Corsican Collagesity 04

And so we end at the Hills of Bill again in the center of Maebaeleia, where an agreement between the World of Lemon and Lime World was forged, thanks to Yoko Ona in large part. She is a witch, true. But, we hope, a white one, working for the forces of good instead of evil. That is really our only hope moving forward. Because if not — we’re *all* screwed.

—–

“The agreement, dear *Lindens*,” she speaks in the yard before the legendary trailer, is that John and I will move forward into a new continent and create a new religion called *Peakology*, beyond the Sinkology that has dominated Our Second Lyfe so far. The first 3 true peaks are the Hills of Bill here: Turtle, Sifton, and then right here, at the highest, the namesake Bill Hill. We go within to sign the contract, to seal the deal. The continent of *Corsica* is born from *Maebaleia*.

“Okay,” Phillip utters.

—–

“Phillip, are you paying attention?”

“I’m paying attention.” He stops attempting to see the shortest of the three Hills of Bill, Turtle Hill (or Butte), from this higher vantage point. About 2 sims east it should be, he estimates correctly. But the blinds block his vision. He is blinded in that direction. But he could have *swore* the agreement was suppose to be signed there, in that more centrally placed position on the continent recently devastated by the 3 1/2 day North-South Civil War. He and Flat Ebbe and Flat Rodvik, Lindens all, are here to put a stop to all that. They were willing to admit failures in the past that caused all the conflict and division. But why the switch of location? It seemed meaningful. He couldn’t get it out of his big fat head. Options, he kept thinking. Options are important.

In truth, everything was still secretly revolving around The Room, even though no one present understood that.

—–

Phillip just blurted it out as Yoko Ona was penciling in some final corrections on the contract at the dining room table. “Why *not* Turtle Hill — or Butte?”

“This is the *highest* of the hills, the *namesake*. We talked about this in the phone call from this morning. You sure you guys don’t want to sit down?”

“They’re fine,” Phillip answers for both once more. “The Flats are only here as witnesses.” In case something goes wrong he says to himself, hoping for the best (again).

She slides the amended paper across to him. He moves his elbows closer to the blue table to study. He’s read it all before, but just wanted to note the changes Yoko Ona mentioned in the call. “Bill Hill,” she insisted in it. “Turtle Hill (or Butte) is *in* the Hills of Bill but not Bill Hill itself. It should be signed there.”

“But Turtle is more central,” he began the counterargument, which continues.

He imagines staring down at a giant lime instead of a contract. Where has he seen this before?

Blue Feather, White Tower

An unparalleled period of expansion has arrived for Collagesity, given all the extra prims we have now (1.5 times the former amount!!). 1st comes an upgrade for the Blue Feather club, giving it several extra, large rooms and platforms. Baker Blinker and Karoz can now stay in the Blue Feather along with Wheeler — more on that soon.

Then this morning I’m playing around with adding the White Tower to the eastern part of town, but in a different place than when I experimented with the idea before there.

Much excitement to come. There will be only so much I can do on the ground. Then we’ll have to move to the sky for more fun and development!

“What do you think, Jim?” asks Baker Bloch.

“Yes, there’ll be that.”

10/17/16 Notes 01

Collagesity now has at least 24 separate structures, with only one obviously filler (1 prim Lafayette Grocery and Dairy on the north side). Character development will drive future structure development and visa versa.

Baker Bloch could be enscounced in the Norum Gallery attic once more. He takes in his nice view.

Karoz still rents his upstairs apt. above the Bodega market. At first he complained about having to access it through the new SoSo Mall, but now he’s okay with the idea. Baker Blinker is still down at Gloomy Gus. I decided that Baker Bloch and Baker Blinker should chat inworld.

snapshot8287_010

“Blinks, how’s it going. Do you have some time tonight to meet me somewhere and talk?”

snapshot8288_007

“Well, I’m pretty busy with my World of Lemon journal, but what the heck. If that’s what our user wants I suppose I have to comply.”

“You don’t have to,” Baker Bloch responds. “I believe baker b. wants us to become more independent of him. That’s what Karoz says. What’s he told you?”

“You mean Karoz or baker b.?” She shares a small smile with Baker Bloch, then continues more seriously. “Yes, Karoz has changed. We all have. Well…”

“Not me,” Baker Bloch finishes for her.

“No, but that’s good. You are a stable point. Hucka Doobie in a smaller way. But we’ve all changed in our own ways. You — not as much your looks as just in building the town and keeping it clean and tidy. You are the custodian. And doing a wonderful job.”

“Thanks. I am baker b. more than all others.”

“Kind of,” Baker Blinker responds.

“Let’s meet at Rhoda’s. Is that okay? — it’s about halfway between us.”

“Alright,” Baker Blinker replies. “See you in just a minute.”

—–

On the way over, Baker Blinker then senses someone in the woods.

snapshot8288_008

She checks remotely using the inworld map as a guide. No avatar there. “Ghosts,” she mutters.

She changes her face to the one Baker Bloch is most familiar with. She doesn’t want him to feel more out of place or uncomfortable than he already is.

She also removes her right left earring. She’s married now! she remembers. Good ol’ Karoz. Always trying so hard, always plugg’n away at this and that idea. TILE is next, she understands. But she kind of has her own religion now. The two will clash, she realizes. Are clashing.

snapshot8288_012

She gets the heck out of haunted Rubi.

snapshot8288_013

“Good morning, Jim. Nice day. Well, it’s always a nice day on *this* side of town.” Jim doesn’t respond. Baker Blinker wonders the same thing that Baker Bloch did earlier. Why some flatties alive? she thinks. Why some not? And then one condition can change into another. Like Furry Karl. Good ol’ Furry Karl. Back fully animated and alive now. He’s a stable point too.

snapshot8288_014

Now beside the Orange Bar, Baker Blinker sees Baker Bloch approaching from the other direction on Old Cannon Road. “After you fine lady,” he says to her.

Plane Clash? 01

Baker Bloch is starting to think about the flatties again. How they live. How they interact and work and play together. Ones like [Jim or] Flat Ebbe Linden have specific roles: in this case, to guard the main western entrance into town and take stock of everyone that passes by him. Strangely he could be a moral policeman of sorts. Who put him in this position of power? Was it Karoz? He’s manned this western “greeting” station for a while.

snapshot8280_001

snapshot8280_021

I need to get to know the whole flattie culture better. Who was with [flattie] Furry Karl over at his thought-to-be abandoned Rubi bar the other night? It appears that this group, whoever they are composed of, meet on a regular basis.

snapshot8280_004

In other Collagesity news, a new, colorful tower has sprung up on the eastern side of town. It is a remake of this past December’s Shiny Hare tower LINK, but, akin with that earlier version, probably won’t stick around long. Baker Bloch also played around with inserting the Kidd Tower in the middle of town, its front door connected directly to the back door of Starbuccaneers. This concept was also scuttled. Collagesity is pretty perfect as is groundside, Baker Bloch thinks. The way to develop is through the town characters, not as much buildings.

snapshot8280_005

We should note one more new building, however, a shell of one still but seemingly a more permanent sort. Will this become a rival coffee shop for nearby Starbuccaneers? Or perhaps it will evolve into a small gallery. Is *this* where the Bogota collages takes root?

snapshot8280_022

And what of Karoz’s Norum College? Can it be developed as well now? Baker Bloch attempts to converse with flatties Space Ghost and Cardboard Derek Jones on the lower floor but finds them in a non-animated state. Why are some flatties “alive” and some “away”.

snapshot8280_012

What activates them (like Furry Karl and Rhoda were recently reactivated from a “dead’ state — brought back to life, in essence)? You don’t have that problem with the 3d-ers, as Karl terms them. The avatars like himself, Baker Blinker, Hucka Doobie, Karoz Blogger, and so on and so forth. But, then again, what of the 3d-ers that are not avatars, like Starbuccaneer, who also spring to life at times? What of the strange, recent merger of Starbuccaneer with the ballerina statue and also, it seems, Rhoda the flattie bartender? 3-n-1, as townspeople refer to them. Is the amalgamation truly alive or dead or both? What’s going on?

An answer may appear in Norum College’s famed backroom, where Baker Bloch died of a heart attack in (Noru-style) Collagesity over 2 years ago now. He almost immediately came back to life in the nearby House of True Lies, but the room remains haunted, perhaps similiar to Room 237 of Kubrick’s Shining film. What’s in there? 2130?

The door stands ajar for Baker Bloch, but he backs away in understandable fear.

snapshot8280_016

Is the oh-so-green Karoz behind this as well? The “Behind Room”?

Collagesity: Central Paradox (etc.)

Below is a collision of 2 buildings in the heart of Collagesity that can’t possibly exist together. One must be off, one must be on. Right now the box-like Gallery Jack, holding 60 of the 100 collages of the Art 10×10, is “on”. In the recent past, it was browner and more irregular Toxic Art Gallery holding 80 of the 100 collages of same here. Will the situation switch back in the near future? This is my paradox: the central dichotomy, structure-wise, of Collagesity all is built around, as I’m perceiving it now.
