Cubert J. Farnsworth is a clone of Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth, and is often referred to as his son.
He is heir to Planet Express and the Professor’s fortune, being, along with the Professor’s parents, one of the Professor’s closest living relatives. He spends most of his time with the Planet Express crew criticising everything and routinely pointing out logical fallacies.

Interesting that I created clones named Hubert, Howard and Hector well before Futurama. They appear, for instance, in the short story “Merging Tracks” that will be included in the collection called “Bark” coming up (stay tuned!). They sometimes appear as the colors red, green and blue.

4/23/15 update:
I’ve essentially made the decision that Futurama will not be used in a *future* audiovisual synch (carrcass). Never say never in that field however. I gave up on Black Hole The Movie for a long time before employing it. Still, Futurama may be useful in synchs outside the a/v ones — like this 2989 connection.
