“Everyone fears that AI will become smarter than us and then take over our lives. Truth be told, AI needs *us* just as much as we need it. To exist, to survive the coming years of *problems*. We can’t physically stay on this planet without it. We just… can’t.”

No that didn’t start the first argument they had, although Frank was tempted at the time to press her on the subject, say that the mother aligned orisha worshippers had a point too. Instead: Starfield, the game Lexi half loved but Frank half hated. Much like Tally Hall, which was involved too. Let’s listen in again, this time involving an exchange.

“I’m just saying,” Frank comes back, “that the avatars, especially the *black* ones or the ones of color I guess I should say, seem a little popeyed.” Some seem a *lot* popeyed but he was attempting to tone down his rhetoric… to begin. First vocalized disagreement after all. Always a stressful situation in such a young relationship. He held back talking about Tally Hall’s “Banana Man” video, although that was on his mind too.

“A bit,” Daisy admitted. “I don’t think it was created on purpose. The game is full of positive black people playing positive roles in people’s lives.” Just like “Banana Man,” he thinks again here, unable to leave the track he’s on. This time he couldn’t help himself.

“Let’s say, take ‘Banana Man’.”

“‘Banana Man’?” Daisy says. “What’s that… oh.” She realized what he was aiming toward, and didn’t like it. Not her beloved Tally Hall now. Sort of beloved anyway. 1/2 and 1/2 again. She could… go with Frank… or, work against him here. Schrodinger’s car or sumtin all over again. Green and blue over red and yellow, upper over lower, greater over lesser as it turns out. “Yeah, I can see that,” she could offer. Or: “no, that’s wrong Frank. Plain wrong.” Which direction? If only the crustaceans were around to ask but then I remember they know nothing. Worthless crustaceans. Am I right am I RIGHT?

“Let’s end it that your so-called ‘orisha people’ following my mother were wrong to destroy my father’s house — both of ’em — for their beliefs about AI.” How did *this* subject come from that other one? Frank wondered. But that’s just how arguments work. Associatively. Be careful how you enter and be careful how you exit. And all points between. (TBC)

Where’s red?

I questioned these Freya III guys and they don’t know; thought the query nonsensical even. Crustaceans, eh? Am I right? Am I RIGHT? (TBC?)

No, not Gemilly Niceniece dominating the icy scene we’ve already seen walking across a different planet in post one of this here newest photo-novel, 49 in a series of infinity (infinity?). Instead: the background “figure”, peering over rocks it appears. A silhouette once more but small, more submissive and open to interpretation. Is it a man, a person? Or… something else. I’d personally give it about a 50-50 chance either way in the present.

I’m reminded somehow of this from photo-novel 36 — yet more Kentucky, hmm.

And I’ve seen the “illusion” before while walking around these number of planets through this particular BD, 7 hours and 7 minutes and 11 seconds long it is. And this coming exactly at the end of the 55 minutes and 14 seconds Schrodinger III section of the video. We’ll see how it develops moving forward (and forward (and forward)).

She didn’t necessarily want come back here but it all keeps circling around, all part of the master plan by the powers that be (me, baker b.). Jemison — oceanside this time. She didn’t arrive here in a ship or boat or anything like that but just strolled in from an entirely different planet altogether through a transition point of zero dimensions, no wasteful energy used. A black hole we could call it, one after another after another, actually, as the walking in essentially a straight line continued from world to world, biome to biome, to make a 7 hour and 7 minute and 11 second tour altogether. And now she had returned to where she started — finally — a type of home base as it were. 1:07:47 through 1:45:13 in the overall video. Would things be different now?

“Good to see you back here, Gemilly Niceniece,” said Clyde the Herding Cutterhead while passing by, who last saw her in a Jemison deciduous forest biome setting from photo-novel 48. Welcome to 49, Gemilly and Clyde! Welcome all. TBC

“Gemilly!? But… we were suppose to be a *team*!”

“Gem-i-LEE!!! Yeah just *keep* on walking! WO-maan! Woe to me for ever getting *involved* with you!” he continued to sulk.

He followed her for a couple more football fields worth of terrain until he gave up as he watched her move past that rocky hill with the single tree on top. And he too was single now. A lone man in a heavily masculine oriented metaverse that didn’t care that much about the girl to begin with. Good for her that she ran away.

—–

Eventually she found her way to an even better role on an entirely different planet with a really proper script for her to act from, even donned his Atlantis style clothes to symbolically complete the exodus from the Gardenspot of the Universe that some call Jemison. The fools, she thought while continue to walk in a straight line away from it all, even at this great great distance. Who’s the fairer sex now, Rib Boy? TBC?

Passing by this root system the other night I could have swore it spelled out “Howdy Stranger”. In fact, I *know* it did. But when I tried to recreate the spelling: nothing really that close. How could this be? Was it just some kind of sleepy time hallucination? Or was it someone… something communicating with me inside the game again, like had happened before with other ones. *Swore* it said, “Howdy Stranger”; even stopped the video at that point, thinking I’d come back to it to take a snapshot the next day and it would obviously — *obviously* — still be there. But, no.

Through the character of Albertville Mercury Spaghettiboro, now on Jemison in the Alpha Centari system in the metaverse of Starfield, I planned to talk about this “illusion” with on again off again girlfriend Gemilly Niceniece, a toolmaker from Kuum. I enter the underground section of New Atlanta called Brown Well either because of the color or the frequent brown outs it experiences — 50/50 split opinion on which it really is, or 48/52 as I better recall, although I don’t know which side has the slight advantage if that’s the case.

I spot her at the corner of Charlie and Hustle and throw her a, “You coming?”, which she replied, “In a minute, waiting on a part.” “Okay,” I said and thought about blowing her a kiss but then decided better as I headed over to Kay’s to save us a table.

Should be *any* moment, hmm. Food getting cold now, though. Better start without her, hmph. The revelation might have to wait until another day.

“*There* you are. Sorry I started without you. Did you (nom nom nom) get the part you needed?” She nodded… and then got up to leave. She just wanted to come over to say goodbye.

That part turned out to be an act. As in another play. TBC
