Interesting landscaping along the way on private property. I’m taking notes on stuff like this for potential future landscaping around our Middletown home we plan to build about 7-10 years down the road.

I startled these matching black and brown dogs while hiking past them, unnoticed for a minute. They were busy playing in a pile of mulch. But boy did they became more interested in me and what I was doing in a heartbeat! Dogs are kind of fun at times. And funny.

Eastern side of Drink Lake in the background, and doggy bowl with frozen water in the foreground. The cold is yielding to warmth finally, however. Spring has sprung!
IMG_0002smaller
Drink Lake looking east, with Pencilinsula in the center, former home of the Quadrobeavs. In the Collagesity Temple, Pencilinsula *might* be represented by the alcove containing Carrcassonnee, chief town deity. She does not have a sticky out rock, however, but a pet: Spider (dog). In 12 Oz Mouse, Spider screams when Roostre asks if he’s playing Hayes. To remind, Rutherford “Booger” Hayes is the first president of the United States to never be the president of the United States.

IMG_0003smaller
Pencilinsula from the opposite shore, rock pointed straight toward us. The rock has also been referred to as The Point of The Wall. If Carrcassonnee = Pencilinsula, then this position would stand for The Bobs of Collagesity Temple. Interesting.

IMG_0010smaller
Still moving along the south side of the lake in a westward direction, I soon encountered, judging by the smell, what I’m pretty sure is a skunk hole, as seen through the fence surrounding Drink Lake. I will obviously be avoiding this opening in the future.

IMG_0013smallest
And this is nearby *Straw* Hole, like a straw inserted in a drink. You can even seen Drink Lake (Aqua) within. This seems to connect to the insane machinations of Kerchal countering those of calm Carrcassonnee. Insanoflex… defeated by Drink in Carrcass-0. “Keep playing your dumb ass song.” And this has something to do with a more internal battle between Shake and Jesus for control of this alcove inside the Collagesity Temple. Does Jesus respect or accept the TILE religion? A question to be asking.

IMG_0014smallest
Hole is accompanied by Hill… well, a rock. This is the site of some kind of future TILE Temple fer sure.

IMG_0018smaller
Sort of pathway into this central area containing the hole.

IMG_0021smaller
Eastside, Straw Hole — which is apparently also the name of the community surrounding the hole.  Appropriate. (note: Hucka Doobie states this is incorrect, and that he will give out an official name in due time) There’s another rock.

IMG_0022smallest
You have to cross this tangle of limbs to reach Straw Hole from the east.

What next? 02

Snapshot1070_003

Collagesity isn’t perfect, but it’s as perfect right now as I want to make it, perhaps. Next would be storytelling, usually, but a shift back into collage making might be a path instead. This weekend I may have a chance to return to Mythopolis for more picture taking. March on Sunday! My traditional spring hiking season is coming up. Daylight savings time begins the week after that. It’s a good time of the year, if only I can get past this perhaps one last really cold week here in Blue Mountain. Can I learn to love Blue Mtn. again and its hiking seasons?

I’ve advertised Collagesity on one popular SL art group and already received some encouragement. Am attempting to branch out in RL and contact other collagists and study their works. I hope to have an influence myself but I’m not sure that’s going to happen. As I was writing in an email today, maybe my unique perspective is on the heavy analysis side. I treat collages like dreams to be interpreted, or, more exactly, collage *series*, because they don’t exist in isolation any more for me. They almost always come in series of 10 at the least, like the latest Embarras series (10 and *maybe* counting… maybe).

I’d love also to go back to Middletown soon, and I’m sure that will happen. I feel like an art event at Dead Center Hill could come about in March. But I must think mostly of Blue Mtn. in March-May. Will Whitehead Crossing in Frank Park act as the focus this go around? Sharieland over in Herman Park? So many options still. One place I definitely want to go back and take pictures of is TILE Creek below Drink Lake dam., which I explored about a week and a 1/2 ago some.

It’s relieving to think that I probably won’t be giving up my Second Life land anytime soon to focus on the outdoors. I can have both (!). I still have over 260 prims to play around with in Minoa at last count. I still have wriggle room for experimenting.

Below its dam: a place in the rhododendron (Ditchlandia?).

IMG_0131smaller

—–

“Yes I would like to talk about the creatures that stalk the land below the dam. You have a ditch running across the whole place…”

bb:

… pictured above.

Hucka D.:

Yeah. Suppose. Can’t see.

bb:

It is here you’ll… sorry… you go…

Hucka D.:

It is here *you’ll* make a camp. Perhaps not this spring but later. It’s perfect. The lake is alive.

bb:

Herman Park makes a comeback.

Hucka D.:

Yes. (pause)

bb:

What of the mystery hole?

Hucka D.:

Aliens made it. To get you interested in their lake and their park again. Your attention was floundering. That was their exact words.

bb:

Can my Second Life property at the Rubi Woods co-exist with my renewed interest in Herman Park, if that comes about?

Hucka D.:

It will come about. And, yes, to the question. Both can exist together, even feed off each other. Have you created an Mmmmmm in Second Life yet?

bb:

Not quite yet. Maybe tomorrow.

Hucka D.:

Make it early if so.

bb:

So we have the Mmmmmm’s crashing into their First Tree in the First Goodmobile, then establishing themselves and their civilization first around this tree, then spreading out across all of Great Meadow and even Good Meadow to the west, at least the red version of these toy avatars — around Baffle Bush and Big Log and Second Tree. Then King Bill establishes his small kingdom even further north west, on the edge of Good Meadow.

Hucka D.:

Good Meadow became Great Meadow at that point. Or visa versa.

bb:

And he[ King Bill] had his martin bug keeping him company.

Hucka D.:

The bug beats the bird[ after all].

bb:

He was *orange*, this King Bill. He was sought after for intense wisdom. The other Mmmmmm’s were green and red mainly.

Hucka D.:

Mainly. (pause)

bb:

But then they eventually migrated, gradually, into Hermania and the rhododenron.

Hucka D.:

A great magnet that was indeed. Great Magnet. That’s their phrase for it.

bb:

Because it had so many entertainment and cultural possibilities. And I suppose the council at Meeting Rock took place around this time — in the transition between meadow dwelling and rhododendron dwelling…

Hucka D.:

There had to be a council because there were so many diverse cultures in the area. The Mmmmmm’s, the Mossmen, the Marbles. The big 3 M’s. Then the sentient beavers and their swearing ways. But others you haven’t studied yet. The ones that worship the ditch, and the hole. The lake is alive. Drink Lake.

—–

The Mmmmmm’s wanted to stay in the meadow so they would be seen by rescue planes. But part of them split and wished to live in the rhododendron… safer. A small city (Hermania) was established around TILE Falls and Tip Drip. TILE and Tyle became confused. Meeting Rock was activated. 4n1 or Foreign One or 4orrin1. Hole Tree resonated with the hole at the other end of Drink Lake, Hucka D. Hucka?

Roger Pine Ridge

I thought I’d collect all my facebook related posts about our spring visit from R. Pine Ridge. Enjoy!

Coolie Brighton
March 19 ·

I did it. I invited the lead singer of The Residents to stay with us this summer for a day, a week, a month maybe. All drinks on us. Edna is preparing to move in with our best friend. But I think our best friend might want to stay with us when the visit is in progress, honestly. We’ll go to Linville Falls of course. Beech Mtn., but most of all I have to talk to him about the *aliens* in the woods near our house. I think he and he alone might understand them. And, oh yeah, there’s the synchs. The glorious synchs.

Coolie Brighton
March 21 ·

Several people have written to me about the recent invites to several aging rock stars to come stay with us this summer. I thought I’d post my emails to both ARS for the curious.

—–

[Randy], you don’t know me but I want to invite you to stay with us in the beautiful mtns. of North Carolina, this summer if you wish. A day, a week, yes even a month. Just to get away. I have some awesome fan videos to show you, not 1, 2, but maybe 8 or 9. All an hour approx. We’ll have plenty to watch. And drink! We’ll supply you with any drink you wish. And we’re cool with all the alien stuff. Heck, I know of aliens in these here woods, and I’ve made contact (audio) myself! You’ll love it here in the NC mtns. You won’t regret making the decision to come stay with us for a spell.

—-

Hi Ray. If you ever want to get away from it all come join me and the wife in the beautiful NC mtns. Drinks on us! Come for a day, a week, a month. Randy Rose, lead singer of The Residents, might be joining us, another super hero of ours. I have unique fan videos for you and him both! Hrs. and hrs. and hrs. of entertainment. You hit a home run at the Olympics. Go Brits. Go Kinks! Go Ray!!

—–

Possible future invites: Ringo Starr (McCartney probably too busy), Ralfe Band (Edna’s idea), Tom Waits (oh yeah!… but I’ll have to admit to him that his voice makes me want to run into the hills and scream), David Bowie (but he’s afraid of Americans), David Lynch (!), Fred Frith.

I think I’ll try Fred’s number in California again.

I’ve emailed the honorable Mr. Pine Ridge about our home situation, and the remedies he promises in conjunction with his oh too short stay in our fair hamlet. At the top is where we currently reside, and below it is the house we’ve handpicked for Mr. Pine Ridge to buy us. We’ll start paying him back as soon as we’re able to sell the present place. Thanks so very much once more Sir Roger, and we’ll see you after the Lhasa gig!

R. Pine Ridge has requested to keep him abreast of my music listening before his early May visit so’s he can choose and pick what we talk about. Good idea! Here’s what I heard several times during our Virginia trip yesterday. So different, so profound. Well, maybe not as profound as different. The Resident’s reinterpretation of a John Phillip Sousa classic. Whaddaya think, Roger? Profound and different or just different?

Sorry Roger. I forgot to listen to anything in the car Mon. or Tue. I did look at a couple of videos with lots of music. I’ll talk to you more about them the night of the 2nd. We have parking room for a compact car in the drive. Otherwise you’ll have to walk up the 2 big hills. Oh, sorry, *we’ll* park at the bottom of the hills if it comes to that honorable guest!

Coolie Brighton
May 6 ·

Okay, just to stop the steady flow of questions coming in I’ll post about Roger’s visit. That’s not Rogers’ visit mind you. And it was a visit so someone showed up. I’ve stated that both of us brought videos and popcorn (aawk-ward!). I believe he’s from the future, or else I’m from the past. Doesn’t matter. We watched the videos which was surprising since there was nothing in the present to play them on. See note about past/future above. Still doesn’t matter. Where’s my drink? (to be continued?)

Coolie Brighton
May 6 · Edited ·

We watched the videos, which was surprising. His was on something called s-chord; mine was on betamax. He was 105 and I was 7, but we were both the same age. We watched the videos at the same time, but we didn’t and couldn’t, see. I’ll tell my half. We watched [delete two word name]. He didn’t laugh until [delete first name] showed up wearing an Opel sports shirt. I explained that when he said he’d been on tellie that was actually in the future. Roger understood this but only in the future. Then Roger took a visit to God. That’s how he put it. He pointed to the screen at one point — point — and said, “That’s me.” He was pointing to a flat square, and God was a golden rounded sphere or just golden sphere would do. The Sphere was God. (to be continued?)

Coolie Brighton
May 6 · Edited ·

Roger stopped the betamax video 25 minutes in. Baby Lemonade was playing. Bart and Millhouse were selling lemonade. Roger didn’t like this. We began to argue. Roger said that art was a science and I said it was a religion. Roger said religion was a science and I said religion was and is an art. He talked like he was from a place where art and science and religion had ceased to exist. He was being a complete bastard. I coaxed him into playing a game — cards — Old Kentucky Rook to be exact. 25 minutes in the rook cards were flying like released geese into the air. Roger was bored and I was losing him. The front door beckoned. (to be continued?)

Coolie Brighton
May 6 ·

And that’s about it. I remember being hit on the side of the head by a beer bottle and when I woke up several seconds/minutes/hours later Roger had left. He’d even cleaned up the bottle fragments, and also there were no rook cards on the floor. But, then again, he’d never really been there, and all this was fantasy. Except it wasn’t. Hope you enjoyed the story of my visit! (not be be continued)

Update on R. Pine Ridge’s whereabouts. He’s still in the area! He came by yesterday to borrow a comb. I told him he could keep it! He refused, used, and returned. I threw it into the woods out back just as soon as he was out of sight. He said he was in Kansas. I naturally assumed the state. No, it’s *that* Kansas, the one that’s about 2.75 miles from my house as the jayhawk flies. He’s been reading my secret blog! He’s been playing with my antique pots and pans and bottles out in the Forest. He’s in that gorge. He’s in Kansas. I ain’t Lyo’n.

I’ve had another talk with Mr. Pine Ridge. Turns out he has quite the critical tongue, and around our house there’s a lot of targets for such abuse. I liked the other Mr. Pine Ridge better in this respect, even though he did knock me out with a beer bottle. This newer, second Pine Ridge (the critical one) now wants to live in our basement; fix things up ’round here. He suggested we watch Grey Gardens to get an idea of the what’s ahead down the road — 30 or 40 years — without intervention. I said that perhaps he should stay in his Kansas (local gorge) and work on developing something there instead — art. He doesn’t believe in the Forest aliens, lumping them with fairies, gnomes and elves as “stuff of dreams”. He admitted he thought some wood critters are very clever, approaching human intelligence. Raccoons were specified. Ants. Then aardvarks, jokingly. One of the few laughs we shared. We talked about the other Pine Ridge, the sensitive, dreamy one. “He’s done,” Roger said plainly.

The Contraption at Kansas.

What I know.

Bigger than breadbasket.
More powerful than a locomotive.
Can upload/resize its own profile picture on Facebook.
Can clone itself.
Clones can clone themselves but not ad infinitum (still working on a calculation).
Always reports time in plural (times) not singular.
Laurel and Hardy films repulse it and make its spinners retract.
Sensitive about its offbeat color scheme (repeat: DON’T make jokes about this).
Can eat its own weight in aluminum.
Weighs less than a jumbo sized uranium paperweight.
Can run on AC or DC or both at once or none at once.
Air conditioned; 2 way sneeze vents.
Can exist in up to 5 different hyper-dimensions simultaneously.
Raccoons could make it but it would take them 1 billion years.
Ants also could — 10 billion years.
Aardvards don’t have the ability to build this using any time span, and they should bite their dangly lying, bragging tongues about being able to.
Sheldon of Big Bang Theory could make one but it would take him 10,000 years.
I can’t even figure out how to turn it on.

Needless to say this is what interests R. Pine Ridge The Second about Kansas (gorge). It generated him and the other R. Pine Ridge, to begin. He’s using this to change reality itself. Not only mine but yours as well. You’ve been alerted, even warned.

“New Monkey City, eh Hucka D.?”

Hucka D.:

You can ask your questions.

bb:

Okay. I’ve kind of broken the Billfork rule where you don’t take stuff into the parks from outside. Is this okay?

Hucka D.:

As you have guessed, this is okay in this case.

bb:

Thank you. Would it, say, be a good idea to disrupt the stone piles…

Hucka D.:

Not really.

bb:

Thanks again. (pause) Can you tell me anything more about this New Monkey City?

Hucka D.:

Your space. That’s about all.

bb:

I suppose I could move the Whitehead Crossing bottles up there.

Hucka D.:

Good idea. Good night.

—–

Talking to myself now. So the Strange Gang or perhaps Strang Gang came from Erath over in Herman Park to Whitehead X-ing. In a rocket ship. Another rocket ship landed in New Monkey City, which I’ll have to rename soon. The avatars in NMC had more freedom… not as much deep rooted history in the area. 3 piles of stone greeted them. We know the first name, perhaps, of our Strange or Strang. It’s George.

So…

… the Strang Gang, after the death of Lazy Sideburns Man by the hands hooves of Hater the Cow, used a rocketship to get out of Sharieland and into Whitehead Crossing. And they are separate from Rock?

Hucka D.:

Yes (pause).

bb:

Lazy Sideburns Man wasn’t that lazy after all. He found the original set of golden plates.

Hucka D.:

True (another pause).

bb:

Or was it the same set.

Hucka D.:

[It’s] Your story. Could be.

bb:

We have to understand the nature of this Erath community at or near Heart Lake in Sharieland. On Earth Creek I believe.

Hucka D.:

Yup.

bb:

How did they get the rocketship?

Hucka D.:

Rocketships to them are like covered wagons to the Mormons. The original ones.

bb:

So they just bought some.

Hucka D.:

Yeah.

bb:

Why did they choose Whitehead Crossing?

Hucka D.:

Why did Strang choose Burlington, Wisconsin?

bb:

Vortex, then.

Hucka D.:

Yeah. They could detect that.

bb:

The word Vorhee is fairly close to Vortex for a reason.

Hucka D.:

There was no[ equivalent to] Bear Island with this Gang of Strang. The year was 1973. Elvis was crowned King[ that year].

bb:

So the — our Strang Gang heading to Whitehead Crossing and staying there is like Strang’s own gang heading to Wisconsin and staying put there and not having to move to Michigan.

Hucka D.:

It was about the twins, see. Twinning. Lazy Sideburns Man and his deceased twin, obviously. Think of Psychogumma.

bb:

Marion Crane’s twin who was her sister in the movie. But in the synch it’s obvious this is the sister reborn, after her death earlier on. It’s… you go.

Hucka D.:

It’s death of vegetation in the Fall and rebirth in the Spring as well. Vernal. Leaf. Leaf Erick’s Son appears in the Spring, several weeks back.

bb:

Hmmm… Leaf as the original original Whitehead X-ing explorer. He found Vinland. And then he found No Title Spring, which is the equivalent to the Norumbega River in reality. And he established a temple or fort there.

Hucka D.:

He knew of Grey Seal, although he didn’t put the Grey and the Seal together[ at that time]. Yes, Leaf was in Vineland or Vinland as it was later shortened to. He saw and also partially understood The Loop at the end of the Rainbow Line.

bb:

Leaf in Ms. Avent could be Advent, like the advent or arrival of leaves.

Hucka D.:

Royce.

bb:

Royce means something too.

bb:

Then Leaf in Ga in White County, as in Ms. it’s in Greene. Pink nearby[ in Ga.]. And of course that’s a Winesap manifestation. White and pink are types of static noise. Masking noise.

bb:

I believe our Leaf Erick’s Son landed near Grass or Reed Lake, Hucka.

Strang Gang?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_J._Strang

In 1850 Strang proclaimed himself king, but not of the island itself. Rather, he claimed to be king over his church, which at that time contained most of the island’s inhabitants. He was crowned on July 8 of that year inside a large log “tabernacle” built by his followers, in an elaborate ceremony that featured a crown (described by one witness as “a shiny metal ring with a cluster of glass stars in the front”),[17] a red royal robe, a shield, breastplate, and wooden scepter. The Strangite tabernacle and Strang’s modest house are both long gone, as are the Strangite royal regalia, but a print shop built by his disciples remains—the only Strangite building left on Beaver. Today, it houses a museum dedicated to the island’s history.

Original post re the Strange Gang, soon to become the (correctly named) Strang Gang:

Then in the spring, they are admitted into 4 Sticks and not repelled as before. Lazy Sideburns Man is crowned King.

Coincidence? Then what about the Manchester statue in a recent Whitehead X-ing based collage? Is this a parallel with the Angel Moroni statue of Manchester, NY?

Strange (sorry):

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voree_Plates

Keith Thompson, of Manchester, England, alleges that the text on the plates matches Strang’s published translation. Although he did not identify the values of specific characters, Thompson claimed to have shown how words such as “and”, “in”, and “are” appear in multiple places.

What have I dug up?

Hucka D.:

The fairies of the land were Wilcoxin. Wilcocksin. Each and every one drank coffee, and at least the equivalent of 5 shots of expresso. The plates were found on the hill; the temple and the plates above them (on this hill) come as a set. This is the influence of Voree, and Strang as the correctly crowned successor to Smith. But in your story Strang is the twin brother of the parallel to Smith, who was killed or crushed by Hater the Cow in Erath over in Herman Park’s Sharieland. Now you know of at least another rocket which took the Strang Gang from Sharieland and Erath to Whitehead Crossing. Is this the same as Rock’s rocket? Now you have (at least) two. The Strang Gang is now at the center of 4 Sticks, and a King has been crowned before you knew of this real world Strang. Already you knew of the Mormon influence( in Whitehead X-ing). Now this is deepened.

bb:

Thank you, Hucka D. We’ll talk more on this later.
