What the plans are… *now* (!)

Last check, I’m going to keep Collagesity into Sep and perhaps into Oct, Nov and maybe even beyond. I’ve reconfigured the town’s space so that it extends more in a southerly direction. I basically eliminated Westside. Confluence Place is already gone, and so is Gallery BOB. I believe the Sadler collages within might just be moved to the X Spot Gallery. In another version of the latter gallery, I already had them in place in one of the wings (the present version has 2 wings; originally it had 4). I still plan to keep searching for collage artists for the galleries, however… not giving that up. But the focus now will be the Falmouth *College* of the town, its official home.

And I’m not totally sure but I may be able to keep the town train (!) Also eliminated in that direction, however, are the Newton and Jasper statues, a bunch of neat vegetation in the eastern part of the track’s inner space, and also the Wall of Eyes. More might develop of the current 1 prim building just to the s. of Fal Mouth Moon — maybe college related? I’m simply going to abandon the rest of the land I own; set it up as a protective border. A shame to lose the money I could make off the land sale but I think it’s the wise decision, and, for one, the only way I can keep the train most likely.

This is basically how the town will look…

Falmouth College (Fal Mouth Collage?)

“Fal Mouth Moon gallery is going to become Fal Mouth Collage College. Isn’t that exciting Hucka Doobie? Hucka D.?”

—–

Hucka D. isn’t up yet. Give him until sunset. 🙂 But I believe what I wrote above is going to happen. I also believe this may be the end of Collagesity, once more, since I already have the college set up in Philudoria, free of charge. But I’m not certain. We’ll be going on vacation starting Friday, and when I come back I’ll have to make a decision quickly so I can start selling off the land. The basic idea is that the Falmouth collages are complex enough that you can create a whole college to study them. A small college, mind you, not a big one. And the course options are obviously going to be limited since we’ll just be studying the collages themselves. I haven’t decided if it will be called Falmouth College or Fal Mouth College. But people will mistakenly call it Collage instead of College. Trying to inject needed (additional) humor into this blog, see. I know Whitehead Crossing, the prime Frank Park location for myth-telling presently and probably into the future as well, will be an important element. And Frank and Herman Parks along with it.

The college will be set up virtually in Philudoria probably, but also, at the same time, here on this perch above Whitehead Stream, as depicted in a Falmouth college collage. See how that doesn’t stop being funny?

collage68base03

In this collage, the rock perched atop the cliff becomes the same as the castle. The idea of a Falmouth college here has been aligning from several directions for a while. First, there’s the “fact” that a castle is or was situated on this cliff, owned by a man (and woman?) named Dundee — Castle Dundee, then. The Fal Mouth Moon gallery structure is also called a “castle” by its creator, Moard Ling. So the castle was turned into a gallery which is being turned into a college. Additional buildings will surround it. A new virtual village named after the college might arise — simply Falmouth College, then.

But what of the Power Tower Gowlery I hear you asking, and the Gilatona-Lis collage series? Isn’t that almost as important as Falmouth? Well, that’s a good question to be pondering, reader, and thanks for bringing it to my attention. I wish Hucka D. was here to confer with.

—–

My feeling is that the Falmouth College simply *must* be inserted into Whitehead Crossing, on that perch or cliff (Cliffs of Dundee). Castle Dundee, yes, will be converted into a gallery that will become the college, with added buildings. My reasoning here is that the last 1/4th or so of the Falmouth series is largely about Whitehead Crossing, starting with Falmouth 44 and ending with Falmouth 61. Whitehead Crossing will be more than happy to absorb the idea.

—–

“They’ll have to study Frank and Herman Parks themselves. They’ll have to ponder TILE. They’ll have to investigate the original “Frank & Herman Einstein!” document from 2003. They’ll have to make c’s in all these classes to gain a shiny blue star in the end. And after graduation? We’ll, they’ll be certified collagists themselves (!) They’ll go into the virtual Stonethwaite, hike up Greenup Gill covered so well early on through the Greenup series from way back in 2004. That’s when I turned into an orange, baker b. You remained an apple.”

Chat 02

Hucka D.:

Here’s Carrcassonnee, as you expected.

Carrcassonnee:

Hi Baker B. Nice night. See you have your heat on. Getting cool up there in the hill country I suppose. Glad I’m on Pluto where it’s warm.

bb:

Hello Carrcassonnee. Interesting that Pluto is warm this time of year.

Carrcassonnee:

A little too much so. But I love it. Frank does too.

bb:

That your husband?

Carrcassonnee:

Janitor. He lives in my [delete].

bb:

Alriiight. So otherwise, I’ve been working hard on Sunklands, as you probably know.

Carrcassonnee:

Yup. See you included me. That’s a true story, by the way. About Middletown and The Residents there. But it was Story Room. That’s where Story Room and I hooked up originally. But I wasn’t a hooker. Not at that time. That’s not how we hooked up, see.

bb:

I gathered as much. I think. Carrcassonnee, what is your job on Pluto? Or Jeogeot or whatever?

Carrcassonnee:

Janitor. Oh wait, I already used that. Here (paper shuffling noise). Johnson and Wax. I work for Johnson and Wax.

bb:

I’ll have to check and see exactly what that is. Cleaning products comes to mind.

(baker checks)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnson_Wax_Headquarters

Do you mean that, Carrcassonnee? Or maybe the university Johnson and Wales.

Carrcassonnee (repeating):

Johnson and Wax. A car wash company but a front for drugs. And hookers.

bb:

Hmmm. What do you do at Johnson and Wax?

Carrcassonnee (quickly):

Hook. I run the hook machine. That hooks stuff and raises it up and puts it in a different, other place. I hook things.

bb:

Is it a repetitive job?

Carrcassonnee (repeating):

I hook things.

bb:

Cool. How did you get into the Second Life business?

Carrcassonnee:

I made a lot of money by hooking… things. I had it to burn. Pluto was so cold at the time, not like now. It didn’t have its own internal sun. Lord knows what’s still inside all that. But it’s cool. Warm, I mean. I have my [delete name] shorts on right now.

bb:

These things you’re telling me… they’re an unexpected turn!

Carrcassonnee:

Expect the unexpected[ with me]. After all, I’m 425 year old and counting. And that’s a vanity count.

bb:

Let’s see, we were talking about Second Life. So you said you had money to burn and you used it on virtual reality.

Carrcassonnee:

We need to talk about 2004. 2008, I mean. Both.

bb:

Okay, let’s talk about 2004 and 2008.

Carrcassonnee:

What happened in 2008?

bb:

Well, first thing that comes to mind is that I was introduced to the Second Life reality. A second world.

Carrcassonnnee:

Neat-o. And when did you meet me there?

bb:

Eerr. I don’t know. Can you tell me?

Carrcassonnee:

2007. 2010, I mean. 2010. In Pietmond. I was a pea pod at the time. But still central. I exist at the bottom of a sink[hole]. I am hole (whole?).

bb:

What’s your relationship with Sunklands? Talking about the Second Life area of sinkholes now.

Carrcassonnee:

I was assigned a hole. For hooking. I hooked a hole.

bb:

This is getting a little too bizarre.

Carrcassonnee:

No. A deep, dark hole. Like Patmos.

bb:

Are you talking about the Rabbit Hole between Jeogeot and Maebaleia?

Hucka D. (jumping in):

Hi baker b.! Do you like my orange jumpsuit?

bb (taking Hucka D. in):

Wow, that’s bright. Sure! Where’d you get it?

Hucka D.:

Omaha. Oh, and Carrcassonnee was right about the comet.

bb:

Well good. (after a pause): Sunklands?

‘Bout made a decision…

I believe I’ll keep Collagesity into September at least. Too nifty of a creation to let go of just yet.

I’ve *really* been focusing on the evolution of sunklands.com. Check it out if you haven’t already.

Strangest page so far, and directly related to Collagesity’s Carrcassonnee:

http://www.sunklands.com/fable

Still don’t know exactly what it means.

Much excitement here, like the creation of a separate blog called “6 Weeks of Shining” based on F&HE! Dec/Jan. posts.

http://www.sunklands.com/6-weeks-of-shining

And I’m working on shaping up the text for Paradox II, a project long in coming.

I’m also developing a page on the virtual villages I’ve created and then lived in for going on 4 years now, starting with original Pietmond and extending through present Collagesity.

Stay tuned!

Chatting 01

Must start to get ducks lined in a row. Web site maintenance is paramount. Decide what I want to put on my free college site (up to 50MB of space). Designed Rainbowology about 2 years back now, but gave up that domain a year later after not working on it for a while. Now I have a new domain name as of today.

sunklands03

Introductory wording for now:

Welcome to Sunklands, home of collage art by baker b.

COLLAGES are digital (2d/flat) collages created by baker b. starting in 2004. Overall works created so far are Falmouth (2014), Gilatona-Lis (2013), and the Art 10×10 (6 series from 2004 to 2009). Some collages combine with each other to form rudimentary animations.

SYNCHS are audiovisual collages created by baker b. starting in 1997. Baker b. synchs from 1997-2003 are open source as deemed by baker. Baker b. synchs from 2004-2007 are owned by Pierre and are called positive carrcasses. Baker b. synchs from 2008 to present are owned by Carrcassonnee and are called negative carrcasses. As baker has learned the hard way, Pierre and Carrcassonnee are powerful and often nasty individuals that should not be f—ed with.

Visit galleries of baker b.’s digital collages in the Second Life virtual world at

8/21/14 updated:

Sunklands.com is born! Here’s what I have as of this date. I’ll be tinkering with it for a while. Notice I eliminated the Carrcassonnee and Pierre sections, but they remain as private pages I’ll also be working on. My audivisual synchs (baker b.’s open source ones) will still be under SYNCHS. I’ve got a whole bunch more material to add.

I have to face…

… the really big possibility that I might be giving up all my Collagesity land come the first week of September, not just Southend. I’ve started a new website to begin. I need to work on The Table. And I still have a bit of land in Second Life free of charge. If I do this I must sell now. But what of my plan to keep Collagesity Sep., Oct. and into the winter? Fall hiking season, no matter how limited, is coming up soon.

Tempting to just put *all* my land up for sale now. As the Fal Mouth Moon is still set up in Philudoria, Spider can still roam the collages as he is doing now. He entered through the “Art 10×10” (Toxic Art Gallery) but can remain in the Falmouth series (Fal Mouth Moon). But what of the Power Tower Gowlery and the Wiltshire based works?

I don’t seem to need to explore Second Life much any more, outside just roaming around my town and taking pictures and building and interacting with it.

And I also wonder how long Second Life will remain. The energy is obviously magnitudes below what it use to be when I first logged on there. Part of it is me, of course, and getting use to the newness of virtual reality. But the majority is within SL itself. I think of how many people I’ve seen come and go. I live with mainland and I die with mainland.

I could just rent when I come back (Nov.?). 90 bucks saved right there for the next 2 months. I must think of priorities.

I haven’t made a final decision on Collagesity. I know I’ll be getting rid of Southside. It’s just that the sustaining energy isn’t there any longer. Chilbo and Parktown are still around but obviously diminished. Only VHC City remains strong among the mainland urban areas I know about. I suppose I should just go ahead and face the fact that I’ll hold onto Philudoria and let the rest go. The Diagonal doesn’t pass through Noru but through the latter… and also Rubi. It was good to go back to Jeogeot for a while. I will miss it.

I’ll probably just compose a series of posts on this subject, just to get use to the idea one way or the other. Hucka D. will probably just urge me to let go of everything and rebuild if needed later on. What of Queen Alma I? I have not been able to penetrate the mysteries of Middletown/Meddletown. The Noru sim cannot become the new, virtual paradise past/present/future. Can it?

Found again.

Of all people, it was Starbuccaneer Barista that found Spider. Ridiculously clever, she had lured him out of a Whitehead Crossing related collage in the Fal Mouth Moon with a bowl of dog food.

Snapshot1289_005

“Uhmmmm, yes: eat it up my precious Spider dog,” the resurrected Star said slyly. For she knew that a position of power would soon be in store for her because of this. She must speak to Baker Blinker asap; tell her of what she saw in the corridor. Share notes.

Snapshot1289_007

—–

“So that’s where I come from,” said Queen Alma I from the future, peering in again. “A merger of Starbuccaneer Barista and Baker Blinker.”

“And Carrcassonnee,” Hucka Doobie added. “She was strong at the time, having just absorbed the 11th. Tasted like chicken again to her.” He smiled slyly slightly.

“But little Spider would go back into the collages to be lost again. And again. And yet again and again.”

“And again!” Hucka Doobie added again. “You see, he was mistakenly rewarded for entering the collages. Dog food, sticks, squeeze dolls. All these lured him out but also kept him going back, knowing the endpoint.”

“How did it end?” the Queen asked. “Is he still in the collages even now?”

“Yes,” came Hucka Doobie’s answer. “He eventually became All Collages.”

Cardboard Derek Jones suddenly slid his way into the room through the seams of the closed door. “My Majesty. And… um, sire. The dog has reappeared again!”

“What synchronicity!” Hucka Doobie exclaimed.

“Too much so I would say,” says a more cautious Queen Alma I, reading out of a red book that had appeared in her hands. “I’m checked the script now. Spider has learned how to traverse time.”

“Then we’re all in big, big trouble,” returned a suddenly worried Hucka. “Big big trouble.”

Cardboard Derek Jones slides quickly toward them, holding forth a picture, which turns out to be an animation as the Queen and Hucka jointly stare in disbelieve. In it, Baker Bloch and Master Shake also jointly stare in disbelieve as a giant dog turns into a horse before their very eyes.

Snapshot1289_012

Snapshot1289_013

Snapshot1289_014

“That’s it,” Hucka Doobie says in finality, seeing Spider being fed/rewarded from “within”. “We’ve got to speak to Story Room about the 11th.”

Blathering

“This idiot Oh you speak of, the snarling Jim Carrey with the waterfall pouring up from his hand, he must be the culprit. In the next picture down — whatever — we see this same waterfall raining down on the dingo. The dingo is Carrey is Oh.”

Cardboard Derek Jones:

Yes ma’am.

Queen Blinker:

Oh has come up several times for baker b. recently. He does not recall the waterfall’s true origin. Typical. Typical of Baker Bloch, I mean.

CDJ:

I’m surprised you could contact Master Baker since the White Tower could not be completed today, connecting Collagesity with Virtual Heaven. Baker b. is always in the Sky Box, it seems, tinkering with stuff. You have a clear view there, and he can’t hide inside his many groundside buildings.

Queen Blinker:

I found him anyway.

Hucka Doobie (entering from the left):

Ice cream anyone?

—–

Hucka Doobie (to Queen):

You’ll just have to wait until he emerges in one of the other collages.

Queen:

In this Facebook, Baker B. claims to have met several people recently who had independent contact with Oh.

CDJ:

Oh? (then, blushing): Sorry.

Hucka Doobie:

I have read the transcripts. I know what happens next.

Queen:

We must go find Oh.

Hucka Doobie:

Not recommended, ma’am. That’s what I was suppose to say there. Your turn.

Queen:

Refried beans?

Hucka Doobie:

Exactly.

—–

“It was Makemake’s ice cream parlor out on highway 17. His father gave him away.”

Hucka Doobie:

Interesting that Space Ghost comes back into the picture. But I knew he would. Queen… do you remember when you were Sapphire? *Were* you Sapphire?

Queen Blinker:

I recall some kind of perch, but not the fish.

Hucka Doobie:

You were wearing blue. But that goes without saying. Do you remember your precious, little Aquamarine turned rebellious Aqua Teen?

Queen Blinker (facial expressions slightly changing):

You mean Prince Karoz?

Hucka Doobie:

Ummmm… yes.

Queen:

The Prince will not be spoken of again for 3 days. Then I will tell you what became of him. He had his circle and he could not go out of it.

Hucka Doobie:

He has to come back[ you know].

Queen:

Mum.

—–

bb:

So is Queen Blinker Sapphire? Or is it Baker Blinker in the future? I asked her through Baker Bloch what was going on and she didn’t have a clue. The coronation, if it is a true event and not another lie — or maybe it’s one of those truth lies…

Hucka D.:

The manifestation point has not been reached. Yet things are happening all around us. Yes, there was an attempt to rebuild the White Tower today. We have photographic evidence that Spider has indeed disappeared inside the Yale collage series, and that this mysterious Oh is involved. I have spoken with the Queen directly, even. I went into the future just for this purpose. She suggests I go to Meddletown again. Or Middletown… whatever.

bb:

Will you become 1Pink again?

Hucka D.:

I’m afraid it is destiny; in the script.

Spider gets lost (again!)

“Your Majesty, the dog Spider has disappeared into the “Art 10×10″. I’m afraid he’s lost for now.”

Queen Blinker:

Just as I planned, he he. Seriously, show me the involved collages. How many were there? What was the initial work? We need to post people on all floors of the Power Tower, Fal Mouth Moon, and Toxic Art for signs of the poor pooch. But he did volunteer, after all.

Cardboard Derek Jones:

Yes ma’am. I have taken pictures of the progression. He first attempted to make contact with the wise old fox, who turned her back on him. Then he tried the dingo in the next picture down… the previous picture, I mean, in the Art 10×10 progression. Sorry, ma’am.

Queen:

That’s all right. This was in the Newton series?

CDJ (checking notes):

Yale, ma’am.

Queen:

Show me the progression you speak of. Reverse progression, I suppose.

CDJ:

Yale ma’am. I mean, yes ma’am.

CDJ:

And by that last collage, he had disappeared into relatively total abstraction. We believe the dingo, being not as wise as the fox, let’s say, led him into danger. He disappeared inside the water.

Queen:

Interesting. What is that body of water? We might have to go to the Real World and retrieve him there. Is that the River Key?

CDJ (checking notes again):

Give me just a minute ma’am. (pause) I do not have notes of the location.

Queen:

Then we must contact baker b. in the real world and ask him. He’s the one who made the collage, after all.

CDJ:

Yes ma’am. (then, reconsidering): What ma’am?
