The Way

(joined in progress)

Karoz Blogger:

It’s complicated.

Carr.:

Tell me what you know about it, then.

Karoz:

I know that I don’t hate Wheeler any more.

[delete 1 line]

Karoz:

Of course. Baker is my soulmate.

Carr.:

But you know now Wheeler holds the keys to TILE.

Karoz:

I think so. That’s why I was having such a hard time restarting the religion, the college. I had to get through the Assimilation.

Carr.:

Which backfired.

Karoz:

I wouldn’t say that. I’d said that it turned into something very different than expected.

Carr.:

What did you expect? That Wheeler would go away?

Karoz:

Yes. Of course. *You* wanted her to go away.

Carr.:

Yes.

Karoz:

But instead *she* kind of [does the assimilating instead]. Roles reversed.

Carr.:

I’m still not sure what you expected.

Karoz:

She sits at the top of the triangle. Leading the way.

Carr. (correcting?):

Middletown.

World, The

“No, she just prefers Nautilus to here. Nautilus is her, eh, *natural* environment. That’s why she wanted to move Collagesity. Nothing against Heterocera or Rubi or The Woods.”

“That’s reassuring,” confessed Baker Bloch. “She is a dancer.”

“She is *The World,*” John Lockfry 02 reassured him. “She [through Nautilus] is the endpoint of the alchemical process, the philosopher’s stone. Red Violin and Golden Sphere. What is World reversed, then? Well, it is here. Collagesity. That’s what Karoz was talking about.”

“What’s the correct choice going forward?”

“Associate her directly with Nautilus moving forward. BoB, but all of Nautilus really. It’s World of Lemon moving forward. Boxed and ready for motion.”

But what of TILE, I ask?

Middletown, Early October

Saturday trip to Middletown. Great time! This seeming manifestation of TILE in a window display got my camera clicking. The colors are reversed, but the direct association is there. Instead of the correct yellow “I”, you have a blue one. Instead of the right color of blue for the “E”, you have yellow. Then instead of a red “L” you have a green one here. All that’s missing letter-wise is the “T”, which would logically be [the reversed] red in this scenario.

img_3176smaller

In this picture is depicted a Middletown collagist briefly alluded to here. I believe we have taken separate paths in this discipline. Her back is literally and figuratively turned to me, I feel, even though upon meeting we were face to face. My route is focused upon the educational more than the commercial. Both paths have advantages. I would suppose hard core collagists are very insecure people. I should know.

I would like to mention here another collagist whose work I just ran across yesterday. MK Ultrasound may be more similar to myself, even though he also sells his works. That’s because he additionally creates audiovisual collages, like I do (MessiaenSphere, Messiaen Trek, etc.). These are, by their very nature, non-profitable. Here’s a link to some of his work: http://www.mkultrasound723.com/art. Hmm, wonder if *he* would like the exhibit his art in Collagesity? Interesting. But I’d have to get to know him and his portfolio and artistic philosophy better.

One of my arch enemies, and blown up to large size to emphasize the dislike. This is what nightmares are made of.

img_3186smaller

A rare picture of the real me. Can you see?

img_3214smaller

Middletown was quite far down into the rabbit hole this day of parading and protesting and such. But what energy! I was soaking it up apparently.

img_3227smaller

Hillary…

img_3239smaller

… and Donald.

img_3240smaller

This is a more interesting story. Just two shops down from the one with the TILE display discussed above, I found this man posing next to the Judgement card from the Rider-Waite tarot deck. This happens to be the Major Arcana card coming direction before The World, the final one. I asked him about the card, mentioning I was just writing about The World the night before (and I also discuss *TILE* in the same paragraph!). He told me it was to indicate when your food was ready. I asked if The World happened to be on the flip side?

img_3260smaller

It wasn’t, but I found it quickly enough inside.

img_3259smaller

One of the queer things about this exchange is that the man’s wife or partner was also taking pictures of him with the card at the same time. Here *she* is at work.

img_3263smaller

Middletown has energy. Door to reality.

Creativity Review

SEE SUNKLANDS HEADERS:

About:

The Sunklands site plugs along! I am very fortunate to have such a creative center. I plan to retain it into the foreseeable future. No problems here.

Blog:

This will always go hand in hand with the Sunklands web site now. I’ve been blogg’n for 8 1/2 years. I love it. One of the problems for someone looking in is the multitude of subject matter. There’s woodsy reality, there’s viritual living, there’s fiction… lots of stuff. But add it all together and you get artsy me.

Collages:

Bread and butter stuff, again. I’ll keep collaging till the day I die most likely. The idea of series will keep evolving. I’ll most likely always accompany collage creation with attempts at interpretation. The last coupling of collage and analysis is through the Boos series from last fall, which I consider perhaps my most unified and fulfilling effort in this direction to date. A new series has yet to form beyond it, but I’ve been busy with other art.

The base series of my modern or mature collages remains the 20 part Greenup set from 2004. Seems like a really long time ago now. Before that I more sporatically worked with the old time method (to me) of cutting images out of magazines and pasting them together. But I probably won’t work in that way again. Digital collage is more my style. I’m not worried about the selling aspect, and create them only for the purpose of pushing the boundaries of the genre itself in a certain direction. They are “educational” in my eyes, although I’m not against selling *specific* examples in the future (just not whole series, perhaps).

Synchs:

The progression of synchs started in 1997 with the first steps toward the idea of a Rainbow Complex beyond just the “mere” Dark Side of the Rainbow, a gateway synch for certain. To me, it was the birth of rainbowology, which I haven’t really written about all that much yet. Oh, there’s been some pretend interviews with the likes of Booker T. and Pierre Schaeffer (actually alts), but I’ve chosen to keep certain key elements hidden until I figure out what to do with the concept as a whole.

But that’s just the start. Synchs continue to this day, though creation has slowed recently to about once a year. I may even be at a longer pause currently. I’ll have to talk to Hucka D. about this soon.

baker b. separated from alt Pierre Schaeffer in 2004 with the creation of the former’s Greenup series. At roughly the same time came the latter’s Billfork, Head Trip, and 4orrin1. 4orrin1 especially blew the lid off what I formerly thought an audiovisual synch could be. It remains blown.

Hybrids:

Latest in this category is the blandly named (on purpose) “Collagesity Winter 2015-2016” fiction — it’s actually what you could call a graphic novel set in Second Life (and its “moon” and also the *moon* of *that* moon). A next project could involve interpreting this fairly large work, like I do with my collage series. It falls in line with other fiction I’ve developed in spots down through time, the first successful one being perhaps “The High Octave Story” from way back in 1986 or so (rewritten in the early 90s, if I recall). Then along the same lines we have “Jordan’s Rule” from c2001, and then also the larger “Paradox II: The Chancelling” that came along late 2005/early 2006. I need to finish that off… technically it could probably be called a hybrid work as well.

Looking at other hybrids on this page, “Map Synching Feeling” is an interesting experiment with map oddities; “6 Weeks of Shining” combines collage work, map research, and elements of audiovisual synching, tied together through Stanley Kubrick’s film “The Shining”; “Baker Bloch in England” represents a fusion of collage, fiction and virtual reality a bit in the style of “Collagesity Winter 2015-2016” (except set in “reality”/ i.e., England); 2009’s “Where are We on That?” is a good introduction to my original set of virtual characters, most of whom are still around (Baker Bloch, Baker Blinker, Hucka Doobie, etc.). Hybrids will keep being produced.

Virtual:

I continue to hold onto Collagesity, and certainly work on keeping it up paid off more recently with its use in “Collagesity Winter 2015-2016” mentioned before. But has it fulfilled its usefulness? One thing it’s certainly not is a proper archives for the collages (and synchs). The Sunklands site, established last summer, instead has become this… but I would like to keep a virtual town going along with the site, if possible. Second Life’s Collagesity remains a comparatively inexpensive satisfaction, I suppose, in this direction, but my guess is that in the future a virtual town will not cost as much, relatively speaking, and can be rolled into web site payments.

Reality:

Another recent success story with the unfolding of the many Bigfoot dimensions. Polarity between Bigfoot Proper and Chesterton is involved, the two identified artsy centerpieces of the complex. Each has now been the site of a fulfilled marble race and connected toy/junk happening. Whitehead Crossing represents the other important woodsy center still, and lies on protected ground (Frank Park) in contrast to Bigfoot, which could go away with the snap of a finger. But toy/junk happenings may not ever really come to Whitehead Crossing, unlike what I thought before — up until maybe even this past winter. Bigfoot has taken over in this direction. Bigfoot may be temporary, but my attachment to Blue Mountain in general also is temporary now, as we plan to move to Middletown in 6-8 years. We have land there, we can set up a modular home with little maintenance for our old age, and Middletown is such a neat city with many creative plugins. I can’t imagine leaving Blue Mtn. for anywhere else in the U.S. of A., although *England* remains a possible final destination. But that’s a long story.

Back to toy/junk happenings. These will certainly continue beyond Blue Mtn. and into our Middletown existence. I’m just refining the process now; winging it as they say. And Bigfoot itself may continue into the future. I have the option to camp there even when living in Middletown, since we’ll be retired. And Whitehead Crossing, too, probably has long term value, if in a more abstract way and connected to local Frank and Herman Parks as a whole. But I don’t think I want to camp in Frank and Herman Parks. Too many aliens.

More Circles

Although what I’m calling the Middletown Circle is still the main one of its type, I’ve created others in the area recently, like the nested circles below surrounding Future Home and including First/Prime. For now I’ll just let the pictures tell the story, except to say that the curves of the Greenway provide the beginning point…

middletown03b

… as it does for these 3 just south…

middletown04

… and also these 2 just south of the above, with the upper one surrounding and including dreamy Hemp Hill LINK. There are no exact relationships I can identify between any of these circles. All are different sizes, for instance, except in one case.

middletown05

Then returning to the area of the Middletown Circle, I’ve created another circle fairly close to it which contains the natural area I’ve termed Goth Hill in this blog before, which may earn its own subcategory sometime. Right now I’m lumping all things Middletown just under a general heading.

middletown06b

Going back to the concentric circles of the first picture, we can include this now… Bill Mtn., if you recall, is a place of contact in Blue Mountain. Is Middletown’s Bill Mtn. placemarked above the same? Time will tell. Time will tell.

Ash(e)ville…

Asheville (3):

asheville01

Because of its variant name of Ash(e)ville, Ashville PA may be most connected to Ash(e)ville NC, as discussed here a bit:

the 2nd Ashville, and another Apocalypse Now connection?

My Ash(e)ville may earn the nickname of Little Chicago through this. It has a very large downtown for a city its size. And then for other reasons I change its name to Middletown later on. Chicago is in the middle of the US, in the Great Lakes region.

Let’s turn to Ashville, then, and the kindred to Ashville PA in a more direct, surface way:

ashville01

Along with Ashfield PA, Canoncet RI is the only listed variant of Ashville, and the only one not containing the root word “Ash”. It is located in a county (Washington) already mentioned in the blog here in connection with triple state names:

map happenings 03

Carolina and Wyoming are also both in Washington County in Rhode Island, and so both make types of triple state name as well (Carolina, Washington, Rhode Island and Wyoming, Washington, Rhode Island). Largest “Ashville”, by far (Ash(e)ville/Middletown), is located in (North) Carolina.

Wyoming in Iowa County in Wisconsin state probably makes up the most profound or central triple state name of this kind, and may additionally highlight Wyoming RI here.

It brings to mind this: Are there any towns in counties and states of the *same* name (as opposed to all different names). This would be a triple state redundancy, then, and the opposite of all three having different names.

The only two that come close involve large cities:

1) *Part* of New York City (basically Manhattan) lies in New York county in New York state.
2) *Most* of Oklahoma City lies in Oklahoma county in the state of Oklahoma.

—–

Returning to Ashville OH, we can perhaps extend our range through understanding that a city named Circleville is the county seat and largest burg of inclusive Pickaway County.

pickaway_county_ohio
Ashville and Circleville in Pickaway County, Ohio

Circleville, true to its name, was originally designed as a circle. Story here:

http://pickaway.com/history.html

originalphoto

Circleville was unique among early American towns, built to conform to a circular prehistoric earthworks. When Pickaway County was formed in 1810 there were no existing settlements that seemed suitable for a county seat. Therefore, a new town was laid out within the ancient’s “circle” on the high bank east of the Scioto River. It’s streets radiated from an octagonal courthouse in the center of the circle.

Two communities existed near Circleville prior to its being laid out as the county seat. Jefferson and Livingston ceased to exist several years after Circleville was designated the seat of government in 1811. When the Ohio Canal reached Circleville, the shape of the town within the circle proved to be a hindrance, and in 1838 a group of enterprising businessmen began to “square the circle”. Over the next 20 years the job was accomplished and all traces of the ancient earthworks disappeared.

Circleville2

The concept of “squaring the circle” spoken about in the above excerpt has also come up recently in this blog in connection to the Moon of the Moon, except there the process was reversed: Jack and Lily *circled* (or “sphered”) the square (or “cube”) that was the Moon of the Moon by creating a world ocean and introducing omni-directional gravity.

And in a more limited way I’ve done a similar thing with Ash(e)ville/Middletown through what I call the Middletown Circle, introduced on this blog back in Winter 2014/2015. This is also the point where I decided to rename Ash(e)ville as Middletown, invoking what appears to be an older matrix.

First/Prime Again

My photos didn’t come out as well this weekend because of the intense sun, but I wasn’t complaining much(!) Another beautiful day in Middletown, with highs in the upper 70s as I recall. All of these except the final pic come from First/Prime again, like a more interesting pebble beach in Secondary’s orange Prime Stream…

IMG_1565smaller

… a nearby orange bottle in same…

IMG_1567smaller

… bricks in same — this is a natural fording place in the stream again LINK…

IMG_1568smaller

… and then the intense orange seepage of Violet into Prime, once more. Compare with here. LINK

IMG_1571smaller

We move now to the very center of First/Prime on the main path running through it. Someone has obviously gathered these sticks together, perhaps for the purpose of creating or reinforcing a bridge over Prime in this location.

IMG_1573smaller

Downstream, we come into relative wilderness again. This is an interesting photo because of the creek stone on the lower right, which contains a mysterious, central hole. Notice also the rock colored bottle, as if it is trying to fit or blend in with its differently constituted neighbors.

IMG_1585smaller

A line of somewhat darker rocks in the same general region. I’m not sure if these were lined up by human hands or not…

IMG_1587smaller

Nearby driftwood piece in the stream.

IMG_1588smaller

We’ve now moved just a little further downstream where Prime Stream (left) meets up with First Creek (top). Notice that First Creek appears to be the larger of the two at this juncture. Together they continue onward as perhaps First/Prime Creek/Stream, despite the name awkwardness. We’ll see…

IMG_1589smaller

An open meadow is found across from the juncture, which up until a year or two ago, contained a small house. A family named Hart may have lived in this house for a short time. I’ll attempt to get more clarification on that soon.

IMG_1593smaller

One of two mysterious, brick composed pits found near the Greenway on the southern edge of First/Prime. Since rungs appear on the side of each, apparently for descending purposes, we can assume these were originally much deeper. Did the two entrances, about maybe 50 feet apart, even connect to each other at one time?

IMG_1599smaller

A nearby First/Prime gully with large, spanning tree trunk.

IMG_1603smaller

Forest Falls, which is *not* a part of First/Prime but still represents a local phenomenon — about 7 miles ne of Future House in this case.

IMG_1606smaller

Conclusion for now: First/Prime is just small enough to fly under the radar of hiker/biker attention but large enough to create a super interesting microcosm for present and future consideration.

Do you really want to know? You’re telling yourself here.

Not really.

Hucka D.:

Good. But this is *symbolically* it. This is where *it* will happen. When you do that the whole area will be energized. It will be forever. Prepare. That is where you will lay down.

bb:

I am Taum Sauk.

Hucka D.:

You are all toy avatars. You are the King. Joined with the Queen. Planted. In the ground. By an agriculturalist. Tyle from TILE. Tyle is down to earth. Ground. TILE is too up in the air. You will return. It will end.
