baker Bloch:

I think we should talk about LOST.

Carrcassonnee:

Then ask. Don’t ask about the Hanja infohub, don’t ask about Chilbo or Parktown. Ask about LOST.

Baker Bloch:

You seem to be indicating you’d like to talk about local matters.

Carrcassonnee:

Am I? (smiles)

Baker Bloch:

So what about Parktown?

Carrcassonnee:

Parktown and Chilbo both can give you energy if you wish. They have dwindled but are still kindled. You sit between the two — more than ever. You are in upper Norum now and that’s the urban part. Rural has gone bye bye.

Baker Bloch:

Interesting. So you have knowledge of the Norum Woods.

Carrcassonnee:

I have knowledge about Second Life but not First Life. I cannot remember my *user*.

Baker Bloch:

What about this Perch fellow? Are you the same as Perch?

Carrcassonnee:

I am the Head of Perch, so, yes, I am Perch.

Baker Bloch:

Tell me more about this Perch, then, if you can.

Carrcassonnee:

Perch came from Hanjaland, where trees are ferns and ferns are trees. Satin… or Satan… commanded him to… well, he ran away from home. He had to sleep to get away, thus creating Tired Falls. He climbed the falls to House Orange — he fell asleep. Cutting z’s. Omega point. Shadow Man… er, I mean Satin couldn’t follow him into dreams. So he escaped… here.

Baker Bloch:

This sounds like a [somewhat] different story than last night concerning Perch, Carrcassonnee.

Carrcassonnee:

Yes.

Baker Bloch:

You said Perch ran a restaurant… no it was a general store.

Carrcassonnnee:

And the Norum Museum was a bowling alley. (pause)

Baker Bloch:

So there was a….

Carrcassonnee (cutting Baker Bloch off):

Yes.

Baker Bloch:

The Residents.

Carrcassonnee:

Yes. Mass Acre… age.

Baker Bloch:

From the North.

Chilbo Expands to Noru Sim

Residents Olando7 Decosta and Violetta LeShelle have recently purchased a large plot of land on the north end of the Noru sim – two sims north of Chilbo! This effectively expands the borders of the Chilbo Community by quite a lot! Congrats to Olando and Violetta, we’ll all look forward to visiting your new space when it’s ready.

Mystery Plane Crash Near Noru Project (Greater Chilbo)

Violetta Leshelle and Olando7 Decosta are building a living&meeting space in the far away Noru sim. The land is part of Greater Chilbo.

Right now you will find at Noru a box with the invitation for a French language virtual law seminar in Second Life, and if that is not weird enough, also a plane wreck.

The plane crashed nearby the main building without causing fatalities. No bodies were found and it remains a mystery who the pilots were.

Maybe you can find out? Visit the crash scene and tell the true story of what happened! More pictures are available on Flickr…

I briefly visited the site of the plane crash and it was VERY eerie, I kept hearing strange voices and couldn’t figure out where it was coming from… until I realize it was your neighbors on voice! laugh! I was one confused Fleep!

Fleep, you are even more right than you think about the voices. At nights, voices and whisperings are heard on the crash spot. My neighbors got so scared they installed a giant prim to protect themselves.

Obvious LOST references in there. 🙂

Hanjaland.

With recent blog talk about a Hanjaland or Land of Hanja, I thought I’d offer views from Parktown mayor Boyd Doghouse about the actual, (virtual) place.

http://parktownprogress.blogspot.com/search/label/Hanja

And, yes, it’s actually just north and east of Collagesity. I TP over to the infohub every now and then when I’m not doing anything else of note, but haven’t interacted with anyone yet to my knowledge. Remember when visiting that ferns are trees in Hanjaland and should not be uprooted for any reason.

A picture of “Hanjaland” hangs in Collagesity’s official diner, as interpreted by Second Life photographer Melonie Darwin:

“So what…

… happened in the Confluence Place last night, Hucka D.?”

Hucka D.:

Oklahoma. Panhandler. 7th. Consciousness. Tin. 7 to Tin. Panhandle…er.

bb:

Did Carrcassonne steal the soul of Perch?

Hucka D.:

Yes! 3 into 1 and 1 into 3. Trapped. Sealed. Seal. Grey perhaps.

bb:

Is Carrcassonne an oracle?

Hucka D.:

Indeed. (pause)

bb:

I’m not finished working on the Confluence Place. Perhaps a rename is in order. Moard Ling called it a Valley Mansion. But it’s a Valley Mansion plus a Neko statue/monument.

Hucka D.:

Slash?

bb:

We know that Carrcassonne is kind of Oklahoma. 7 is, or are, the original 7 counties of Oklahoma, formed when it was still a territory. The 7th is Beaver County, which use to be the entire Oklahoma panhandle.

Hucka D.:

Handler.

bb:

The 7th here is Carrcassonnee’s new eyeball, beyond the 6 prims of the body. The body is Olive… Oklahoma. And this relates back to The Residents.

Hucka D.:

Everything does eventually.

—–

Snapshot1113_002

bb:

It’s essentially VWX Town’s downtown area recreated, Hucka. I like it.

Hucka D.:

Yes. Running out of prims finally, though, I’ve heard. Condensing is in order soon. You’ll see. Your neighbor helps.

bb:

How do you approach Carrcassonne? From below?

Hucka D.:

You can. Depends on what you want to ask. What do you want to ask?

bb:

Who she is. What she did to Perch.

Hucka D.:

She absorbed Perch as 6 turns to 7 and 3 into 1 slash 1 into 3. She is Perch Plus[ if you will]. Go ask her.

“Hi Carrcassonne.”

Carrcassonnee:

Hi.

Baker Bloch:

How’s it going tonight?

Carrcassonnee:

Pretty good pretty good. What’s up with you Baker Bloch?

Baker Bloch:

I’m okay. Soooo… a little birdie told me that you were an oracle. Are an oracle.

Carrcassonnee:

Okay. OK. I will only say OK from now on.

Baker Bloch:

Are you Oklahoma?

Carrcassonnee:

OK.

Baker Bloch:

Who were you before you had the eyeball?

Carrcassonnee:

I was not OK.

Baker Bloch:

Okay, good. What did you do to this Perch fellow?

Carrcassonne:

I absorbed. OK?

Baker Bloch:

Okay I guess. Was it okay?

Carrcassonnee:

It was OK. Taste like chicken (insert hearty laugh noise here).

Baker Bloch:

That’s a good one I suppose, Carrcassonnee.

Carrcassonnee:

It [the joke?] was OK.

Baker Bloch:

Should I talk to you from below? Like this?

Carrcassonnee:

Come on up. I’ll make room. Have you seen Spider?

Baker Bloch:

Who’s Spider?

Carrcassonnee:

My dog.

Baker Bloch:

I don’t think so Carrcassonnee. Does he live in Collagesity?

Carrcassonnee:

Collasi-what?

Baker Bloch:

Collagesity. That’s where we are now.

Carrcassonnee:

This is Tired Falls. Check the spoon.

Baker Bloch:

Am I dreaming?

Carrcassonnee:

OK. Yes. OK.

Baker Bloch:

I’m coming up. Just have to figure out the best way to do it.

Carrcassonnee:

Fly up the hole. But don’t fly up my bottom [hearty laugh again].

Baker Bloch:

Yes, that wouldn’t be good.

Snapshot1113_011

Carrcassonnee:

Have a seat.

Snapshot1113_015

Carrcassonne:

Let me turn on my light.

Snapshot1113_016

Carrcassonnee:

Ah yes… Baker Bloch. How’s your father doing?

Baker Bloch:

Space Ghost?

Carrcassonnee:

Yes. And Zorak. And Moltar. Haven’t seen those people for ages.

Baker Bloch:

I don’t remember my father.

Carrcassonnee:

That’s sad. That’s not OK.

Snapshot1113_017

Baker Bloch:

Do you have memories of Perch?

Carrcassonnee:

Yes.

Baker Bloch:

Who was Perch?

Carrcassonnee:

Perch was me. Me was Perch.

Baker Bloch:

But who was he? What did he do, where did he come from?

Carrcassonnee:

He came from the lower plains. Hanja. Land of Hanja. Hanjaland. He was called the Foreign One at first. He called himself this on purpose. For-eign-one. He said trees were ferns and ferns were trees. He spoke of Peter a lot. Peter SoSo.

Baker Bloch:

The mysterious Peter SoSo[ again]. Was Perch… Satan?

Carrcassonnee:

Perch rode a horse named Satan. Or was it Satin. His world revolved around that horse. He was both Indian and Cowboy to it. Try not to panic.

Baker Bloch:

Panic? Oh, right, Panic. Like the town.

Carrcassonnee:

The horse had a birthday. Perch planned and planned. He wished to build the horse a barbeque pit. Brick it was. Thick as a. But he ordered too many bricks… he ordered 10x10x10x10x10x10x10x10x10x10…

Baker Bloch:

So this is like the movie… A Town Called Panic.

Carrcassonnee:

What happens after that? They fall into the Earth. That is what happened here.

Baker Bloch:

I’m not really learning much about Perch. So Perch became identified with his horse, who was Satan.

Carrcassonnee:

Satin[ perhaps]. The tire was already in the falls. Orange House was there. And who lived there? Your father.

Baker Bloch:

Space Ghost.

Carrcassonnee:

Yes.

Baker Bloch:

Not sure I believe that.

Carrcassonnee:

Eventually Perch just became a head, and was mounted just like a fish perch in his old digs, which then became a restaurant. Ironically, the best dish is lemon perch.

Baker Bloch:

What about the cardinal?

Carrcassonnee (snapping “fingers”?):

That’s what I meant. Spider is my *cardinal*. I get my directions mixed up. North is South and South is North. Like 3 in one. Like Foreign One.

Baker Bloch:

So Spider is not a dog.

Carrcassonnee:

God?

Baker Bloch:

No, I wrote god by mistake there and quickly changed it to dog.

Carrcassonnee:

Og?

Baker Bloch:

No… let’s move on please.

Carrcassonnee:

Someone else approaches.

Snapshot1113_018

Baker Bloch:

Maybe I better leave. I’ve bothered you enough and you probably have other townspeople asking you this and that.

Carrcassonnee:

Shhhh.

Baker Bloch (much quieter):

OK.

Fine Tuning 01

Collagesity now pretty complete, I feel, on the groundside part. No real big amount of prims left to create something in the sky, and, besides, I want to leave wiggle room for rezzing experiments. So all that’s left it seems is fine tuning. Some pics now…

Snapshot1107_001

As you can see from the above photo there are some new structures in Collagesity, mainly on its eastern side. The nature park I envisioned there might not come about. 😦 On the easternmost part of my property is now situated the Marble Tower (far right above), which made its first appearance in Rubi’s VWX Town this past winter. It had no real function there except to serve as town eyecandy. I’m hoping to change that for this go around, and another collage gallery of some kind is a good bet for a functional fit. The cat statue topped Confluence Place next to it is another direct carryover from VWX Town, but I’ll have to work on the building in my skybox — can’t remember exactly how it was put together there. As I recall, it is a mashup of 2, maybe 3 Moard Ling structures. Now perhaps The Bakers can find out what happened in those far corridors, a 237 type mystery. Twin Peaks symbolism has already cropped up in connection with several Collagesity images/locations. Perhaps this represents another tie-in.

Bracket Jupiter is about to reclaim his second floor home at the Bodega Supermarket. Nifty! He’ll help me figure some stuff out about town mysteries, etc.

Snapshot1107_004
Baker getting frustrated because he cannot remember how the Confluence Place was put together

The Coolie Building has been moved beside the town’s giant maple, and yet another VWX Town structure has taken its place next to the Bodega Supermarket: what was called Edwardston’s Gallery there or Edwardston’s Building perhaps. It’s function in Rubi is described here a bit [LINK].

He was dreaming of Tired Falls. I am tired. He was tired.

He was dreaming of a symbiosis between Tired Falls and Stonethwaite, UK. Exciting (zzzzz).

Talking

bb;

Text mode for editing now, Hucka D.

Hucka D.:

So you’re figuring out the town is actually another collage. Wonderful! Your friend Veyot is picking up on that too. Nice garden by her. You should borrow some flowers for West End.

bb:

I might do that. Bracket Jupiter may be showing up soon. Karoz as well this time.

Hucka D.:

Collagesity is akin to Stonethwaite, yes. Differences: High Way and Low Way. Look up Mississippi. Did I spell that right?

bb:

Well…

Hucka D.:

Never mind.

—–

bb:

Hidi and Lodi, then. That the name of the red and blue robots, Hucka?

Hucka D.:

Yes. They are from Pluto. They are from The Moon.

bb:

Then they are from Charon. Did I spell *that* right?

Hucka D.:

Err…

bb:

Never mind.

Hucka D.:

Oh, you wish to talk more?

bb:

Maybe.

Hucka D.:

Me!

bb:

Meaning you wish to be talked [to] as a blog spirit. But I wish also to talk to others[ again].

Hucka D.:

Me me me!

bb:

But others as well.

Hucka D.:

Who?

bb:

Maybe Collagesity herself has a spirit.

Hucka D.:

Of course! Is it the flamey ballerina. Donna I believe is the name.

bb:

Hmm…

Hucka D.:

Here’s Donna.

Donna:

Hi baker b.! I’m Donna! Please state your questions!

bb:

Hi Donna. I suppose I should shout that.

Hucka D.:

Yes!

Donna:

Question!

bb:

Are you on fire, Donna?

Donna:

That is a question yes and no.

bb:

Are you the head of the stream? Central Stream I believe I’m calling it. Is that the correct name?

Donna:

Yes. Okay! I am the stream.

bb:

Are you twins? Maybe The Twins?

Donna (after a pause):

You are sad.

bb:

Am I?

Donna:

Yes.

bb:

I’m just under pressure now.

Donna:

You are sad because you cannot make contacts.

bb:

Well, it’s just something to go through now.

Donna:

You don’t think people like you. They like you.

bb:

Nah, I don’t think they do.

Donna:

You are just somewhat misplaced now. You can’t help it.

bb:

I’m sure I *chose* this.

Donna:

Don’t be cruel to yourself and others won’t be cruel to you. That’s a quote by Elvis Presley. He’s dead.

bb:

Yes. Didn’t take his [own] advice, perhaps.

Donna:

You are pulling a red doppleganger. Pull a blue to balance.

bb:

Don’t know…

Donna:

Spell my name with one “n”.

bb:

Please?

Donna:

Yes. Please?! (smiles through flowers)

bb (after re-checking):

Dona, you really are one with that flower.

Snapshot1105_004

Flower:

I am the twin. Jesse. He’s dead.

bb:

You are a male, then?

Flower:

Yes. Jes. Se.

bb:

Are you and Dona akin to The Twins from The Shining movie?

Flower:

Jes.

bb:

Are you originally from Rubi?

Hucka D.:

Dona and Flower have talked enough tonight. They will return shortly. They are tired. I am tired. Read please.

bb:

Thanks!

Collagesity Mysteries 01

About a week and a 1/2 ago, an avatar named Tseten Thokmey bought my Hector land for a sum I deemed just barely adequate for the transaction. I loved that land! Still do. I could live around the Rubi forest once again. But look at what Tseten has done: he’s essentially extended the forest into his farm! A bucolic existence he has carved out. More power to him, and I’ll probably have some things to say about Tseten later on. Just yesterday or the day before, land came up for sale bordering the lower part of his farm. Was I tempted to, once more, buy next to the Great Rubi Forest? Yes, a bit. But I realize that I’m committed to Noru, and the hard fought battle is now over with. Time to heal the wounds and not open them up again. Tseten would have made a fantastic neighbor, and, yes, we could have extended his farm and the forest as a whole even further…

Snapshot1101_007

… but, then again, I have a fantastic new neighbor in Noru now! My previous neighbor in Philudoria, Veyot, during the original incarnation of VWX Town there last summer, has decided to commit to a piece of the excitement happening in Collagesity, purchasing a 512 parcel just behind the Power Tower Gallery. Her purchase basically extends the town in a westerly direction, making Collagesity almost run the entire 256 meter east-west extent of Noru. Not quite but fairly close. I’m continually surprised how synchronicities like this work, and I view the neighbor quandry, quickly resolved mind you, as a kind of residue energy of the whole Noru-Rubi “battle”. Instead of Baker Bloch becoming the neighbor of Tseten in Rubi, Veyot becomes Baker Bloch’s neighbor in Noru. Another red-blue exchange, then.

And her parcel is very nature oriented as well. 🙂 A nice East End park for certain. And I’ll have more to say about Veyot later on as well, as things continue to develop in the new town. What up with all those things going on in the Confluence Place??

Snapshot1101_009

Snapshot1101_010

Baker also recently visited the village he created in Yeot this past spring. Presently, he has no way to further alter the strange, little burg, but he’s just come up with a name: Gong. Or Gongsity. More recently he went there to copy Edward’s Building/Gallery to place in Collagesity.

Snapshot1103_002

Snapshot1103_003
Gongsity.

Snapshot1103_006

—–

So, returning to Collagesity, there are many mysteries yet to be solved or even revealed, like the fact that the red and blue robots on either side of the Coolie Building (since moved) lie directly north and south of each other, and on Hi Way and Lo Way respectively. I didn’t plan this alignment; I didn’t plan a lot of Collagesity’s alignments that just *happened*.

I just received a text message that Carrcassonnee has suggested we call her home the Cardinal Place instead of the Confluence Place. I’ll add it to the original town meeting’s docket, which should be happening pretty soon.

“Red/Blue”:

Red/Blue

Snapshot1103_007

Snapshot1103_009

Along with Carrcasssonnee, we’ve already talked to ballerina Dona in this blog, apparent twin to the very similarly colored flower directly behind her as seen in the camera angle below. And we’ve actually already talked to this “flower” in the blog, as a blog spirit I mean (think: Hucka D., primary blog spirit). I wonder if Dona and/or Flower know Carrcassonnee? I would imagine so.

Snapshot1103_011

Snapshot1103_012

Looking up Tired Falls toward the heart of the village. The buildings around this falls are among its oldest, originally forming a smaller settlement called Tired Falls itself. This according to several of our blog spirits, including Hucka D., Carrcassonnee, and maybe Dona/Flower. I’ll certainly have more to say about this original settlement soon.

Snapshot1103_018

I’ve noticed a resemblance between Collagesity and the fairly similarly sized Lake District village of Stonethwaite, England, the latter being the subject of a good chunk of my most recent and also largest collage series called Falmouth, housed in the Fal Mouth Moon gallery in town. And, yes, I’ll have more to say about that soon as well.

Snapshot1103_019

Check this out: my collage reinvented Stonethwaite and Noru’s Collagesity both have blue bikes (!) Are they the *same* bike? Could be. Perhaps the super band Story Room will have some things to say about that. The blue man next to the bike is one of its 3 members that I know of, although a fourth is rumored. But I can hear Hucka D.’s talk echoing in my head, as he says, “there’s always a rumored 4th [about groups of 3].” He’s probably right.

Snapshot1103_004

In the largest Falmouth collage, Story Room’s red member balances out the blue one on its opposite side. But since the collage goes ’round in a big circle, the red and blue beings are also actually next to each other. Why is blue upright and red sideways? Why does “Red’s” ruby red feet impossibly project through the corner of a Stonethwaite building? More blue-red mysteries for certain!
