First/Prime 01

I returned to the First/Prime stream area this past beautiful sunny March Saturday. I found out more. Below we have where the First/Prime path crosses Greenway, and right on the Bentmore-Future Home line as mentioned previously LINK. A set of rocks mark the path on either side of Greenway.

IMG_1409smaller

Many more rocks dot the area, including a more interesting one pictured below. Probably soon enough I’ll have names or at least exact locations on a map for all the prominent rocks of First/Prime.

IMG_1423smaller

There are or were obviously squatters in the region. This is the second (and larger) former (?) campsite I found along or near Greenway. The homeless population of Middletown is a large problem, not the least for me and my woods prying ways. I seem to know *exactly* where their camps are. I *think* like the homeless; are in sync with them in terms of hunting for places in the woods and wilderness. I might just have to make friends with some of them. I’m also thinking that graffiti artists are camping in the area at times. Might run into them some too. Will have to deal with that as well.

IMG_1428smaller

I will reinforce: the place of this campsite is a *point of power* in the region. The camp seems abandoned. Do I create a cleanup? Does this represent legitimate “junk” that I can make an art happening with? These are the questions I am facing. I have to make new happening rules to conform with different Middletown energies.

IMG_1429smaller

Greenway intersection of another (higher elevation) path running into First/Prime.

IMG_1433smaller

Interesting ravines and old roads are multiple.

IMG_1435smaller

Other objects dot the area.

IMG_1437smaller

Below is what appears to be a more swampy source of Prime Stream, beyond Grassy (road) and what I had explored several days before. Much ivy is in the area, but not, at least presently, the poison variety. Ivy ivy, the good kind.

IMG_1439smaller

This is Grassy where Prime Stream passes under it to snake toward the intersection with First Stream about a 1/4th of a mile beyond.

Website Changes

The third and final part of the Boos collage series interpretation now has its own web page. You can find it on the “Collages” page via a linked (red) button:

Collages

Direct link:

Boos 21-30 Interpretation

Also I’ve decided to gather together all the fiction that I’ve been writing for almost the past 3 months solid concerning Collagesity into its own page. Turns out that I divided the fiction — really one long story — into 16 parts. The parent page in this case is “Hybrids”, at least for now until I decide a better place for it:

https://bakerbloch.com/hybrids/

Direct link:

https://bakerbloch.com/hybrids/collagesity-winter-2015-2016/

I also believe I’m going to try to analyze this fiction more, and the 16 part parceling was a necessary step in that direction. Stay tuned!

But for now I must continue to focus on Middletown, Blue Mountain and hiking. I plan to visit Middletown again this Saturday…

Greenway

Bentmore-Future Home line passes directly over Greenway here where it intersects path leading to Prime/First Stream area via Grassy. In this location, Grassy and Greenway act like concentric circles. Future Home = center?

http://aqua-teen-hunger-force.wikia.com/wiki/The_Plutonians

AquaTeen_vol2_plutonians

The Plutonians are two jagged-shaped aliens from the planet Pluto or beyond Pluto.
Contents[show]
CharactersEdit

Oglethorpe (voice of Andy Merrill), the leader, is the obese, orange-colored one who usually comes up with their “plans” for World Domination. Emory (voice of Mike Schatz), his tall green sidekick, who was explained to be partners since college, hooked up by a computer, is the tag-along of Oglethorpe, and usually the one to know when things have gone sour. In “The Last One,” Oglethorpe mentions that he went to high school with Ignignokt, mentioning some kind of incident on the bus. Despite this, the Mooninites think that “Plutonians are teh suck”, which started Spacecataz. The Plutonians’ ship is also, incidentally, Uglor’s ship from Space Ghost Coast to Coast. They can be seen in Master Shake’s pinball machine in Eggball.

TriviaEdit

They are named after the two universities in Atlanta, where Williams Street created Adult Swim.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Oglethorpe

Mount Oglethorpe, the southernmost peak in the Blue Ridge Mountains,[2] is located in Pickens County, Georgia and was the southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail from when the trail was completed in 1937 until 1958. In 1958, as a result of over development around Mount Oglethorpe, the southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail was moved about 20 miles (32 km) to the northeast to Springer Mountain. Mount Oglethorpe is considered by some to be a more dramatic mountain than Springer Mountain, but the construction of a gravel logging road on the mountain and the development of a number of pungent chicken farms along the route, contributed to the move.

Until 1930, Mount Oglethorpe was called Grassy Knob, but the peak was renamed Mount Oglethorpe in honor of James Oglethorpe, the founder of Georgia.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pluto

Pluto was discovered by Clyde Tombaugh in 1930, and was originally considered the ninth planet from the Sun. After 1992, its status as a planet fell into question following the discovery of several objects of similar size in the Kuiper belt. In 2005, Eris, which is 27% more massive than Pluto, was discovered, which led the International Astronomical Union (IAU) to define the term “planet” formally for the first time the following year.[14] This definition excluded Pluto and reclassified it as a member of the new “dwarf planet” category.[15]

Bottom line: Both the (southern) terminus of the Appalachian Trail and our planetary Solar System were shortened by the exclusion of Mt. Oglethorpe and Pluto respectively.  Mt. Oglethorpe changed its named from Grassy in 1930. Pluto was discovered in 1930. (Aqua Teen Hunger Force’s) Oglethorpe is a Plutonian. He’s recently been seen in Collagesity starting here, and directly replacing a grassy colored Karoz at the bottom of Confluence Pool who may realize the same here (?).

Arab is a way to focus Grassy. Means “Foreign One” or perhaps “Alien”, like a Plutonian.

Blue Mtn.>Middletown (Again)

Development is occurring on the Middletown mythos again. This is the place we’ll most likely be spending our retirement time starting in 7-10 years. Probably more like 7, actually. I had several nice Middletown hikes both this past Saturday (morning) and then again on Monday.

IMG_1317smaller

1st set of shots come from locations along a railroad about 1 1/2 miles south of Future Home. I do not yet have a mythological name for this area, but it’s probably coming. Along the rr I found a more heavily graffitied wall, naturally picturesque.

This kind of sums up the life of a graffiti artist, don’t you think?

IMG_1318smaller

Thick green strokes for this unintelligible scrawl.

IMG_1323smaller

Hobo graffiti ghost? Teaching smaller ghosts about the ethereal art of spray painting?

IMG_1325smaller

I see a number of “B-TEAM’ and “MOMS” on the wall.

IMG_1327smaller

IMG_1329smaller

Another, lower wall along the rr. The creek running through here may be named Hemp, but not totally 100 percent sure of that yet.

IMG_1340smaller

Interesting underpass beneath Superhighway 30 which parallels the rr along this stretch.

IMG_1343smaller

Stairs just beyond. This is an official trail along the Greenway. I should back up here and say that Greenway, Superhighway 30 and the Nowhere River conjunct at this place. LINK

IMG_1344smaller

Underpass pipe with scrawl that’s suppose to be intelligible but still appears cryptic. Not graffiti, obviously, but sharing certain features.

—–

We now switch to a location considerably closer to Future Home, or what I’m calling First Stream or perhaps Prime Stream (Pream?). Actually there are two streams in the area that combine to form one stream at Upper Mossman Road. So maybe one is First and the other is Prime. So my thinking is that the closest to Future Home is First, and then the twin stream, more protected and hidden in the woods, is Prime.

The Greenway is also very close to First/Prime. A path connects latter to former, running by these more interesting and larger rocks.

IMG_1350smaller

Mysterious bridges span Prime and First at many places. I’ll certainly create a map asap.

IMG_1357smaller

There’s junk in the area. A considerable amount.

IMG_1362smaller

Head o’ Prime.

IMG_1367smaller

Another Prime bridge. Guarded by thorny bushes. Obviously not been used in a while.

IMG_1369smaller

Bricks in Prime.

Circle of green along Prime. Violet, green, orange actually. More on First/Prime soon!

Afterwards

Lily finds that old rowboat in her inventory and promptly rezzes it on the newborn ocean in front of *their* cottage. She tells Jack to hop in and starts to row for them, being the considerably stronger of the two and in better shape. “I promise in a month’s time we’ll be switching places,” he adds while plopping down in the boat’s passenger seat, rocking it forward. Destination: Jack’s work shed at the other pole, to see what needs to be moved to the cottage. And for another reason Lily and Jack aren’t telling their “children”.

Snapshot7185_001

Bendy, Prissy and visiting Tony Tiger see them off as they sail past Peter’s submerged grave. Seems like months ago that Peter used his own burial spot as a portal into the celestial sphere then *inside* the moon (as well as outside, of course) to merge with Dr. Mulholland at the Blue Feather cube. The world ocean became stable after that, not fluctuating in level and remaining translucent. But it was only 4 days ago. Time’s indeed a peculiar thing.

Halfway to their destination they also pass a waving Tilie and his new assistant Molly. “Don’t worry about us getting in your way,” the wise parrot says, knowing more of what’s going on than at least Bendy and Prissy. “And happy honeymoon!” she added. Both Jack and Lily blush slightly. “Take care, Molly,” says Jack in parting. “We’ll see you in a bit.” She and Tilie head away from the ocean bank to parts unknown.

They arrive at their destination. The new world sea ends here in this direction, filling up Big Crevice separating the work shed and Cardinal Tree, Molly’s former fixed place of residence.

Snapshot7186_002b

“She’s made sure no one bothers us here, you know,” Lily states as she gets out of the beached boat and stares toward the dead tree with its now empty limbs. “This is *our* spot presently, our private area.” Jack rubs his chin knowingly. “She’s a sharp bird indeed. She’ll help Tilie greatly in continuing to maintain our moon. Gravity’s omni-directional now. Much easier task than before. Molly may even have time to attend night school at Crabwoo University, since all that’s opened up again. That would be exciting for her.”

“Cool,” says Lily. “I’m sure she’ll do well.”

They enter the shed. “Do you think it will fit?” Jack queries.

Snapshot7185_002

“Well, we’ll obviously have to move your globe out of the way,” Lily responds. They both stare at the red pins marking the limits of what Jack could see of the celestial sphere from this pole. “And then your thinking chair and the books,” Lily says, as she continues to look around. “Everything, really, *including* the cat.” She and Jack turn toward it.

Snapshot7187_001

“I’m not having that thing stare down on us while we’re…”

“… completing our world?” Jack finishes.

“Exactly!” exclaims Lily, joyously leaping upon his back and seeing the whole ball of wax now.

Dr. Mulholland

The fake moon erased, the now whole Dr. Mulholland floated away toward the blue cube-world in the sky that had transformed somewhat in design. She was free! No more crippling transformations into that former husband of hers. All that was behind her now. Moon destroyed… chair and former lover destroyed. They were one and the same.

Snapshot7181_002

She saw what she knew was her *true* husband appear from behind the cube, about the same distance from it as herself. A new and better mirror. It was Jack and Lily’s Peter, freshly immersed into his own grave, and with his real face locked in now.

Snapshot7181_005

It wasn’t quite Peter Gabriel, which would especially be to Lily’s disappointment. But this particular version of Peter Soso would still do the trick.

Dr. Mulholland shouted at him from around the cube. “Peter?” She waited for an answer.

“Yes,” a weaker voice finally responded. “It’s me.”

“I’m going to move close to the Blue Feather now. Do you have the key?”

Peter had to think hard, but then remembered the answer. “Yes.”

“Okay, good. I can see your face clearly now. And what a lovely face, sweetie. You *do* know who I am?” Both were close enough to the cube now to almost reach out and touch it.

Snapshot7181_009

Peter looked at her face. Another whole set of memories tumbled into place. “Yes,” he answered again. “You are The Doctor.”

“We are each other,” Dr. Mulholland completed. They were upon it. “Go ahead and open the cube, my dearest. It’s time.”

“Time is a funny thing.” He placed the key into the Blue Feather.

Snapshot7182_004

“After you… my dearest.”

Karoz Blogger…

… awakens in the middle of the night to find a number of startling changes. To begin, he notices the “moon of the moon” is no longer revolving below his perch on the edge of fake moon. Turning around and walking inward, he next discovers the Collagesity diner had also been complete removed, along with the encircling railroad and attached vegetable garden. He wonders what happened to the crazily joined John Lockfry/Dr. Mulholland within, and their Selenite butler. Erased as well? Then, lastly and most importantly for Karoz, the Boos gallery had now fully manifested on the western edge of fake moon, with the prickly cactus formerly guarding the door from premature visitations also gone.

Snapshot7178_004

Snapshot7178_008

Karoz can finally move forward… back to Collagesity. Once he walks through that open door, this travesty of a moon will no longer have the energy to exist; nothing left alive on it. His period of servitude is near its end.

He looks around one last time at the surface: the glowing entrance to the underground he never got to visit; his crashed, embedded spaceship he worked so hard on to design and build; the oh so blue Second Life cube of a world rotating slowly to the right which he now also knew was fake. He was done with all this. He can build another ship, better and stronger. He can find other worlds to explore. But first he has to get back home.

Snapshot7177_015

He turns around and passes between framing craters to walk across the threshold.

Snapshot7178_012

Looking back through the door, he sees the moon gradually turn darker…

Snapshot7177_022

… and then just wink out of existence, leaving only the starry sky behind.

Snapshot7177_023

Karoz takes the time to study each of Baker B.’s collages on the first floor of the gallery. He reviews what he remembers of the interpretations Baker (me) wrote about them at the end of this past year: the start in rural Missouri, the introduction of Second Life’s Nautilus City images, and then the portal into the tiny, artistic hamlet of Tungaske, Canada, whose energy would entice and grab firm to the series beginning with collages 9 and 10 that finish off this floor.

By the time he circles the walls back around to collage 10 (“Goodwater Goodland 02”) Collagesity had appeared through the gallery door, replacing the stars.

Snapshot7178_013

“Thank the Lord God Almighty,” he declared, tears in his eyes. Home at last.

Lily

Snapshot7174_006

“I think I’ve decided is my favorite spot on the South Pole, Lily. In the middle of your labyrinth.”

“Yes, it was designed as a man trap.” She smiles at him. “We’ve got to have you running it inside and out at least 3 times a day to get you back in shape. I can turn you small beforehand to quadruple the effect.” She shook her head. “You live such a sedentary life, Jack.”

“Yeah, I know. I’ll get back into fighting form, I promise. If we could just solve the problem of merger.”

“Well, as I’ve told you, I can’t double the moon through a magic spell to combine the two poles. You can forget about it.”

Jack hadn’t quite given up the fight. “I’ve showed you the plans. The topography of the North Pole and South Pole fit into each other in unexpected, beneficial ways. Your cottage would slot into my Big Crevice. My shed on one side and Molly’s Cardinal Tree on the other side.”

“It would be too risky,” Lily says firmly, trying to end it. “Our moon friends might be thrown off into space. It could mess up all the side gravities.”

“I just thought a powerful enough spell could protect us.”

“No,” Lily says flatly. “The ancient physics of our moon should not be monkeyed around with. Spells should work side by side with natural laws, not attempt to override or replace them. You listen to me. That’s *that*.”

Snapshot7175_019

“And then the other plan: we can’t drag my shed up here through East Pole.”

“I really don’t have room for it even if we could mustard up enough manpower, which I don’t think is possible. So: no. No go.”

“Ketchup,” he cussed. He had given up again. “So there really is only one way out.”

“Yes,” Lily agrees. She stands up and walks over to the edge of the labyrinth, carefully peering down at the grave on West Pole. Jack joins her.

Snapshot7174_005

“He has both our genes in him this time. He’s programmed differently from Prissy, a slight but important upgrade. And he’s triggered Project Pope in Bendy. Those two should be fine together, now. This should work. We’ll just have to see what happens.”

“The moon is a square that needs rounding, true,” says Jack, looking into her eyes. He loves her so much, he realizes. She is the center now, not the hole in the sky. But he *can* finish his task since he’ll be living here if all goes as scheduled. The sky will be whole and without hole, and the completed sphere can manifest on earth in theory, according to Lily. As above so below. It’s all up to Peter.

Snapshot7175_031
Later that day, with the whale and squid conjoined in the sky again, Peter approaches.

Snapshot7175_027b
The pole opens as planned.

Snapshot7174_010
It worked!! The square was circled, with space both inside and out.

Pope Gabriel Solo (Peter)

popecountyar01
Arkansas

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solsbury_Hill_%28song%29

“Solsbury Hill” is a song by English musician Peter Gabriel about a spiritual experience atop Solsbury Hill in Somerset, England. Gabriel wrote the song after his departure from the progressive rock band Genesis, of which he had been the lead singer since its inception. The song was his debut single. The single was a Top 20 hit in the UK and reached #68 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1977.[1] The song has often been used in film trailers for romantic comedies.[2]

Gabriel has said of the song’s meaning, “It’s about being prepared to lose what you have for what you might get… It’s about letting go.”[3] Former bandmate Tony Banks acknowledges that the song reflects Gabriel’s decision to break ties with Genesis, but it can be also applied in a broader sense.

Peter

Snapshot7170_026

Peter stood in the front of the window with everyone gathered around now. Bendy was still confused about the explanation Lily was providing. “So Soso is good.”

“Soso is *grrr-reat*!” exclaimed Lily, imitating their mutual friend Tony Tiger. All chuckle except Peter, who winced. “Oh, sorry Peter. His ears are still new. Well, *everything* is new.”

“So,” he replied in a squeak. “So so. So.”

“Aww, he’s so *cute*.” Lily gently pinches him on his still forming cheek. “He’s the first Peter to truly be resurrected because he’s the best. And Peter Gabriel embodies Soso to perfection with the unnamed albums, all leading up to ‘So.’ And *so* I think that’s who’s trying to form before us: Peter Gabriel.” She shrugs her shoulders quickly. “It’s just *so* exciting!”

“Ahem, you need to stop with the “so”s,” Jack requested, but with a laugh.

“So so,” repeated Peter. “So so so so.”

Prissy was nervously scratching her fins. “”But why is he a merboy?” she asked. “Like I’m a mergirl?”

“Because he is your brother, Prissy,” Lily explained. “You are only a bit older than he. How old are you now?”

“13,” came the answer. “13 weeks,” she elaborated.

“13 weeks and 2 and a 1/2 days, yes. You were born at noon. Peter here has just manifested at midnight. You are the day and night twins.” Lily then turns to Bendy. “How old are you Bendy?”

“I’m going to go with 13 as well because I don’t really the heck know.”

“Oh, that’s not true Bendy,” Jack spoke. “You know I completed you on the same day as the whale and squid fiasco. That’s why you’re so *bent* up inside; that awful thing was one of the first things you saw with your shiny new metallic beamers. And Bendy became your name because everyone knew you would become truly warped after that. And *so* it came to be… sorry Lily.”

“So so,” Peter gurgles. “So… *lo*.”

Lily claps again. Peter winces again. “Oh, so sorry Peter once more. But you’ve said your first variant word. Solo!” She tried not to be so loud this time but she felt like shouting it from the rooftop. Peter Gabriel!
