And so we begin at the end, 561 steps from. Walking down, we’ve returned to the ONE but with nowhere to go but back up.
“NEXT!”

He wanted that dress but his mama wouldn’t let him have it. This is Jemison after all, where a man is a man and a woman is a woman and neither the two shall mix. At least in the same person.
So later he went off and invented his *own* Jemison. A whole planet’s worth of it. Worth it? (500 million) Maybe.
But doesn’t its capital and largest metropolis look like my Collagesity from a distance? Kindof queer.
Now where’s that man-woman who started it all inside?

Is that a *shoe* represented below Martha’s Vineyard’s left foot as pointed out by Gerald’s lap-dancing robot Chomp formerly Chop?
Hmm. Anyway, having successfully found the light inside the dark in the interior of the Badlands Grocery Store in Interior, Fern Stalin and Billy Clockwork decide to visit 4 Buttes while they’re up in the real world, since it’s just a hop and a skip away from them over the South Dakota line in Montana. Or so they thought. But what they viewed when they got there 7 hours and 47 minutes later surprised them (again!) and made the much longer than expected trip kind of all worthwhile. The buttes didn’t appear pointy at all now like in the photos from section 02, seemingly worn down by the erosions of time. “Something’s flat, something’s off,” Fern free associated beside the rental truck while staring, thinking of soda and fizz and the lack thereof.
After taking the last draw off her old soda in hand, Fern decides that they missed something in South Dakota which caused this alternate 4 Buttes to, er, arise. “Wall,” she said intuitively to her clockwork traveling companion. “Something about Wall.” Billy knew Fern was talking about the original Real Life town they teleported into from Our Second Life (thanks Mistress!) before making their way across the the heart of the Badlands to Interior. “Maybe something to do with the famous tourist trap drug store there also named Wall,” she continued in this vein, thinking back to their visit to it through her photographic memory. “Maybe…”
“Got it! A postcard I saw there. 420, Billy — seating capacity for the drug store’s cafe on the postcard but so much more. That’s what we’re looking for. Something at or about 420.” And another welcome sign, she also soon gleaned.

He returned to Clobber to try and find a proper mate in which to fight the aberrant planetary forces together, under one roof. Poison Ivy came to mind.
He can’t see what’s staring at him right in front of his face, Sandy Beech thinks in his upper central Maebaleia continent psychiatrist office, viewing the terminal depicting where his brainwashed, abstracted superhero was now. Looking for an Eve to his Adam; tired of inept subordinates picked basically at random from the scum that represents humanity polluting its perfect, cubic surfaces. No, it would have to be another superhero, another planetary force to reckon with, Sandy Beech thought in tandem with the Captain. And there’s no more deadly planetary force to deal with than Poison. Ivy, that is. Only the Mother calls it Poison, as she should.
So many choices await him. There are many more options than Poison. Could go with a more wholesome mate. Like Kudzu, like Weedwoman, *different* from Flowerwoman, although the latter is an option too, he supposes. I wonder if the Incredible Bulk has a female green counterpart? he wonders. But how about *Wonderwoman*, hmm. No, too ordinary, too mundane, he decides. Like picking Superman or Batman if he was instead a woman. Same with Batgirl or Supergirl of course in his shoes. And better it be a so called “villain” — in the villain category — instead of on the positive side. *He’s* on the positive side. He needs a balance. Maybe Poison is the way to go after all. But he better get to looking through all the aisles before the morning is gone from him and he has to start preparing for his afternoon walk. 12 noon now. 12:06 actually.
Tired of watching and having chores to do himself, Sandy logs off, letting Captain Planetary have a look around unaccompanied by observing eyes. For now. He decides to start from the back, probably more the place to find the villians over the heroes, he thinks. His mind quickly turns to aliens.
Sandy already knew this would happen.

Gerald woke up in some flaming bushes of the royal greenhouse and tried to remember what happened to him during his latest (and greatest?) graytop trip. What’s this bloody mask? he thought to begin, flinging aside the feathery, white thing. Ahh yes, Princess Annabel’s masquerade ball down at the palace, pheh. And he’d flirted with… how many women? But why didn’t he sleep with any of ’em? Ahh, said he had a date with the *bushes*, he recalls. Thus: here. Hmm, *why* did I have to go to the bushes? The flaming ones? Think Gerald. Think! Something about… cubes.

… before it’s too late.
She timed the exit perfectly. “Oh. Hi Shelley. Seems we’re going out at the same time.”
“Hi Lexi,” Shelley said while stopping her walk, letting her neighbor approach. “Where’re you heading?”
“You first.”
“I thought about shopping down at the mega-mall today. Boot sale at Fairies.”
“Hey, me too! What are the odds?”
Too odd, Shelley thought, but went along with it good-naturedly. She was use to attention like this, could handle the needed distance. She walked her own beat. In her own shoes. Keds, soon to be more she hoped.
But the boots didn’t suit her and she emerged from the Hooktip mega-mall still with Keds. Keds for the kids, she figured, to go along with the hair style she hadn’t changed since childhood. Lexi said she couldn’t find any boots to suit her as well, so retained her own shoes too, black cosplays I believe.
As they arrived back at their apartments, Lexi invites Shelley to help her unpack the big plywood cube from Montana that arrived yesterday’s day before (Saturday). “Get this,” she said. “There’s a robot dog in there just like from my childhood. Can’t *wait* to put it together.” But then Lexi remembered the likewise plywood colored pictures on her living room wall, the shells and, especially, the keyhole with the beautiful girl inside, Lexi’s representation of Shelley as Fern had already determined during her visit several posts back. “Uh, just remembered my apartment is a mess,” she backtracked. “Need to clean up. Maybe tomorrow, he he.”
Shelley stuck out her hand to shake. “It’s a date,” making Lexi actually blush a bit. She’d been waiting for this moment for so long. Date, but not what she hoped. Still the word was out there, ready to be molded into something different. She envisions a happy ending. And she’ll have that robot built by then and they can play fetch with it or something. It can be *their* pet. Together (sigh). She finally remembers to let go of Shelley’s hand.
“Laters,” Shelley says, using that same hand to wave brief parting in one, graceful motion, like a dancer, Lexi noted. Soon she will be dancing to a different beat, she hopes, watching her walk away.

Fern realized something else while staring at this suspiciously plywood colored picture more in the center of the room but didn’t say it aloud.
She waited for this until she and Lichen met up for their typical evening walk within the innards of Castle Town not seen in a photo since section 01 of this here novel.
“She loves her,” Fern said to her companion at their standard starting point in the Yalta Bar and Grill, sharing a beer before they begin. “Romantic that she is I guess it couldn’t be helped. She holds the key to my heart is the message. Right up there on the wall separating her from Shelley. Again. It was as if…”
“… she were peeking inside,” guessed Lichen.
“Good, right. Now all we have to do is finish connecting the 152 dots in the puzzle. Up to 76 I believe.” Seventy-six, Fern discerns once more. Kentucky! Alpha, Wait, Stop-gap, Hidalgo, Static, Snow, *Wendy*.
“Well. I guess that goes along with being a Pisces, water sign and all,” continued Lichen about Lexi. “Her home town — drowned when she was young.”
“Submerged yes.” And Fern then understood where they had to go next. Snorkeling in Flathead Lake, divided between the counties of Flathead and Lake of all things. And Polson the largest city along the shoreline. Another indicator. This was to be made into an Art Event.
