End of Lis.

I’m not sure if the next collage or 2 or 3 of the Lis series will be primarily set in Calstone Wellington, Alton Priors, or both or elsewhere, but I thought I’d continue the selection process with a couple of links to the mysterious All Saints Church of Alton Priors.

Uffington’s Blowing Stone featured in this 1980 novel created about the same time as the start of The Resident’s Mole Trilogy. Although concieved as a stand alone novel, Duncton Wood became the basis for its own trilogy. Another coincidence?

More Wiltshire Shots

GoogleEarth Streetview: Calstone Wellington. Don’t know what this object is — looks like a human being flying through the air and rolled into a ball (holding his legs?) in the second shot. But the object in the first shot appears to be more of a large pink bird like a flamingo.

These appear just south of pictures of the Church of St. Mary, another Wiltshire place of worship that B.R. Marshall has documented for geograph, this time with considerably more photos than for even St. John’s of Devizes:

A manmade crop circle just to the southwest of Calstone Wellington…

along with some interesting, surrounding landscape features…

The square-ish field in the lower left part of the same photo, for instance, was the site of a complex *square shaped* crop circle in July 2009. The location is called Morgan’s Hill. These amazing pictures come via GoogleEarth submissions as well:

I couldn’t help myself when associating the 2 Morgan’s Hill circles with these cuddly characters, especially since I’ve inserted the one on the right into a recent collage:

There are 216 photos currently listed for SU0061 in geograph. 216 is also mentioned in this recent post concerning a Latona collage series interpretation. There it’s the number of cubes, hollowed and unhollowed in a 3d representation of a grand crop circle appearing just below Hackpen Hill last season, a grand finale as it were.

Yes…

… I think Baker Bloch can be happy in Sansara Snow Country for another month.

The Power Tower Gowlery is coming along smashingly.

A couple of nights ago I created a flight of stairs to the 3rd floor (floor transparent from below), now containing the quite new and exciting Lis series, the 3rd of the new year. Didn’t expect this!
