“See? It’s all about Greenup, Mr. Babyface. This Floydada Lime it’s called.”

“All (sections) named after fruit?”

“That is correct my fine neighbor.” His voice was mild and youthful; his neighbor’s gruff and aged, countering the babyface appearance.

“Well… if you’re Pierre, as you say, then this town is in for a lot of turning upside down soon. Do you plan to bring back Carr?” Carr was short for Carrcassonnee, the former, alien ruler of Collagesity/7 Stones before the 2016 coup.

“It all depends,” he replies to the babyface man with the gruff, aged voice. “Tell me all about this Wheeler.”

—–

“Damn eyesore it is,” Mr. Babyface suddenly declared, pausing in his spiel about present town ruler Wheeler. “Look at that thing looming up in the air.” He indicated out the window at the boxy Edwardston Station Gallery, the skybox everyone in town is voting on whether to keep. We have two naysayers in the matter sitting here in Mr. Babyface’s lower floor of his Kidd Tower apartment. Mr. Babyface decided “no” the minute he set eyes on the cube; The Man About Time’s choice came a little later. And now he had “Floydada.”

—–

“There’s also a ‘Floydadada’, Mr. Babyface. That’s the one I want next — might even be in SoSo. When I find that I’ll tell the townspeople who I really am, and that I wasn’t killed atall in that giant Lake District gash known as Piers Gill. Instead: Gills Pier. Michigan. 2052.”

But Mr. Babyface knew all about the legend of Pierre Schaeffer. It had been taught in his schools since he was a babyfaced lad.

“Let me show you something, neighbor. *Confidant*.” He scrolls the page down just a bit. “This is me.”

C1718W fun facts 02

Hispanic-Irish clown Renaldo O’Donnell has now been killed at least 3 times in various Collagesity novels, specifically the locations of VHC City, Olde Lapara Towne, and now Capitol City (“to make it all work”).

The sacrificial alter he perishes on this time around has the same demonic entity pictured on it that existed within the infamous Purple Tower of VHC City, as seen in one of my 2013 blog posts. This seems to tie into the fact that O’Donnell was deemed an oo’d in the most recent novel. I’ll leave it at that.

Old Man Allen Martin, not seen since “Collagesity 2017 Middle” where he also died in the VHC City underground like O’Donnell, makes a cameo in “Collagesity 2017-2018 Winter” as a ghost (“Clemscott”).

3 “bluebirds” appear in “Collagesity 2017-2018 Winter”: an actual bluebird named Bluebell in “Brilliant Twin” (6th post of Part 2), the coffin of a pirate named Bluebird accented by a topping blue rose in “resting place 02” (9th post of Part 4), and then the Bluebird Cuddle Van of “illusions” (6th post of Part 6). Thank goodness “resting place 02” isn’t the 6th post of its part as well, else: 666. Then again, a 9 is but a 6 rotated on its axis. 😮

Another drink mentioned several times in “Collagesity 2017-2018 Winter” is Brewmeister’s Quarterly, a strong German beer.

“Come to Mimosa” can be seen outside Duncan Avocado’s window in “Collagewold”.  Earlier, Mimosa is mentioned as actor Tom Casey’s home course (“Mimosa”). The author (me!) grew up next to a golf course called Mimosa Hills, where my mother actually made a hole-in-one on the par 3 17th, just like Tom’s character Casey One Hole repeatedly does.

“Jackie, Ona,” and, “the strangely cool yet confusing Sis brothers,” mentioned in “Beamers” refers to Jackie Onassis, originally Jackie Kennedy, wife of JFK.

An unresolved aspect of “Collagesity 2017-2018 Winter” is the nature of Tonya Two Egg’s arch nemesis JERRY. But I happen to know that this might be the same as Harry. More later on that perhaps…

A number of names and locations in “Collagesity2017-2018 Winter” are taken from real life US towns, such as Two Egg (Florida), Gene Autry (Oklahoma), Pine Ridge (Arkansas), and Opp (Alabama).

The General Tom Thumb story relayed by Broken Heart in “The End 01” is absolutely true.

Duncan Avocado’s mentioned companion Thimble, one of Sugar’s Berries (prostitutes), also ties in here, as the Thimble Islands of Connecticut are supposedly named for the local thimbleberries and have nothing to do with sewing thimbles.

The “lone star shaped swimming pool” touched upon in “the evolution of the couch” has a real life parallel in Hilltop Lakes, Texas.

Leona Lei and the Hilltoppers from the same post is another one of those after-the-fact “accidental” references to real life hillbilly musicians Nancy Lee and the Hilltoppers, known for their song “In a Little Red Barn”.

There are 2 trees named MOA in “Collagesity 2017-2018 Winter”, but of vastly different sizes (“spots 02”/“What is it?” and “Well, we have a giant *beaver*. How’s that?”)

Anton of Anson is based on a real story. He could be there as I write this. 🙂

“Purple Gang of Black Lake District” in “Well, we have a giant *beaver*. How’s that?” is partially based upon the infamous Purple Gang that terrorized Michigan in the early 1900s, and are claimed to have visited Black Lake in the upper part of the state. This Purple Gang was also known as the Sugar House Gang, and sugar house is a term featured in “Collagesity 2017-2018 Winter” and also “Collagesity 2017 Later”preceding it. The true relationship of Gaston’s two sugar houses remains unknown as of this writing.

The 4 names marked on the Nautilus City map seen in “pinpoint” are all subsequently visited by Junbug (“the evolution of the ring”/“I am Kelp.”)

In “Collagesity 2017-2018 Winter,” we never learn the identity of the mystery figure walking behind the picket fence of “play with me”, but I can reveal to you here that it is Planters’ Mr. Peanut.

The same stylized map of Second Lyfe’s continents appears in “Anson Anton” and (in the center of a celestial globe) “continuation”.

In “the evolution of the ring”, character Roger Pine Ridge naturally finds himself seated in a Pine Ridge chair beside Junbug. More fate, as we can call it.

The poodle is perhaps the central image of Frank Zappa’s lyrical mythos, and Anorexia/Annie’s hatred of poodles mentioned in “gift” seems to stem from her former status as a Zappa groupie.

Historic population place Ferndale of Casey County, Kentucky had a strange variant name of Poodle Doo, still the name of a road in the area. Annie articulates her hatred of poodles to a man named Casey in that post.

We never learn much about Philip Strevor’s red book he always seems to carry around with him except that it predicts the future.

Philip’s sidekick Heidi Hunt Ives is seen with a blue book in “directions”, which changes covers three time during the course of the post.

Jacob I.’s attempts to reach Stonethwaite in the Lake District of England through Falmouth 36 (“Falmouth Visit Floor 3”) seems to remain unfulfilled in the story, adding it to his other “failures” he lists out in “The End 02”.

Hucka Doobie’s etheral home called The White Palace is cited in several other Collagesity novels before “Collagesity 2017-2018 Winter”, beginning with the original novel of the series (“Collagesity 2015-2016 Winter”). We never actually see this palace in the series, though.

Regarding some of Gaeta V’s mentioned sims in “Collagesity 2017-2018 Winter”: Capitol City’s Babablacksheep, first mentioned in “HHI Again”, is really the sim of Babayagashut… Clemscott is actually the sim Danascott (Clemscott is another US map name). Comfrey is an actual name of a Gaeta V sim, although most of the action claimed to take place there in the novel is really from an estate island with a similar name.

Popular Collagesity character Karoz Blogger doesn’t appear in “Collagesity 2017-2018 Winter”, making only the second time in the series this has happened (along with “Collagesity 2017 Middle”).

And that’s it for another installment of “Collagesity 2017-2018 Winter” fun facts! Hope you enjoyed it.

pretty things

“Bucket of nails,” requests Wilson to Terry. “And make it bloody.”

“Ahem,” intercedes Baker Bloch. “Not open yet, Wilson. Sorry.”

“Yeah, sorry,” echoes Terry. He tries to size up his new potential customer, but can’t quite make out what’s the deal-i-o. Baker helps.

“So you’re a man again,” he states to Wilson.

“Yeah. A pretty man. Let me show you. You haven’t seen yet.”

“Just a glimpse at the police station. How’s Burt the Cop doing?”

“Brutus?” replies Wilson. “Prostitute problems as usual. Gaston’s filled with them, even choking on them. Berries. Cherry, Raspberry, Blueberry. Lemon. Yes, Berry is fully intertwined with Gaston. You knew Lemon on Mars didn’t you?”

“I did,” states Baker, thinking back fondly to his stay in futuristic INSCO. “Have you seen her? She ran around with Sugar then, but wasn’t a prostitute (like her) at the time. Circumstances must have changed. Science is getting tough to swallow for many.”

“I’m not sure she’s really a whore there,” says Wilson. “She could be undercover. Brutus hinted at so much. Purple Gang. Burt Lake Band. Crooked.”

“Oden, then,” responds Baker.

“Yeah. Have you seen him?”

“Old Gregg?”

“Right.”

“Maybe a glimpse as well at Morrison. Rockabilly Cafe. But we’re done filming there.” He pauses. “And you haven’t shown me the new face yet.”

Wilson changes.

“That’s way too pretty, man,” Baker offers. “For a man. How about a scar? What do you think Terry?”

“It was something more this time. It was beyond Peter Dunne. Done Deal Dunne.”

bb:

So Rainbowology comes from the Cross of the Lamb idea but extends beyond it.

Carr.:

Rainbowology is something new. A seed. Ylem. Apple. Maumee. Oblio. Birth. Then Farr takes over, har har.

bb:

Glad you liked that.

Carr.:

I made it (!)

bb:

Not surprising. Where is all this heading?

on 2 St. Joe’s, and then… *rainbowology*!

Just fyi and to complete the thing, I kind of reversed the rainbowology story below tonight to have it being born in Ft. Wayne, at the beginning of the Maumee R., and then die in Toledo, at its end, when native Farr assumes his eerie position as world controller. Believe what you will of it.

—–

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Joseph_River_%28Lake_Michigan%29

Stjosephmirivermap

It shares its name with the St. Joseph River of Lake Michigan, but the two rivers flow in generally opposite directions.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Joseph_River_%28Maumee_River%29

Maumeerivermap

The St. Joseph River forms in northern Williams County, Ohio, at the confluence of the East and West branches at 41°38′54″N 84°33′55″W[2][3][4] Both branches rise in southern Hillsdale County, Michigan. The headwaters of the East Branch are within 3 miles (4.8 km) of those of the St. Joseph River of Lake Michigan.

“Peter finds a map of Hillsdale County in a Newton library in the late 1800s or early 1900s. The 2 St. Joe Rivers are joined. They are the same river. At a certain point they are separated as 2 snakes separated from each other. This occurs at Ft. Wayne.

birth of baby rainbowology

joseph02

Early in its history, rainbowology development was jump-started by Johnny Appleseed’s discovery of the irrevocable differences between apples and oranges, and never the twain shall meet. Reminds me of the famous knock knock joke that ends, “orange you glad I didn’t say apple?”

appleseed01

In 1969 Defiance, Ohio native Frank Floydada discovered the genetic link between apples, oranges, lemons and limes, and was brutally beaten and murdered for his revelations, as well as discredited. Rainbowology continued to flourish.

floydadatombstone

In 1979, actor Maxwell Jamie Klinger Farr discovered the first mashup during a break on the set of AfterMASH. While watching an episode of The Munsters where Lilly Herman says, “take my hand” to a palm reading customer, in the next trailer over fellow AfterMASH star Henry General Potter Morgan viewed Helen Krump taking the hand of Andy Griffith in marriage on the 1st episode of Mayberry R.F.D. They later compared notes; Farr’s famous “Mayberry Munster MASH” creation soon followed. Johnny Appleseed’s long standing apples-against-oranges edict first became vulnerable.

farrhands

In 1983, backwards messages in Gary Burghoff’s acid jazz album “Radar Spelled Backwards is Still Radar” revealed that Farr is an alien from the planet 3M orbiting the red giant Aldebaran who intends to take over the world by morphing it into a colossal mashup over the next 30 years. “Mayberry Munster MASH” was just the seed, the messages imply; Burghoff has refused comments.

https://i.chzbgr.com/maxW500/4830356736/h7832298F/

h7832298F

In 2013, true to the “Radar” messages, Farr actually took control of our planet, although he then quickly manipulated time so that everyone would forget this. The corpse of Rainbowology was discarded into an eerie, unmarked grave. MASHUP is ubiquitous.

Zap

The Zappers live at the terminus of Frank Park’s 4th Way, Hucka. Chuck and possibly a wife. Like Charlie or Chuck Brown. Chuck represents unification of Zircon (Zappers), or the Confederation. He must be an expert on the history of the Confederation. Not the Confederacy, mind you — Confederation. This would be 1784. Like the United States under the Articles of Confederation (pre-Constitution) from 1781 to 1789.

Joel Maser was a cousin but perhaps distant. He was an Aardvark (Amethyst). Chuck’s name was Chuck Laser. You can see a laser but not a maser. Maser’s are out of sight — distant, perhaps.

Chuck picks 2130 as an address. Anagram of meaningless numbers — just the first 4 numbers. He uses these 4 numbers over again. Doesn’t want to identify himself with any particular slice of history, good or bad. Not the holocast (1942 — Final Solution) nor the discovery of America, another anagram (1492). No, he chooses 2130 for the neutrality. And thus he perhaps chooses the *location* 2130 for the same. It is in Frank Park but yet it isn’t. Chuck’s house lies on Gun Stream, perhaps Gunn Stream. Smaller than a cannon. It also becomes known, perhaps as the Zap Gunn Stream, because of the presence of The Zappers.

Perhaps more clues will thus be found in Philip Dick’s book “The Zap Gun”.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Zap_Gun

The hieroglyphs on the rock outside the house probably tell the story of The Confederation or Zircon. The Confederation’s land tracks to The United States — Cotton is Texas, for example, Olive is Oklahoma and Tin is the OK panhandle. This transfers directly to GNIRPS and Missouri (LINK). Skillet is the pan and also the pan’s handle — Panhandle. I suppose it would also be the Texas Panhandle.

Also related: Gunn, MS/VA. Simpsons related in both cases, specifically “Who Shot Mr. Burns? (Parts 1 and 2)”.

Olive = Oklahoma and Tin = OK Panhandle may be the center but it also spreads out. Eob = Illinois and Monkey City is Chicago if so. Bridee is Michigan or perhaps centered around the 2 St. Joseph rivers whose source lies close to each other. In hyperspace/time these rivers become St. Johns with sources joined. Michigan becomes the St. John’s severed head. Gurr is Indiana or Ohio — both. Antville is Columbus (Cleveland + Cinncinnati?). Then the whole east coast is more ill defined but covered by Middle Gurr with its Scarlet and Uranium states. Sprurel (Spring Squirrel) is New Orleans, perhaps, or the Fla. panhandle extended west to N.O. Vinee is kind of Tennesse. Wurme is kind of Kentucky and Missouri together. Bean is Missouri. Kob is kind of Indiana again. So what is the center? It appears to be Monkey City = Chicago or else Bridgee = St. Johns’ Rivers united. And a second center is Tin-Olive = Oklahoma, with Tin City = the panhandle as a whole. Tinsity is now an important center of Frank/Herman Park mythology as of several years ago. Named for Tin S. Man of Oz fame, but an alternate or variant Tinman who instead works for Alma, not Ozma. Alma is Ozma’s cousin, perhaps distant (like Maser to Laser — see 1st of this post).

2130: What plans were made within? Who is remaking and repairing the 4th Way even as I write these recent posts on the subject?

Is 2130 the headquarters of GNIRPS?

“Contraption” 03

“The last directly Whitehead Crossing related collage presently is “Jasper 04 Revisited.”

collage68base03

Hucka D.:

Here we have a rock from a neighboring valley — the blog friendly NORRIS, the stream I was briefly married to several years back — placed in the center of Whitehead Crossing. It has a cross, or an “x” if you wish on it. This “x” was not present during my marriage but added later. Is it to mark the rock as a tombstone? Or is it to define it as a symbol of Christianity, perhaps by a follower of that religion? I think the former now.

bb:

I believe I do too, Hucka D.

Hucka D.:

So it’s perched on Orange Hill. This is the Jasper 04 Collage referred to in the title. Most of its elements return in the new work.

bb:

But, as I’m looking at it, everything is turned around in the new collage. Facing left instead of right and visa versa. Everything.

Hucka D.:

Baker and dog — dingo — are perched atop a high rock in both. The rock, again, in Jasper 04 Revisited is the one from Norris. Pull up a pic.

https://bakerbloch.wordpress.com/2013/04/05/whitehead-x-ing-04-norris/

https://bakerbloch.wordpress.com/2013/04/05/whitehead-x-ing-04-norris/img_0089smaller/

*Is* it a tombstone?

bb:

I don’t think so.

Hucka D.:

You sure?

bb:

Not totally sure, no. It *is* in the ground firmly, that’s for sure.

Hucka D.:

But at any rate, this is the crossroads, or marks the crossroads. “X” marks the spot, and so forth and so on, etc.

bb:

Guitar weilding Mouse is now playing in the middle of Whitehead Stream, Hucka D. Playing the the Von Trapp children that may represent rocks or perhaps white-ish rocks within the stream. Mouse himself may be an island in the stream. In fact, all of them are *on* an [ unnamed] island just below Orange Hill. Orange Hill is the cliff above them, with the Norris rock added to the top now to make it more similar in height or at least picture-wise to the rock cliff of Jasper 04. The island, then, becomes important. *Is* it Mouse Island?

Hucka D.:

A [definite] possibility. Good.

bb:

About the only thing that doesn’t reappear from Jasper 04 in the new work is the Gill’s Pier sign, Hucka. That’s Gill’s Pier, Michigan, where in 2052, according to the legend, Pierre will reappear and all carrcasses will be freed of their restrictive chains.

Hucka D.:

A great event it will be. Get prepared[ even now].

bb:

Mouse will be free to play guitar to the Sound of Music children. He can teach them the ABC’s of Do Re Mi.

Hucka D.:

The fox is opposite the dingo. This is death opposed to life. Valley to peak. Bottom to top. The dingo with its diamond tail is perched atop the cliff, like the diamond was pivoted atop a hemlock tree in the former collage just examined.

bb:

Way back in 2009 we examined Jasper 04, Hucka.

“Promised Land”

I remember the triangle. The Triangle. There’s not really the same kind of equal triangle in the repurposed work.

Hucka D.:

Nah.

bb;

But all the pictorial elements return, however.

Hucka D.:

Yeah. Better end.

bb:

Thank you.

Extensions 01

The Diagonal seems to be predicted in the Jasper 07 collage from 2009 (“It’s up to us now”), presently hanging in Southside’s Gallery Jack.

Snapshot1183_001

Compare its central long, keyhole shaped image (tiles from the side of a Michigan building) with here:

https://bakerbloch.wordpress.com/2013/08/19/the-14-triplet-points-of-the-diagonal/

16x16grid09

Even the foreground tile of the picture is adorned with a “D” (the logo of the Detroit Tigers, seen on all subsequent tiles as well extending into the background), just as the first sim on The Diagonal is Dierle, and associated with the letter “D” in the above grid diagram and also in the the microcosmic replica of The Diagonal in Westside’s Church of The Diagonal (below pic; far left letter).

https://bakerbloch.wordpress.com/2013/08/02/vwx-town-stuff-02/

Snapshot1089_009

In looking further at Jasper 07, there’s no real doubt in my mind that this *is* a representation of the future, extended version of The Diagonal. Jasper 07 partially concerns — consciously, that is — the early version of The Diagonal, known only in its “Rubi exclusive” state then. See here for an interpretive post concerning Jasper 07, also from 2009.* And see here, once more, for my 2008 series about the Rubi aspect of The Diagonal if you wish.

—–

We switch subjects to VWX Town’s ties to the actual (*non*-virtual) Whitehead Crossing, or “WX” without the “V”, as it were. I see the link now mainly made through the big grey seal perched on a segment of the Power Tower Gowlery, an obvious and also conscious representation of WX’s pivotal Grey Seal (Grey Rock + Seal Stone). The stream below the virtual grey seal may also stand for WX’s Whitehead Brook, Little Whitehead, and No Name Spring one and all, as the Grey Seal rock formation lies relatively close to each.

Snapshot1169_003

Admittedly, there’s a tension between just giving up the virtual version of Whitehead Crossing — which actually has little to do with the real version except for the connections listed just above — and keeping it into October and perhaps beyond. On the one hand, I’m obviously going to be focusing more on the outdoors and Frank and Herman Parks for the next several months, taking time and energy away from Second Life. On the other hand, we have the growing story of The Diagonal, an exterior energy source for VWX Town that ties it to the whole continent of Heterocera and beyond. I’ll just have to play the two directions against each other for a while longer and see what happens. At any rate I’m certainly pleased about progress made on an interpretation of The Diagonal so far. It may even outstrip Jeogeot mysticism (Big E/Schwa, etc.) in the long run. And to close, I’d like to thank my virtual neighbor Veyot for testing out aspects of The Diagonal and calling it a very interesting theory. 🙂

* In the post, I say of this collage and central image the following:

The overall shape of the orange tiled surface, in combination with the circular shape containing the keyhole at the top of the collage, is also keyhole shaped, Hucka D. The shape runs from the very top to the very bottom of the collage. This collage also happens to be 1024 pixels wide and 682 pixels high, making a relationship of 3:2 between the sides. 1024 is the size of the parcel I just rented in Klein, Hucka D [made up, as well, originally of 2 side-by-side 512 parcels]. The middle of the orange tile lies about 512 pixels from either side as well; exact center of the collage left-to-right, then…. This despite the fact that the overall shape of Jasper 07 is not based on any found photo this time, Hucka D. It is instead *tiled* from an edited picture of a toy, found in a search for Rookwood+tiles…
