olde name

“Thank you again for coming in on your day off, Hoss, to help me.”

“Well,” he answers. “Sounds like the fate of the whole town depends on us finding some facts!”

“So right,” Teebestia replies. “According to this ‘Big Book of Moths and Butterflies’, the name Astarte comes from a particular moth, just like Lapara and almost all sims of the continent we’ve checked. Not a local demon. How ’bout you? Found anything?”

“Still looking through this old book on Malone, the one that told us its most famous resident was Wheeler.”

“Which is impossible. She just showed up there! Still, we should interview her.”

“Hold on, Teeb… here’s a section on Owls Head.” He turns the page, reads a bit further, then utters: “Oh me Godz.”

“What is it?”

Owls Head use to be called Ringville!

“Where *am* I??”

—–

“There, that’s better. Hi Rocky!”

“We found an Ickle,” the raccoon mumbles, half asleep.

“What’s that Rocky?”

His eyes open. “Two of them, Bettie. A blue one, then a green one. East and west. Directly.” He turns into the walking version of himself and goes to her. “Down there. Just in the other sim.”

“What are we waiting for?” she asks rhetorically.

—–

“What now?”

“We wait,” states the raccoon.

“Oh my.”

“Rocky?”

Wheeler and Buster then wandered over to the town’s new power station.

“Look, it’s one of those *real* old timey computers, Buster. And there’s Rocky’s novel again. Looks like he might be finished.”

“Is Nancy alive or dead at the end? Can you tell?”

“Who’s ‘G’, Buster?” Wheeler asked in turn.

Studies

Baker Bloch has determined that The Millers of Castle Knight (so named because they’re always milling about the place) are actually Knights as well, one black and the other white. Unlike chess pieces, you can’t tell them apart by appearances, only by what color square they’ve landed on at any given time through predetermined rules. Both hail from Soso, but not Collagesity’s SoSo Mall (just unsealed and reopened!), although they might claim to be so. This one instead. Their common ancestor: Newton Knight, leader of the Free State of Jones who was buried in Jasper County Mississippi with its Ted (and Turnerville) and Baxter also. Right hand man when carving out his Unionist knightdom in the middle of the Deep South was also named Jasper (Collins). Newt’s story seems to have deep significance. Hole to another dimension.

Baker is also still studying the Nancy archetype, and has determined that the 3 US Robertson Counties play a role. Ridgetop, above Bakers in Robertson County Tennessee, was formerly called Nancy (post office name). On other side of this county — northwest corner — is an Adams, famous for a particular, bad witch. In the north*east* corner of Robertson County Kentucky we have an Abigail. East and West: 2 bad witches, he’s decided, just like with Baum’s Oz. Matched up and read together, Abigail Adams is the wife of the second US president and the mother of the 6th president. Mary Ball needs to study this early champion of women’s rights. Future son and original president George doesn’t learn a New York lesson and gets outflanked at the Battle of Brandywine. Political career scuttled. Own grandpa Osborne Well perched on a high hill, master of all British Bermingham. American Muff sealed off and compartmentalized.

And then the 3rd and last Robertston County in Texas: Seale, Headsville, Bald Prairie.

We are on the home stretch…

Munsters

“Show me the map,” requests Hucka Doobie to Baker Bloch.

—–

“Yes. Christiansted. Surrounded by monsters. These could represent the 4 true Munsters: Grandpa, Eddie, Herman, and Lily. Grandpa is Grandpa obviously. Fangs could be Eddie, who also has them. Or Lily even. Then Herman is Herman. And Munster could be Lily or Eddie, once more. What is the name of the ordinary Munster, the one who doesn’t count?”

“Marion,” guesses Baker incorrectly.

“Marion. So Timmy Duncan, greatest power forward in NBA history, was born and raised in this Christiansted capital city.”

“Correct, Hucka Doobie.”

“When Hurricane Marion destroyed the island’s only Olympic-sized swimming pool in 1989, Duncan was forced to swim in the ocean, where he quickly lost enthusiasm for the sport because of his fear of monster attacks — sharks in this case. He turned to basketball, which was destiny, fate. He went through a conversion.”

“Yeah. But I’m checking on the phone now, Hucka Doobie. The hurricane’s name was Hugo. Marion came 6 years afterwards, a somewhat milder affair. But, in looking closer, that hurricane’s name was Marilyn. So Marilyn must be the ordinary Munster. The perimeter which is the center of it all. Duncan was already a star at Wake Forest by then.”

“A star is born. Let’s go back to SoSo now and study further. I just wanted to see what you had set up in this secret Muff-Bermingham station.”

—–

“This collage 17 of 2007’s Oblong series depicts a later Duncan, after he won his first championship as the somewhat lesser of the twin towers formed by himself and fellow future hall of famer David Robinson. And this is where your personal WBA ends and the general NBA continues. Zircon Zappers Tom Casey and Robert Jones were the parallels to this twin tower situation in San Antonio.”

“Yes, I’m almost positive of that, Hucka Doobie. Duncan later excels beyond Robinson. I didn’t have that.”

“(Collage 17) is another great 3-n-1. And where we also ended an Oblong analysis from, what was it, way back in 2008? LINK”

“I don’t know, Hucka. Pretty long time ago,” Baker Bloch agreed.

“Three (Lake District) tarns. Three choices. River Derwent originating in Seathwaite Fell — SF — reaching Derwent Water through the finger-ish delta was a goal. Fox Tarn rock blocked, with Crazy Clown Head removed. But maybe Angle Tarn aligned with Duncan instead of Robinson succeeds, not the one in Langstrath but in Patterdale. But maybe they are also one. Tarn at Leaves. This (work remains) confusing.”

“But the clincher that this has to do with Muff-Bermingham, Hucka Doobie, is the presence of Herman Munster in the very next Oblong collage. 18. Two from the end now.

That Munster perfectly fills a gap between two mirrored images.”

“The beginning of Stonethwaite from Greenup,” Hucka Doobie adds. “You must return.”

Virgin territory

“Thank you for showing me this, Baker Bloch. I’m grateful.”

“You’re preparing for a big role shift, Wheeler. You deserve to know about Muff-Bermingham at this point.”

“And the corresponding pictures on this other wall? Is that me in the center?”

“Kind of,” responds Baker. “The title says ‘Chuckles’. Obviously our fisherwoman friend across the tracks.” Baker Bloch checks his watch. “Speaking of which…”

—–

“Mary. You’re real name is Mary. Not Delbert, not Wanda.”

Mary meekly nods.

“Now tell me all about this Osborne Well.”

“Best to not tell your Musician about all this right now. Until the memory fades about that face.”

“Yes. Best just to slide it back under there. For now. Did you get the planchette?”

“Got it,” responded Baker Bloch.

“Don’t lose it this time!”

Malvern, AL with variant name of Eagan near Light and Geneva-Houston co border, which is also part of GNIRPS (neighbor’s house, which just sold again this month). Circular city limits on topo map (Malvern as well).

Eagan, TN just examined is very near Campbell Co line with Jacksboro for seat. Conj. of Jack and Campbell here is another personal GNIRPs entry (former music director of my childhood church). You can see Eagan and Pruden in nw corner of below map of Campbell Co.

Third and last Eagan pp in Dakota Co MN, by far the largest of the 3 and in Minn./St. Paul metro area.

Nearby Eagan MN is Nichols. Nicholas David of The Voice fame born in Eagan, MN, and nicknamed St. Nick on the tv show.

No Jaffee in GNIRPS. Apparently this is most famous Jaffee:

—–

No Meribel in GNIRPS. Meribel sim of Second Life named after this French ski resort:

Many Benningtons LINK, and I came up with it for C1617W just as a plain name to attach humor (like Farmington as well). But Bennington Edwards Co IL still may be pertinent. It has to do with neighbors growing up on *both* sides, including Edwards Co, Grayville in southern part, Samsville, Black, Browns (neighbors directly west of my neighbors), Golden Gate (another color like gray, brown, black), and Bone Gap and Blood also may be related (like blood and bones, and blood relative). Sam’s house sold this month just like Geneva’s. Black in both Edwards Co IL and Geneva Co AL with Malvern/Eagan.

http://cityofgrayville.com/new/history/

Grayville was one of the early settlements, located at the mouth of Bonpas Creek and the (Big) Wabash River, and settled by the Gray family around 1810. Bonpas is a French word meaning “good bay” and early French keel boatmen tied their boats at the mouth of Bonpas Creek in the spring to escape high water or floating ice. Bonpas was once considered navigable, and boats went north as far as east of West Salem, Pinhook and Bennington.

Largest Bennington in VT.

Back to Sansara continent’s Snowlands…

http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Snowlands_Subcontinent

Fellow explorer Simple Wunderlich, who I befriended several years back (see his pictures also in center of Collagesity’s Kidd Tower), has created a series on Snowlands here:

https://simplewunderlich.wordpress.com/?s=snowlands

Mtn. from Simple’s series that no longer exists, pictured across stilll extant Cortina forest.

Another Simple photo showing a more interesting build in Loon — haven’t checked to see if it is still there.

Another building, no longer in Snowlands, snapped by Simple, formerly of the Loveland sim I believe.

Explorer Jayaram Dahlia (who I don’t know) has also created a series on Sansara’s Snowlands, claiming to have explored it thoroughly in all directions…

http://dahliajayaram.blogspot.com/2014/05/snowlands-region-points-of-interest.html

… enough to make this map of personalized regions.

Purden and Eagan are locations on the *diagonal* boundary she’s set up between her Central and South Central regions.

Good closer there.

Mid Hazel’s Woods (Hazelwood).

Lone “Simak” result in SL search: Spindrift – SpinSpace astronomical art Gallery, SciLands.

Auto-teleport into sw corner of Spindrift sim (why?).

Within SoSo Mall-like gallery: Rick Sternbach – “Returning to the Lander”.

Three Star Tree added to map. Lander?

Mid Hazel’s Woods again.

Sw corner of Eagan, and Baker again.

Similarly named Egan, plain water sim now…

… but which once contained an interesting glyph.

Latitudinally, Egan is one sim south of Eagan on the same continent (Sansara).

Egan part of GNIRPS system via triangle Ben-Grizzly-Egan.

Purden sim, caddycorner to Eagan in sw direction, is on same latitude as Egan, then.

3 Eagans pp in GNIRPS, 1st I checked near Pruden. No Purdens, and only 1 Pruden (anagram). Pruden on KY-TN line, like Static mentioned in both C1516W and C1617W, as I was just reading and noting earlier tonight. And Pruden is on the Eagan topo map.

Karoz line:

https://bakerbloch.com/2016/01/10/dreams/

“I’ve got to get myself back home,” he thought. “I’m in a state!”

“Karoz?” Baker Blinker offered. “You okay?”

“Tennessee or Kentucky,” he blurted, and then fell off the bar stool.

Pruden is likewise either in Tennessee or Kentucky, depending on which direction you’re coming from.

Like Muff-Bermingham, Pruden is sometimes called the hyphenated Pruden-Fonde.

MORE AFTERWARDS…00

snapshot8750_005

… Old Mabel finds out more about Roostre in returning to the Blue Feather Table Room. A *lot* more. She didn’t uncover the crucial Q109-R110 link, which Robot Steve would tell her about later on in a dream. But she, for instance, learned the origin of the name Muff-Bermingham. She thought back to the opening in Corsica that allowed Snowmanster to escape a firey death at the hands of Jerome T. Newton. It was all starting to add up. To something.

EVEN MORE AFTERWARDS…

… “ARE YOU HAPPY?” Steve boomed down at her, still holding the poor clockwork ballerina in his metal claw. “I AM.”
