Well they’re having some fun, aren’t they. But Gill/Vain and Artery Boy doesn’t think he’s putting his best face forward so they stop this…

… and move on to the toy room where Gill feels Rock hogs the horsie while he’s stuck on the slide.

Literally stuck, as it turned out. “I’ll get you out of there, buddy,” speaks Rock over to his helpless mate. “Just as sooon… as I finish this picture I’m working on, he he.”

“F- you.”

Then it’s on to the climbing wall where Rock enjoys the view just before things turn tragic and Gill tumbles downward after being distracted by a passing balloon. “Nice work… *Jill*,” Rock belabors head holding Gill at the bottom (pronounced with a hard g of course instead of the soft one), making his day even worse. He promises to get even in the end, though…

“No room on the ship no room on the ship!” he cries while Rock sheds tears outside, knowing the Earth is about to blow up and he’s going with it. The aliens only save one this day.

Now Gill can get a good night’s sleep amongst the stars, HA.

“Okay, toy room’s closing in 5 minutes, *children*,” spoke ship steward Jimmy Bimimmy to Rock and Gill at 9:55. “Can you find your way back to your rooms? Do you want me to call your Mommy and Daddy to come help you?” (*snicker*)

“I’m glad we switched places so that my blue side is showing,” spoke Vain and Artery Boy, our Gill Alex, over to lover and perhaps brother (from another mother) Rock Ramby, formerly of Chaucey. Always vain, this tri-colored avatar is, wanting to show his best side to the outside world, the camera, the 4th wall which both knew was always there when they appeared in these here photo-novels. Self-awareness of sorts, if only in a narcissistic way. “I’m sorry,” Vain and Artery Boy continued, “if that particular side reminds you of my old lover, the Blue Berry Girl we’ve been talking about so much recently. I wish her well,” he spoke huskily, adapting to the ocean air at last, “but it’s over, done, kaput. We will probably never speak to each other again.”

Rock took it all in. He knew they were here to look for a knob, and not necessarily his, although it does involve rocks, as in a Rocky knob. Just over there somewhere in Big Sandy, just out of sight from their perspective on the starboard side of the USS Galaxy, draw distance extended to the max while they were sitting here and not experiencing any lag through movement. If only they had Mrs. Ordinary’s pricey, fancy schmancy long seeing eyes it might be spotted. Still… soon enough. Mrs. Ordinary was a friend and she lived right below it. Vain and Artery Boy just had to ditch Blue Berry Girl, probably crying her own eyes out in her room somewhere across from them, he imagined. But in actuality, she was quite relieved of the unburdening. She’d met someone else too, a new person and not an old love in his case. Chaucey (there’s that name again). Also known as Bill Ups I believe. I’ll check asap.

N-W-E-S

I knew Rock Ramby lived or at least *sat* in the cabin at the center of this circle of railroad in a forest grove of huge trees of his design. Or so he claimed. I knew that Gill Alex lived here as well, his Vain and Artery Boy that Santa-like Sven, who runs a packing industry over in nearby Misty Mountains, delivers a fresh supply of every now and then, always a happy moment for Rock. He likes his boy mate to be rock hard and real seeming, veins and arteries popping out in the right locations and correct hemispheres.

Then I knew that Blue Berry Girl, also from the Misty Mountains and maybe even the same as Sven in some mysterious way, came to Rock’s place, and, Wonka-like, shed her spherical blueberry encasement while crossing the RR track to enter the cabin. The dog at the house seemed to know her after the blue sphere disappeared, but earlier we understood this was Rock’s canine. So who lives here, Rock or Blue Berry Girl? And why did Rock’s fair haired mate and Blue Berry Girl later conjoin at NWES City at that ill-fated meeting hosted by Dr. Rabbid Baumbeer, ending with his death at the hands of, um, I believe her name was — yes — Lu Ellen Hutchinson? Or Hutchison. Why did Baumbeer take the green seat of the 4 after yellow topped Vain and Artery Boy, later Gill Alex, took the yellow seat, Blue Berry Girl, sans exterior sphere by this time, took the blue seat opposite him, and red hatted Lu Ellen sat down in the red one opposite Baumbeer’s, gunns ready to be pulled at the right or correct moment? Ka-POW!! POW POW!! *POP* POW!! Meeting adjourned.

My current theory about all this is that Gill Alex, Vain and Artery Boy if you will, is the same as Blue Berry Girl — they are part of one entity. Likewise for fellow opposites Lu Ellen and Dr. Baumbeer sitting around this same, four-square circle. And then the two pairs also correspond in a higher manner. This is one entity masquerading — if you will — as 4 separate entities. Each of the 4 represent an aspect of the 1. A great 4n1 or 4orrin1 or Foreign One. If you will.

But who is in the center, then? The actual person behind the people? Or meeples? Is it TILE? Is it the River or Riiii-ver? 12 square tiles linked from source to mouth, a complete stream to start the game like beginning Crosby progresses to ending Young through middlings Stills and Nash? TILE update with thieving or crooked red fishermen (and/or farmers) included?

Dr. Baumbeer might have been murdered because he was the only one who retained the knowledge of the 4n1 or 4orrin1 or Foreign One. He might have been the same as green toned Bullfrog, who a little earlier, had killed Lu Ellen’s father. If so, this seems like a revenge killing pure and simple but is actually more. This was the elimination or eradication or hiding of a certain type of truth, a central core. It seems meaningful that the red one did the shooting with the gunns: Lu Ellen Hutchison played by mediocre actor Alice Frame, who also stars in the current production as similarly red topped Wendy. Character-actor Sandy Beech is recruiting her hard for The Twins’ production, some kind of remake of “The Shining” or something, perhaps involving decisions made at crossroads. But the warm and fuzzy atmosphere of “Burger Wars” still represents a lure for Alice despite all the linden dollars being thrown around.

Black D. 03

Back at their rented house, the local servant boy was offering them some kind of regional soup that looked grody to the max to Gill Alex. He instead stared out toward the sea, which at least they can *see* from this spot, if not visit. “Rain’s coming in again,” he observed. “Had a brief reprieve…” “Between 4 and 6,” Rock completed for him. Always thinking about numbers, he observed himself about his brother-lover. Always 4, always 6. Like clockwork.  The rain just cooperated with what was already in his split hemispheric mind. Thank Gods for the topping golden hair. He could always talk rationally with that; it operated the mouth parts and most of the nose and ears. The eyes he couldn’t control. Gill Alex continued to stare at the sea and become one with it. He kept thinking of the eye they spoke about earlier. Tulsa was typing out her notes on a (regional) computer-typewriter by now, getting ready for a splashy, stormy front page story in the NWES Gazette. Picture here:

Black D. 02

I am both the contrary motions of male and female in one body,” he spoke over to his brother-lover Rock Ramby, who was sure to go everywhere Little Robert Plant Variant Vain and Artery Boy Gill Alex went. What a lamb. They were on vacation from Misty MO, like last year around this same time. “Always hurricane season for a coastal town,” Gill Alex groused about the location choice again. “Can’t go to the beach. Can’t lay out this gorgeous body on a sun towel for every passing boy and/or girl to ogle at.” He reflexively flexed his blue toned arm muscle with this for Rock. “Hard as *you*,” he added while patting it, making his significant other grin. “Shut up,” he waved Gill off.  He knew he had to take certain kinds of pills now to be a serviceable lover. And Gill Alex liked to rub it in every now and then — when the opening occurred. They were playful and carefree like that. “*This* one,” — he flexed the muscle in his red arm now — “not as strong. Weak. Limp, even.” “Alright, knock it off Gill. Or should I call you… Alex.” Gill Alex shut up, then. He didn’t like his first and last names switched with each other, not one bite. He took another bit of his butterscotch topped doughnut in front of him so he could bite his tongue. He knew he deserved the come back. Then he got over it. Just that quickly. They were… well they were who they were. More Popeyes.

Speaking of which, Rocky Ramby was about to reveal to brother-lover Gill Alex why they were *actually* here.

Tulsa behind them was taking notes all the time.

“Oklahoma,” he started. “Oklahoma, then Olive.”

“Confederation?” expressed Gill Alex reflexively. When was the last time he’d thought about *that*.

They were here for the *eye*.

back

“Peanut,” answers Rock Ramby in his gruff voice to lover Gill Alex in their more expensive apartment on Southside. “That’s what we’re looking for. They’re all over town. Along with that other guy. The Guy guy.” He continues to stare out toward the sea.

“Guy Linden,” responds Gill in an effeminate voice from the pillows with the books inside, currently enjoying the backside of Rock instead. “Met him once on a railroad.”

Rock swings around and looks at Gill Alex directly. “W-why didn’t you tell me this?”

“I don’t know.” Rock’s front was not nearly as pleasant to behold as the behind. He was truly angry this bit of information was withheld from him.

“Especially concerning a *RR*.”

They later ate at Spunky’s, a popular, local watering hole that we’ve already seen other characters of this current Collagesity photo-novel at (Merry Gouldbusk, Herbert Dune, maybe some others).

Oh, sorry… wrong “coffee Japanese Tea House.” There’re so many of ’em in NWES!

… let’s start again. They later dined at Spunky’s, a local, popular place to eat and drink.

Rock was taking too long to eat, as usual for his lover. Gill Alex was only drinking by this point, far ahead of his partner in that aspect. His two toned brain began to spin around the idea of the Guy again.

“He wasn’t my lover,” he defends between gulps, and then clunks the glass noisily on the table. “*Lover*.” His voice was increasingly becoming more Zeus-like, as it had been in novel 13. Not quite but getting there.

Rock woofs down some more lasagna pasta. “I know that, I know that,” he murmurs while simultaneously chewing, a little less gruff in tone to balance things out. “It’s just, ahem,” and here he sets down the fork quietly. “The RR and all.”

“Hitchcock?” Gill Alex scoffs. “We haven’t talked about that idea in months.” Then he had another idea. “Blue Berry Girl? Is *she* involved?” He stared at his purple wine back in front of his face. The glass seemed to hold a story.

Out of the Misty Mountains she came, landing just outside Rock Ramby’s RR.

The dogg started barking…

… but then stopped as Blue Berry Girl crossed the RR and lost her plump, blue encasement. Herself at last!

Dogg bounded toward her, recognizing the long lost master. She scratched his ears while talking. “Outside, over there, I’m fat and bloated to the world. Inside I am free.” She looked toward the cabin no one lived in. “I’ll never be unfree again.”

“Vein and Artery Boy is a pet nickname. His real name is…”

“Wait,” implored Allen Y. to speaking Rock. “Lemme guess: Hitchcock.”

Rock Ramby and “Vein and Artery Boy” share a sly smile.

“No?” Allen Y. kept pushing. “Am I wrong?”

“Did I ever tell you how Rock got his name?” VA Boy boomed a little later on. The Hitchcock appellation hadn’t been resolved.

“No. Not in the 15 minutes we’ve ever been talking to each other.”

“You haven’t been here before?” VA Boy looked over at Rock with this, who just shook his head back. “This isn’t… *Hitchcock*?”

“*Anyway*, back to the dog.”

“Oooh. *This* story.” Rock settled back in his seat and crossed his hands behind his head. He seemed to be preparing himself for a long one; VA Boy was about as chatty as Rock, and almost as conceited, it appeared. But — strangely to Allen Y. — they *complemented* each other, as if Allen Y. understood now how each formed the way they did. In some couples it is done by balancing weaknesses with strengths. In this case, it was *accenting* those. They’d been so boastful to each other down through the years now, apparently, that it had become a kind of refined game or ritual. And now, Allen Y. sensed, they were stuck in these patterns, unable to really converse successfully to anyone else. It was an odd realization. But — he understood — there was a deeper mystery to it still which everything pivoted around. Hitchcock. A *game*, yes. He would soon learn the surface name for that game. And it wasn’t Hitchcock.

Exactly where Santa Sven disappeared as a point in the sky, another came. Was this Hitchcock? We’ll see!

Rock Ramby sure knows about trees and plants, thought Allen Y., listening in for the second hour now as the muscular dude babbled on. “The redwoods are a hybrid clone,” he was currently saying. “I got dwarves as well. I created all and everything on this sim,” he reinforced again. “Horses too.”

“Tricksy?” Allen ventured while scratching his chin, testing the water.

“That a horse name?” he came back. “Doesn’t sound like one.”

“Yeah, that’s the one I mentioned meeting on the way over here. All the way back at the first of our, er, conversation.” A long, long way back, he thought to himself. And he hasn’t mentioned this mysterious Hitchcock in a long time either.

“Mirabel,” corrected Rock. “A transer, yeah. Tricksy could have been it.”

“That’s what she said,” Allen held firm. Blasted know-it-all. In truth, Allen Y. had become weary of the chatter about 20 minutes in. He’d heard enough blowhards back on his home planet of Elven.

Just then, what appeared to be jingle bells sounded outside the cabin, breaking the banter. “Cool,” Rock Ramby then beamed. “Sven’s back. Runs a packing industry over in Meat City Misty Mountain, you know. Let’s take a look.” Rock springs up from the chair on his powerful legs and moves toward the front door. He draws his knife just in case. Less spry Allen Y. stands and follows; peers through the opening behind him.

“More veins and arteries for your boy, Rock,” called Sven merrily, landing just behind the circular train track. He threw a bowed package in his direction, which Rock deftly caught, knife still in hand. “Schweet,” he yelped. “Thanks Santa!”

“Sven, please. Merry, um, Something!” he shouted as his jingling reindeer lifted him and his heavily packed sleigh back into the sky. “Merry Something to All!”

Shuffling behind Allen Y. as he watched the sleigh recede. He turned. “I heard my name,” issued a Zeus-like voice.

Where the hell have *you* been hiding? the yellow alien thought.

“Blueberry Hill,” spoke wise bee-person Hucka Doobie at the recently relocated Blue Feather in 7 Stones while pointing at the appropriate place on the depicted map. “Reinforced by Orange(dale) just above. Formerly Blue *Berry* Hill. Hidden on the former Bee County map LINK. But it’s actually Violet… Violet Beauregarde of the Willy Wonka franchise; golden ticket winner. Puffed up like a blueberry at the dessert end of her 3 course gum chew and rolled away by the Oompa Loompas at the end of their song like a giant marble. Violet… a balance between Red (Hill) and Blue (Mountain). Combo, really, like the pigments.”

Hucka turns. “Questions?”

An old train track encircled the cabin, which struck Allen Y. as odd. Why a train out in the middle of nowhere? he asked himself. Why a circle? He crossed the track, but something seemed different, then. An enclosure, just like when he felt he couldn’t breath and had to wear his hydrogen helmet topped with the far seeing eyes. In fact, he better put it on again just to be safe. So the 2 circles become one here.

“Hello?” he called just inside the track. “Anybody there?”

Sleeveless, muscular Rock Ramby came onto the weather worn porch, stared at him. “RR at your service,” he offered in a low, calm voice. “What can I do you for?”
